Chapter 17: What's Left In The Past, Will Return In The Future

~The Next Day~

Ivy woke up with a light stretch and a yawn as Hody slept peacefully next to her. She smiled down at him and placed a small kiss on his cheek before hopping out of the bed to take a shower. Once she was dressed she quietly went out of the door and walked down the halls until she found to the elevator. She waited patiently until it stopped at the bottom floor then she walked out and went out of the door.

"Finally some fresh air!" Ivy said as she took a deep breathe.

Ivy walked at a normal pace down the crowded streets as she searched for a certain baby store. She had seen a few things the other day that she was just itching to get for the babies. Ivy found it quite comical that even though she was only 3 months she could learn what the babies' genders would be. It was also quite comical that when she and Hody found out that Honey had been smiling the whole day and acting very giddy.

"The world may never know when it comes up to her." Ivy thought as she shrugged off the situation and proceeded to walk down the familiar street to the baby store.

As soon as Ivy walked through the door she was greeted by a mermaid that was wearing a white and red tank top and she had the tail of a koi fish.

"Can I help you with anything?" The mermaid asked in a soft voice.

"Yes, do you still have the white sleigh bed that was in the window yesterday?" Ivy asked kindly with a small smile.

"Yes we do, I can take you right to it. Please follow me." The mermaid said as she ushered Ivy through the sizable store.

Once the baby bed came into view Ivy smiled brightly and starred at it in awe. It was the perfect size for both of the twins to fit in, even once they have grown to about one or two they should still fit in the bed perfectly. Although, there was a possibility that they could get their size from Hody and they would outgrow the thing in no time. Ivy sighed sadly as she thought of how much of a hassle finding the perfect baby bed might be with all of the possibilities that her two unborn children may not be comfortable.

"Is something wrong?" The mermaid asked as soon as she heard the slightly sad sigh from Ivy.

"I'm having a hard time deciding what crib I should get for my children. I want them to be as conformable as they can be, but when you're children are mixed with a fishman and a human that makes it a bit harder to do." Ivy said with disappointed smile.

"Mixed? Your spouse is a fishman? What kind?" The mermaid asked in a polite manner.

"Yep, I feel in love with him at the first sight. He can be a bit of a butt at times, but I still love him more than anything. He's a great white shark fishman." Ivy said with a smile.

"I can tell, most humans don't find spouses with fishmen but you are lucky to even have found that." The mermaid said.

"Yeah and I feel pretty lucky too." Ivy said with a big smile.

"Well I have the perfect bed for you. It should be able to hold both of your children just fine until they turn two or three, even with the chance that they may take their size from their father." The mermaid said as she led Ivy.

~Outside Of The Store~

"Is she really in there?" The Holocaust asked through the Den Den Mushi.

"Yea, Salem said spotted her a few minutes ago and no one else was with her." The fishman said to his boss. He heard a deep chuckled through the other end.

"You know what to do, and don't forget to keep a low profile. Should anything go wrong you two better have a good ass excuse." The Holocaust said then hung up.

"You heard that, we better not make a move until things are just right. Keep your eyes open for any good moments." The fishman said to his partner as they continued to watch the shop.

~Hody~

"They'll be making a move soon, stay in your places and wait for the signal. Once you see it stand in their line of view. While their blinded that will leave me enough time to grab her and head to the back streets. Do you all understand?" Hody said as he stood in a hidden corner of the store.

"Yes, we all understand. Good luck Captain." His crew said as they all waited in their assigned positions.

"Hopefully, we can get her out of here in one piece and she won't put up much of a fight." Hody said as he kept his eyes on the woman that was his daughter-in-law.

"I don't know what Honey saw in her, but there is no way that this woman is that feisty. She looks too damn cheerful to be as gutsy as she says. Although, I have to remember that she is pregnant and that could cover up that side of her easily until someone pushes her buttons the wrong way." Hody said as he studied Ivy closely.

"This is gonna be interesting." Hody said with a devilish smirk.
