Epilogue

Frank

(A/N: Short, simple epilogue. My next post will be thoughts on the actual book and some explanations on some things that might not have been 100% clear. Enjoy! This is by far the shortest chapter I have written, but also the first one these two months that has not been planned out in advance, and that I just kind of made up as I went along. So please review! VICTORY DANCE!)

Frank sat next to the Canoe Lake, watching the campers go about their usual afternoon activities. Since the Giant war had ended, Camp Half-Blood had received a number of daily visitors from the Roman side, and vice versa.

Frank looked down next to his feet, and picked up the tiny stub of wood. It had survived the lava after all. Looking at the sunset, he couldn't be more at ease. Ever since the quest had ended, Jason had decided to join Camp Half-Blood. Percy was preparing to leave for New Rome in two days. A lot had happened in a week.

Frank heard a rustling in the woods. He turned around, and saw Hazel climbing down the slope to get him. "Hey!" he was pleasantly surprised to see her. He kissed her on the lips. "How's it going?"

Hazel's skin glowed in the sunlight. "Well, I am very proud of my boyfriend for being such a tough guy and reflecting on life. Yes, thank you, my Knight in Shining Armor." she did an exaggerated curtsey.

"Why thank you, Madam Levesque," he replied in the most British accent he could raise. He also did an exaggerated bow. "Anyways, what did you come find me for?"

Hazel's expression suddenly turned serious. "It's Nico. He just returned from investigating that thing from Friday. He wants the Seven, Chiron, Dionysus, Reyna and Coach Hedge to be at the big house."

"Reyna's here?" Frank asked. "I thought she was still in New Rome!"

"No, she made a special trip to come here. Besides, you're on vacation too. Speak for yourself!" she teased. "Come on. The others will be waiting.

Nico sat down at the head of the ping-pong table in the big house. Frank still didn't get how Reyna had managed to get to Camp Half-Blood on such short notice. When he asked her about it, she just replied, "Let's say that Hermes had a few packages to deliver."

Nico coughed. Everyone turned around to look at him. Chiron nodded for him to begin.

"Well," he began, "As you all know, last week I went on a quest to find the source of some powerful magic. Well, I found out some things."

"What did you find out, then?" Piper asked.

"Leo, Percy, Annabeth." he said, looking at them. "Percy, I believe you have some explaining to do. As for Leo and Annabeth, I am far more concerned."

He first looked at Leo. "Leo, it's about your lineage. Your family line."

Then he looked at Annabeth, his eyes full of fear. "Annabeth, it's about your cousins."
