A.G. Moria: Thank you for telling me about my little blunder at the end of the last chapter, I'll get on it as soon as I can. And I honestly learned about the hairpins thing from a movie. Although, I forgot which one it was. Also, yeah conversations always start out a bit crazy when Ivy is around.
Sorry guys I had a lot on my plate for these few weeks. I know that I am so darn late with this chapter but I had to get done with all of those things first. What was even worse was that when I was about to get ready to send in the chapter my eyes wanted to give me a hard time. Well here it is and I hope you guys can forgive me. X0
Chapter 19: A Damsel In Distress? Part 2
~Hody Jr.~
Hody woke up with a loud yawn as he turned around expecting to see waves of vermillion hair and dazzling grey and green eyes, but what he saw was an empty pillow. Hody being the overprotective lover he is, did a once over of the room and noticed that Ivy was nowhere in sight. Hody hummed in curiosity and confusion as he rose from the bed and walked into the kitchen and living room to find it empty as well.
"Maybe she's with mom?" He asked himself as he quickly put on a comfortable tee shirt and walked to his mother's personal suite.
Once she opened up the door she looked up at him with a bright smile and then looked around for Ivy.
"Where's Ivy?" Honey asked as she gave a small look of concern and that made Hody frown a bit.
"That's what I was coming to ask you. When I woke up she was gone." Hody said.
"Did you look everywhere in the room? She's a little shrimp compared to you so you might have missed her." Honey said with a small smirk.
"Very funny, but I looked everywhere and she's not in the room. Leave it up to her to go out on her own even after I told her that I needed to keep an eye on her." Hody said as he began to walk towards the elevator.
"Let me check first, you have a habit of overlooking things." Honey said as she walked to the room and looked around for any clues on where Ivy could have went. Within a few minutes she found a small note on the kitchen counter that had been addressed to Hody. Honey rolled her eyes as she was proven yet again that her son misses the tiniest of details then she proceeded to read the letter.
~Letter~
Going shopping for the babies at the baby shop I wanted to see yesterday, I didn't want to wake you up since you were sleeping so peacefully. I should be back no later than 3:30.
P.S. And I promise not to talk to too many strangers.
~End Of Letter~
"He actually gets mad at her for talking to strangers?" Honey thought as she shook her head and then looked at the clock.
Her eyes widened as they stared at the pearl pink shell clock on the wall. She had to walk to the door and back to look at it once again just to be sure she was looking at it right. Unfortunately, her eyes were not playing tricks on her. The clock read exactly 4:45. Honey quickly walked out of the room and walked down the hall to where Hody stood as he waited for her. His facial expression changed to from calm to concern in just a few minutes as Honey quickly walked past him and to the elevator.
"Something's wrong, isn't it?" Hody asked as he stepped into the elevator. Honey quickly pulled out a Den Den Mushi from her purse and dialed a number.
"You don't have to worry she's with me. We ran into a bit of an issue but your guess was right. They're looking for her and what's even worse is that they've somehow managed to get some rookie involved with capturing her. He goes by the name of The Holocaust." A rough baritone voice said on the other end of the Den Den Mushi.
"Where are you two right now?" Honey asked in a serious tone.
"Don't you know? It's where we first met. Has he shitted his pants yet?" Hody asked with a light chuckle.
"Hardly, if anything he's gonna blow a fuse if she has even the tiniest scar or bruise on her body." Honey said.
"Well, he should be just fine then. I don't think he'll be too happy to see me though." The person said in a slightly sad tone.
"You'll never know until we get there. Tell your boys to keep their eyes open." Honey said as she heard a chuckle on other end and then the person hung up.
"Ever since I was a child you've always hid your true intentions and feelings from me. Everything you did was always a mystery to me and I always wondered how someone so sweet could meet a person like him. What exactly are you keeping from me?" Hody asked as he looked down at his mother from the corner of his blood red eyes.
"I had a hunch that someone would come after you two after that incident with that Celestial Dragon and it seems that my hunch was right. While she was out I'm guessing that someone came after her, but they were stopped by-" Honey said but was interrupted by Hody.
"My father. And you didn't think sharing those thoughts was a good idea?!" Hody asked in an aggressive tone. "So I'm guessing that was reason why you chose to take a vacation?" Hody asked.
"Yes, I thought we could avoid them if we weren't around and if your father just handled the situation on his own." Honey said in a sad tone. Hody gave a deep sigh.
"'Whenever you have something on your mind that is making you uneasy you can always talk to me about it.' I told you that when I was 10 years old and you still feel the need to hide things from me. Do you know how many times you've scared me with the things you do all because you won't tell me the truth? You're as sharp as a tack, your assumptions are hardly ever wrong. So why do you still hide things from me?" Hody asked in a soft tone as he wrapped his arms around his mother and held her close.
"Because even though I know that I can trust you, I just can't seem to let myself go. He really broke me up inside, you know? At first, expressing my feelings was an easy task that I sometimes had problems with because I often said too much, but now I can't even utter a word. I'll get over it one day, even if I have to learn trust all over again, I'll do for you." Honey said as she felt hot tears slide down her face.
"Don't do it just for me, do it for you. Not to mention your grandchildren." Hody said as he whipped his mother's tears away and they stepped out of the elevator.
Aaaaand I'll just leave it at that. I hope you all like this chapter and please review and tell me what you think. See ya XD!
