The SISO materialised.
The last of Hawaii's sun shone through the SISO windows.
The Lieutenant and Kellie watched.
"We'd better be quick or we'll miss it," said the Lieutenant.
The Lieutenant and Kellie rushed around the console, pushing themselves through the door at the same time.
"Wow," said Kellie.
"It's beautiful," said the Lieutenant.
The Lieutenant and Kellie held hands and watched the rest of the sunset, of course, not looking directly at it.
Finally, it began to get dark.
"I think that's enough," said the Lieutenant and re-entered the SISO.
Kellie followed.
The Lieutenant operated the controls.
The SISO dematerialised. Half-way through flight, the whole SISO failed and went dead.
"Kellie, hold on," screamed the Lieutenant.
The SISO stopped with a loud bang. Oxygen masks dropped from the ceiling.
The Lieutenant and Kellie lay on the floor of a dead time machine, gasping for breath.
