A/N: This is the last chapter of New, mostly because I can't remember what the actual plotline was, so I'm going to let it end this way. Hope you enjoyed it!~M

The camp sat in the glow of the fire, silently. How exactly does one respond to the honest-to-gods tale of saving the world? There was no snide comment to add onto the end of the story of the most dramatic battle of recent years.

But slowly, they started talking, the silence cracking with whispers and giggles.

"It was really all your fault," Annabeth said, shooting a look at Percy, who rolled his eyes, but pulled her closer to him anyway.

"I vote we beat him up," Piper said, lightly punching him on the arm, her smile almost as wide as Jason's. Percy scowled at her but didn't defend himself as she threatened to hit him.

"Hey, are we beating Percy up?" Hazel asked as she sat back down. Jason and Piper nodded, but Hazel frowned.

"Ah Hazel," Percy said, raising his arms above his head like she were his savior, "You've come to defend me!" He smiled widely and waggled his eyebrows cockily.

"Actually no," she replied, "I was just upset I hadn't been called in to help earlier." Percy scowled, and Annabeth laughed from her spot, leaning heavily on him.

"And here I thought Hazel was nice and kind. Looks are deceiving." Piper said high-fiving Hazel as she took a seat on the bench next to them.

"Hazel hides her evil in her hair. That's why it's so big. It's full of evil." Nico said as he took a seat next to his sister. Annabeth rolled her eyes.

"Really Nico, Mean Girls?" Annabeth shook her head and Nico blushed slightly. Percy, on the other hand, perked right up.

"I love Mean Girls! Tina Fey is hilarious!" He smiled at Annabeth, who had twisted uncomfortably to look at him with an incredulous expression. Percy cleared his throat and smiled crookedly.

"Well, I'm going to bed; I'll see you guys tomorrow for another day of fun!" Percy said, helping Annabeth up and bidding them goodnight.

"See you guys tomorrow," Annabeth said, taking Percy's hand and walking into the woods. Nico called after them.

"Hey, no messing around in the woods you guys!" Percy blushed, but Annabeth just turned around and made an obscene gesture. Hazel blushed.

"We're like, adults." Percy said, holding Annabeth's hand tightly in his own. The forest was quiet, and they were taking the long way back to the cabins.

"It's weird," Annabeth whispered back, as not to disturb the quiet.

"And you know what comes with adulthood," Percy said. Annabeth rolled her eyes, already knowing the horrified ending to his sentence.

"Responsibility," He said with a touch of horror, his voice a low whisper. Annabeth pulled him to a stop and turned his face to look at her.

"Percy," she said, looking into his eyes, a pale green in the perfect moonlight, "We're going to be fine. Chill." He smiled crookedly and nodded.

"Thanks," He said softly as he let go of her hand in favor of the sides of her face. He swept her into a kiss, pulling her close to him like he needed her to live. Annabeth's hands went to his neck, pulling him closer still, but as quickly as it started, it ended.

"The Lovebirds need to cool off," Jason said, stepping out of the woods with the rest of the camp, lighting torches.

"Not again," Annabeth mumbled into Percy's shoulder where she was hiding her face. Percy had shut his eyes and was facing the sky, like maybe if he didn't look at the party crashers, they wouldn't exist.

"Shall we?" Piper said to the campers, who responded vehemently, pulling Percy and Annabeth onto their shoulders. Annabeth started laughing, and Percy soon followed suit, realizing the ridiculousness of their situation.

They were carried, rather roughly, through the forest and dumped unceremoniously into the lake.

"How long do you think they'll stay down there?" Piper said to Jason where they sat on the dock, waiting for Percy and Annabeth.

"Who knows? I think he can stay forever." He responded, throwing an arm around her shoulder in the cool evening air.

"Well I know I could stay here forever," Piper responded, cuddling closer to Jason's chest.

"Well then, let's make this last forever,"
