I like the character Ben on the show he's a nice addition. Enjoy
Well, Ben came back to us with a blank face. He sit on the bed, covered his face with his hands. I looked at him and my mind is full with everything that's going on now. I think I'll just go watch the news to know more about the on-going situation.
"Do you think my family's still alive?" Ben asked, right before I walked outside the room to watch the TV. "I don't know, Ben" I replied, continues to walk.
I turn the TV on and sat in the chair. Ben followed me and sat right next to me.
'We're reporting live at Salem Town Hall, many civilians crowded the building. As you can see, there are still many injured people. They're ready to be quarantine at the Town's park-' Ben change the channel so suddenly.
'-Destroy their head, I repeat, destroy their head! See? There! Wait for it... "BANG!" Now you know how to kill them, do it like in the movies. Go for their head, not their heart-' Ben turned off the TV, his face was blank. No expression and walked to the front entrance, he taken a little peek.
"Now, we know how to kill them. We don't have to be scared anymore, I'll go to save my family" He said, I gasped. "What?! Are you crazy? What if they attack you in numbers? You'll be dead! This is not a game, this is reality!" I yelled, he shook his head and looking at my eyes. "No matter what happens to me, I'll keep going!" He said, unlocked the door and ran outside rapidly.
Soon after he was at the end of the street. Wait, there's none of the zombies outside. Whatever, I gotta lock the door and stay inside. I can't stop Ben anyway, he's too fast to be chased down. I think, we need some sort of weapons to protect ourselves. Maybe I could use some things like a blunt weapon or something, I could use the kitchen knives to stab those monsters head, Yeah! I could use it. It's light and easy to hold, but first I need to tell Abby about Ben and everything.
I walked fast into the staff's room and found Abby lying on the bed, looking at the ceiling. "Hey" I greeted. "Hey" She replied, rolled over and sat on the bed. "Abby, I think I know how to kill those zombies" I said to her, she doesn't even look at me but just quiet. "Really?" She replied, I can tell that she might be depressed right now.
Her father died in front her, she's alone just like me. "Y-yeah, we just have to destroy their head or brain I think. Like in a movie" I said, walked closer to her and took a seat next to her on the bed. "Hey, it's alright now. We're gonna be fine" I whispered, holding her hand. She looked at me with a smile on her face. "Yeah, thanks to you. I can stay here, but destroy their heads? It's sound so classic" She said with another smile on her face.
"Where's Ben?" She asked, rub her eyes with both of her hands. "He's not here anymore..." I replied, hesitate. I'm not sure if he can make it. He's too reckless.
"So? Where is he?" She asked again, "He ran into his house, I'm not sure he'll make it into his house anyway" I replied. "Well, just the two of us. You said that we gotta destroy the head, do you have any weapons to fight huh?"
She asked, crossed her arms around her chest. "Maybe, we can use the kitchen knives as a weapon. It's easy to hold and also light to use as a weapon" I explained. She took a deep breath and stood up.
"So, we're going to do this like in the movies. We also are going to need to barricade this place, so we could hold up and can prevent some of those zombies attack" Abby stated. I nodded as an agreement and also stood up.
We both walk into the storage room, take some items to use for barricade this place. This cafe is not small though. "Sonny, you take the left side and I'll take the right side. First we need to use all the tables to close all the windows, help me to chop off those table's legs" She said, "Okay, move aside!" I ordered. I picked up small Axe from the storage room to chop off all table's legs. Maybe we could also use the table legs to be a blunt weapon. "Outside is clear!" Abby screamed. "Okay! I'll start it now!" I replied, begin to chop the table's legs.
After about 20 minutes, I finished chopping off all of the table legs. Now the last part, we need to barricade the windows using the all of the chopped tables. We both nailed it and closed the windows one by one, but there's one window left. "So, we need something to close that one" I said, "Yeah, we don't have anything left except the couches. How about using the wood planks inside the storage room?" Abby asked, pointing at the storage room. "Yeah, we can use it. But we need to be fast!" I said, walking fast into the storage room and took some of the wood planks. Abby peeking outside from the front entrance. I nailed the wood planks to covered the window and after a minute- "Sonny! Hide!" Abby hissed, closed in locked the entrance. I'm hiding behind the wall beside the front door. We're lucky we finished barricading this place.
"They're going to the town hall..." I muttered, peeking from entrance key hole. "Shit!" I grumbled, it's horde of zombies. They're coming in numbers, I'm amazed. It's been 7 hours and it's already so many people that turned into zombies. Children, elders and also some teenagers already turned into monsters. How about Ben? I wonder if he is still alive.
Haven't I told you? Ben is Abby's Ex-boyfriend, they broke up last week. I can see that Abby is still worrying about Bruce, I know it from the way she asked me about him before.
"GRAAAAAH!" Damn! There's one of those zombies in front of the entrance. Standing like a dummy and doing nothing. It's making me shake with fear. I'll just walk into my room and the apartment and stay there for a moment. "Sonny!" Abby called me. "What?" I replied, whispered. "I just called Ben and he said that... he..." Abby said, tears falling down her cheeks. "He?" I asked, she run towards me and hug me tight, bury her face into my chest.
"He's bitten..." Abby said, she cries in my arms. "Where is he now?" I asked, wrap my hands around her. "He made his way into his house and got bitten right before he reach his house. He's inside his bathroom, waiting for the time to... turn..." Abby answered. "Ssshh... keep your voice down... there's so many of them out there... you can go and rest in my room and the apartment" I said. She nodded and walk upstairs, left me here alone.
I sat on the floor and suddenly... 'Knock-Knock' 'Someone! Open the door!' My eyes widened open, I moved aside and take peek. The horde is gone and there's three person standing in front of the entrance. Two men and one girl, reminds me of the Harry Potter franchise.
I open the entrance and let them in.
"Thanks! I thought you'd never let us in" A girl grab my hand and thanked me. "No problem..." I replied, looking at them. "Really, thank you" She said again happily. "It's okay, really" I replied with a smile on my face. I guess I need them, more people would help.
"My name is Ashley, this is my father Austin Reed" She introduced, "Nice to meet you, young man. You are?" Mr. Reed said. "My name is Sonny, nice to meet you too" I introduced myself. "And he is Will, we met on the road. He joined me and my father for looking a safe place" Ashley said, holding a gun in her hands. "Oh, glad to hear that" I answered, that Will guy is looking straight into my eyes. He has a blue eyes and it's cool.
"Are you alone in here?" Mr. Reed asked politely. "Uh, no sir. There's one girl at the attic, my cousin" I answered, politely also "There's a bed in that room, and I think I'd like to join your group" I said. "No man, we'd like to join you" Mr. Reed said, "Okay, no problem sir" I replied. "Ah come on! Don't call me Mr. or sir, call me Austin" He said with chuckles. "Okay, Sir I-I mean Austin" I replied.
They walked into the staff room, but Will didn't talk or say anything yet. He keep looking at me and honestly it's creepy. It's like he's a psychopath or something. Well... I guess now it's five of us. Surviving... This is our destiny... The New Destiny...
