Chapter 13
After getting patched up, Lucy and Brass made their way to be just outside of the base once again and they were both ready to fight. Lucy had Virgo patch both of them up and get her a set of her regular clothes that she used to be wearing.
"Well kid? Are you ready?" asked Brass.
"Y-yeah." answered Lucy hesitantly. Brass took a step forward and began to pull out his sword.
"WIND BLADE: EXO-SLASH!" Brass chanted.
Two slashes of green wind that crossed over each other shaped like a 'X' were sent flying at the nearest wall and caused a massive explosion. When all of the dust that was created was blown away, a giant hole in the wall was now visible.
"Let's go!" Brass said as he dashed ahead. Lucy quickly followed on his heels.
*With the others*
All of the now captured Fairy Tail members sat lifelessly in their cells, since they couldn't do anything else. But, that was before the whole building shook and a loud explosion rang through the air.
"What the hell!?" everyone said, jumping to their feet. The building began to shake even more. Voices could be heard all the way down the hall.
"Intruders in the lower level!" people cried out.
"Intruders?" Erza said.
"It's probably Lucy!" exclaimed Lisanna, clinging to the bars. More explosions rang through out the building, along with some screams.
"I smell Brass too! Are they together or are they fighting?" said Zander.
Right as he said that, the door that lead to hall they were all in was literally blown off of it's hinges. And some of Jakkuna's grunts were thrown into the hallway, all beaten and unconscious. After the smoke cleared, everyone could see who was at the door way.
"You guys!" a familiar voice called out. The person who just called out stood in front of the where the door formally was. They quickly recognized who it was.
"Lucy!" most of them exclaimed. The first cell Lucy ran to was Lisanna's.
"Lisanna, you ok?" Lucy asked.
Lisanna shook her head in reply while also having a wide smile on her face after seeing that Lucy was still alive and okay. Lucy used some keys she got from one of the guards and began unlocking her cell. Once Lucy did that, she removed Lisanna's handcuffs.
"Lucy, what about..." Lissana said, looking at her friends, Lucy just placed a hand on Lissana's shoulder.
"Hurry and free the others. Brass and I have unfinished business with Jakkuna." Lucy said. Lisanna's face lit up even more after hearing that.
"Lucy, you mean...?" Lisanna said. Lucy turned on her heel and was about to walk out the door, but before she did, she looked over her shoulder and smiled at Lisanna.
"...Even if it'll only be for a little longer, we're all still in the same guild." Lucy said, before running off. Lissana quickly got to work freeing the others.
"Took you long enough. So, gave in to your soft spot huh?" Brass said as he and Lucy were running up a spiral stair case.
"Oh shut up. I only did that because I didn't want to disappoint Lisanna and Zander." Lucy said under her breath.
Brass let out a low chuckle after hearing that. After that, it wasn't too long before they reached Jakkuna's chamber. The door wasn't locked, but the two of them still smashed it in anyway. When they both charged in, Jakkuna was just sitting behind the only desk in his chamber reading, acting like they weren't even there.
"So, the two of you lived after all." said Jakkuna, not even looking at them.
"You know, you shouldn't act so cocky this time. Now, we can both beat your ass." growled Lucy. Jakkuna closed his book and stood up.
"You think you can take me now then?" said Jakkuna.
Neither of them answered. They both just got into a battle stance. Lucy holding her daggers and Brass holding his sword. They both charged at him, but he somehow vanished and they both ended up shattering the desk into splinters and made a small crater in the ground.
"Well, you two do seem more powerful than I gave you credit for." Jakkuna said. He was now actually behind them. They both quickly snapped their heads around to see him.
"Just how strong is this guy?" Lucy said.
"He's strong enough to keep me in check for a long time. So, very strong." Brass answered. Lucy's face slightly paled and she tightened her grips on her daggers.
"Hehe. I think you scared the girl, Brass." Jakkuna said. They both just got into their fighting stances again. They both charged at him once again, but Jakkuna was easily dodging all of their attacks. Not even his clothes were being touched.
"Damn. We're not landing a single hit on this guy." Brass cursed.
"Don't worry. Knowing the others, they'll be here in know time." Lucy said.
"Ah yes, the others. All of you together will be quite troublesome." said Jakkuna.
He jumped back away from Brass and Lucy and swiftly threw off his long cloak, revealing his whole body except for his face that is still hidden by his mask. He wears full body armor that appears to be made out complete steel. And that wasn't the worse part, he also had a lot of magical power pouring out of him. Lucy's face became completely pale now and Brass's eyes widen.
"Ah crap..." mumbled Lucy.
"Not even I've seen this yet." said Brass.
"Hehe. Before your friends can make it here, I'll destroy you both." said Jakkuna.
