Chapter 13
*With the others*
Lisanna had just finished freeing the last of her friends and getting their handcuffs off.
"Alright, now we must go help Lucy." said Erza.
"I bet Brass lead them to Jakkuna's chamber." said Zander. Just as he said that, there was a faint rumbling sound that range throughout the whole building.
"It sounds like they're already fighting!" Lisanna exclaimed. The rumbling then got louder.
"We have to hurry!" Natsu said.
They all ran out of the hall they were in and were about to go the way Brass and Lucy headed in, but right before they did, the ceiling above them caved in. Everyone moved out of the way in time to avoid being crushed. When all of the dust cleared, they all saw a beaten Lucy and Brass on the ground, trying to get back onto their feet.
"Lucy!" Zander and Lisanna exclaimed. Lucy looked up at them and was about to say something, but then another figure came through the hole in the ceiling as well. They could only tell who it was when they saw the mask.
"Th-that mask! It can't be!" said Erza.
"His smell is the same! It's definitely him!" said Wendy.
"So...so this is his true strength." choked out Zander. Jakkuna rose up and looked around at the others.
"Well, it seems that you have all broken free." Jakkuna said.
"Leave them alone!" Lucy shouted, after rising to her feet.
She slashed both of her daggers across her arms and made them become long swords before charging at Jakkuna again. This time, when he dodged one sword, she was just barely able to cut across his mask, causing it to be cut in half and fall off his face. Jakkuna slowly stood back up straight and now, everyone could see what he looks like. The entire right side of his face was scarred and both of his eyes were a bright shade of purple.
"Well, now you know my true face." Jakkuna said. Lucy just got into her battle stance with her swords again. She remembered how, by just revealing one eye, she and Brass got sent flying.
"Brass, can you get up?" Lucy said as she stood beside as he still tried to stand.
"Of course. I won't stop fighting until he's dead." answered Brass, now standing and gripping his sword.
"Lucy, you have to let us help!" called out Lisanna.
"No way! You get everyone out of here. Brass and I will deal with him." said Lucy.
"But Lucy-" Zander tried to say, but as he started talking, all of them except for Lucy and Brass were pushed down against the ground.
"Guys!" Lucy shouted.
"I apologize, but I just can't let any of you people leave here alive." Jakkuna said.
"You rotten..." Lucy growled, gripping her blades tighter.
"Calm down, kid. Getting riled up is exactly what he wants." said Brass.
"Perceptive as always Brass." said Jakkuna. He then used his free hand to send Brass flying back and slammed him against the wall.
"Brass!" exclaimed Lucy.
"Well? What do you plan on doing now, Miss Heartfillia?" said Jakkuna.
Lucy put her attention back on him and her eyes were now full of hatred now that he has hurt all her friends. If it could, her grip also became even tighter on her swords. Without even thinking, she just charged at him. No matter how matter how many times she tried to cut him, he kept dodging her attacks with ease.
"Damn you! Hold still!" shouted Lucy.
"Hehe. That would make this game far too easy." Jakkuna said.
"A game!?" Lucy growled.
"Indeed. So, don't you have anymore tricks?" Jakkuna said. Lucy let out a low hiss and put away one of her daggers. She then pulled out the key of her strongest spirit and used her fresh blood to summon her.
"OPEN GATE OF THE WATER BEARER: AQUARIUS!" Lucy chanted. A blue magic circle appeared and the mermaid spirit then appeared.
"You insolent brat! How dare you summon me using your-" Aquarius began to say.
"Shut up, Aquarius!" Lucy yelled.
Aquarius actually stopped her insult after that. Lucy never had the nerve to talk back to her, let alone say 'shut up'. All of her friends that were still being pushed against the ground were as shocked and dumbfounded by that as much as Aquarius was.
"She yelled at Aquarius." Happy said.
"She's never been able to back talk her." Natsu said.
"That proves she's not screwing around." said Gray. They all just watched how the fight went from that point.
"Now listen Aquarius, today I'm not gonna deal with that horrible attitude of yours. You want to wash me away with a wave, fine. But before anything else, I only want that guy dead." said Lucy. Aquarius just stared at Lucy for a few moments.
"She's dead serious about this. I can tell." thought Aquarius. She let out a sigh and turned towards Jakkuna. Even with one glance, she can tell how dangerous this guy could be.
"As you wish." Aquarius said. She raised her urn over her head and sent a massive whirlpool in Jakkuna's direction.
"Impressive. Being able to control a powerful spirit like that. However..." Jakkuna said. With just one wave of his hand, the wave was sent back at them.
"What the!?" Aquarius exclaimed. The whirlpool hit Lucy and Aquarius dead on and made them both slam into the ceiling and fall back to the ground, coughing and hacking up the water that was in their lungs.
"That won't be good enough." Jakkuna said.
