"Tell me Docso…. What was my grandmother Nano like?" Nano asked as they all sat around the lake.

A lot like you. Kind, sweet,…. Beautiful…. He let out a loud sigh.

"What did he say?" They all turned to Kai who was looking off over the lake.

"Huh?... Oh. He said a lot like you. Kind and sweet."

"Oh….. Thank you….. How did this happen?"

"He's not entirely sure." Kai answered for him.

Kurogane growled slightly from behind them. He was leaning up against a tree and looked annoyed. "Are we going to leave?"

"We cant until we find the feather." Fye laughed.

Leave? You cant leave! He wined softly.

"…What?" Sauro asked looking from Fye to Kai to Docsu.

"….. I don't know what will happen…. I don't think I can leave…. I mean…. How will they understand him?" Kai asked looking up at him.

Fye stared off across the lake. Kurogane growled. Syaoran blinked thinking. Nano, and Sauro stared at the group confused.

Its alright… if you have to I wont force you… he didn't sound as hopeful though.

"What is it that your looking for?" Sauro asked looking at Syaoran.

"We're looking for a feather that belongs to Princess Sakura."

Wait is this feather white with a strange pink design on it?

"Yes." Kai said making them all turn and look at her. "Do you know where it is?"

"Wait he knows where the feather is?" Kurogane asked standing up.

There is a feather down in my cave. I've never touched it and never cared for it but… If it is what your looking for I'll go bring it up.

"Thank you!" Kai smiled.

"Thank you for what?" Fye asked sanding up as well. He had a bad feeling.

"Docsu knows where the feather is. He's going to bring it to us." Docsu nodded and stood up. Then dove into the water.

"That's great!" Syaoran smiled looking over at where Sakura was asleep.

Suddenly there was a strange dark glow from under the water.

"What is that?" Kurogane growled. Fye pulled Kai behind him.

Docsu came up from the water. Only now he seemed darker. And in his mouth was the feather.

"Docsu?" Kai blinked stepping out from behind Fye.

…. Why?... My first friend and now she's being taken away…. His voice sounded different. Like it was in a trance.

"Docsu?... What's wrong?" He turned and looked at her. Then at Fye as the magician stepped up behind her.

They wont take her from me! She MINE! He screamed loudly and charged towards Kai as she fell to the ground clutching her ears in pain.

"Kai!" Fye yelled pulling her out of the way just in time. "Are you okay?"

"Something's wrong with him…" She wined.

"It has to be the feather… It's somehow reacting with him darkly…." Fye said looking at Docsu who had turned to Kurogane.

"Don't hurt him." Kai wined.

"Don't worry. We wont." Syaoran nodded. Then charged towards him. "TRY TO GET THE FEATHER!"

Kai watched from Fye's arms as Syaoran, Sar and Kurogane aimed to steal the feather.

SHE'S MINE! YOU CAN'T TAKE HER! LEAVE US BE! Kai clutched her ears in pain as he screamed. Fye looked down at her sadly.

"Docsu stop!" Kai screamed shooting forward towards Docsu.

Then in a spilt second Syaoran grabbed the feather and Docsu sliced out and hit Kai into a tree.

"KAI!" Fye yelled running to Kai's side.

Kai?... Oh no… What did I do…. Kai?... Kai….? He took a step towards Kai only to be blocked by Kurogane.

"Your going to pay for that!"

Syaoran looked over at Kai, then looked down at the feather. He looked over at Sakura. The feather glowed then flew over to Sakura. The moment it entered Sakura, Docsu's body began to glow. Then it began to shrink.

Soon he stood there. A man with silver hair and green eyes. "Kai….." Tears clouded his eyes. Then he faded away.

"His curse was inflicted by the feather's presence and the darkness under the lake…. Being older as a man than a monster he couldn't live any more…." Syaoran whispered.

"Kai!" Kurogane said seeing the threat was gone. He ran to her side. Fye had already pulled her into his lap and was brushing her hair back with his hand.

"Uh…" She moaned looking up at the two men she had come to care about a lot. "….What…. What happened to Docsu?..."

They all looked at each other and sighed. "Kai….. He's gone…. Without the curse on him he was too old to exist…."

She sighed and leaned her head against Fye's chest. "Poor Docsu…. He died without peace…"

"No…. He died happy with you as his friend." Sar said rubbing his head against her hand and ignoring the guilt Docsu must of felt looking at Kai that last moment.

"… I hope he died happy." Kai sighed closing her eyes weakly. "That's the only way to die…."

"Kai?.."

She responded with a soft snore.

"Do you really have to leave?" Nano asked as they all stood outside of their house.

"Yes." Syaoran nodded looking at Sakura, who was now awake and standing next to him. "We have to go find all of Princess Sakura's feathers."

"Take care." Fye smiled holding Kai.

"We will…. Look after Kai."

"We will." Kurogane nodded.

"Since Kaida is asleep I'll ask for her… Please keep Docsu in good memory. Please remember him and think of him kindly." They all stared at him in shock.

"Oh course." Nano blinked. "But how…"

"Lets just say I know her pretty well." He said looking at his paws. "Lets go."

"Sar…."Sakura blinked.

"Take care." Fye waved as Mokona opened his mouth. Then sucked them all in.

"Uh…." Kai moaned as they landed.

"Kai?" Fye blinked looking down at her.

"Morning…" She smiled. "Uh… Where are we now?" She looked around at the landscape. They were sitting in a field on the side of a road. There were very few trees and besides the half way dying grass there was no plant life.

Syaoran was helping Sakura up. Kurogane was standing up and looking around with Mokona on his head. "At least the white bun didn't land us in the middle of a battle this time."

"Hey where's Sar?" Kai asked looking around. They found the cat staring off into the distance with a look of horror on his face. "Sar?"

"No…. not here….. Why here?..."

"Sar is something wrong?" Kai asked getting out of Fye's arms to walk over to the distressed cat. "Do you know where we are?"

"….In the country of Nol….. The country I was born in…. The country I ran away from…"

"Wait….. This is Kai's and your home world…" Fye asked.

"What?" Kai blinked. "What do you mean my home world?"

"Kai I…." Sar was interrupted by the sound of horses.
