Run Away

When they arrived at the famous Men of Letters' bunker, they knew it was going to be difficult. The Impala roared closely behind them shortly after Anne found out she was related to the Queen of Hell. Her mother told her that she couldn't tell this to the brothers, or the fact that Clara was pregnant. Whatever plan the Winchesters had, they weren't going to help.

Anne knew this was going to be difficult. She knew the brothers would bear down on them hard for answers, especially her, the one who dealt with Crowley.

"They'll have to go through me first." Her mother said firmly.

"And me." Gadreel said with his raspy voice, but his frown made him look like a fierce bodyguard. Anne felt relieved and knew the Winchesters would have to back down and accept defeat.

Then they would leave and never return, even if the bunker was probably the safest place for hunters. Although, they had an order of protection from Hell itself, so they had only the monsters to worry about.

Once they got into the garage, Anne felt nervous as she stepped out of the back seat. Gadreel smiled at her softly and pulled her into him, kissing her forehead tenderly. No words were needed. He was happy for her, proud even, and he'd keep on protecting her against the world. Anne felt so lucky to have him and thanked the Goddess for the night that she nicked him with her car.

"Alright love birds, let's get in." her mother said and walked past them. Gadreel released her from his arms and they followed her mother, and then took the lead to the main room of the bunker. Not long after, the Winchesters drove in their roaring Impala and once the engine stopped, Anne's heart began beating in her chest like some kid going crazy on a drum.

As if Gadreel could sense it, he wrapped an arm around her reassuringly.

"Anne, sweetie." Her mother said and turned to meet her eyes. "Maybe you should pack everything else so we're ready to leave and those brothers can't intimidate you once they get in." she added and Anne didn't argue. She met Gadreel's gaze and flashed him a soft smile. As she began walking away, her mother raised her voice slightly. "And if they slip past us, do whatever is necessary." She added.

Anne wondered if that was code word for her mother giving permission to use her spells against the Winchesters. However, she couldn't imagine herself actually doing that. Casting some sort of barrier spell, yes, but not harm. She glanced over her shoulder and Gadreel returned her soft smile and then she could hear the brothers' voices echoing. Anne began walking faster and was at her bedroom door in no time.

She opened the door and quickly closed it behind her, locking it. She quickly went around the room, gathering everything that belonged to her and Gadreel and simply placed it on the bed. Once she was done, then she began to pack it all away.

At that moment, voices got louder and then there was a sort of bang in the corridor. Anne's heart pounded suddenly in her chest and she quickly rushed to the door and unlocked it, sticking her head out slightly to look.

Gadreel had Dean against the wall and had backed off at that moment, his glare sharp and cold.

"What went on between us and Crowley is none of your business, Dean Winchester." He said as sharply as his glare. Dean remained silent, but it was clear to see that he was pissed off. Then, he walked away and Gadreel stood firmly until he was alone in the hall.

He then turned and met Anne's eyes, as if he knew she was watching. He grinned and walked towards her as she leaned in the doorway of their room.

"Remind me not to make you angry." She said and his grin turned into a smile. "Then again, you're really hot when you're angry." She added and turned into their room, catching his cheeks turning slightly red.

He walked in, closed and locked the door behind him and looked at the bed full of their stuff.

"Need help packing?" he asked and Anne glanced over her shoulder at him with a smile.

"Sure." She replied and they had everything tucked away into their bags within a few minutes.

"The Winchesters can be relentless when they want to be." Gadreel said as he sat on the edge of the bed. "Your mother had enough and told them that we're leaving." He added and Anne sat beside him, staring into his green eyes.

"What did they say?" she asked and smiled as he grinned.

"Argue with an angry mother?" Gadreel asked. "They couldn't try before your mother warned them that this wasn't a safe environment for her daughter, and she didn't mean the bunker." he added and Anne let out a soft giggle as she wrapped her arms around Gadreel's left and rested her head on his shoulder.

"Yeah, that sounds like Mom." She said and once there was a knock on their door, they knew it was time to leave. Gadreel grabbed their bags and she opened the door and smiled at her mother. They walked out into the corridor, but Anne glanced back at that room for a few seconds.

It was hard to believe that she was going to miss it. Then again, whatever is to come next was going to be ten times better than what had happened in that room. She got her mother back.

She joined Gadreel and her mother and ignored the stares she received from the Winchesters as they walked down to the garage.
