Kai blinked waking up tears rolling down her cheek. "….mother…"
"Good morning." Fye smiled sitting next to her.
"Fye?" She glanced around and saw everyone except Sar. "….Where's Sar?" She blinked trying to sit up but blinked seeing Sar laying on her stomach. "Oh…. Brother?..."
He smiled up at her. "Hey…. How are you feeling?"
"Tired…." Kai frowned. "…..Brother….. What happened…. To mom?"
Sar blinked then sighed. "You remember that day?"
Kai nodded. "….I remember …we were in the garden…. The secret one…. The one that dad and mom met in…"
"They… I never knew that …." Sar blinked. "Mom… She was sick…. For years she was sick…. She passed out and well….. Mom didn't have any time for help…. She didn't survive…" Sar sighed.
Kai sighed as tears started to roll down her eyes. "Mom….. Her and me…. We had only just arrived…." Kai sniffled.
Sar nodded. "I remember that day…. Dad was taking me for a walk to talk….." He sighed. "We heard you screaming… While dad ran over to you two I watched shocked…." Sar sighed. "Our timing was horrible…." He said. "I wish I was human so I could cry with you…."
Kai hugged him close crying for the both of them.
Fye, Kurogane, Syaoran, Sakura, and Mokona watched silently.
Kai fell back asleep silently. Sar licked her face gently. "Sleep little Kai….. Rest…."
"It must be hard for them both…" Syaoran sighed weakly. "For Kai…. She just re-lost both her mother and father in one day…."
Sakura sighed. "I know…. Poor Kai…. And Sar…. He had to relive it by talking to her about it…."
Kurogane glanced off weakly. He remembered what it was like to lose both parents in a day. He knew what Kai was going thru.
Fye glanced over. "Oh… What's wrong Kuro-pu?"
"Shut up." Kurogane growled.
"Oh….. Kirgy's being mean!" Fye fake cried.
Kurogane frowned and walked off angrily.
Kai blinked sitting up. Sar was passed out on the blanket and everyone else was gone. …..Mother….. She got up calmly making sure not to wake Sar up and left thru a secret passage she remembered from when she was a kid. She slid out and hurried off in search of the small passage that she had not seen in a long time….
Sar blinked awake and froze not seeing Kai. "KAIDA!" He shot up just as everyone ran in. "She's missing!" He tensed.
"We'll find her." Ryu nodded.
Fye frowned and shot off in search of Kai thinking he knew where to find her.
Kai sighed sitting down among the flowers. "Mom….. I wish you hadn't died…. I wish we hadn't come here…. I wish you were still here with me, Sar… and dad…"
"….Unfortunately things don't always work out."
Kai shot up finding Fye looking at her. "..Uh…. Fye…"
"Hey…. I thought I would find you here…." Fye smiled sitting down. "It's hard I understand…. But it's not your fault that you mother and father are dead…"
"Meniary killed father because of me…. How is it not my fault?"
"Cause you didn't tell him to kill your father….. He choose to himself."
Kai looked down. "….."
"Kai…. Everyone is worried about you. Even Kuro-puu!" He laughed.
Kai smiled. "Thanks Fye." She hugged him and stood up. "You know…. I never returned here till today…. My mom died right over there…" She pointed to a small clearing.
Fye looked over. "It must be hard coming back here after all this time."
"….Yeah…. It is…. But I'm glad I have such a good friend to come with…. Thank you Fye…. You're a good friend."
"It's nothing!" He laughed.
Kai smiled and looked at the clearing. "I remember after mom's death it was really hard….. Even now its hard…. But I'm not alone… I have Sar, you, Syaoran, Sakura, Mokona and Kurogane…."
"Yeah. That's a lot of people!" Fye laughed.
Kai nodded and leaned up against him closing her eyes. "…..What happens now?"
"That's up to you and Sar….. Syaoran, Sakura, Kirgy, and I are still going to travel…. But this is your home and Meniary is gone…"
Kai nodded silently. "Yeah…. I guess we can stay…."
