Marked Man

When Gabriel stood up and looked at the woman that stepped into the office, he seemed slightly stunned. However, she was pissed.

"What the Hell are you doing in Hell?" Clara asked and Ginger crept into the room, baring her fangs and snarling. "Crowley, tell me he isn't a guest." She said and Crowley let out a low chuckle as he rose from behind his desk.

"He is indeed not a guest." He replied and she narrowed her eyes and Ginger snapped her jaw, drool falling to the floor. Crowley crossed the floor and wrapped an arm around her waist, kissing her temple as she continued to glare at the angel.

Gabriel lifted his hands up to her like he did to Crowley, saying that he meant no harm. However, Clara was angry and his presence bothered her greatly.

"You don't remember me, but I was often around you when you were a baby." He said and although Clara's expression didn't change, there was a bit of confusion in her eyes. "Your mother tried to kill you and I talked her out of it." he added, skipping the details, but it didn't help to ease Clara's anger.

She glanced over her shoulder at Nikolai behind her without removing her eyes from Gabriel.

"Escort him out, with persuasion if necessary." She said and Nikolai grinned darkly. Even Crowley grinned at Gabriel.

"I couldn't kill you, nor could I let your mother." Gabriel said quickly and she narrowed her eyes on him. "She wanted me to take you away, but I saw the human in you and knew you had a chance to live and thrive in the world. You still can. I –" Gabriel began, lowering his hands, but she was in no mood listen to him.

"You should have taken me away from her." Clara said and Gabriel frowned as if he didn't understand. "Growing up knowing my mother hated me is the reason why I left the world and embraced the demon within." She said and Gabriel fell silent. The only thing that filled the room was the low growling from the Hellhounds. "You have invaded my Home and I suggest you leave willingly or I'll give the orders to these Hellhounds to rip you to shreds." She added and Gabriel placed his hands in his pockets, standing firmly.

"I'm not a threat to you or your baby. I'm not an enemy." He said and Clara's expression didn't change. Crowley tenderly placed his hand on her stomach and looked at Gabriel with a dark smirk.

"I believe my Queen and child disagree with you." Crowley said, curling his lips into a dark smile.

"Clara, this doesn't have to be a war between Heaven and Hell." Gabriel said and Crowley let out a sharp chuckle.

"And there it is: the real reason why you care." He said and Gabriel glared at him, clenching his fists. However, the angel looked at Clara and he was determined on convincing her, but Crowley knew it was hopeless.

"Either you leave, or we throw you in with your brothers." Crowley said and Gabriel's face became blank, as if he was somewhat stunned. "You think I can't? This is my kingdom. They are my prisoners." Crowley added and Clara looked at him as if she was in awe of some kind. However, when she glanced at Gabriel, there was something in her eyes.

"If you ever come here again, I can promise you I will be the next apocalypse." She said and Gabriel couldn't shake off that blank expression. "Hell has no fury like a pissed off Cambion mother." She added and he stared at her for a brief moment, and then disappeared, leaving behind nothing but the echo of his invisible flapping wings.

Crowley kissed her temple once more, but wrapped both arms around and gently turned her towards him. She looked up into his eyes as he grinned.

"I love the sound of that." He said, however she was in no mood to grin or smile. He could see that something troubled her and it wasn't Gabriel. "Darling?" he asked and she gave a soft smile at the concern in his eyes.

"Just an old flame." She said and he frowned, his concern turning dark, as if he wasn't thrilled. "Forget a hospital. Keara will be born at Home." She said and that darkness in his eyes changed back to concern.

"If you want a hospital, my dear, a hospital you will get." Crowley said and glanced at Nikolai who shifted onto his other foot. "What happened?" he asked, but Clara titled her head and frowned at him, not appreciating that he asked their Knight like she couldn't talk for herself.

"Let's just deal with the fact that there was an angel is our Home." She said and broke free from Crowley's arms and scratching Ginger's head as she sniffed the air, taking in Gabriel's lingering scent. "How did he get in?" she asked and looked up at Crowley with anger shimmering in her eyes.
