Sorry it's so short! Be sure to read my note at the end!
Claire's vision began to fade and she found the pattern extremely tedious. She was tired of continually getting close to unconsciousness, only to be ripped from the peacefulness. She just wanted to go away, just for a little while, and she hurt.
Oh God, she hurt.
She just wanted it all to go away. Just for a while, but no such luck. Claire felt the weight of Brandon suddenly go away and heard a lot of growling, then Shane was over her, pressing something soft to her neck and pulling her to her feet and she groaned out of irritation. Why couldn't anyone leave her alone?
Shane mistook her groan to be pain and held her close, "It's okay, it'll be over soon." She put her full weight on him as her knees buckled and he held her around the waist effortlessly.
She watched as another fight took place, only with more people.
How'd they get here? When?
Claire shook her head, she didn't know why her brain was going so slow. As she looked up again, searching the scene, she saw Amelie, off to the side, hands clasped in front of her, watching the fight with no emotion, and Claire guessed the others involved were her guards.
They surrounded Brandon in a circle in the middle of the wide street. He stood in the middle, hissing and making many sudden movements, his eyes darting around, as if trying to plan a strategy, and he probably was.
Brandon lunged at one of the burly vampires, promptly throwing him across the street and out of view, spurring an attack from the other five simultaneously. Then, he darted out of the circle of attack, seeming that only Alucard had predicted this and caught Brandon around the throat. Amelie took a step forward and Claire heard a voice that she never wanted to hear again.
"Let him go, or the nerd's a goner."

Again, I'm really sorry its so short, I tried to add some filler in there for you guys but nothing was working for me, and I had to leave this cliffhanger. So, who thinks they can tell me who our next surprise guest is going to be? take a wild guess, any guess. whoever can figure out our mystery person, I will dedicate the next chapter to them :) hope you enjoyed
