"Ouch!" Kai moaned rubbing her shoulder as she hung upside down from a tree. "Mokona you need to work on your aim!" She blinked as no response came. "Mokona?" She managed to turn herself right side up and looked around. She was all alone in a forest. "Where is everyone?... MOKONA! SAKURA! SYOARAN! KUROGANE!... FYE!"
She cried weakly collapsing onto the tree branch. "Where are you guys…. What happened?" She cried weakly. "I don't understand…. We were all together a minute ago. What happened to change that? No I have to find the others. I will go find them." She got up and jumped down to the ground. "Hang on guys, I'll find you."
She looked around and frowned. "Which way?"
"Oh look." A childlike voice said from the trees. "A new person….. And she keeps talking to herself."
"I wonder what she is doing here." Another voice said from the other direction.
"Who are you?!" Kai yelled up at the trees. "Where am I?! Where are my friends?!" She looked around nervously.
"Oh…. She knows we are here."
"Of course she does. We are talking out loud." The first voice said sternly. "Answer us first girl. Who are you? Where do you come from?"
Kai frowned looking around at the chartering voices that surrounded her. "… If I answer you will you answer me?"
"Maybe." A gruff voice growled. "Now answer the questions!"
She was silent for a moment. "My name is Kaida Shaiel. My friends call me Kai. I come from another world far away." She was met by silence.
"Another world you say Kaida Shaiel, also known as Kai."
"Just Kai is fine." She said calmly. "And yes."
"Just Kai is from another world." One said.
"Yes. Is it possible?"
"Possible?" Multiple voices chipped together. Kai was nervous, there were more of them than she had realized. She shifted and looked around.
"Just Kai are you she?"
"She who?" Kai frowned. "And you only need to call me Kai."
"…. Kai, are you the she from the wall?"
"I don't know what you are talking about. I just want to find my friends and a feather, then leave."
"THE FEATHER!" Many voices said together in a scared and respecting tone.
"You know of a feather?!" Kai asked exited.
"Kai you are she. SHE IS SHE!" The lead one yelled out to the others. It instantly fell silent.
Kai took a step back. She didn't like the silence. "Well… I've got to go… My friends are waiting for me…" She spun and ran. She dashed through the forest, pushing aside huge leaves and running with all her might. But it wasn't enough. She felt something land on her back and slam her into the ground. Then everything went white for a moment, and then she passed out.
