Fye looked down at the clearing where the monkeys had formed a ring around Kai. Hang on Kai. We'll save you.

"We can take them. They are just monkeys."

"Monkeys that can grow fangs and talons." Syoaran said nursing his recently acquired wounds.

"Maybe we should go find the feather first." Sakura said holding Mokona. "Then we can tell them the feather left and they can give Kai back."

"Great idea Princess. Since it is your feather then it shouldn't kill you!"

"I bet Sakura is the She they were referring to, not Kai." Fye nodded.

"Right." Syoaran nodded. "Alright let's go."

"This way right Mokona?" Sakura asked as they walked.

"Uh huh. I feel it getting stronger."

Sakura nodded looking forward. My feather…. We have to get to it before they do. For Kai.

Fye looked back. "They still aren't following so I guess that's a good thing."

"Yeah but they might know a secret passage way or something." Kurogane growled.

"We just have to hurry." Syoaran nodded speeding up.

The four climbed steadily up the hill till they came to a cave. "This is it." Mokona said. "I can feel the feather coming from in there."

"Right." Sakura nodded stepping forward.

"Wait! Let me accompany you." Syoaran said holding his arm out in front of her. "It could be dangerous."

"Right."

"Kuro-puu and I will keep guard." Fye smiled.

"HEY!" Kurogane growled.

"What's wrong Kuro-puu?" Mokona asked. "Scared you won't be able to fight any thing?"

"Shut up fur ball!"

"We'll hurry." Syoaran nodded then headed in, Sakura followed with Mokona.

"….. Kuro-puu… Do you love Kaida?" Fye asked serious.

He frowned and looked off. "I care for her yes…. She's…. She's like… like my sister."

Fye nodded.

"What about you, magician?"

"….Yes…. I love her."

Kurogane stared at Fye's serious face and nodded. "Then we'd better save her."

"Yeah."

"And you'd better stop annoying me or I'll kill you before you can admit to her."

Fye smiled. "Kuro-puu would never kill me."

"Try me." He grumbled.

Fye laughed. The two then stood there silently, waiting. After a few minutes they heard a noise and tensed. They were surprised to see Kai coming out of the bushes. "KAI!"

"Fye? Kurogane?" She blinked shocked. "What are you doing here?"

"Us?! What about you?!"

"I'm helping out the inhabitance of this world. They told me after I helped them get the feather, which I figure is Sakura's, they would help me find my friends."

"Yeah right! Kai they are just using you." Kurogane growled. "The feather has killed all those who tried to get it up till now. They were planning to send you to your death."

"Uh…. Well we still need to get it. It's Sakura's."

"Don't worry about that." Fye smiled. "Sakura and Syoaran are already going after it."

"They are?" Kai blinked. "You guys know where it is?"

"In the cave." Kurogane grumbled. "Easy enough to figure out."

"Yeah I guess… Will they be okay?"

"It's her feather, I'm sure she'll be alright." Fye smiled. "We were just waiting for those monkeys to bring you."

"Oh…" Kai blinked shocked. She looked at the cave. "Should we go after them?"

"No, who knows how many twist and turns there are in there. We might get lost without Mokona." Fye smiled.

"Besides, if those monkeys come we'll need to be waiting."

"I guess." Kai nodded looking over her shoulder.

"What's wrong?"

"I feel like we are being watched." Before Fye or Kurogane could say anything else, Sakura and Syoaran came out.

"Did you find it?" Kurogane grumbled.

"Yeah." Syoaran smiled.

"Okay we are ready to go!" Mokona smiled hoping up and down on Sakura's shoulder.

"Kai!" Sakura smiled running forward and grabbing her hands. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine." Kai nodded. "What about you?"

"I have my feather so I'm okay."

"SHE HAS IT!" A group of the monkeys shot out of the tree and surrounded them. "GIVE US THE FEATHER!"

Syoaran griped his sword and held it in front of Sakura protectively. Kurogane held his in front of Kai. "Sorry but we can't give you the feather."

"It is ours! You stole it!"

"It's Sakura's feather!" Kai frowned at them. "And I actually felt sorry for you guys."

"The feather belongs to our people. You must give it back to us now!"

"We can't." Kurogane growled.

"It's no longer here." Fye said calmly. "The feather is gone."

The monkeys started freaking out, growing fangs and claws.

"Uh Mokona I think it is time to go." Kai whispered.

"Hold onto each other!" Syoaran said, grabbing Sakura's arm, as Mokona jumped up into the air. Fye grabbed Kai's and Syoaran's, while Kurogane grabbed Kai's other arm.
