Chapter 11

"OLD HAG! OLD MAN! Put my children down! They are mine to cuddle and mine alone!" Cried Naruto as she grabbed her giggling children form their previous captors.

"Mama, Mama, cuddly, cuddly" squealed Ichigo while Orihime squealed "No likely old smokey" as they were smothered by their brightly smiling mother. The family had just finished eating breakfast when the twins both pouted, and the old couple could not overcome there need to hug their too adorable grand children.

"Okay,calm down children and behave for Aunty Shizu while me and grandma go out for a bit okay. Grandpa will be here for a while so don't torture him to much. I love you and will see you by lunch okay." Explained Naruto as she hugged and kissed her children goodbye.

After a teary goodbye and a lot of pulling the surprisingly strong twins off of their mother, Naruto and Tsunade teleported their way to training ground 7.

"Okay, Naruto we are going to be practicing your family kekie genkia, since i was the one to examine your mother I may be able to help you." explained Tsunade as she guided Naruto in a meditation position that would allow her charka to circulate around her body in the most effective way possible. "We are going to go through the biological aspects of your Uzumaki bloodline first, I will be doing a scan of you first, and then we can begin to heal and strengthen what we need to."

With the scan done Tsunade guided Naruto on what bones, muscles and organs needed to be rehealed and strengthened. Nearly all of Naruto's bones had to be snapped and rehealed, along with most of the major organs and muscles in her arms and legs that had been torn from running away from mobs or too much training.

"Ok the only thing I can help you with now is explain like your mother did to me on how to get your regeneration and healing to work. Your mother said that she concentrated on the feeling of her chakra and willing it to do what she wanted with a picture in her mind of what she wanted to happen." Explained Tsunade as Naruto took out a shuriken and use it to make a cut on her scared upper arm.

Tsunade watched as Naruto closed her eyes and concentrate. Naruto went to her chakra center to feel the familiar feeling of her wind like chakra. Naruto took a deep breath as she pulled on her chakra, willing it to travel to the cut skin. Much like she did when she was healing her body a few moments before. Naruto pictured the cut in her mind and imagined her chakra healing the cut to show nothing but clear skin. Naruto breathed in as she felt her chakra doing what she wanted, suddenly naruto's chakra slipped out of control and began to spread around the whole of her body.

Tsunade watched in awe as Naruto's skin began to smoke and glow with bright green chakra. Tsunade began to smile as she saw what the chakra was doing. The chakra was healing all the scars on Naruto's body leaving nothing but clear skin in its wake. Tsunade's smile turned in to a grin as she watched her surrogate daughter realize what had happened, and begin to cry tears of joy as she thoroughly looked for the nonexistent scars on her body. Naruto could do nothing but cry and hold on to Tsunade when the older women came and enveloped Naruto into a hug. Naruto cried tears of sorrow and happiness. She was sad because of how a simple act could take away all evidence of the trails and hardships she had endured in her short existence, like everything she had been through was nothing but a waste of time. And she cried for the freedom that she now felt. The freedom to not be judged by others or herself anymore because of the scars. And the freedom to the constant reminders of every beating, every hardship and every tear she did or didn't cry.

After what seemed like an eternity Tsunade and Naruto untangled themselves, only to lie down on the grass side by side, watching as the clouds went by with out a care in the world.

"Did I ever tell you that I had a family once?" asked Tsunade as she clasped her hand around Naruto's.

"No. You were always sad when I asked you about your past. So I stopped asking, i didn't want to make you upset. What was your family like?"

"Well my mother was a kind women and my father was a good shinobi. I also had a little brother who you remind me of. He was always smiling no matter what, always running around declaring how someday he was going to make me proud by becoming the next Hokage. My best friend and eventual husband was the same. He was just a bit less enthusiastic as my brother. Oh they where so proud and happy when they became ninja. Then the war came. I told the old man that each team needed at a medic on their team. I even volunteered to teach the new medics but it was war and my proposal was denied. If the council had accepted my proposal my husband and brother would still be alive today. I found them dying and it was too late for me to be able to save them. So much for being the best medic in the world," exclaimed Tsunade as she began to sob.

Naruto turned on her side to give Tsunade a hug giving the older women the support that she needed to let out everything she had bottled up.

"W-We then, left the village, and a-a-and, and i drank myself stupid. Oh Naruto, I, I had been pregnant wi-with a beautiful b-ba-baby b-boy. He looked like my h-husband." Explained Tsunade through her heavy sobbing. Her voice cracked and sounded broken as she whispered the last of her confessions with a simple sentence. "My drinking and stress caused me to have a miscarriage at 7 months pregnant, i didn't even know i was pregnant."

The next hour went by with Naruto whispering sweet nothings into the older women's ear, while stroking Tsunade's hair as Tsunade cried herself to sleep, in the loving embrace of her surrogate child's arms.

'I love you like my own, your my little girl Naru don't change in anyway. Stay just the way you are, my little girl," whispered Tsunade as she drifted of to sleep with a smile on her face.

Naruto smiled lovingly at Tsunade, as a single tear rolled from her eyes to show that she had gotten the softly whispered message.
