Kaida laughed as she ate dinner with her brother. Syoaran and Sakura relaxed and happily ate. The only two who weren't happy were Fye and Kurogane. They knew that Kaida's time with them was over, and they were sad. Fye was also jealous. Aido kept flirting with Kaida.
"It's so great to be back home." Kaida smiled. "I've missed you so much brother."
"I've missed you as well. And I am extremely happy you are home."
"It's hard to believe that you've been in a bunch of other worlds." Aido smiled. "I wish I could go. Of course I'm not too keen on giving something up for it. And I can't leave my people."
Kaida laughed. "How is your father?"
"Oh he's fine. Getting older and older, but he's still got a few years."
"That's not a very nice way to talk about him. It's as if you don't care if he dies." Kurogane growled.
"Oh I care!" Aido said seriously. "But you see my father is very old and he's suffering. We all know he's the living dead right now and we don't like seeing him suffer like this."
"Hmm." Kurogane grumbled turning away.
"Aido in your kingdom does a woman have to be the ruler?" Syoaran asked.
"No. We are the rare kingdom that has the first born rule." He laughed. "Sar use to tease me about it when we were children."
"I did not! I merely commented on it."
"Oh you teased and you know it."
Kaida laughed happily.
"Oh Sar… Do you know if there are any of Sakura's feathers here?"
"Actually, yes. We have one in the other room. I found it the other day." Sar smiled.
"Really?" Syoaran smiled.
"Yes. We have been looking all over for them for you guys." Sar smiled. "We only found one, but I hope it will be helpful."
"Thank you." Syoaran smiled.
"Big brother you are amazing." Kaida smiled.
"Thank you Kaida." Sakura smiled. "You letting me sleep in your room."
"I'd feel more comfortable with you in this room. Ryo is outside guarding so we don't have to worry about it." Kaida smiled.
"….. We'll probably be leaving soon now that we've got the feather." Sakura whispered.
"Oh… yea…."
"Are you going to be coming with us?"
"…. No…." Kaida whispered. "My deal was to travel till we returned….. I would love to but I know I need to stay here."
"Oh…." Sakura whispered. "I will miss you."
"I will too…." Kai rolled over and frowned thinking of Fye and Kurogane. I will miss you all.
