Black Eyes

Clara was brought to a bed and both Crowley and Nikolai helped her in. The doctor was in full control of his body, but the second he tried to leave, the demon within him pushed him back in. All the other demons, except a few acting as nurses, stayed out and were acting normal, but obviously surrounding the building and keeping watch.

Crowley glanced at Nikolai and he winked at her and left the room, standing directly in front of the door, keeping guard. Crowley pulled up a chair and sat next to her, holding her hand tightly. She curled her lips at him, as if his hand would relieve her of pain. It was excruciating!

"This is all your fault." She said as she clenched her teeth through the pain. "If you only left me alone." She added and he looked at her as if she was saying random business stuff. "It hurts so much." She said as a tear formed in the corner of eye.

"I know Darling, but you'll be magnificent. Keara will soon be in your arms." He said and she could feel her daughter on her way to being born. However, she was still stuck on the word "magnificent" because it was making her think of Maleficent from "Sleeping Beauty". Then she wondered why he wasn't taking the pain away. He got spells from Anne and now when she needed something, he did nothing!

The doctor was getting ready to help. She looked into his eyes and she could see fear. He was fighting the demon within, but it was controlling his body. Thus, she decided to unleash her anger on him and maybe that would relieve her of pain.

"You better deliver my baby or I'll rip your head off." She said through clenched teeth and the demon released its grip and the doctor nodded in fear. He began pushing her gown up and was about to place his hands inside her to see where Keara was.

Crowley lifted himself out of the chair, but she gripped his hand so tight that he quickly sat back down, clenching his jaw.

"You don't need to poke your nose over there." Clara said and screamed as she felt like she was being ripped in half.

She looked at the windows and could see the clouds turning dark and brewing like a tornado was about to hit. She had never seen anything like it, but it was hard to focus on it with her body being tortured left and right.

The doctor called to the nurses, ordering this and that. It was hard to listen. All Clara could do was focus on her daughter. Her little heart was beating so fast that it frightened Clara. She thought there was something wrong with the delivery, but when she looked out at the window again, she now knew what was wrong.

The angels were coming.

When lightning struck, for a split second she could see the silhouette of angels with large wings in the clouds. The thunder made her think of them banging their armor, if they wore any. Her own heart was beating fast, but she would never allow them anywhere near her daughter. She would shake all of the earth. She would pull the skies down. She would be the next apocalypse.

"Look at me, Darling." Crowley said and when she titled her head in his direction, his eyes were dark, but they offered comfort. He didn't want her to see those angels.

She tried to focus on her daughter and not the angels, but it was hard. Her mind was swirling, diving off in several directions, thinking of so many things that she couldn't make sense of it. One train of thought would quickly crash into another and she'd never be able to finish the previous train of thought.

"Miss, I need you to push." The doctor said and she howled like a Hellhound as she tried. In that moment, as she did, a large crack appeared in the wall behind the doctor, making him tremble.

"Why do I need to do all the work when you're the one trained for it." she snapped and she felt Crowley tap her hand encouragingly as the crack on the wall grew. "Tap me like that one more time and I'll bite your hand off." She snapped at Crowley and then tried to focus herself on pushing Keara out.

If he didn't like being barking at, she didn't notice. The pain was too much to take and the angels in the clouds made her freak out; it wasn't helping her at all to deliver Keara.

The crack on the wall grew, now going to the ceiling, but no one seemed concerned by it except for the nervous doctor. He'd meet her eyes and it scared him; enough to keep him focus on the job at hand.

She pushed as hard as she could, feeling like she was about to force all her organs out of her body. She wasn't even sure if it was working. Was she pushing too hard? Not enough? Why wasn't the doctor telling her anything?

"You're doing nicely." He said and she snarled like she was annoyed, the crack growing in the ceiling, making pieces fall like ashes. "Keep pushing." He added and she growled as she gripped Crowley's hand and the bed sheet hard, her nails digging into both. The crack grew and now Crowley seemed concerned because it would soon be right over his Queen and daughter and if it should fall…?

"You need to calm your rage or focus it elsewhere." He said. She glanced out the window and saw bright blue lights shooting down from the skies and she began trembling. Was she shaking because of the shock of delivering or out of fear of the angels? Is that what Crowley was saying? Focus her rage on the angels? How could she deliver their baby and strike down the angels?

What a moronic bastard.

"Miss, please don't stop pushing." The doctor said and panic rose in Clara's chest, making it difficult to breathe.

"Don't pay them any attention, Darling." Crowley said softly, as if sensing she was in a twirl wind of emotions. "All of Hell is at your feet." He said and she closed her eyes, thinking back to everything he ever promised her. He's never broken a promise yet, so she placed her faith in the fact that Hell wouldn't let the angels near her and Keara. She may be half human, but the demons seemed to admire her for embracing her demon side. It made her think back to what Nikolai had said: We were all made to be what we are, even Crowley. But you? You were born a demon, more than we can ever be.

Pain ripped through her as she continued to push, fresh cracks appearing on the wall, and she was wondering why the stupid doctor didn't give her any type of drugs to kill the pain. What kind of doctor was he? Not the best, that's for sure!

She could feel Keara coming close to leaving her body. As thrilled as Clara was, an end to the pain, part of her knew she was going to miss it: not having her daughter be part of her body. Nothing brings a mother and her child as close as the pregnancy.

There was a sort of rumbling and Clara knew the angels had arrived. Still, there was glowing blue light like shooting stars to the ground. She felt Keara's little heart and then she felt her own, acting strange. It felt like her heart was stopping so it would beat at that same time as Keara's little heart. It hurt, but it made Clara feel stronger.

Those angels thought they could destroy the Cambions? They thought they could win? They were weak and pathetic. Angels aren't the incredible beings humans believe them to be.

It's demons.

At that moment, both their hearts began beating together, Clara knew she couldn't explain it nor would she ever be able to forget this moment. Their powers were synchronizing and working as one. Such a surge; it send a sharp jolt through Clara's body. These powers felt like they were consuming her and she had nothing but rage for those angels. Her vision went dark, but she could still see those blue lights.

She wanted them dead.

The angels that were now making their way to earth had burst into flames and were pulled down by unseen forces that Clara knew too well to be the power of Hell. She felt it: the power of Cambions. Unlimited power…

The earth seemed to tremble. The skies darkened and a sickening sound like a tornado and screeching giants was heard. The room dimed, the energy being drained from the hospital, all seemed dark except for the glow of things falling outside like scorching asteroids.

There was a sudden red glow from the ground and agonizing moans pierced the sound of the storm, like the city was on fire and everyone was feeling the touch of Hell's fires. The screams indicated horrifying pain and all Clara could feel was a profound satisfaction.

When it seemed over, the lights slowly returned in the hospital and the doctor gasped as he looked at Clara.

Her eyes were black with a slight tint of a red glow where her pupils should be, as if it was a window to her demonic soul.

"Almost here." The doctor said with a shaky voice, trembling. Clara knew at that moment that together, her and her daughter, will be able to destroy the world and everything in it if they desire. She didn't know what to think when the thought sort of terrified her. However, it passed over and when she heard Keara let out a cry, she collapsed and sighed, letting tears fall down her face, feeling all that insatiable power fade away. She started to feel like normal and she could breathe effortlessly.

"It's a girl." The doctor said, still sounding shaky, and Clara couldn't help but laugh.

"We already knew that." She said and glanced at Crowley who stared at their daughter as if he didn't know what to think. "Her name is Keara." Clara said and then the demons took over, cleaning the little darling and wrapping her in a blanket, bringing her to her mother. They handled her with caution, like she was made of gold.

Clara sat up and held Keara in her arms as Crowley sat on the edge of the bed with an arm wrapped around her as he stroked his daughter's forehead. He was so speechless, for once, but he was proud. He glanced at Clara and kissed her temple.

She leaned against him as she stared at their daughter's face. She was beautiful.

At that moment, little Keara stirred and cracked her eyes open slightly, only to reveal complete blackness.

"She has her mother's eyes." Crowley said and Clara glanced up at him with a tired smirk on her face. She glanced back down at her baby and knew, black eyes or not, she was a Cambion, just like her mother. But, like her mother, she'd be more demon than human and everything would fear her.

"She's amazing, Your Highness." One demon said to Clara and she looked up at them and smiled. "Keara is a perfect name." the demon added and she looked down at her daughter.

Keara is perfect.
