Caroline didn't quite know what to do with the information about 'the originals' she got from Stefan, she had decided to take her mind of things and had called Bonnie and Elena to meet at the Grill. She narrowed her eyes at Elena when she began to talk about Damon. "I'm disappointed in Stefan, he doesn't even try to look for his brother, I'm really worried about Damon." Bonnie nodded understanding. Caroline snorted and opened her mouth to make a retort but received a message on her cell phone. "It's time" She furrowed her brows. Number unknown. Caroline got up, glanced around. Everything looks the same as always, Matt, the bartender, people having a good time. But she feels all of sudden uneasy.
"Care, is everything okay? What is it?" Bonnie asked her concerned. Caroline shook her head saying:
"Yea, I'm fine, ehm, it's just my mom texted me, I need to go home." Bonnie nodded and her eyes softened. "I'll see ya' guys later."
Caroline was walking to the exit but stopped for a moment when it came to her; Tyler had texted her. It must be true, she had said to him that she would help him with shifting. And it's full moon today. She quickly went to his house hoping she was on time. Who she didn't expect to see was Rebekah, the Original, on Tyler's porch, with Tyler. Tyler struggled but he clearly didn't stand a chance against her. Rebekah dragged him with her, and Caroline decided to follow them to god knows where. She almost couldn't keep up with the speed.
Eventually they stopped in the woods. There were circles of fire and she saw Elena, people she didn't know and Jenna. Clearly, she was left out of something, like always. What the hell. But then she saw it, Elena wasn't here out of here free will, just like Tyler. She decided to text Stefan. "Come to the woods, Elena is in danger." She looked up from her cell phone only to find a man standing very close to her. Gee, never heard of personal space?! She looked him in the eyes, and raised her eyebrows. Caroline also noticed he was hot, but now was not the time tot think about that. He chuckled as if he read her thoughts.
"Love, care to tell me what you're doing here?" She let out a short laugh.
"Seriously? I was supposed to be helping my friend shift, and since he is here not quite willingly and all. You better tell me what is going on." She said with a sweet fake smile. He smirked.
"Why, my apologies, but I cannot do that. But you may enjoy the show." He glanced over his shoulder, he heard someone approach. And Caroline decided that moment to run to her friends and save them.
But someone grabbed her by her waist. Someone strong. "Hello darling, good to see you again," Another man said with a smirk. She glared at him. "I'm going to keep you company for a while." Caroline then saw Stefan, he was also held by someone. They couldn't get away. They couldn't save their friends. Stefan was about to lose his epic love.
"It's time." Caroline heard them say, the same thing that someone texted her tonight. She closed her eyes and cried.
The next morning
When Caroline woke up she was home, she couldn't remember how she got there. She sighed in relief thinking it was all a dream. Elena, Tyler and Jenna aren't dead. She grabbed her phone, and called Stefan. "Stefan, I had the weirdest dream." Caroline exclaimed.
For a moment Stefan didn't speak.
"Caroline, it wasn't a dream, they are dead." Stefan said calmly. Her breath caught in her throat.
But she mumbled denying the truth. "Ha-ha, not funny." And rolled her eyes.
"Caroline, this is no joke, they're dead, deal with it." Stefan groaned.
"What's wrong with you!" She screamed in the phone and threw her phone against the wall and cried in her pillow, no, no, no, this can't be true. But it must be, how else would Stefan know about her dream. What also troubled her was Stefan reaction, like he didn't care. She had to see him.
When she saw all the dead body's in the Salvatore Mansion she knew it, his emotions were turned off. Caroline walked up to Stefan and said angrily. "Stefan this is not you, you're better than this." He dropped the body and licked his lips.
"Caroline, you should turn it off too, it's wonderful." She sighed.
"I understand you don't want to feel, God, I don't want to feel either. But look around you, all those innocent people." She gestured. Stefan just smirked. She groaned and walked away, leaving Stefan alone with the bodies.
Klaus woke up all dirty and naked in the woods, he felt great. He was whole. Both werewolf and vampire, a hybrid. Elijah threw him some clothes. "How long was I out?" He asked.
"A few days."
"It went well, brother." He smiled. Elijah nodded and left him alone. Klaus decided to pay a visit to Caroline Forbes, he hadn't wanted her to be present at the sacrifice, but faith had other plans. Maybe now he could finally claim her. But he realized that it would be hard, he had after all killed her friends.
He stood before her door and knocked. She opened the door. Her mouth fell open, her eyes swollen and red from crying. He really wanted to take her in his arms and comfort her, but that would be awkward since he is the reason for all this. Before he could say anything she cut him off.
"You! how dare you," She stared daggers at him "How dare you just turn up for my door, like you didn't just kill my friends a few days ago." She exclaimed disbelieving. She hit him on his chest a few times. "What's wrong with you? Who are you, what are you even doing here, God, I'm going to kill you."
Klaus held back a smile for her little tirade and let her hit him a few more times but then after a moment caught her arms and said "Shh, easy, love." She glared harder. "You do know me," He dilated his eyes. "remember." Klaus watched her eyes widen as the memories all flooded back. She closed her eyes.
"Klaus." She whispered. He nodded staring at her intently. "I hate you,"
"I know, sweetheart," He sighed, "I know."
Hey, I'm sorry for the long wait, I had no inspiration. Please, tell me what you think. X
