Finally I can update this story! Haven't updated this story in forever! Please don't be annoyed at the short chapter, I'm typing this on my tablet, and it's harder to type on a touchscreen keyboard. Anyway here is the new chapter of Past Meets Present! Enjoy!
Previously on Past Meets Present- See what I did there?
"Ladies and gentlemen. Introducing… us!" Jay said excitedly. As the older ninja walked to the front. They introduced themselves.
"Wanna know what we become in the future?" Young Kai asked.
"Yes!" The class cheered.
"Okay, we become... NINJAS!" he shouted, excited.
A few students laughed.
"It's true!" older Kai said as they spun into their ninja suits.
Present-
The students and teacher gaped in awe at the ninjas in front of them. 5 of their current classmates/students were going to become NINJAS in 5 years' time?
"That's so COOL!" one boy with brown hair, a blue t-shirt, and blue denim jeans with red converse yelled in an excited tone.
"AWESOME!" another girl who had blonde hair, a pink hoodie, and black leggings with white Nikes on said.
Older Karen's POV
"How do you become ninjas?" the teacher asked.
"Well," I began, "we can't tell you every detail, like what we were doing when we were recruited to be ninja, because it could affect the future, but we can tell you some things on how we became ninja and what we already told our younger selves." I replied, gesturing towards them.
"Okay, go on," my former elementary school teacher encouraged.
"First, does everyone know the story of how Ninjago was created?" I asked all my former classmates and teacher. Only my teacher and a few classmates nodded. The rest of them shook their heads. I sighed. Here goes nothing. I started telling the story.
"Long before time had a name, Ninjago was created by the first Spinjitzu Master using only the raw power of the four elemental golden weapons of Spinjitzu, the Scythe of Quakes, the Nunchucks of Lightning, the Sherikens of Ice, and the Sword of Fire. Weapons so powerful, no one other than he could handle all of their power at once. When he passed, his two sons swore to protect them, but the oldest was consumed by darkness and wanted to possess them. Little did he know, however (A/N this is my own little part of the story I added, so Karen's weapon can be included.) there was another weapon, created by the first Spinjitzu Master's wife, the silver Trident of Water. The eldest son didn't know about that one, but when he tried to steal the weapons, he was struck down and banished to the Underworld, but he swore to one day return. Knowing his brother's reckless ambition for power, the younger brother hid the weapons and placed a guardian to protect each one, including the silver trident. And for fear of his own demise, he made a map of where the weapons were hidden for an honest man to hide. That honest man," I winked at my brother and sister, "Me, Kai, and Nya know very well." I looked at mine and my sibling's younger selves. The looks or surprise on their faces was priceless. Needing to catch my breath, I let Kai tell the second half of the story. Since I am a ninja (A/N: I know the proper term for a female ninja is Kunochi- did I spell that right?- but it sounds kinda weird, and I like the word ninja better, so I'm sticking with that for Karen and Sarah- my other OC in reunited,- and the other OCs used in that story are just female ninja, not Kunochi, okay?) I am used to running, training, and fighting without having to catch my breath, but telling stories is a different story, lol. Kai told the second half of the story about how the Spinjitzu Master fought the Overlord, but could not defeat him because the Overlord created his indestructible stone army, so he divided Ninjago in two, leaving the Overlord and his stone army trapped on the Island Of Darkness, until recently, when we defeated and destroyed both. When Kai finished, everyone other than me and the other older ninja stared at us in awe.
"Wow," one kid said.
"Yes, but other than the Overlord and this Stone army, what does that have to do with you becoming ninjas?" my former teacher asked.
I let Cole take the lead on this one, since he was the first to be recruited.
"Well," he started, our Sensei, Sensei Wu, the one who trained us, originally wanted four ninja to find and help protect the Weapons of Spinjitzu from Lord Garmadon, the eldest brother who wanted to possess them. He found me, a couple weeks later, found Jay, then Zane, and Kai was the last to be found, or so we thought." Cole explained. I actually sort of forgot that Zane was there, since he's been so quiet through all this. He and Lloyd were just watching intently. Then Kai spoke up again.
"Later, we were returning home from a mission when we discovered the prophecy of the Green Ninja, destined to defeat the dark lord," He said, gesturing towards Lloyd.
"Anyway, after that, Sensei Wu discovered a new prophecy about some sort of new evil arising, and these prophecies are never wrong, it is destiny. The prophecy said they would need the help of a new ninja, the purple ninja of water, to help them defeat it. I think you can all guess who the purple ninja is, huh?" I asked, smiling and gesturing towards myself and my younger self.
"You?" the same girl from earlier who I'd recognize as one of my old friends Emily.
"Yep." I replied.
"Cool!" she exclaimed.
"Wait, you said you are the purple ninja of water. What does that mean?" my teacher asked.
"Oh oops, I guess we forgot about that part. Remember when I mentioned the elemental golden and silver weapons of Spinjitzu?"
"Yes."
"Well, the elements of fire, earth, lightning, ice, and water all correspond with the weapons, nut they also correspond with us. There is also the element of Energy, but there there's no weapon for that, because it's the most powerful of all the elements. There are other elements as well, like speed, nature, metal, mind, form, ember, poison, shadow, gravity, smoke, and sound, but we don't control those. We're the elemental ninja, masters of the elements, meaning we have the power to control these elements. I'm the ninja of water." I explained as I levitated the water from the teacher's glass, formed it into the shape of a trident. My former classmates and teacher again gaped in awe. I giggled, and kept the water trident in the air. My teacher didn't mind since she had two glasses of water on her desk.
"I'm the ninja of fire!" Kai said as he lit his hand on fire then quickly put it out so it wouldn't catch and the smoke alarms wouldn't go off.
"I'm the ninja of Lightning!" Jay exclaimed as lightning bolts shot out of his hands (A/N: The way he did when he was fighting Cole in the Tournament of Elements) They then disappeared.
"I am the ninja of Ice." Zane stated as he walked over to the water trident I was still holding in the air. What he did next kind of surprised me. He froze the trident, grabbed it before it fell, and gave it to me. "How sweet! I thought. I blushed. He did too. I hope no one else noticed the blushing.
It was Cole's turn. "I am the ninja of earth," he said as rocks formed in his hands and a small dirt pile at his feet. He then made both disappear, so he wouldn't leave a mess.
"And I am the ninja of Energy, the most powerful of all the elements, plus I can control the other five elements that they have," Lloyd explained, as he all the elements and created a small energy ball in his hands, then made it disappear again.
I looked at the students. They all had their mouths open. I giggled.
"And what about you Nya?" the teacher asked.
"Oh well I'm not exactly a ninja, I don't have a special power that I know of yet. But I live and train with the ninjas. I am a samurai. Samurai X to be precise." Nya explained.
"Good for you. Do you fight many enemies?" the boy from earlier called Joel asked.
"Yes, but we can't say what kind of enemies, because we need these events to occur in order for the future to stay the same." I replied.
"Okay,"
A girl with black hair, a green shirt, black leggings, and pink skirt, and blue flip-flops on raised her hand. I immediately recognized her as Jennifer, because she was in my class.
"Yes?" I asked.
"What's Spinjitzu?" she asked. I giggled again.
"Spinjitzu, is this." I smirked.
"NINJA-GO!" We showed them our coloured tornadoes.
"COOL!" They all shouted.
I smiled and looked at the other ninjas and my sister. I knew what we were all thinking. This is turning out to be an awesome day.
So there's an update! Hope you liked! Please R&R but please no flamers. Until next time.
