Author's Note: Ah, sorry guys. It's been rough the last few months. I'll do my best to upload as much as possible. Last month, I kinda got pulled into doing NaNoWriMo for my creative writing class.
Disclaimer: I do not own Katekyo Hitman Reborn.
I sit at my desk and look towards the window with a blank expression. I don't have a parent, so I'm not freaking out like the others. It's not like Onii-chan'll show up for this. I don't need him to though. I'll be fine on my own for this. "Hey, No-Good Tsuna. You're going to make us laugh for this year's class visitation too, right?" I hear a male ask. I glance in their direction.
"Last year's was great!" says the other male. Then, he imitates a teacher, "Sawada! Translate 'this is a pencil' into English."
"Uh…I am a….p-pencil!" says the first male. They burst out in laughter.
"That's 'I am a pencil'!" the other says. "Even elementary-schoolers know that!" They continue to laugh at Tsuna.
"Hey, you guys. I won't show mercy to anyone who laughs at the Tenth," says Gokudera.
Yamamoto walks next to Gokudera and asks, "Isn't that enough?"
"E-Excuse us…!" they say together as they tremble and start to head towards my direction to escape. I stand up and stick my leg out. People like this are the worst. I'll see that they're properly embarrassed.
"Thanks, Gokudera-kun, Yamamoto," says Tsuna.
"No! Let's teach them a lesson. Leave it to me!" says Gokudera, holding up dynamite.
I cry out in pain as the two males trip over my leg and face plant, "Ow!" I sniffle a little as tears well up in my eyes.
"H-Hisoka-chan?" Tsuna asks timidly.
Tsuna, Yamamoto, and Gokudera come over. "Huh? What happened, Hisoka?" Yamamoto asks.
I look up at them tearfully. "They kicked me," I say with another sniffle. The tears welling up in my eyes start to fall onto my cheeks. The class starts to murmur about the two males and I know that my mission is complete.
When the others head off the yell at the two males, I look at Tsuna. "H-Hisoka-chan…that's scary…" Tsuna says. I flash a peace sign at him cheerily. Oh, so he knows I did it on purpose.
"Don't worry about the people behind you. Relax and show them your normal selves. I'll also make mistakes as usual," advises the teacher. This receives laughs from parents. I feel bad for Tsuna as his mother embarrasses him.
"Let's start with students who aren't good with math. Yamamoto, you want to give it a try?" says the teacher.
I look at Yamamoto. "Right off the bat?" he asks.
"Now's your chance to redeem yourself. What's your answer?" the teacher says.
Yamamoto stands up. "About one-half," Yamamoto replies cheerfully. I assume that he's guessing again. I stare blankly at the question, feeling too lazy to actually solve it.
"Hey, are you guessing again?" the teacher asks. He pauses and then checks the answer book. "Wait. That's correct."
"Lucky!" Yamamoto exclaims. The class exclaims in awe.
Yamamoto's dad calls out, "Way to go, Takeshi! We're gonna have fatty tuna tonight."
"Geez, old man." Yamamoto looks embarrassed.
His dad continues to praise, "He's got good instincts! That's my boy!"
"That's embarrassing."
"The next problem…" the teacher starts as he looks around the classroom. "What about you, Kaneda?"
"Eh?! Um…" one of the males that were making fun of Tsuna before replies. "I, um…" I smirk to myself.
An obnoxious voice laughs. "Ohohoho! This will be easy for my little Osamu-chan. He's going to Tokyo U and succeeding our family business." Oh really now?
"Oh," another mother says.
"I'm envious," comments another.
Gokudera mutters, "Geez, pathetic."
"Gokudera! No personal chatter," the teacher scolds.
"Hmph," Gokudera replies.
The mothers from before comment, "What's with that child's attitude?"
"He must be a delinquent."
"Seems like it."
Gokudera scoffs and the teacher seems to be losing patience. "Gokudera! Can't you at least sit normally during class visitation?" As usual, Gokudera is leaning back on his chair and has his feet propped up on the table.
"Can't," Gokudera replies.
"What?" the teacher asks. Seeming visibly annoyed now, the teacher says, "All right Gokudera, solve the next problem!"
Gokudera replies, "Seven point five."
"C-Correct. Then solve the third problem," the teacher says.
Even before the teacher finishes speaking, Gokudera replies, "X equals five, Y equals zero point five."
Realizing that he can't win at this, the teacher gives up. "That's right. Correct."
The fangirls squeal. "Gokudera-kun! So cool!" Gokudera scoffs again.
"Next," the teacher starts. I see him look at Sawada and I raise my hand. "Huh? Rokudo? Is something wrong?" the teacher asks.
"N-No," I reply timidly. I shuffle my feet. "But, um… would it be alright if I just got this over with?" I ask.
"What?" he asks. He scratches the back of his head. "I-I guess so," the teacher replies. He seems confused, but he starts to look through the questions. Tsuna lets out a sigh of relief and smiles at me.
It seems like I got unwanted attention in the process though. I listen to the parents talk about me. "What's with that girl? She looks a little too young, don't you think?"
"The shade of her eyes…"
"You're right, it's kind of creepy looking."
"Is she some kind of child prodigy?"
I'm thirteen. Stop… I pull together a bit of will power and turn to the mothers muttering about me. "I'm sorry that my eyes look creepy, but Okaa-san was albino…" I look at them tearfully and the mothers quiet down.
The classroom is slowly being a scary place with Reborn running the class. It's not that it bothers me too much, but I'm worried about what's to come. Also, it bothers me that this is being used to determine who could potentially be in the mafia. "How boisterous," Hibari says from outside of the classroom.
"Hibari-san!" Tsuna exclaims.
"Be quiet or I'm going to bite you to death," Hibari commands. The room falls dead silent.
Reborn greets, "Ciaossu!"
"So, it's the infant…" Hibari says. He glances at me.
I stand up and go over to Hibari. "It's scary in here, Hibari-san," I say. I fully intend on escaping.
"Don't get up without permission, Hisoka," Reborn commands he throws a stick of chalk at me.
I jump out of the way with a yelp. "Kya!" I exclaim. The chalk hits the wall and turns into powder. I flinch. I hide behind Hibari. "Can I leave? Please?" I plead to Hibari. I smile as I succeed somehow.
"She's so…" I hear someone start to comment in the classroom. "Persuasive somehow?"
"No, I think it's more like you just automatically want to protect her…"
"She just looks so innocent…"
"She even got Hibari-san…"
"She might actually be kind of dangerous after all…"
