Ugh...

This was a very very hard thing for me to write... But it had to be done.

Hey everyone. It's me, Silvermane34 from Silver Lion Inc. It's been awhile since I posted something on this part of the site and for that I deeply apologize... But I'm afraid it's time to stop.

As of today, Super Smash Bros. Unlimited and Journey of the King of Hearts have been discontinued.

Now I'm pretty there weren't even many people who even enjoyed those horrendous things I called stories to begin with... But for those who did, and even for those who didn't, I believe an explanation is in order. One of the reasons I'm posting this here is because between the two, Jotkoh has the most views so... Well let's start from, well, the beginning, I guess.

I started writing SSBU in 2011, when I was twelve. And looking back, I realize just how... bad it was.

I mean, I was a twelve year old kid who barely knew grammar and who barely spellchecked his writing and I was trying to write a project as big as that. First of all, school completely crowded my twelve year old self's time. Plus at the time, it was really just a crappy mix of everything I liked when I was a kid. It was just... bad. I mean, come on! 130 contestants? What was I even thinking?!

And then I goofed up even more when I decided to write it's companion piece Jotkoh, which, again, looking back is just plain stupid. I mean, the overall plot may sound decent, but just by reading the first few chapters you can tell it's mediocre.

Is that why I'm cancelling them? Not... entirely.

First of all, it's 2015 and I'm sixteen, seventeen in October. I'm finally old enough to see where I went wrong with these fics. But that's only the tip of the iceberg. You see, in recent years, I've taken an interest in art and animation, which you can see some of it on my DeviantArt page. Anyway, during my newfound love for drawing, I developed several small original concepts. The first was a story called Ghost Tales, which only has five chapters posted that are still on FictionPress. It was a small attempt I tried during my hiatus, which did not go very far because I felt as if I needed to write thee two fanfics...

Anyway, I stopped writing Ghost Tales and decided to scrap it... for the time being. Afterwards I created a concept of a story that's stuck with me ever since: The Multiverse Academy.

I won't go into much detail about it since that's not why I'm here, but to summarize, The Multiverse Academy ended up becoming my most dedicated series to date. While I don't have much about it online, I have created tons and tons of material I keep in several folders around my house, and quite frankly, it just keeps growing. That blonde kid I have as my profile picture? That's the main character.

What does this have to do with the cancellation of my two fics? Well... TMA ended up becoming what I like to call my "hub".

The story revolves a group of friends travelling around the Multiverse... But what was the Multiverse? The story had gone through some major changes since it's conception and now I had to answer that. The answer... was my Multiverse.

My stories! My original concepts just ended up... merging with this story. TMA was about these kids travelling the Multiverse, while my stories ended up becoming universes in this Multiverse! TMA helped me develop my story universe format. How universes work, dimensions, etc. The Multiverse of The Multiverse Academy became my own library of stories. Heck, even my Persona 3 fic ended up combining with it. TMA helped me create... the Silver Lion Library.

Which is where SSBU and Jotkoh come in. I developed TMA recently, with the definitive version only being defined about a year ago. But this... melting pot of universes ended up conflicting with the universe I made for SSBU and Jotkoh.

They just didn't fit... And I don't know how to make them fit. At this point, I have pretty much forgotten where I was going with these stories... I just... can't continue them. I just... can't.

What does this mean for me?

Well I'm going to devote my full attention to my Persona fiction and maybe even write a few one-shots about other series, like RWBY, Familiar of Zero, Fairy Tail, A Certain Magical Index, Dangan Ronpa, Skullgirls... And maybe even a few Smash Bros. one-shots. And while the stories have been discontinued... that doesn't mean I won't come back to them. For now, their dead, but who knows? Maybe I'll go back to it and write something that connects them with my Multiverse. If I do, expect MAJOR changes.

Thanks to everyone who sent me an OC. And I'm really sorry I could chalk up to your expectations... But it was fun while it lasted. Who knows? Maybe you will see them again. Even those that weren't really used much...

Thank you for reading and giving me this great experience. Looking back... I can see just how far I've gotten.

I've learned what it's like to be praised.

I've learned what it's like to be insulted.

I've learned the difference between constructive and hurtful criticism.

I've learned that there are those who support you, and those that wished you just stopped.

A special thanks to Justice Tokidoki, Super Shadowsonic, Rudy Dale, hanon4life and everyone else who reviewed and enjoyed these stories. Each and every single one of you are people who really helped me out with these fics, whether it was just a little moral boost or just helping me out.

These fics will still stay up, for those who want to see how far I've gone, how much I've changed. And to help me if I ever decide to pick then up again. I'll be subtitling them Silver's Scraps from now on.

Again... Thank you everyone for giving me this great learning experience... Thank you.

Until next time.
