"What do you want to do now?" Maura asked after a while.

"I don't know. What do you want to do?" Jane answered as she rolled onto her side to look up at Maura who lay on her back with one hand behind her head.

"I don't know. What do you want to do?" Jane snorted as she laughed; asking questions like teenagers. She looked up into Maura's eyes and bit her lip, feeling so beautifully in love. Her body felt full of warmth and cool at the same time. Warm love pumped through her veins and cool serenity graced her thoughts. It never felt like this with Casey, which made her realise that maybe she wasn't as in love with him as she'd made it out to be.

"We could sleep. It is late."

"Nah... I'm not sleepy," Jane argued, flipping onto her tummy and propping herself up with her elbows. Her hair flowed over her shoulders and Maura reached up with her left hand to twirl it between her fingers. "We could watch something."

"I don't want to do anything. I like just... lying here... with you."

"Yeah," Jane said as she pulled a pillow over to place under her head. "I like that." She threw an arm across Maura's tummy and drew small circles on her side. Maura pulled her left arm above her head as Jane changed position and rolled to her side to face her girlfriend, who removed her arm from around the blonde and tucked it in at her side. Maura placed a pillow under her head as well then slipped her arm underneath to boost her up that little bit more.

She began drawing the same small circles on Jane's back as she closed her eyes. Her hand trailed down the detective's spine to the arch of her lower back then over the rise of her bottom. She moved her hand off to the far side of Jane and then back up again to gather her hair and move it off her back. She leaned over slowly and pressed a chaste kiss to Jane's cheek before whispering, "You're beautiful."

"I'm only beautiful because you love me." Maura smiled simply; tingling inside due to Jane's corny lines.

"You're a walking romantic comedy, you know that?"

"I'm only a walking romantic comedy because you love me." A soft laughter fell from Maura's mouth before she kissed Jane's cheek again, feeling the brunette smile underneath it. She rolled back and smiled at Jane, before the other's faded. "Maura?"

"Yes, Jane."

"Do you... um...Do you..."

"Jane, whatever you want to ask, it's okay."

"Do you have any sex things that I should know about."

"Like STDs?"

"No," Jane grumbled, before burying her face into her pillow.

"Jane!" Maura giggled, prompting Jane to look back up.

"Do you not like certain things, but like others... during sex, before sex... used for sex?" Jane asked with a slight screw up of her face.

"Oh. Um... no. I mean, if you're open to try things, we can."

"No! I mean, not just yet." Maura reached over and stroked Jane's cheek, seeing that she was getting flustered. "I've just never thought about it before."

"But now you are?"

"Yeah."

"Why?"

"That girl we found... the one that committed suicide."

"Yeah?"

"Well, she liked BDSM, and I just wondered, that's all."

"That's okay, Jane. It's healthy to have a good outlook on different things, especially if they're new to you, or you've never tried them before."

"Have you tried them?"

"I've... fiddled-"

"Okay, stop." Jane sat up completely now onto her knees, slouching a little. Maura looked at her, knowing she wanted to say something, but probably didn't know how to word it, so she placed a hand on her knee. "I just... I want to. With you."

"BDSM?"

"I don't know. Different things. I don't know what, but you make me want to change."

"Well, I don't want you to change."

"In a good way, Maur; you know... broadening my horizons, getting a different view on things, opening my mind to what else is out there."

"Well, I'm glad."

"Yeah?"

"Yes. Because I've never... I've tried different things by myself, but I never felt confident enough to try with someone else, so maybe..."

"If we tried together?"

"Yeah," Maura agreed with a cheeky smile, sticking her tongue out between her teeth slightly. She lay back down on her side as Jane eased herself back onto her tummy. Jane reached around and grabbed Maura's hand and pulled it to her mouth, making her roll over as well, and placed a kiss on the back of it. She let it sit on the edge of her pillow by her lips as she wrapped her arm around Maura's back and threw a leg over her as well.

"You're perfect, you know that?"

"I'm only perfect because you love me."

As the sun swam through the openness of Maura's house the next morning, Angela let herself in to wake up the two girls, as it was almost eight o'clock and she hadn't seen either of them up and about yet. She patted Jo's head and rounded Bass to the hallway, but when she saw that Maura's bed hadn't been slept in, and she doubted that they slept in the guest bedroom, she pulled out her phone and dialled Jane's number.

A subtle buzz could be heard and so she followed it to Jane's phone which sat on the table behind Maura's couch. She frowned in confusion, but just then she saw a stray leg; a naked stray leg, kicked out. She leaned over the back of the couch slowly, squinting slightly as she was unsure, yet somehow sure of what she would find. "Oh, Janie!" she screeched, causing the two naked women on the floor to bound up and scramble as they searched for their clothes.

"Ma!" Jane screamed as she grabbed her shirt and pulled it over her head. "Turn around!"

"Oh!" the elder Rizzoli exclaimed before she spun her back to the excess amount of skin that was on show. Maura stood up as she jumped into her pants and simultaneously tried to put the cushions back on the couch. Jane bounced up and rounded the couch to scold her mother, grabbing her phone in the process. She almost swore when she saw the time, but thought she'd better not give her mother a reason to be mad at her in return.

"Ma, what the hell?"

"Well, you two weren't up, and I was worried-"

"So you stare at us in the nude?!"

"No! How was I to know that you'd be naked on the floor? Without even so much as a blanket, I mean, really, Jane."

"Still!"

"Can I get you some coffee, Angela?" Maura chimed in, trying to sooth the explosive atmosphere.

"I'm fine, thank you, but Jane; you need to get to work," Angela pointed out as she turned back to her daughter. Jane held her finger up to silence the other woman as she held her phone up to her ear.

"Yeah, hi, Vince. Maura had a bad night, so I'll be a little late today."

"Ja-" she was cut off as Jane sternly pointed her finger at her, warning her not to squeal on them.

"Thanks, Vince. I'll see later." She hung up and shoved her phone into her back pocket and marched into the kitchen for her morning coffee. Maura held up her cup, from which she immediately took a large sip.

"Well, now that you're both up," Angela started, which caused Jane to glare at her, making her glare back. "I wanted to let you know that I'll be out tonight, so don't wait up or anything."

"Why? Where are you going?"

"That's for me to know and you to not find out," Angela said as she walked to the door.

"Ma, I'm a detective; I always find out." Jane almost choked on her coffee as Angela stuck her tongue out at her before leaving. "Well, I'd better get dressed."

"And I'd better straighten up those pillows," Maura finished sarcastically, making Jane chuckle as she headed to the bedroom to change.
