Zexion awoke the next morning to Larxene shaking him.

"Hey, wake up kid! Get up now!"

Zexion was shuffling out of bed, struggling to get his cloak on when Larxene pulled out her knives.

"I SAID, now."

They arrived at the hallway where Demyx had been lying. Saix and Xaldin had been sitting near him, afraid to touch his darkened body. In his left hand, was the Lexicon. Larxene was going ballistic about how she was gonna destroy Zexion if Demyx died, as Xigbar tried to calm her down.

"Back off, one-eye!" she screamed as she rose a dagger to the Gunner's neck.

Everyone stopped in place when Zexion got down on one knee and picked up the Lexicon. Demyx screamed the instant the book left his touch, but his eyes didn't open for another few seconds.

"ZEXION!" Demyx's voice was higher-pitched than usual, and he scrambled to a fetal position where he began shivering.

"Demyx..." Zexion carefully chose his words. "How long were you in that world?"

The hallway murmured amongst themselves. "World?" Xaldin had asked, recalling his experience in the meeting room with the Lances. Demyx simply lay down at the thought.

"Most of the night."

Zexion's eyes widened at this. He picked up the Lexicon and began to cast something. Xemnas stopped him with a twilight veil to block the book's words.

"Zexion," he began. "I need to know what happened to him, and what you're about to do."

The boy couldn't explain what had happened, but said simply that he would be erasing a few memories.

The room fell silent and stared at the young Illusionist.

"Well, not so much erasing. Closer to manipulation."

It was Xemnas' eyes that widened at this point. He had an inkling much of the time, but couldn't be sure. In some way, Zexion had an ability to tap into other people's minds. That's why the twilight veil in the meeting room didn't affect his powers. He didn't need to see them, he simply needed to be aware of them, he hypothesised.

"Carry on." Xemnas left the boy to clean up his mess as Larxene stayed behind to check on Demyx. The others had left to whisper amongst themselves.

Ability to alter memories. Xemnas was certain that this type of information could be useful for his own goals. With this, he sought a way to truly accomplish the powers possible with Kingdom Hearts.

Demyx snapped out of his nightmare and stared at Zexion, who questioned him on events that the young man may have seen in his visions. Demyx responded with heavily mixed up answers, and in most cases, lacked one entirely. Zexion was pleased with his manipulation, and warned Demyx that neither he nor anyone should touch the Lexicon. Demyx was leaving when he felt a thought come into his head.

"Hey Zexy, care to elaborate a bit on the part where we're Nobodies?"

Zexion twitched, and turned toward the Aquamancer.

"How much did you see?" He asked with intrepidity.

"Enough to know my real name."

Zexion drew his Lexicon.
