Janet was still in that same dam shield holding cell in the same dam chair she had been there for what she thought was two maybe three days. But the pain she felt made it feel much longer the constant heat and cold on her body cracked and dried her skin. But that did not bother her as much as the dam flashing lights they had only turned off when Lupe as he was now called came into the room to ask her questions and attack her resolve. God he had done things she wished she would forget but knew she would always remember like those weeks in that cell or the sting on her cheek when Hank hit her all those years ago. She yelled as the lights kept flashing her eyes burning they felt as if sand was inside them. She had felt this before it was the same feeling she got when she was hit with the flash from a welder in one of her labs.

Lupe stood in a black room just down the hall behind him was a monitor in front of him was a table with four chairs. In the chairs was Stephen Strange in his usual red cape and blue shirt looking at the man covered in scars and wondering what was going on. Beside him was Rachelle Summers in her red and orange body suit and matching red jacket. Next to Rachelle was Elizabeth Braddock in her purple and black costume wondering why she could not read the man's mind. In the final chair was Maria hill with her arms crossed waiting to see what Lupe had figured out.

Lupe looked at the group before him, "I am not sure how Maria got you all to show up but I am glad you have because we have a situation that only us as a group can solve. We must fix Janet Van Dyne."

Dr. Strange looked at him, "You do know I am no longer a surgeon right?"

Lupe laughed, "If she needed surgery I would have done it myself you are here because we need a sorcerer supreme."

Rachelle spoke up next, "And you need two psychics as well?"

Lupe nodded, "I needed telepaths to be specific and you two are the strongest out there we can trust at this time."

Elizabeth looked to Maria, "Can we trust this guy? I cannot read his mind or yours but I can still sense the hate you have for him."

Maria nodded, "He is the only hope we have of rescuing Wasp."

Rachelle leaned back in her chair, "I am in if it means helping her out but what happened to her."

Lupe sighed and began to explain everything as he went through the story he had to take hits punches even a psychic blade and magic blasts. Once they had finished and the three emotional creatures in the room had calmed down Lupe began to explain the operation they were about to go on. He turned on a screen there was a picture of Janet surrounded by 13 circles and a second picture of her outside it, "This is what Janet's mind is like right now. There is the Janet that you know in the center and the Janet that exists now outside the wall. Both are real Janet's both have the same memories thoughts and love but one is her moral side the side that made her a hero. This other Janet outside the walls has lost that part of her and allowed her to follow the Royals it is the part of her that is warped and bent until this other part popped out. Each ring represents a different level of her consciousness and sub conscious self these are blocked by either a psychic barrier or a magical one. All of them are linked to memories that shaped her and made her who she is we need to go in and free the inner Janet in doing so she should join the other part and fix herself."

Rachelle sighed, "That is a lot of ifs and should work and how do we know they are mental and magic?"

Lupe smiled, "Because of who did this to her and it is the only logical way she has not repaired herself."

Dr strange looked at him, "What do you mean?"

Lupe leaned over the table, "The Janet I know and met is too strong to have been just broken this much by any other member of the Royals."

"So how are we going to take down these walls?" Elizabeth was looking the man over wondering how Maria can allow him to even be here.

"We can't. The best we can do is blast our way through it with force and then have Janet destroy them with our help from the inside out." He tapped the screen then pushed his finger across the walls, "You two girls take care of the mental blocks while me and Dr. Strange take care of magical well mostly Strange."

Dr Strange looked at him, "Okay I will help with this but I am going to need to put totems and markings on Janet as well as place her in a magical circle."

"Already done," Lupe tossed a stack of pictures to Dr. Strange who instantly got up and punched him in the face, "You are still torturing the poor girl!"

Elizabeth and Rachelle both stood up once they saw the images, "You sick freak!" Elizabeth was jumping over the table but before she could she felt a hand grab her and force her into her seat along with Rachelle.

Maria was standing behind them, "He had too! I hate it as much as you do but it is the only way! Now Stephen is everything correct?"

Dr. Strange looked over the pictures and nodded, "I take it the totem is made of elder and hawthorn wood and chared by the flames of burning honey locust and ash wood?"

Lupe nodded, "It is also stuffed with Holly, Ginseng, mushrooms from a warriors stool, wolfberry, demons blood and sealed together with amber."

Dr. Strange looked at him for a second, "If you got that right I am sure you got everything else correct as well"

Lupe looked to the psychics, "Now then once we enter her mind we will be under attack so we will have to move quickly. If you are all ready let's go to the room and get this over with. Oh and Maria have medical team outside waiting for us outside and an operating table set up Dr strange will watch over as I fix anything broken in Janet's body."

Maria looked at him, "I told you not to break anything!"

"You wanted this done in a week I had to rush things if you had given me the time I wanted I would not have had to go to extremes."

"I was not going to give you a month!"

Lupe sighed, "Yes yes now then I shall lead the way." He turned his back to Maria as if not caring what she thought or did and he left the room. Dr strange Rachelle and Elizabeth following him. They would walk down the hall in silence and then enter the room letting the group get a look a Janet for the first time.

Janet looked up at the group, "Help me."

Lupe sighed walking over to his crate in the corner he pulled up a needle and injected it into Janet's neck a second later she smiled, "That is a good girl."

Dr strange looked at him, "What did you give her?"

Lupe smirked, "A mix of tramadol, oxycodone, buprenorphine, and pethidine."

"You gave her opiods do you know how dangerous that is!"

"Yes I do doctor but it is the only way to get her to feel like she did around the choir angel." Lupe got to work turning off the flashing lights and the heater and cooler that he had constantly blowing on her. "Now let's get to this the dose I gave her will only last for several hours."

Dr. Strange looked around the room, "Where are the ruins and magic circle?"

Lupe tossed him a pair of yellow glasses, "In another light spectrum I could not have her seeing them as hope." He picked up a wooden talisman with the body of an alligator, arms of a monkey and head of a elephant. He placed it around Janet's neck as Dr. Strange looked at the room then took off the glasses nodding. "Now girls I want one on her left the other on her right hands on her head we need direct contact."

Rachelle stood on Janet's left putting her hand on her head, "Okay." Elizabeth did the same on Janet's left.

Dr strange began to hover legs crossed he closed his eyes, "I chant thy name and call thy power, I ask and command you to fall from your tower, bring forth the wings of demons and protection of angels. Give me the ears of one who is deaf Give me the sight of one who is blind, give me the voice of one who is mute let me fear no evil as I enter the plain of my mind and flow into another's." He opened his eyes and they began to glow his left eye red his right eye blue and he raised his hands.

Lupe stepped into the circle taking Rachelle's hand then Dr. Strange's Elizabeth took Dr. Strange's other hand. "Take us in and put up a shield around us once we are in." A second later Lupe found himself floating in pitch blackness the only light coming from an orb that Dr. Strange had created. "Okay so tell me what is going on?"

Elizabeth spoke up, "We are under attack by a dark energy it has surrounded us and trying to crush us."

Dr. Strange made a quick ruin in the air, "May the light of the hidden guide us and shine light into the darkness of our minds." He waved his hand and Elizabeth's and Rachelle's head began to glow with blue light, "Okay that should help."

The darkness suddenly began to turn into a mist then vanish leaving them to look out over the city on New York in ruins with a giant castle in the center. "That is where we have to go."

Dr. Strange nodded, "Most of the magic power is coming from there with a few traps out here."

Rachelle nodded, "I will be the spearhead with Dr. Strange, and Elizabeth you push us forward hard and fast."

Lupe smirked as a large riffle appeared in his arms, "I will cover us."

The group looked at him, "How did you?"

"I am borrowing your powers a bit just enough to make myself useful," He turned quickly around and fired his gun a giant wasp exploding, "now let's go before more come."

Elizabeth nodded a second later they were flying through the air towards the castle, "Okay make the spear!"

Dr. Strange drew five runes in the air in the shape of a cross, "in my right hand I hold the spear of Lugh may it pierce the dark spirits and guide us on our way!" The middle rune pushed forward as the other four spread out they all then connected to each other with beams of light creating a spear head that held them inside.

Rachelle closed her eyes and then opened them the bubble vanished as a red light began to spiral up from the tip of the magical spear giving it a mental coating, "I not going to be able to talk much once we hit the walls so just let me know what is happening."

Lupe grinned as he began to open fire at large group of giant wasps that were charging after them. He smirked as he formed a second riffle and began to fire both of them rapidly taking down hundreds of wasps, "ten seconds before we hit the wall when I say one Elizabeth increase the speed as much as you can we will need force."

Elizabeth grumbled a few swears under her breath as she began to speed them up a long tail of purple light behind them, "Don't worry about the speed just keep her guards off us."

Lupe laughed firing the guns spinning around so he did not miss a single one, "Now." As he spoke Elizabeth yelled loudly and they increased speed everything seemed to stop for a second until they hit the wall. Rachelle yelled loudly Lupe looked at her, "Just keep holding it!" Dr. Strange was chanting in a language Lupe could not understand he knew the sorcerer supreme was doing all he could. He turned to look at the grey wall begin to crack then shatter leaving a hole for them to pass through. Almost the instant they were through they hit a second wall this one easier to pass through each wall becoming easier and easier it seemed Janet's mind was focusing on repairing the walls instead of resistance. This was the first and only lucky break Lupe knew they would get until finally they found themselves floating in darkness. "13 walls just as I thought." He took a deep breath as he looked around spotting a small splash of light.

Elizabeth began to propel them towards it, "That has to be Janet!"

Dr. Strange was breathing heavily, "We are lucky they became weaker."

Rachelle blinked as she looked at Janet she had first thought the light was small because they were so far away but as they drew closer the size never changed. She reached out her hand and picked up the small huddled up human shape that was Janet no bigger than 4 inches if she were to stretch out. "Janet wake up we are here to rescue you."

The tiny figure looked up seeing three familiar faces at first and smiling than she began to scream and cry hiding in Rachelle's hands, "No get him away! I can't do it again I can't go back! Please send him away!"

Dr. Strange spoke up instantly, "It is okay Janet he cannot hurt you with us around he is here to help us get you out of here."

"He can't be here to help all I get is pain when he is around!" She screamed loudly as a cage formed around Lupe, "Take him away!" As she spoke yellow hands shot out of the darkness and began to drag him and the cage away into the darkness.

Lupe growled and began to struggle, "Janet do not do this I am the only one who can fix you. I know how you were broken I know how you were built up I can save you!"

Elizabeth was now standing next to Rachelle her hand on the Janet's tiny back, "Trust us Janet he is here to help we will keep him in check."

Janet was crying hard into Rachelle's chest but the hands slowly vanished the cage slowly disappearing as thick metal cuffs wrapped around Lupe's hands, "But he will stay in those."

Lupe smirked a bit he knew this was really nothing in her weakened mental state he could easily break them. Even when she thought she was getting rid of him he was simply letting her they needed her to feel strong for what was to come and that was the easiest way possible, "I think we should go to the first memory."

Janet pulled away from Rachelle and glared at Lupe, "Do not tell me what to do in my mind!"

Dr. Strange sighed, "Janet please stay calm he is the only one who can guide us through this he is the only one who understands what is going on."

"I don't like it!" She turned her back to them, "I hate having him here!"

"Janet just do it we need you back!" Elizabeth was now standing over Janet, "I hated working with some people to but we have to sometimes for the mission."

Janet began to move through the darkness, "I am an Avenger, I know how to work with those I don't like. Just keep him far away from me."

Lupe smiled, "So do you know which memory is first?"

Janet looked forward, "Of course I can feel it calling to me."

Dr. Strange looked at her, "What do you mean calling to you?" They had all began to follow her.

"I guess calling is an odd word more like my mind is letting me know there is something there that shouldn't be."

"I am guessing that is the faint bit of magic I can feel it must be shielded in a powerful memory." Dr. Strange spoke in a language unfamiliar to those around him a second later a small orb began to glow on the back of his hand, "This should guide is to where it is hiding."

Janet smiled, "Alright then when we get there I will leave it up to you to fin..."

Janet suddenly vanished as she did the blackness vanished and the remaining four found themselves standing in a grave yard. A few feet in front of them stood a crowd of people all dressed in black a black coffin held over an open hole. Dr. Strange spoke up, "You all stay here I will handle this one." He slowly walked forward, his hand glowing the closer he got to the front. He could hear sobs and cries coming from the people but each time he looked at them they had no face. He assumed that during this time Janet did not remember much of what had happened at the funeral just focused on the grief. As he neared the front he caught the standing figure of Hank Pym his head down his blonde hair hung low over his blue eyes the man looked odd in a black suit something he could tell the man was not comfortable wearing. Next to him was a crying Janet her face void of make up and any of her usual life. It was just pure sadness even her normally well cared for clothes were in shambles messy and wrinkled. Dr. Strange moved closer and whispered softly to her, "Forgive me."

Janet looked up with red eyes, "what?"

Dr. Strange yelled, "Hold them back!" He lunged forward, "In the name of Mormammu I break the seals and split the earth." His punched the coffin hard as he did the wood slowly began to splinter.

Janet yelled loudly, "Stop him!"

Hank lunged forward but was stopped instantly as Elizabeth placed a glowing purple blade to his throat, "Do not move ant man."

Rachelle grabbed Janet who was screaming and crying hard, "It is okay Janet."

Dr. Strange raised his hand again, "I command you to break!" He slammed his fist into it again a second later the coffin exploded sending shards of wood in all directions. Floating there was a silver coin with three red gems on each side of it. "Simple spells. I release you from the hold of the bloody trinity coin." The coin shattered and then turned into smoke as did the grave yard and the people in it.

Janet's full body had vanished leaving behind a small Janet yet a bit bigger then she was before. Her eyes still filled with tears her throat hurt from her screams, "I hope the others are not this hard on me."

Dr. Strange nodded, "as do we but if this was the first I am sure the others will be just as hard."

Rachelle looked around, "Is it just me or is her mind a few shades brighter?"

Lupe spoke up, "The more we free her the more it will return to normal."

Elizabeth's sword vanished, "Then lead the way Janet."

Janet nodded and began to float through the air, "I think this might be the next one."

Once again Janet vanished as a new memory took shape standing there was a group of heroes not just any heroes but the original avengers. Iron man in a golden armour, Thor in his trademark helmet and long hair, Ant man and the wasp standing with them both in red and black and finally towering over them was the Hulk with purple pants.

Rachelle chuckled a bit, "are they really dressed like that?"

Elizabeth began to chuckle, "I mean look at hulk his head is so square and flat."

Dr. Strange covered his mouth, "I am not sure which armor is more interesting the one with the nose or this golden blunt nosed rocket with a back pack. He looks a robotic child going to his first day at school."

Elizabeth began to laugh hard, "And I can't believe Janet wore red and black I mean what was she thinking."

Rachelle soon joined her, "what about Thor if he breaks out in his ye old speak I am going to lose it."

Ant man spoke up in the crowd "Wait! Before we separate, the Wasp and I have something to say! Each of us has a different power! If we combined forces, we could be almost unbeatable!"

Iron man spoke next "Work as a team? Why not? I'm for it!"

Thor chimed in with a booming voice "There is much good we might do!"

Hulk chuckled a bit, "I'm sick of bein' hunted and hounded! I'd rather be with you than against you! So, whether you like it or not, I'm joining the... the... Hey! What are you callin' yourselves?"

Janet finally spoke up in a clear voice, "That's right! We need a name! It should be something colorful and dramatic, like... the Avengers, or..."

Lupe quickly spoke up in his little group, "I believe this is a mental one so if you girls can focus one of you can find the trigger."

Elizabeth nodded and with a sigh dropped into the group her purple katana appearing in her hands, "I got this one."

Ant man quickly stopped Janet, ""or" nothing! That's it! The Avengers!"

Iron man turned away a bit, "We'll fight together, or separately, if need be!"

Hulk smiled a bit, "I pity the guy who tries to beat us!"

Dr. Strange could no longer hold it in and began to laugh, "Did the hulk just make a Mr. T reference."

Lupe soon joined him, "Did they even have Mr. T back then?"

Thor added his final words "We'll never be beaten! For we are... the Aven..." before he could finish his last few words he fell to the ground his body spliced in two a metal wasp appeared for a second then vanished in purple fire as did the rest of the memory.

Janet stood there her arms crossed as she looked at the group the blackness now had a tinge of yellow to it. Janet was still the same size as before but now had her wings back and she liked that feeling of being mobile again, "Yes I know we all dressed weird back then and yes Thor spoke funny he still does from time to time but you have to remember this was a long time ago." She sighed, "And yes Tony's armour was ridiculous but that was cutting edge even if he looked like a bunch of pipes put together. But we did something we put together a team of heroes that to this day defends this earth this galaxy and this universe." Janet turned her back to them and began to fly towards the next memory, "Now let's go!"

The four stood there for a second before following her and catching up Dr. Strange spoke up, "and we all appreciate what the avengers have done so let's just keep pushing on the next memory feels like a magic sealed one."
