Thank you for reminding me of why I am sick inside. Thank you for the venom, did you think it would paralyze? These scars I scratch, I tear! Are there under my skin, where you've always been!
Thank you for reminding me to sin with a grin!

Just a bit of Shinedown…

And a special thank you to Irisa0816, who extended the prophecy and WANTS ME TO KILL SOMEONE OFF! YOU'RE GIVING ME IDEAS! :D

It was Crystal's turn to keep an eye on Alvie. Not that she didn't mind, but she really wanted him to wake up. The incident in the shopping mall had been two days ago and he was still yet to wake up. They had stuff ready for him when he did though- a writing book with pens and pencils in case he had another prophecy or a drawing; ambrosia and nectar; a bowl of water with a clean cloth to treat bloody eyes and a few of his reading books, obviously.

Chiron, Rachel and most of the medics from the Apollo cabin had checked Alvie over and were still comparing notes. Was it linked to the prophecy?

Four legacies will embark on a quest

Love and friendship be put to the test

Through storms and sun the four must trudge

To find the one who holds a grudge

Crystal ran through it in her head. Legacies could be anyone from the Jackson or Valdez families, the children. Which four though? She had originally thought Alvie was one of them, but with him KO'd like this, would he wake up in time for it or not?

Love and friendship- well, Tobias loved his family to bits and always put them before himself. Friendship- pretty obvious as well. Jacksons and the Valdez lot pretty much went hand in hand- except for the spite between Elsie and Max.

Storms and sun- Poseidon and Apollo. Could one of the legacies be a grandchild of Apollo?

Find the one who holds a grudge- according to Leo, pretty much every monster, Titan and god that he and the rest of the demigods had ticked off- "Just 'cos they can't handle the sheer awesome of Leo Valdez, Bad Boy Supreme! Oh, and you lot as well…"

Alvie sighed and rolled onto his side. Crystal sat up straighter. This was his first movement in two days. She tilted her head to the side, studying his peaceful expression. Unlike his father and his older brothers, from what she had heard, he didn't drool in his sleep. He talked instead, which was much more annoying at three o'clock in the morning during a sleepover- most of the time, he didn't even talk in English. (Following bit is from Irisa0816- thanks again!)

Alvie started muttering. It took Crystal a few seconds to figure out what she was saying and she got a sudden feeling to write it down. He would pause for a few seconds before saying it all over again, as if his subconscious was making sure she wrote it down:

Death and darkness in an endless maze

To stop the dead one in a deadly haze

The one who dies will not be found

And their voice echoes with empty sound

She studied it for a few seconds, before jotting down her own ideas about the first prophecy below. Then she shouted for somebody- anybody- to 'check this out!'

Percy appeared first, worry etched in his features. Rachel and Nico were behind him.

"What?" Crystal handed the writing book to Percy. "Did you write this?"

"Yeah, but Alvie said it."

"He's asleep." Rachel pointed out.

"He talks more in his sleep than he does when he's awake." Chiron wheeled himself in.

"Why were you shouting?" He asked. Percy passed the writing book to his mentor, pale. Nico had read over his shoulder and was chewing his lip, studying his cousin worriedly. "What is this at the bottom?"

"It's what I could get from the first prophecy." Crystal mumbled. She glanced at her boyfriend, who was sleeping peacefully without a worry or care in the world. That would change if- no, when he woke up.

"Rachel, what do you think?" Rachel scanned through this new prophecy.

"It's not one I've done before, but it's linked to the other one, I'm sure of it."

"How?" Crystal asked. "How is it linked?" Rachel hesitated.

"I'll get back to you on that. Percy?" Rachel moved forward and put a hand on Percy's shoulder. He jerked away.

"I… I gotta… I gotta think…" And he left. Crystal glanced at Nico, who was staring after Percy. Looking at Rachel, Crystal saw that Rachel was debating with herself.

"Leave him." Chiron advised. "When he has his thoughts together, he will come back."

Percy did come back half an hour later. He smelt strongly of the sea, more than usual, but he was perfectly dry. It was clear he hadn't really got his thoughts together; having only returned through worry for his son. He didn't talk to anybody, elbows on his knees and head in his hands.

Alvie was still asleep, but thankfully, he hadn't produced any more prophecies. Rachel had returned to her cave to 'consult the Oracle'/herself and had promised to come back when she had something that could be of some use.

Chiron wheeled himself in, followed by Nico.

"I have messaged Annabeth, Percy." Percy didn't respond, but Chiron kept on talking. "She, Louisa, Leo and the children are on their way over." Still, the centaur didn't get a reply. He studied Percy sadly for a few seconds, before sighing. "Keep an eye on him for me." He said to Nico, who nodded dutifully. Chiron left.

Crystal looked from her father to Percy. He hadn't moved, hadn't noticed anything.

It was Annabeth, an hour later, who managed to pull him from his reverie.

"Come on, Seaweed Brain. We need to talk." She spoke softly, reassuringly, holding Percy's hands and pulling him to his feet. They walked out, leaving Tobias, Max, Elsie and Alokia in charge of their younger siblings and cousins. Nico seemed happy about that- babysitting wasn't really his thing.

"Alvie, wakey wakey." Callum had somehow pulled himself up onto Alvie's bed, sitting astride his stomach. Callum prodded Alvie in the chest. "Why you no wakey?"

"Callum…" Tobias made his way forward, stepping over siblings and cousins. He made to pick Callum up, but Callum squirmed away, clinging to Alvie and lying down stubbornly on his chest. Callum was Alvie's complete opposite, but for some reason, Callum idolised Alvie. Then again, Alvie was the only one who could get Callum to sit calmly and play nicely with Theo and Lilly for more than five minutes. "Callum, what's the matter?"

"Why he no wakey?!" He wailed. He hid his face in Alvie's shoulder, curling his small hands in Alvie's T-shirt.

"He will wake up, Callum."

"When?" Callum demanded, his voice muffled. Tobias hesitated and Callum sobbed. This was unlike Callum. He was rarely emotional, except for bursts of anger or frustration. Never full-out crying because he was genuinely upset.

Alvie muttered something and shifted his arm around Callum. The toddler looked up, half-hopeful, half-confused, but Alvie was still sleeping. His hid his face again, but not before Crystal had seen the look of despair. She got up and carefully tucked her hands under Callum's arms.

"Callum?" She said softly. He fought against her, clinging to Alvie. "Callum, I have a job for you."

"No!"

"It'll help Alvie wake up." Callum looked round at that.

"What job?"

"Come on, I'll show you." The older kids were looking at her curiously. Elsie was sending a mild glare in her direction- if Crystal was making this up, there would be trouble. Crystal knew better than to get on the wrong side of Elsie.

Callum reluctantly let go of Alvie and nestled in Crystal's arms.

"Where we go?" Callum asked, wiping his face clumsily with his small, pudgy hands.

"You'll see." Crystal replied kindly, carrying him out of the room.

"What we do?"

"Well, I think Alvie needs a bit of a jump start to wake him up." Callum looked at her, confused. "We're going to shock him."

"Shock?"

"Yes."

"With what?"

"Something sharp and powerful."

"Like what?" Callum asked as she started down the stairs.

"Guess."

"Um…" He fell silent, thinking hard. By the time he spoke again, she was halfway to her destination. "I don't know. But it work?"

"I think so."

"Alvie wake up?" Crystal nodded, showing more confidence than she actually felt.

"Why do you like Alvie so much? He's a bookworm and you're a little nightmare sometimes."

"He calm." Callum replied. "Nice brother. Understand."

"Yeah?" Callum nodded. "Understand what?" He held his small hands up and frowned in concentration. A prism of solid ice materialised in his hand. "Oh wow…" Crystal breathed. "How long have you been able to do that?"

"Not long. Alvie help me."

"What about the others?" He looked confused again. "Your daddy, Tobias and Max- do they know?" Callum shook his head. "Why not?"

"Don't wanna tell them." He shrugged. "Alvie good. No tell. And help me get better. I surprise Mammy and Daddy." He smiled.

"I think that'll be a nice surprise." She knocked on the door to the Poseidon cabin loudly. She didn't get a response and suspected nobody was in.

"Why are we here?" He asked as she walked in.

"You know I said we need something sharp and powerful to wake Alvie up?" He nodded. Crystal glanced around the cabin, her eyes falling on her target. "Do you reckon that's sharp and powerful enough?" Callum's eyes widened.

"Daddy said I get one when I older."

"Really?" He nodded. "They are cool." Crystal smiled, balancing him on her hip and grabbing hold of a trident propped up against the wall. There were two, one for each Poseidon twin. They were exactly the same.

"That one Aunty Lou's."

"How can you- oh, right." Crystal spotted an 'L.V' carved into the hilt, just below the prongs. "Does it matter?" Callum shrugged. "I'll take Percy's one instead." She put the trident back and closed her hand around the other one. She studied the prongs carefully, aware that Callum was watching her. "Sharp enough for you?" She asked, smirking. Callum looked at the trident too.

"Yes. We wake Alvie up now?"

"We're going to try."

Crystal's going to stab Alvie with a trident to wake him up. Does that sound good?
