((Time for a bit of fun))

Tony Stark stood in Janet's office he wore a dark blue suit with a silver tie and a light blue shirt. He was looking at the wall checking out each of Janet's new fashion designs as well as some of the pictures for plans of her company's upcoming technology releases. "Some of this is really good."

Janet came flying in through the door of her balcony, "Are you trying to steal some of my companies designs Mr. Stark." Janet grew in size landing beside him she was in her costume and had a smile on her face.

"Of course not Janet...just tell the guys making that new heavy lifting frame it would run better with a full assisted computer controlled interface then a basic analog one and they could remove some struts if they went with hard wheels."

Janet hugged tony then shook her head, "Yes they could but this is not for the uses you are thinking it is an all terrain one that can be massed produced at a fraction of the cost of others on the market. This means we can sell it for less and people in the developing world's can get access to it to help build and hall materials to their rural locations. But I will let the girls know of your ideas for upgrades maybe they can get a good laugh at them. Look behind those plans." Janet winked and sat down in her desk as she did Pete flew into the office and landed on her shoulder.

Tony lifted up the paper then dropped his head, "Okay I will not stick my nose into your companies work again."

"I take it that model is more to your liking."

"Yeah I mean the power they put in that frame is incredible I bet it manoeuvres good to."

"It can move in any direction and extend to reach to about 120 feet with over 90 tons and still maneuver as if it was empty. A bit more sluggish but that is just because the operator slows down a bit scared of the weight."

Tony sighed, "Okay enough showing off I finished what you asked but I am not sure why you wanted this I mean he is a pigeon."

"Yes he is a pigeon but he is my pigeon and he wants to be a hero...don't you Pete." The pigeon cooed as it was also given a carrot to peck at.

Tony nodded, "Okay I sent you an email that will explain everything."

Janet nodded, "3d model I hope."

"That is what you asked for."

Janet turned on her desk quickly minimizing windows then pulling up her email opening a letter titled Mark P. As soon as it she did a 3d image appeared in front of her, "Wow...just wow." Floating there was a metal pigeon wings spread out with an arc reactor in the chest the pigeon had gold across the chest that went in a line up to the top of its gold beak. The front edges of the wings were also gold as were the tips of the talons the rest was all red and minimal seam lines. "tell me about it?"

Tony smiled, "When you asked for this I laughed but then I thought about it and decided it would be an interesting challenge." He tapped the 3d pigeon and the armour melted away into the pigeon leaving only the arc reactor glowing. "If you recall my extremis armor was able to hide in the hollows of my bones so I took that technology and applied to Pete his bones already being almost completely hollow made it much easier so he will always have it on him ready to be used to help others or protect himself."

Janet nodded, "He will need surgery won't he?"

"Yes and I have lined up the best people to do it if you like the ideas." He tapped the pigeon so the armor reappeared on him, "Next we will talk about propulsion he uses three repulsor in each wing to fly forward at mach 2 if he tucks his wings in all that power is pushed two repulsor ports in the back and he can reach speeds of mach 5 with feet tucked in as well. The repulsors in the wings will also move in a way that he can hover now with the enhanced strength in the legs and claws he can lift a ton straight up in the air."

Janet smiled stroking Pete as he attacked the carrot, "Okay sounds good now for defense and offense?"

Tony grinned, "He has a repulsar force field that will create a bubble around him in under a hundredth of a second. As for attacks his strength and speed are the major features but he also has a repulsar beam he can shoot out of his mouth and has 50 mini missles each with the same power as a round you would put into a tanks cannon. They are all self guided once they find a target they follow it until either it impacts it or Pete shuts it off."

Janet nodded, "The lets do this." She stood up, "I take it this is all set up in my animal lab?"

A month passed since the surgery and now Pete stood on the balcony of Janet's office until he got an alert the arc reactor in his chest beeping slightly. He turned around on the bar and cooed to Janet before he fell backwards diving straight towards the ground. He cooed a certain little song and a second later his body began to become coated in a flowing red and gold liquid wrapping around him. The liquid soon took the shape of his armor shining in the sun light he tilted his head a bit getting use to it then suddenly opened his wings the three small repulsars flashed two life and pete pulled up only three inches from the earth. He weaved between rolling through the lanes when he needed to dodge the backs of the slow moving vehicles. He had perfect control of this armour. Inside the armor was a red screen with the words Pigeon Armour Control Technology or pact for short. It was the AI tony created to assist Pete with all armor functions. A voice spoke up it was robotic but had a hint of female to it almost if Janet was speaking, "Good morning Iron Pigeon." Pete cooed a greeting the armor then spoke up again, "You are needed at the corner 38th street and 48th avenue in queens it seems a group of aim scientist has held up inside a warehouse with several hostages including two wounded police officers. According to reports they are armed with some kind of weapon that rips apart fabric and body armor leaving the victim exposed to a follow up blast of tiny metal robots that eat flesh." Pete cooed a bit as he pulled up, "I have alerted the officers on scene to your arrival and they will hold the perimeter for you." Pete was flying just over the roofs of the buildings then he cooed tucking his wings in his legs lifting to his chest. Two large repulsar jets shot out from his sides as Pete aimed right for a window smashing through it. An echo blast left his suit as he opened his wings on the screen in Pete's armor was a map of the building. He scanned it quickly using his sensors to pin point the heart beats of the AIM scientists and that one was coming up the stairs and down the hall towards him. Pete flew sideways through the doorway of the room from his beak fired three blue beams out striking the Aim scientist in the chest and sending him down to the ground. Passed out in his yellow biohazard suit Pete hovering in the air he opened his beak and a steady blue beam shot out at the large metal tube with two pistol grips on it making it explode. Pact spoke up, "From the data I gathered that is the weapon they are using against the officers I will need more data on it to determine how it works." Pete cooed and began to fly down the hall as he turned to go down a set of stairs he was hit with green beam that pulsed rapidly.

At the base of the stairs was an AIM scientist holding one of the tubes this time however the end facing Pete had opened to reveal a green glowing coil, "Is that a pigeon!"

Pact spoke up, "It seems to be using a form of light energy mixed with sonic blast to weaken the bonds of fabric molecules. If you had been wearing anything it would have faded and worn out as if left outside in the sun for 100 years. And here come the flesh eating microbots no wait they are simply acid spewing micro robots that use the melted flesh to create new acid inside them. The coating on your armor will make their acid act as if it is nothing so there is no need to worry. I am counting 5 more scientists in the building a single missile to each gun will end this."

Pete cooed instantly targeting the opening of the gun he lowered his head a panel lifting up from his back firing a single missile out. The missile traveled rapidly hitting the inside of the gun causing it to explode sending the aim agent through the wall that was behind him. In the new opening Pete saw three AIM scientist with their weapons pointed at the hostages he quickly target the weapons three missiles launching out from his back blowing up the guns sending the aim agents into the air and knocking them out when they hit the walls. Pete cooed loudly through a speaker in his armor.

The group of hostages looked up at him before Pact took over speaking, "That was Iron pigeon for get behind me and hide upstairs until the officers come for you."

A little girl and boy in the group nodded, "okay misses bird!" The group began to run as Pete cooed loudly to Pact.

"That was pigeon for I am a boy my translator is a woman." Pact then spoke to Pete privately, "What did you expect when my voice comes out of the armor of course they are going to think you are a girl."

The boy stopped, "Okay thank you mister pigeon."

Pete nodded then quickly formed his force field blocking the green beam that shot out towards the boy. Pete then flew forward rapidly right into the weapon the AIM scientist held destroying it and then striking the Scientist in the chest and driving him into the ground. Once Pete had the agent down he quickly fired off a missile so it flew right at the last AIM scientist's weapon destroying it and knocking out the scientist. Pete cooed softly turning around expecting to get praise from the crowd instead he heard Pact's voice, "Pete you are needed at 51st west apparently the living laser is back and is chasing down a motorcade that has two ambassadors as well as the head of the fresh water agenda and the head of a pipe line company. They are supposedly on the way to sign a huge deal that will provide clean drinking water to third world nations. It is also a huge contract for the pipe line company that would give them the funds to become one of the largest companies in the world over night." Pete cooed and Pact responded, "Yep It is a corporate driven assassination. You are needed to stop him before they are taken out."

Pete cooed once and took off out another window and right up into the air realizing that a hero did not do this for the praise he did it for the people. He tucked his wings and legs in turning himself into a bullet arcing in the air following the trajectory Pact had placed on the screen in his helmet. He hit the top of the arc in minute and began the decent catching the sight of explosions and smoke rising up from the street between the buildings. He cooed twice and Pact adjusted the trajectory slightly making Pete come in well before the explosions. He focused on the dive then at the last second opened his wings and flew right against the pavement sparks flying of tips of his talons. Pete knew he would have only one chance to surprise the living laser and strike with his speed before it came a battle of strategy. He watched the sky closely pulling up hard at just the right moment increasing his speed to maximum and striking the Living Laser right in the stomach and forcing him up into the air.

The Living Laser yelled looking at what was hitting him before he changed the density of the light particles in his body letting Pete blast through him. He turns around and fires a beam of Purple energy up at Pete who quickly rolls to dodge it. The Laser finally alters his light waves to make his new form. He kept the purple color liking how it made him stand out among the other villains even more. He had gotten rid of the earlier shape of his head no longer did it look like Ironman's helmet he hated it being so close to that arrogant egotistical playboys body now he had chosen one of his own. He had taken his face once again no longer wishing to hide who he once was for now all that existed was the Living Laser. He had chosen to put the cape back on this one made of light and fading from dark purple to white. His body was no longer a pale white with purple veins it was solid purple accent by lines of white and a white spiky line across the chest. He hovered in mid air, "Okay Stark enough with the toys come out and face me."

Pete cooed and turned around diving at the living laser opening his beak he fired a repulsar beam at The Living Laser who just let it pass through him. The Laser aimed his hands at Pete and fired a powerful beam of purple light at him. Pact spoke up, "Your armour is not equipped to deflect this kind of attack I suggest you use your shield and roll." Pete cooed as he had already deployed his repulsar field and was rolling away the beam deflecting off the field pact speaking up, "You must get away Pete this attack is draining your power supplies rapidly." Pete cooed back as if to say he knew and then dropped straight down so the beam shot over him and he targeted the Laser with his missiles. Pact spoke again, "That will not work Pete." Pete cooed and began to fire away unleashing 7 at the laser all with different angles and speed.

The Laser laughed and his body became intangible again the missiles flying through him and hitting the buildings around them. "Okay so you are not Stark he would never had done that you must really be a bird." The Laser charged forward and slammed into Pete becoming solid just in time to hit Pete and send him flying back through a large window.

Pete skidded across the floor hitting the desks and cubicles in the room before he got up and shot forward. Pete charged right at the Laser as fast as he could the laser simply let him pass through and slam into another building across the street. Pete cooed as he turned around and charged at the Laser who just stood there waiting for Pete to simply pass through him again. Except this time it was different the laser found himself being hit and pushed backward the Laser looked down to find Pete imbedded in his stomach and forcing him to move.

"Wait you're a pigeon." He rolled away from Pete and looked at the bird wondering how he was hit, "You won't do that again."

Pete cooed and flew forward again right at the Laser who fired beams of light at him Pete dodging them before striking the Laser once more and sending him back slamming into the reflective window of the skyscraper.

The Living Laser shouted as he charged forward his body vanishing for a second only to appear behind Pete and hit him hard over the back with two fist and sending the bird to the ground, "How are you hitting me!"

Pete hit the ground hard if not for his armor he would have died that second but he simply slowly rose to his feet shaking his head. He guessed it was time to show The Living Laser how he was beating him. Pete flew forward then went straight up the side of the skyscraper his claws grabbing a piece of metal that held a window in place and carried the entire sheet of reflective glass behind him. Pete did a quick flip just below the Living Laser making the glass arc and strikes the Living Laser in the back.

The Living Laser had gone intangible but it would not help him the reflective surface would strike him as if he was a solid person. The Laser felt himself flying towards the reflective window of the building next to him bouncing hard off it to the ground and melting the asphalt that the rode was made of.

Pete cooed loudly looking down at the crater he was in only a moment ago and the piece of broken reflective window he had clutched in his talon. He had tested if this would have worked if he would be able to hit and move the Living Laser even when he was not in a solid form. He then quickly fired twelve of his missiles and dove towards the Living Laser the same sheet still in his talons as if it was nothing. He angled the glass beneath him making a plow and slammed it into the Living Laser sending him up into the air. Pete then began to fire small weak repulsar blasts off into the air. Each blast would hit a reflective glass panel that his missiles had knocked loose. The repulsar blast moved the panels through the air one striking the Laser and sending him bouncing off it into another and another until he was traveling between all the panels in a continuous loop yelling as he was unable to stop himself. Pete watched as the panels hit the ground shattering and sending the light particles that made up the Living Laser off in a thousand directions. Pete knew it would take him days to rebuild himself if not weeks so his job was done for now.

Pact spoke up, "You are free to return to home now Pete I am not picking up any disturbances you are needed at."

Pete Cooed and took off flying down the street then flying up above the buildings looking down then quickly stopping he flew down towards the roof of an office building landing between two female pigeons. The females cooed a bit but Pete simply let his armor disappear back into his bones leaving only a tiny arc reactor visible on his chest. He spread out his wings wrapping them around the females cooing to them as they began to nuzzle him and cooing back. He slowly began to walk with them across the roof to what looked like a cardboard box.

"Okay Pete I have your food." Brianna walked into Janet's office as Pete was asleep on small platform in his cage. She smiled and put the tray of food in the cage as she did Pete woke up and cooed excitedly only to stop a second later as he realized it was not Janet. Brianna sighed, "I know I miss her too that is why I gave you a bit extra today and I am sure she will be home soon." She looked at Pete, "But at least we are getting along better now." She opened a bottle of water and filled his water dish, "How about I take you to the park and you can hang out with squirrel girl's squirrels?" Pete cooed a bit he would be happy for the distraction and it was always fun with them. Brianna began to pet Pete as he ate, "And when we get back I will get your special bath set up." Pete cooed a bit louder as he began to eat a carrot shaking his head a bit as he did. The food always tasted off to him when Janet wasn't around but he would still enjoy it after all he needed to stay strong so he could go flying with Janet when she got back.
