Janet focused the tips of her fingers towards the metal door taking a deep breath she fired her stingers at the hinge. It slowly melted together until it became fused shut. She did this to the other two on the door and then fused the metal door to its metal frame before she flew down between the flights of stairs to the group waiting for her. She landed gently on her toes as she took full size once again. She looked to Lupe, "Okay we need layout and plan of attack."

Lupe nodded, "okay here is the plan seeing as how lockdown has not started we will force it too by blowing the gas tanks. This will cause the guards to scramble and secure the building with the 4 inch blast doors across the glass front as well as 2 inch steel doors that will slam down on the exits. The windows get 2 inch thick covers as well as 1 inch thick bars in square pattern. Interior doors will be locked down and needed to be blasted. The entire system is run off independent generators and batteries located 20 feet under the building. The first floor has an open floor plan in the front is a concrete and glass block desk with three separate stations. In the west leg is a gym in the east is a set of low level labs and a supply room. The east wing continues all the way to the fourth floor like that a second set of stairs and an exit is in the south east corner." He looked at all the girls until each nodded, "in the west leg floor 2, 3, and four have five offices as you go up you are in a higher ranked Royals area."

"Okay we get it what is our plan of attack?" Aoife was getting a bit nervous it seemed like this place will be filled with Royals.

"He is not done explaining yet." Vasuki had been leaning against a wall he knew this layout just as well as Lupe.

"Each floor has a balcony system that leaves the ground floor in view from the edges basically you can look straight up to the floor of the fifth floor. It is the only floor without a balcony hallway. That is because it is a solid floor that has a 14 inch steel plate between the fourth and fifth floors. No way to shoot up and damage it you can take down all the walls and that floor will still be standing as a fifth floor. Three quarters of the top floor is the throne room and the leg section is the security room as well as armory." He looked at Janet, "Now for who will be in here this is both a military base and science facility so we will have one king and one ajaw. The Ajaw will be the easy take down except for his four Diyan body guard squad the king will be harder because unlike the Ajaw he is trained to fight along with his four body guards. The Emperor will have two sets of body guards that will not leave his side and he will take to north east leg of the building. He will hide their behind 20inch steel and concrete blast doors our entry to that room will be given to us by Ajaw and King both are needed alive to grant access. As for the rest of the guards we will have no lower than Ard ri especially because the Emperor is here they will have switched shifts to make sure he is always safe." Lupe smirked, "Now for the plan of attack Vasuki Lyrica and Aoife are on cover fire for the first floor. Once we blow the gas tanks and the security gate falls behind us we move out Janet Sayuki and I take the lead entering first taking down whoever is in the room at this point the Royals will be set up on positions on each floor aiming down at the first floor. We sealed the south west staircase to keep them from coming down it so we can keep this a battle on two fronts instead of three. The cover team will follow us out and provide upwards cover giving the front squad time to set up in the west Janet and Sayuki will then provide cover for the cover squad who will join us while I watch the stairs. Vasuki on his way over will blow the stair case just in case they break the sealed doors. We will then need to make our way up four floors sealing the doors as we go once we hit the fourth floor we will need to make our way to the office nearest the stair case in the south west. The long charge gives us a now one way push through as we seal the last door. Once inside the office we open the hidden wall to hidden staircase to the fifth floor once there it is an all out fight with the toughest enemies we have."

Janet nodded, "Okay sounds do able, Aoife Lupe and me are one squad once we hit the stairs. That means Lyrica Sayuki and Vasuki are all one squad as well you two keep close to him if something goes wrong he is your way out."

Lyrica nodded grabbin Aoife and Vasuki all of them getting together ready for their secondary entrance, "We are good to go."

Janet shrunk down and flew in between Sayuki and Lupe, "I will go in first Sayuki you come in right after me Lupe take up the rear and hit those you can." She looked at Vasuki, "Okay blow it."

Vasuki nodded reaching into a pocket her pulled out a metal tube he twisted the base, "I also left a few on the fence line where we came in I think it might add to the reaction of being attacked."

Janet smirked, "good thinking I you deserve more credit than Lupe give you now blow them all."

Vasuki pressed the top a second later they heard three small blasts followed by a loud boom, "It is done." He began to place small explosives on the stairs as he heard the blast door fall down behind him.

Janet nodded to Sayuki who pushed open the door Janet flying out and firing her stingers into the chest of the three people behind the desk. It was her first look at this place and like all their other bases it was decorated fully. From the ceiling hung large crystal cylinders accent with gold the floor was marble so were all the pillars the railings were glass and gold with marble posts. She hated how beautiful she found these places and the split second of awe she always felt.

Sayuki fired three acidic bullets at the guards by the now blocked main entrance then took cover by the desk firing her shots at the royals coming out of the gym. All the Royals had the same mask angry looking mask that was blue only on the right half. They all wore the same two button black suit and shoes.

Lupe ran out drawing two needles from his pouches and tossing them right into the door knob of one of the labs across the hall. His needles broke the knobs causing them to freeze up as if he had welded them shut. He needles were specially made for him by shield they were a titanium graphene and carbon composite that made it strong in every way he required and would conduct heat so well it would not melt. He tucked in beside Sayuki, "Get them to close the door."

Sayuki nodded and began to fire at the door rapidly until the people had to close it to take cover, "Okay now."

Lupe threw the needles into the locks stopping the people from opening he turned to see Janet hovering behind a pillar as she was taking fire from the floors above, "Cover squad go!" As he spoke he heard some of the shots become directed at his location.

Lyrica stepped out of door way her shields unfolding from her arms she held them up at a slight angle as soon as she was out she taking fire, "I need a screen!"

Vasuki stepped out right behind her his chest puffed out he quickly let his black cover gas out creating a blanket of smoke above them. "You're good to go."

Lyrica nodded tapping her the sides of her glasses as she blew a quick burst of air from her nasal passages a second later she had the outline of the royals above the cloud of smoke, "Move now!" She began to fire blast after blast of sound through the smoke it could be seen moving through the smoke before it vanished at the edge of the smoke and knocked a royal onto his back. She had to move every few seconds so they could not get a god shot on her behind her Vasuki was firing off small blasts of blue smoke.

Vasuki was firing off a heavier then air smoke one that would hit its target and when they breathed it in would fill part of their lungs pushing out the oxygen and causing them to suffocate to the point of dizziness confusion then passing out.

Aoife was moving quickly from cover to cover in a ranged fight she was next to useless so she came up with a plan on her own. She began to make noise lots of it drawing fire towards her, "Vasuki do it we are all out!"

Vasuki nodded and pushed the button on his remote an explosion was heard behind the doors as the first few flights of stairs blew apart and fell in on themselves. He released more cover smoke, "Okay go!"

Lupe and Sayuki took off from behind the desk Sayuki tapped the side of her glasses a link was created between her and Lyrica so she could now see the outlines of the people. She began to fire at the people on the west side balconies she would take cover behind a pillar and continued her attack, "In position."

Lupe was at the door to the east stairs his shoulder on it, "in position."

Janet flew quickly to the center of the room, "Now go!" She flew straight up bursting through the smoke she began to spin firing her stingers at the Royals. She would weave in and out of the beams from their guns some missing her by just a hair but she kept going up. This was how she would cover the others and let Sayuki recover some of her blood.

Lyrica watched Janet fly up and smiled running across the floor to the door Vasuki close to her Aoife sprinting beside them. "We are ready to enter stair case."

Janet smiled as she arched her back over a beam and dove down, "Okay Lyrica enter first shields up give us a safe shelter. Sayuki, Lupe and Vasuki enter next tell me how many we have coming down the stairs. Aoife hold the door for me once I am inside Lyrica, Sayuki and Vasuki will take point as their squad and work our way up. Aoife, lupe and I will guard our back and seal the doors as we go up. "There was a resounding yes on the comm. as she dove down towards the floor slipping between the purple beams until she was under the cover of the smoke. She flew a few feet above the earth seeing Aoife holding the door she flew in Aoife closing the door Janet could hear shots being fired, "How many above us right now?"

Lyrica spoke up holding her shields of bone up, "12, three are on the second floor landing the rest spread up the stairs waiting to take shots."

Janet began to melt the hinges, "Okay then we will push our way up Vasuki use the high heat gas you got I want them sweating above us!"

Vasuki smirked opening his mouth and blowing green smoke from his mouth it would slowly begin to vanish a few feet away from him not much could be seen, "As you wish."

Janet finished up her welding of the three hinges and looked to Sayuki, "suppressive fire over the shield low pressure arc it over I know you can't see them this is just to try and get them moving."

Lyrica began to push up the steps feeling the force of the shots directed at her shield, "Vasuki put your back to mine I need some support."

Vasuki quickly moved behind Lyrica and braced himself, "Just tell me what you need." He braced himself behind her he cloud feel the power of the shots even with Lyrica as his buffer, "Say when you step so I can brace more and angle your shields so you make a wedge should deflect more of the force."

Lyrica nodded she grunted, "Step!" She angled her arms a bit it narrowed the width of the cover but it made absorbing the hits easier.

Sayuki was waiting, "Tell me when to fire Lyrica."

Lyrica groaned, "Step!" She pushed herself up, "We are taking corner number one to first level give me cover fire now!"

Sayuki bent her arms and held them over the railing firing up at different pressures and angles to get the men up there to back off, "Go!"

Lyrica nodded moving with the shield pointed at the open side of the stair well Vasuki at her back the two moved to the stairs and began to fight their way up once they had enough space Sayuki joined them firing up and over Lyrica and Vasuki at the three royals on the second floor landing. Vasuki released some more of his smoke wondering what Janet had planned but simply kept to his orders. Lyrica took a deep breath, "Hard push slam me into them Sayuki you better take out who I miss."

Sayuki nodded, "You got it."

Vasuki turned around putting his hands on Lyrica's back, "I will also cover you."

Lyrica smiled a bit then hid it, "Okay push!" She surged forward Vasuki pushing in time with her her shields slamming into one royal knocking him hard into the wall and out. Vasuki spun quickly drawing a knife which he slammed into one royal's throat then pulling it quickly out. Sayuki fired several shots into a royal causing him to fly back and then scream as acid ate its way to her flesh. She then quickly kicked her in the head as she dropped to her knees to knock her out.

Aoife sprinted up the stairs only touching two of the steps she would slam her shoulder into the door to keep it shut, "Keep moving."

Lyrica nodded position herself to take more shots she let off a quick high frequency blast her glasses quickly giving her a new layout. "This is going to get tougher they are now stationed on the steps as well we have one each landing"

Vasuki braced her a bit more, "Then we are going to have to go hard Sayuki put your back to mine and when we move you come to firing at anybody who comes in your sight we have to move fast."

Sayuki nodded putting her back to Vasuki's it was much larger and broader then she expected and found herself pushing harder on it. "Okay lets go."

Lyrica nodded, "six steps to next landing let's go!" Lyrica pushed hard forward hitting the first guy and pushing him back and onto his back she simply stepped around him using Vasuki as support so she could keep going. Vasuki was holding her up pushing her forward he would quickly throw out a knife to hit the guy on the landing when he came into sight. Sayuki fired her acid bullets at the man on the higher stairs then up at the man on the landing taking them both out. Sayuki's back was pressing hard into Vasuki using him as a brace so her shots were more accurate. The three quickly pushed up with Sayuki clearing most of the way able to shoot up at an awkward angle and either take the person out or knock them back long enough for Lyrica and Vasuki to hit them.

Aoife bolted up the steps behind the group she would slam her shoulder into the door and hold it until Lupe was there to hold it while Janet welded the hinges shut. The timing had to be perfect if the waited too long on one door the next one could have been opened behind Lyrica and that was dangerous. Aoife noticed that as they went up the steps it began to get hotter, "Why do you have Vasuki warming up the place?"

"Because it is making them tired and wearing them out their aim is also off because their hands are slippery." Janet finished welding the hinges, "Next one!" She flew up quickly making it to the next door she began to weld the hinges Lupe would push Aoife to the side and braced the door.

Aoife sighed and ran up to the next door catching it just as Sayuki passed by it, "Hurry up Janet we are falling behind."

Janet nodded as she finished the final hinge, "Okay!"

Lupe pushed in two needles into the door handle and the two of them took off to the next door, "You think that will hold them?"

"Long enough for us to get out of here," She began to weld the hinges closed as Lupe took over holding the door for Aoife.

Lyrica put her feet on the landing of the fourth floor and looked down, "All clear on the ste..." It was then that the bottom door exploded open, "correction ground floor is now open!"

Janet growled a bit, "Vasuki drop a few bombs down there see if you can keep them off our ass!"

Vasuki reached into his pouch, "I have six left we need three to get to the stairs to the fifth floor."

Janet looked at Lupe, "how many would you need to bring these stairs down?"

Lupe looked over his shoulder, "Four!"

"You have two...Aoife hold this door shut Vasuki give Lupe two bombs to place then blast your entire explosive gas down their make it so thick we can't see through it!"

Aoife took over the door as Lupe was handed the explosives Lupe shaking his head, "This won't go how you want it."

"Just do it!"

Lupe put his needles through the two bombs and through them down into the walls, "Fine then." He went back to help Lyrica hold the door.

Janet spoke up again, "Sayuki rapid fire cover us and try to weaken any railings."

Sayuki began to fire rapidly from the top landing holding the Royals to the second floor, "You got it!"

Janet finished welding the door hinges and flew up, "Now release it all and get up here Lyrica shields up protect us all. Vasuki only blow it when you are behind the shield."

Vasuki opened his mouth and began to release a fowl smelling orange smoke from his mouth he was mixing it with his heavier then air gas wanting to make it go as far as he could. He kept pushing out the smoke he always found it painful to use two smokes at once it sort of felt like he was burning from the inside out as his body is drained of oxygen. He focused pushing all the smoke and air from his lungs before he fell backwards unable to move his hand slowly going to the pouch with the remote in it. "But preferring death with honor to life with religious defilement, he proceeded voluntarily to the torture instrument."

"No you don't!" Janet flew down to him growing in size, "This will not be how you end your life, after all that you did!" She reached down and began to pick him up as she did Lupe was on the other side.

Lupe smiled, "She is right you are still needed." They both began to carry him up the stairs. They tossed Vasuki against the wall of the top landing as Lyrica got in front of them Sayuki Aoife and Janet quickly braced her.

Vasuki took a deep breath as he pressed the button, "He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants."

There was a low thud followed by a burst of flame hitting lyrica's shields and being deflected over them a split second later there was an immense pressure followed by the sound of the stairs falling down. The sound of metal and cement colliding rang through the stair well yet their platform and the one below them still hung to the walls. Janet turned to the door tapping Sayuki on the shoulder and pulling her towards it Janet opened it quickly the smoke and dust rushing out through the door Sayuki fired her acid bullets and then ran through the door running to her right and drawing fire as she hid behind a pillar.

Janet spoke softly to Lyrica, "Get us to the lab hallway then you can rest."

Lyrica nodded her arms soar she could feel the edges of her bone shields were burnt and falling apart. "I am going to have to use that time fixing them."

Janet nodded, "Aoife will help you." She turned to Lupe carry Vasuki and stay behind Lyrica as best you can." She shrunk down and flew out of the smoke and began to fire her stingers towards the group of Royals standing across the balcony system from them, "Go, go, go!"

Lyrica forced herself up and out of the smoke her bone shields open she could feel her legs and arms giving in they had already taken so much force even before the explosion she wondered to herself how captain America could do this with one arm. She her right leg give in and stumbled a bit only to be caught by Aoife who held her up.

"I got you," Aoife took most of the weight off of Lyrica's legs walking with her quickly she could hear the shots hitting the shield and watched as pieces flew off it, "Just a few more feet."

Lupe had Vasuki across his shoulders and began to carry him behind Lyrica's shields once they were in the hallway between labs he put Vasuki down then quickly used his needles to seal the doors, "I am going to even the odds a bit." He jumped out and through several needles at the lights on their side before jumping back then throwing needles at the royals who tried to get close.

Aoife looked down at Lyrica who had her back against a wall she had not rolled her shields up letting Aoife get a look at them. They had lost a good inch across the top with another half inch of burnt bone. There were dark burnt spots across it some soft enough Aoife could just press on them to make them crack more. The outer edge was missing a half inch with another half inch or so burnt around the edge three quarters of the way down a large chunk was taken out and had an inch of charred bone around it cracks ran through them the bottom edge was just burnt with the lower corners missing. "You know what I have to do."

Lyrica nodded and reached to her waits hooking a thread on it she pulled it out slowly, "I know just do it quick." Lyrica had pulled out a diamond saw the thickness of about three threads of string. "Vasuki belt please."

Vasuki took off his belt and handed it to Lyrica, "What are you going to do?"

Lyrica took a deep breath, "We are breaking off the damaged bone so it can heal and I can fight."

"You mean you are going to break your shields more? How will that help?"

Lyrica closed her eyes, "We found out by mistake during training that they can regenerate quickly if broken cleanly. Almost like Wolverine can but a bit slower and only them but if they are charred or damaged with something that weakens them to much it takes a few hours instead of minutes to fix. This also hurts a lot." She put the belt between her teeth and bit down, "Fast."

Aoife nodded focusing her mind for a second the Lonsdaleite on her right arm began to turn to liquid and move over her fist forming a point on it. She reached down with her left hand and gripped the shields, "On three...one." Aoife began to punch rapidly shards of bone flying into the air as she chipped away just below the burnt line Lyrica screaming and crying the entire time to weak and tired to pull away.

Lyrica just took the punches to her shields glad there were next to know pain receptors in her shields yet it still hurt. She thought long ago it was just mental and she could get over it if she tried but it still hurt every dam time they did this.

Aoife stopped for a few seconds then punched the shields a few more times she placed her left on Lyrica's cheek, "Okay all that is left is the cracks I am counting three on each shield I need to do." She picked up the diamond thread, "I will be quick." She wrapped the non diamond coated ends around her hands and put a knee against the shields to hold them still.

Lyrica closed her eyes tightly then felt it felt the diamond slowly cutting through the bone well not slowly Aoife was fast at this she could even smell it burning a bit. The smell making her gag on the belt but what was even worse was the sound. That sound of something cutting through her body taking a piece of her body and all she could do is cry. The force of Aoife on her shields keeping her from squirming pulling away from the pain all she could do was bit down on the belt and listen and smell.

Aifoe soon stopped dropping the diamond wire down to the ground, "Okay Lyrica it is all done."

Lyrica spat the belt from her mouth her teeth marks firmly pressed into the leather, "Good now we just wait."

Aoife shook her head, "You two wait recover I am going to attack."

Lyrica looked up for a second seeing just how much of her shields was really gone and she cried there was almost nothing left of them. "Fine do whatever you want leave me!"

"We will grab you once you are recovered so just rest." Aoife ran down the hall it was time to put her new skill to work. She learned this months ago when wolverine came to her gym looking to let off steam he showed her how to climb. She let the Lonsdaleite on her hands change shape again forming two longer thinner points at the end and a bar would form in her fist to give her something to grip onto. She began to punch at the brick wall after several punches she could see the light of day bursting through and she smiled quickly working the wall as if it was he heavy bag. Until finally it broke out full giving her a nice opening to fit through the Lonsdaleite on her shins became liquid again and began to take shape two long thin points formed at her toes and a bar formed under the arch of her foot. She stuck her body half out and punched into the side of the building with one hand then kicked into it with the other. "Okay three points of contact and I can do this." She punched her left fist into the wall and stepped off the floor before kicking her left leg into it then she slowly began to slowly crawl across the wall. "This is so much easier then that dam mountain."

Vasuki moved himself a bit closer to Lyrica, "So it is just us now."

Lyrica grumbled a bit, "Not like I wanted to be left with you."

Vasuki chuckled a bit, "Yes I know I am man you all hate with a passion for setting you all on this course of destruction and change." He was taking soft slow breaths as he spoke gently, "Yes I will admit the reason I set up that church group was to find candidates for the royals Anax group but it also helped a lot of people too."

"So what I should just say it is okay you are forgiven just because others were helped when I was put through hell and tortured by your friend."

Vasuki let out a long breath he had filled the air with a gas he normally used in confessionals it was a gas that would relax an individual make them more open and trusting of him. It was a good gas to have it had got him out of trouble before when police came by the church looking for a child he had sent to Royals. "I never knew he would torture you or harm you I never thought you would meet him."

"Well you should think about what you do." She looked at her bone shields they were dripping white liquid out of damaged parts but they were slowly looking more and more like her shields before. "How many others did you send to the royals?"

"In total 26 if you want I can list of their names and powers I never forget those I help."

"You did not help us you turned us from scared people who are looked at as freaks to people who fought and killed for your cause."

"Yes but they made you strong able to withstand what was to come and live your life to the fullest of your potential."

"No that was Janet she taught us to be proud of our powers taught us to show who we were to the world and fight for something greater. She gave us the chance to be more your people just made us part of a machine that would toss us away." Lyrica looked at him right in the holes that were once his eyes, "And just so you know my nasal area vibrates at a speed that breaks down that gas you have been letting out so you can stop using it."

Vasuki sighed, "I was just trying to help you relax."

"Well don't I need to stay in this state so I don't get killed." She heard a loud crash then the shots that were hitting the wall began to slow down, "Sounds like Aoife made it over there. Oh and while I have you alone," She kissed him roughly then punched him in the balls, "Fuck you!"

Janet flew into the hallway to see Vasuki rolling on the ground and she smiled, "Let's go it is all clear now."

Lyrica stood up looking over her shields seeing that they were fully healed she grinned, "alright I am ready."

Vasuki slowly got up and began to walk towards Lupe who was chuckling a bit, "Me too."

Janet whispered to Lyrica, "I am going to have to remember that next time a guy I like pisses me off."

Lyrica chuckled, "What can I say I have a weakness for muscles but I still hate him."

Janet flew away Aoife was standing at the door of the office which took them to the hidden staircase to the fifth floor. "So what do we have?"

Lupe quickly caught up, "It is not your standard door it is two inches of steel clasped in wood veneer when they lock it 8 one inch bars slide out into sockets on the frame going 5 inches into it. The frame is part of the 6 inch thick steel walls this is the hard door after this it is easy."

'So we blow it?" Sayuki liked when they blew things up.

"Nope we need them for the next one and I can't see any weaknesses on this one." Lupe was studying the door closely.

"Hot and cold then?" Janet flew back a bit.

"That might work." Lupe stepped back.

Aoife looked at Janet, "Explain please."

"We are going to heat up the door with my stingers and anything else we can find to pump heat into the door once it is red Vasuki and will hit it with his freezing gas. You girls will also hit it with the co2 fire extinguishers. This should cool it fast enough to weaken the structure of the metal to a point where Aoife can hit it and basically tear it apart." Janet looked over at the labs and storage room, "Sayuki, Lyrica and Vasuki go see what you can find to make flames."

After five minutes they all gathered back infront of the door with a few tanks of flammable gas hooked up to hoses along with a tank of oxygen and a nozzle, "We got you a flame thrower." Lyrica stood proudly beside it they also had four fire extinguishers.

Janet nodded, "This is perfect Lyrica Aoife you are on fire extinguishers. Sayuki start hitting it with acid once I say stop get an extinguisher. Lupe you are on the flame thrower."

Sayuki began to fire her acid bullets all over the door, "Got it Janet."

Janet waited a few seconds, "Okay now!" She began to fire her stingers at the door as she did Lupe turned the flame thrower on and began to heat up the door with Janet. "When it is red on the edges and white in the center blast it." It would take them several minutes before the door were Janet wanted it, "Now."

Vasuki took a deep breath and blew out a dark blue smoke at the same time the girls began to spray the door down with the fire extinguishers. The metal in the door could be heard creaking even snapping a bit as it was not cooled down in any uniform way.

Lupe waited for the smoke to clear seeing know many black dots he walked to an office grabbed a marker and came back putting X's on different spots on the door, "Hit these spots as precise as you can."

Aoife nodded her Lonsdaleite forming around her hands taking a boxing glove shape she smiled getting into her peek a boo stance the boots on her feet changing the tread and she began to punch the door. Her punches were quick mostly jabs to start as she warmed up her muscles a bit more then she began to fire quick straights cracks were forming in the metal with each hit a few shards even fell off of it. Soon she was in full swing with hooks and crosses mixed in as if she was hitting a heavy bag. The with a powerful yell she hit the center most X and the door bent in a bit before her fist went through it. She pulled back quickly and then went after the now really weakened door until it was bent wide open. Aoife stepped to the side and with her hand made the motion of a door opening, "Welcome to the Royal hotel enjoy your stay."

Janet shook her head hiding a chuckle as she flew into the office it was pretty simple a wood desk with a black leather chair a fake wall of windows and a few sets of book cases, "Okay Lupe where is the entrance?"

Lupe walked over to the desk and dragged it to the center of the room, "Right above us Aoife could you knock down all this drywall and expose the entrance."

They all walked out of the room Janet landed on Sayuki's shoulder then looked back at Vasuki, "Now!" she saw him press the button and then the explosives went off followed by a loud thud as the metal staircase came slamming down.
