Ginny smiled at her friends, glancing up at her now husband's grinning face. He glanced down at her at the same time, catching her joy and feeding it back into his own. He couldn't help but lean down and capture her lips in a soft kiss to which she happily responded. The low whistles and catcalls from the other couples on the dais brought them out of it and they grinned at each other before turning their beaming smiles to their friends.

"Sure mate, let's go eat!" Draco tucked his new wife's hand into the crook of his elbow and started for the doors of the great hall. Ginny gathered the skirt of her gown into her free hand in a move she had been practicing for weeks before hand and glided elegantly next to her husband.

Greg and Millicent, both of them aware that they are not the most attractive or graceful of the gathered royals, looked at each other then proceeded to lock arms and stroll after Prince and Consort. Millicent's gown flowing around her leant her grace that was not usually hers to have beside her Greg cut a sharp figure in his heather grey tux. They presented a solidly reassuring couple that formed a strong protective presence behind the rulers of their house.

Pansy, with Damien beside her, watched her best guy friend and his new wife pass through the doors of the great hall and had to wipe a tear of pure joy from her cheek. Damien tugged her into the curve of his arm and placed a tender kiss to the side of her head. Pansy leaned her head onto his shoulder for a moment and then laced her fingers with his and tugged him after her friends.

Blaise had a faraway expression in his eyes when Alex glanced up to see why he was stalling. She tugged on his hand to make him look down at her, smiling when his eyes focused in on her face. She watched as his silver eyes melted into a heat as he tugged her into the curve of his body, his hands locked with hers behind her back. The runes on their chests started to glow slightly as she leaned up to meet his kiss. The heat from his body slowly seeped into hers, and they were lost to the moment. All either could think of was each other and would have stayed wrapped in the moment of their own creation, had the doors to the great hall not banged open at that moment and an irate mother of the bride come storming in with her husband hot on her heels.

"Molly! It's done and over with! Just be bloody happy for her!" Arthur Weasley yelled, his hands running through his already wild red hair. Neither he nor his wife noticed the two on the dais has stopped their affectionate embrace and were watching in a horrid fascination as the two went at it with words over their youngest child's impromptu marriage.

Blaise still held Alex wrapped in his arms, fear of the warring couple noticing them locking his arms. Alex buried her head in his chest and prayed that somebody would come save them from the extreme awkwardness that was their current situation. Another bang announced a new player in this extremely odd spectacle, and Blaise was relieve to see the oldest Weasly child enter the great hall. Bill had an extremely peeved look on his face.

"MUM!" He bellowed, breaking through Molly's long tirade and causing her to stare at him in shock. "Look, mum, I know you don't really like Draco…"

"I more than dislike him William! He is a snake and he is going to end up destroying her and her good name!" Molly shouted back, furious.

"Mum, unless you have suddenly developed the ability to see into the future with absolute clarity, you cannot know that for sure! Right now, she loves him and he loves her and all you are doing is driving a wedge into this family! You didn't approve of Fluer either and look at how well you two get along now! I'm not saying you have to love him instantly and you don't have to make him a family jumper, but you have got to support your daughter and my sister! I will not have my sister and her new husband afraid to come over for holidays! Plus, if you do not stop this childishness you will not have any chance of seeing any children that happen as a result of this marriage, nor mine!" Bill took a deep breath and made a visible effort to control himself. "Mum, you know we all love you. We know you want what is best for us and for this family. You need to understand that the heart wants what the heart wants and nothing you say is going to change that. Now, are you going to grow up and be a member of this family? Or should I go make your excuses and have Dad take you home?"

Molly took a deep breath and turned away from her husband and son. Her deep chocolate eyes, so like Ginny's own, locked with Alex's green eyes. Alex froze and tried not to look away as the older woman searched her gaze. Alex tried to send a reassuring message to the mother of her friend, a message that tried to convey the love that Draco held for Ginny was not a fleeting thing and would last for as long as the tides moved under the moon.

Molly's eyes softened and she turned back to her husband and son with a small smile, "No Bill, that won't be needed. Now, Arthur, I believe our daughter and her husband should be about ready to start the couples waltz. We wouldn't want to miss that!"

She linked her arms with each of the males and led them all back the way they had come earlier.

Blaise slowly relaxed his hold on Alex and let her lead him down the stairs. His large hand guided hers to the crook of his arm as they started back down the aisle that the other couples had passed earlier. Blaise was attempting to wipe the confrontation from his mind, puzzled over why anyone would be unhappy about their daughter marrying into one of the noblest houses in all of the WW. He thought about asking Alex, but a glance at her face told him not to.

Instead he attempted to lighten the mood by dropping a kiss to the top of her head and jokingly asking if she remembered the steps to the couples dance they were about to have to perform. Alex nodded her head vaguely, still pondering over the fierce protectiveness of a mother for her daughter. Her own mother died the same night she lost the majority of her family, and she had been very young. She felt Blaise squeeze her hand and mustered up a smile for him.

They breezed out of the main hall and out onto the green towards the large tent set up. They entered the tent and made it to their places just as the music started up for the traditional couples dance. A soft melody came up from the center of the dance floor and then Alex's voice floated over the assembled guests, even though the girl herself was held in the graceful sweep of Blaise's arms. The crowd looked stunned for a moment, before a pleasant clapping surrounded the four couples on the dance floor.

Ginny and Draco started in the middle of the three other couples, held suspended in stillness while the three others waltzed around them in a circle. After they had made a complete circle, the outside ring froze in whatever hold they had been in when the music made an upswing. On the next chord, Draco led Ginny into a waltz as gracefully as if they walked on air. They danced in the circle of their friends and guardians, freezing when the second verse of the song ended in the middle of the floor once again.

When the third and final chorus started, all four couples began to waltz around each other in complicated patterns that trailed glittering sparkles into patterns that rose above their heads to provide a glittering roof above their dancing. The crowd ooh'd as the couples spun around each other as the tempo of the song swelled into the finale and all of the couples spun into a final hold, the women bent over the arms of their men. They held that pose for a moment, letting the song drift off softly into the previous background music.

Draco bent his head to land a kiss on his wife's lips, what was meant to be a brief peck turning into a passionate lip lock that only broke up when the applause registered in Draco's mind. He straightened up and brought Ginny to a standing position beside him. She smiled beatifically around at her friends and family, allowing her husband to lead her to their seats at the head table. They sat down as the house elves started to bring food around to their guests, each one of them beaming from ear to ear.

Ginny thought that this would be a day that would be hard to beat, surpassed only by the possible birth of her children. She turned to look at her husband to see him already staring at her. She leaned over to plant a kiss on his lips before starting in on her food.
