so being able to speak some french, im kind of disappointed in myself for not realizing the masculine and feminine for brun (brown). Brunet for males, brunette for females, thus, I will start using the proper terms from now on o:
FUCKING MAD BECAUSE I HAD 2K GONE THANKS TO SOMETHING STUPID.
The morning was rather dark and dreary, the sky being hidden by tufts of large, grey, puffy clouds. The sun's bright, radiant glow did not shine through the thick bunches, thus leaving the whole city of Shiganshina dark, but not dark enough to the point where they had to light the lights outside.
The Jaeger household was slowly stirring awake, with Levi being the first one to wake up, for he had to get ready for his photo shoot. Opening his eyes, his silver iris' gleaming in the dim light barely shining through the curtains. He was extremely warm, and it made it rather uncomfortable, feeling sweat build up in his body. He found the brunet haired male beside him, his breathing soft, his thin eyelashes shut, a light blush dusting across his cheeks. He was probably feeling the heat, too, or so Levi figured. Trying to twist around, the smell of pomegranates greeting his senses as soon as he felt his elbow lightly tap at something behind him. Ah, yes, Carla was here too, along with Mikasa. Levi's eyes trailed around the dark room in search for a clock. There was an electronic clock directly beside Eren, which read 8:51 in the morning. The clock on the opposite side of the room merely told history, and was there for decoration.
Slowly, Levi tugged Eren's arms away from his torso, unwrapping them with little force, and setting his own body free. Untangling Eren's and his intertwined legs, he tried to sit up without anybody noticing the sudden shift. He failed at doing so, because Mikasa had let out a sharp 'hey'. Turning his head to face the woman, he ran his fingers through his disheveled hair, silver eyes glaring into lethargic, grey ones.
"What?" He grunted in a small whisper, not wanting to wake up Eren or his mother. Levi felt Eren shift slightly beside him, his slight movement being shortly followed by a loud, annoyed whining noise. Levi quickly turned around, facing the tan skinned male who still remained asleep for now. The raven haired male ran his fingers through the thick strands of brown hair, comforting the male.
Eren let out a content hum, smiling as he opened his eyes, "Good morning, Levi," he sleepily began, his voice up a few notches. Once Levi's hand brushed down onto his face, Eren lifted his own hand up, keeping the hand cupped on this cheek, a soft smile on his face. "Come here," Eren smoothly began, his sea-green eyes fluttering shut, "I want to cuddle."
Levi, being unable to refuse such a cute request from Eren, couldn't help but smirk and let his body fall back down. "Your sister is awake," Levi replied as he wrapped his arms around Eren's waist, pushing himself closer to Eren, "did you know?"
"Yeah," Eren replied with a little sniffle, "I heard her, I just thought I was dreaming." His lips fell agape for a moment as he tried to find the right words to form a proper sentence, his mind still rather hazy. Before Levi could try to steal a kiss from him, Eren lifted a hand up, blocking the smooch, "She's our sister, by the way," Eren corrected Levi with a haughty tone.
Levi snickered at this and pulled Eren's hand away, "Yeah, yeah, we're family and shit now right?" He responded with a rather annoyed undertone before leaning in and capturing Eren's lips in a sweet, chaste kiss.
"Ew," Mikasa groaned upon seeing the two kiss, "it's so early in the morning, and this already? Come on, guys, there are two other people in the room!" The charcoal haired female complained, not wanting to put up with so much romance, especially when she didn't have a lover of her own to love and kiss with.
"You best be glad mommy's not awake," Eren giggled as soon as Levi pulled away, closing his eyes once Levi continued to shower him with kisses. "You really like kissing, don't you?" Eren chuckled as Levi leaned closer and began to kiss his neck, his soft lips brushing against Eren's slightly rough skin. Eren almost let out a small moan from the contact, liking the feeling of being kissed by Levi.
"I only love to kiss you," Levi admitted without a hint of shyness, his tone visibly flirty, his silver eyes gleaming with deviousness, "and your ass."
"Why," Mikasa cried as she shivered and jumped in her spot, waking her mother up accidentally, "must you mention these things when I'm here.."
"Goodness gracious, children," Carla yawned, her golden eyes unveiling themselves, "already loud early in the morning!" She frowned, narrowing her eyes from side to side unhappily, "I was having a nice dream, you know?" Her slight glare softened, a smile slowly forming on her face, "it was about Levi and Eren being married!" She gleefully clapped, "Eren was wearing a dress!"
"W-What!?" Eren barked immediately, almost shooting upwards, although Levi's arms had him secured into place, "Me!?" He shrieked in embarrassment, his face slowly turning red, his sea-green eyes wide with slight shock at his mothers words, "You dreamed about me wearing a wedding dress?" Eren whined, "Why couldn't it be Levi? I'm a man, mom!" He wailed, earning a light, harmless slap from Levi.
"Hey," Levi scowled, glaring at Levi, "are you saying that I'm not a man?" His silver eyes seemed to test Eren, boring holes into the deep, sea-green which he always caught himself swimming in when he stared into Eren's iris' for too long.
"No," Eren began in a small, whimper-like voice, "it's just that-!" Eren was cut off by Carla.
"Well," Carla smiled warmly, sitting up and backing up to the cushioned headboards so that Mikasa could see, "after last nights.. turn of events," she giggled at her own wording, "I've decided that you should be the bottom, dear."
"Mom!" Eren whined, sending her a disheartened look, his eyebrows curling upwards as he pouted slightly, "That's not fair! I've topped him!"
"Oh yeah," Mikasa nodded furiously as she finished up her sentence, her grey eyes gleaming murderously as she fixed her position so that she was sitting up and facing them, "we know."
"We heard," Carla gave Eren a certain look, which caused Eren to scowl slightly, "but you're better being at the bottom."
"But my.. screams are so loud and clear!" Eren defended his position as to be top, whilst Levi chuckled at him, rubbing at Eren's leg as Eren sat up, causing him to blush lightly, "I-I mean.. isn't it bothersome?"
"But of course, my dear!" Carla mused, her golden eyes glittering with deviousness, "However, I'd rather hear you say vulgar things, than listen to this.. strong," she urged at Levi with both hands out, "muscular, male singer. Plus, you'll wear his voice out!" Carla crossed her arms in triumph with Mikasa seemingly as her side kick, copying her moves before reaching out to something on the side table next to he bed. Mikasa reached out and opened a pair of black sunglasses decorated with pink designs on the sides, placing it on the bridge of Carla's nose.
"What are you doing?" Carla slightly panicked, feeling something fall on her nose, but after she realized that she could still see, she laughed, "Mikasa!"
"Oh yeah," Mikasa grinned, "this is the Jaeger mom."
Levi chuckled while Eren smiled and shook his head. The brunet gasped in realization as he repeated Mikasa's words, "The Jaeger bomb! The Jaeger mom!" He grinned, clapping at his own idea.
"The Jaeger womb?" Carla rose both eyebrows, mishearing Eren's words.
"No, mom!" Eren shouted in disgust, cringing his nose, "I said bomb, not the womb- mom- too soon!"
"What?" Carla looked around, confused, "What do you mean, too soon? Is this one of your baddest languages again?"
"Oh god," Levi sighed, "here we go again, miss quicker than a fast, or was it faster than a quick?"
"Works either way, honestly," Mikasa nodded, "but mom, really, it's badass, and not baddest."
"Oh! Of course!" Carla giggled, "I knew that! You're mothers just old, boys and girl!"
"Mom," Eren slowly began, "if you tell me that I can't top Levi again, I will make sure to do him on this very bed." He announced boldly, his green eyes glowing mischievously as he smirked jokingly at his mother.
"Eren!" Carla gasped, looking taken aback by her son's announcement, "-You!" Quickly looking to her side, she found the unoccupied, soft pillow Mikasa once laid on and threw it at Eren's face, "Get out of my room, boy!" Even though her words were meant to threaten Eren, it was filled with laughter and silliness. When Eren only chuckled and didn't move, Mikasa took her mother's hard, feather-filled pillow and lifted it up with all the strength she could chalk up at the moment, slapping Eren with it. Upon impact, Eren let out a pained groan, falling off the bed and landing on the floor. Levi, who had his arms wrapped around Eren's waist, was also pulled down to the direction Eren had fallen in, barely on the bed.
Eren let out a sharp cry as Mikasa and Carla laughed at them, his hands and head feeling the pain which had surged throughout his body. Levi hung on the side of the bed, his face on Eren's lower back as he continued to hug the male tightly. Levi let out an annoyed noise as he suddenly let go of Eren, letting the brunet fall to the floor and tumble head first before rolling back into a sitting position. Levi pulled himself up, scratching his head as he scowled at Eren.
"Damn, we're already at the 'stupid couple' routine, huh?" Levi snickered, lifting a pale hand up to cup the bump on his forehead.
Eren laughed, "I guess so."
After an hour of just getting up and out of bed, the children, and lone mother, trampled their way downstairs. Carla Jaeger looked rather sick today, her skin a shade paler than the healthy shade it was yesterday, her eyes looking a bit droopy even though she had gotten enough sleep. Levi, being the kind gentleman he was, asked her if something was wrong. Carla shook it off and smiled at Levi, telling him that all was well, although she knew very well that she had a horrible migraine which was already taking a toll on her performance so early in the morning. She didn't cook, instead, she had Eren do it. Eren had built up a simple, morning meal. Eggs with bacon, and toast. Juice and coffee was poured for the family, the two cups of juice being for Eren and Mikasa, who hadn't quite liked the bitter taste of coffee. The other cups were filled with Cafe Vanille's unique blend of coffee, something which Levi, after taking one sip, had taken a liking to.
"Hey," Levi began, his eyes slightly wide with shock, "what kind of coffee blend is this, and where did you get it from? It tastes.. heavenly." His silver eyes traveled around the room, searching for the answers he needed within the other occupant's own.
Carla and Mikasa only smiled, eating their food with wide smiles as Levi continued to eye them suspiciously.
"It's from the cafe I worked at," Eren smoothly replied, taking a gulp of his mango juice, "the blend is our specialty, one of the many blends which made, and labeled that cafe, five stars," Eren grinned triumphantly, his sea-green eyes glowing with satisfaction at the look on Levi's face. "So, Levi," Eren's grin slowly morphed into a devious smirk, "what was that again?"
"About what?" Levi timidly queried, his eyes narrowing into slits at Eren, who seemed to take a bit too much pride when it came to being a worker in the burned down cafe. Hanji had told Levi that she was interviewed several of times as to why that cafe had burned down, along with several other things.
"About how crappy the cafe was?" Eren playfully leaned down on the table, pressing a hand onto his cheek to support his head's weight. His lips had curled into an all too knowing smile, his green eyes taunting Levi to lie in front of his face. Eren had lifted a hand up, swinging his index fingers in circles on the top rim of the cup he had poured juice into, tracing the circles over, and over again in a pattern which Levi found hypnotizing.
Levi cleared his throat as he stopped looking at Eren, feeling slightly embarrassed at his current position. "Well, certainly, the food I ate there was horrible, a complete mirror opposite to this certain blend of coffee," he replied, feeling satisfied at his own words. He eyed Eren's every movement, his eyes never leaving the male's body, who sat across from him.
Eren smiled and chuckled, "It's probably because you don't have a sweet tooth," Eren calmly began, feeling slightly irritated and bothered by Levi's answer. He was expecting Levi to give him what he wanted, a lie to make him feel better, yet here Levi was, telling him that he hated the food they made at the cafe. It hurt him slightly, honestly, because sometimes, he would be the one to make to cater Marco and Hanji in the kitchen. When Marco, or Hanji, or both were away, he and Christa would kick in and do the work for them.
"No, Eren," Levi sighed, feeling a little tap within him as he shut his eyes, "I just didn't like that cake in general."
Eren's shoulders slumped in defeat for a moment, his eyes trailing downwards to the egg in front of him. He seemed mesmerized by the yellow yolk in the field of pure white fluff. Taking a fork, he jabbed the center of the egg, watching the yolk spill from inside, "You know, Levi," Eren slowly began, a frown on his face, his eyes soft, "I made the recipe for that cake..."
The raven haired male paused for a moment, contemplating Eren's words as he ignored the women whispering amongst themselves beside him and Eren. He wiped his mouth using a napkin, closing his eyes, not wanting his 'star image' to get ruined in front of the Jaeger women, who were large fans of his, "Eren," Levi began, his eyes reopening, the silver bullets which had become familiar to Eren over time staring into the deep, ocean-like green which seemed to haunt Levi, "I know I'm your.. boyfriend," the word 'boyfriend' seemed completely alien to his tongue, although he has said it many times before, "and I know that you are both a great chef, and baker, as far as I know, but," Levi leaned closer to the table, "that doesn't particularly mean that I have to enjoy all the food you make-."
"I know," Eren cut Levi off, sending his statement straight to the finish line in a hurried fashion, "it's just that.." Eren trailed off, his cheeks slightly turning red as he looked away, "I just.. want you.. to appreciate me more, because we're going to get married within a year or months, or something like that," Eren's hands began to feel slightly clammy, "so I want you be.. I don't know, happy with me for who I am?" Eren shrugged, his eyes training themselves back on Levi, widening slightly when Levi covered his mouth. "Hey!" Eren panicked, shooting up of his seat, looking rather worried, "Are you okay-?" Levi beat him to it.
Levi let out a loud, genuine laugh, throwing his head back from the force of laughter. All Jaeger family members froze, looking at Levi in shock. Once Levi was done having his moment, a silver of happiness and amusement shot past his eyes as he smiled at Eren, "Unbelievably adorable," he confessed, looking at the boyishly charming male in front of him. He found warmth spreading throughout his body at Eren's sweet words, "Really, what more can I ask for in this beautiful life of mine?"
"Whoa!" Eren pretended to fall back into his chair, a bright, red blush sporting his cheeks as he shyly met eyes with Levi, who stared at him in a rather fond fashion, "Who are you, and what did you do to Levi?"
"What did you do to Levi?" The said male said with a flirtatious smirk.
Mikasa choked on her bacon and laughed at Levi, pointing at the male childishly, "He referred to himself in third person! He just did that!"
Carla, noticing this, tried to laugh, but couldn't, because when she tried, her migraine would take over her senses and shoot feelings of pain through her nerves. The female coughed a few times, feeling dizzy. She smiled faintly at the group, her eyes shut as she feigned happiness. Once Mikasa's laughter died down, she reopened her eyes. She was surprised to see frowns surrounding her, from Mikasa, Eren and Levi. They looked rather worried for her health.
"Mom," Mikasa began, her tone no longer carefree, her eyebrows curled upwards as she brushes pieces of her charcoal hair into place, worry as clear as day in her voice, "you should go back upstairs. Me and Eren will do the cleaning today, because if I remember correctly, Levi has a photo shoot to be at," she quickly shifter her head towards Levi to make sure she was right. Levi nodded back at her, and with that, she turned her head back to Carla.
Carla shook her head, placing a hand on her head as she leaned down on the table, a weary smile on her face, "It's fine, kids," she laughed halfheartedly, ignoring the shots of pain she received from her brain, "I am your mother, am I not? So, it's my duty, to listen," the brunette stood up, using her arms as leverage to pull her body up, "to clean, to play with, shield, and fight for you children."
Mikasa and Eren stood up immediately, their eyes narrowed in a rather dangerous fashion, as if being provoked. They both stared at their mother intensely, eying each other for a brief moment.
"And I am your daughter," Mikasa began, crossing her arms as she ambled over to where Eren sat, waiting for Eren to continue on for her. She let Eren pull Levi up with them, tugging the raven haired male to where the charcoal haired female was.
"And we are your sons," Eren clenched his fists, glaring at his mother with furrowed eyebrows, "and if what you said just now was true," Eren's eyes were burning into Carla's, persuading with sheer force, "then you should listen to what we have to say."
"We," Levi rolled his head for a moment, "as your children, want you to rest off for today. You aren't well, and don't even bother making up a silly excuse, or lie, because it would be as convincing as a dirty french fry on the floor," he paused for a moment, thinking about how stupid he had sounded, "besides, if your a mother, and you have duties, as your children, and both as men and a woman, we have duties, too."
Carla froze up for a moment, eying her children carefully. They had grown from small, sweet little children, so cute, so innocent, and so loving, into strong warriors who fought for what was right, and wrong. Tearing up slightly at the mental image of Mikasa, Armin, Levi, and Eren playing in the snow when they were younger, she nodded reluctantly, "I really must be a good mother!" Carla laughed and boasted, placing her hands on her hips and digging her nails into her skin whenever she felt the pain surge through her, "Because I really taught you guys well! To fight for what you all think is right, I mean, look at you all," Carla laughed, wiping tears away from her eyes, "fighting against your own mother! Who do you think you all are?" In instinct, she ran to her children with wide arms, pulling them into a large, group embrace. "I remember the day where Eren was sent home for beating up a bunch of bullies going against a little girl during elementary school, I remember the day Mikasa came home like a hero after saving someone from a fire when she was in high school, I remember the day Armin came to our home bruised up and battered because he took the hits from bullies in order to save someone else, and I remember the day Levi came knocking at this home's door, with Eren passed out in his arms," Carla cried and sobbed, sniffling every now and then as she continued, "and the best part of it all was that you all came home with idiotically wide grins, no tears shed. At that moment, I realized how well your father and I have raised all of you, and I realized that I may have just raised the children who had the strongest of potentials, and when combined, can cause chaos in this world."
Mikasa laughed, feeling herself tear up at the sight of her snot-faced mother, "I don't know whether to laugh at you, or cry, so I'll do both!" With that, Mikasa let out a loud laugh, followed by her choked sobs.
Eren wiped a few tears from his eyes, a confident smile on his face as he patted his mother on her back, "Yeah, mom! Thanks to you, we might just change the world!"
"A bit too dramatic there, Eren," Levi snickered with a half-smile written on his face, earning himself a nudge.
"God, damn it!" Eren shrieked as he ripped himself away from the group, "Breakfast is ruined, I was hoping for a day with zero casualties!"
"Shut up, Eren!" Carla wheezed as she sent a heavy slap to Eren's back, causing the male to shriek and jump away from her in fright. Carla smiled at her children and began to head upstairs with Mikasa behind her to make sure that she wouldn't do anything behind their backs. "Clean the table, put the dishes in the dishwasher, let it run- but don't forget to put in the detergent-!" Carla hollered as she was pushed upstairs by the strong arms of her daughter.
"Yeah, yeah," Mikasa rolled her eyes, "we know, mom, so relax!" Mikasa grinned as she pushed her mom into the master bedroom, closing the door shortly after.
Looking at the shut door, Carla let out a relieved sigh.
Her children have grown up, or so it seemed.
"Hurry up, clean, clean, clean!" Levi urged Mikasa and Eren, wanting to move onto another task after cleaning the windows. Eren let out an annoyed sigh, slumping his shoulders as he dropped the cloth he was using to clean the windows, feeling slightly tired and lazy.
"Hey, brat!" Levi called out to Eren, immediately noticing how he was slacking off, "I see you! Get back to work, you lazy ass!" To emphasize the word 'ass', the moment Levi brushed past him to grab the Windex, he gave Eren a hard slap aimed to his bottom. Eren jumped slightly, covering his butt as he turned around to glare at Levi.
"Stop that!" Eren whined, his eyebrows furrowing in irritation at Levi's smirk.
"I like your ass, though," Levi responded as he sprayed some Windex on the window he was going to clean.
"I like your ass, too," Eren rose an eyebrow, a sly smile crawling onto his face.
"What about my ass?" Mikasa turned around, a joking look on her face as she crossed her arms, "I like my ass."
"I don't." Levi replied sharply, and honestly, "It's super bony, according to Eren."
"Do you even meat, sis?" Eren squinted one eye at her, pretending to look disgusted, "I mean, I have more ass than you, and I'm a guy."
"Stop," the Ackerman child shook her head, turning around with distaste as she headed back to work, cleaning the window until it was sparkly, "just, stop."
"Geez, Mikasa," Eren stuck his tongue out, "I was just playing with you!"
"Shut up, before I make that tongue clean the Windex off all the windows!"
"Attempted murder! Levi, call 911!"
"Shut up, both of you, I need to leave in an hour."
Carla Jaeger fell wedged in between the mattress and blanket on her bed, her head resting on a pillow. She was wide awake, and she has been for the past two hours. She wasn't able to sleep, knowing that the house was messy. Several 'what if?' questions ran through her head. What if they had forgotten to clean the tables? What about the laundry, she wasn't completely done with it yet. Some clothes were still in the dryer. What happens if they had gone stale dry, and crinkled? They wouldn't like that, but they told her not to do any work today. Should she listen? If they listened to her, then that would give them the right to have her listen to them, right?
The brunette shook her head as she sat up in her bed, looking at the closed, white door. She frowned slightly, "Maybe I should just bring the laundry down for them. That's the least I can do, right?" She asked herself with a sigh as she swung her legs over the edge, her head ache beginning the moment she did so, "I'm sure they're doing their best to clean downstairs, that would mean I would have to, too." Deciding to get the laundry basket to pile the clothes in, she pulls it into her arms. With one hand, she opens the laundry room's door. Carla strolls in and walks over to the dryer, placed next to the washing machine. She opens the dryer's hatch and pulls out the piles of white clothes, pushing them into the basket with a loud sigh as he migraine continue to pound at her head. Closing the dryer's hatch, she takes the laundry basket back into her arms and walks out into the hallway. She ambles down, passing by Mikasa's room. She stops directly above the stairs because of the throbbing in her head. The pounding had turned into the feeling of someone taking a nail and hammering it into your skull. Carla shook her head and refused to give into the pain at the thoughts of her children doing all the hard work she was supposed to do.
Her eyes trailed downwards to the heavy laundry basket in her arms, and her golden eyes widened with shock at the sight of her husband's long, white shirt. Carla longingly gazed at it, whispering her husband's name with a soft, sweet voice, "Grisha," she says as she takes a step forward, unable to see the stairs before her. Not able to see the one stair she had missed, and when she rendered that she had, it was far too late. After a measly blink, she finds herself flying, laundry clothes leaping out of the laundry basket, and throwing themselves at her face, and as she fell, she thought that one of the shirts resembled a bird flying freely into the sky. She lets out a quick breath and lets her instinct take place. She kept her head up, and threw her hands behind her head, and damn, when she found herself sliding down the stairs, she was thankful for her fast reaction time. She breathed out in pained gasps as she slid down the stairs, and once she made impact with the floor, there was less pain, but enough pain to make her already hazy eyesight vanish into black.
The last things Carla heard was her name being called out, the numbers '9-1-1', and what seemed like her husband calling her name out.
"Carla..."
swagcity good bye
I planned this so yeah.
