Please Please Me, 2:00

Crowded together in the games closet, the two high school juniors discuss their relationship—one that's not just limited to stepsiblings anymore.

"What would Derek and Casey think?"

"Geez, Ed. That's worse than asking what Mom and George would think," Lizzie mutters. "We're not even really dating."

"We're sneaking out. We're eating out. We're making out. That's dating."

She rolls her eyes. "We've kissed once. That's not making out, and that's definitely not dating... We're stepsiblings."

"We're teenagers," he corrects. "Besides, it's a fact. No girl can resist the Venturi charm."

She laughs. "Yeah, Derek's, maybe."

"Hey! Liz-zie!"

They stare at each other, and burst into giggles.

"Oh my gosh, Edwin. That… you sounded like Casey!"

"I know!" he gasps. He sits up, becoming serious. "You know I like you, Liz. I'll let you decide."

"Come on, Ed! Get real. It would never work out. We're practically related!"

"Please, Lizzie. Trust me. Let's give it a shot."

"Mom and Dad can never know. No one can know, got it?"

He doesn't reply so she grabs his collar, dragging his face closer to hers. "Got it?!"

"Fine, fine. Yes. I've got it." He grins. "Knew you couldn't resist the Venturi charm."
