It Won't Be Long, 2:11

Truman French stares at the brunette from across the Quad.

"Der-ek!" she snaps, hurrying away from her stepbrother.

Truman looks at the cuts on his wrists. He was too late. Casey wasn't his anymore, if she ever was. What she didn't know was that he, Truman, would always belong to her.

He admits, she didn't deserve any of the things he'd done to her. But, life was not fair. It wasn't about what you did or did not deserve. It was about how you play the cards life deals you.

Truman wasn't the type to go and beg for her forgiveness. He knows it won't be long now. The pills he'd swallowed seconds before would soon be finishing their jobs. He'll be out of his misery, and Casey will be out of hers. It's the only way.

It won't be long now.

Derek laughs, grabbing Casey's wrist and twirling her back into his arms. She smiles up at him.

Truman feels his heart breaking.

How can it be taking this long? It should have happened already. He's ready for it, he knows he is. It's the only thing Truman French will ever be good for. That's what his dad had told him on his sixteenth birthday.

It won't be long now.
