Five Years Later

Part 30

After another successful show, they all went out to grab a bite to eat which had become tradition and included all friends in attendance as well as Blaine's band. So with the addition of a few more guys from Dalton, the conversations took some interesting turns. Those that hadn't seen Blaine as often were in awe of all the originals they were doing, while the others had their attention peaked by what the songs were in reference too. The fact that there seemed to be a few more love songs apart of the show certainly had everyone thinking. And the way Blaine relaxed against Sebastian afterwards seemed a bit more intimate than it had been before as strange as that might sound.

When Sebastian began to run his fingers through Blaine's curls absentmindedly, Rachel couldn't help but smile at the sight before her. She then looked down the table towards Santana who was talking with Nick and Beat. It took only a few moments to catch Santana's attention, yet once she did she pointed towards the sight and Santana smiled as well. The night was turning out to be exactly what everyone needed before going to spend some time with their families. "Would you like us to swing by and say hi to your parents Blaine?" Nick asked as he looked over at Blaine who had a smile of contentment on his face.

"If you want, go ahead as I know they'd love to see all of you. And it might make up for the fact that I'm not coming home."

"They're going to have to start coming to see you since your career is gaining steam." Beat replied. "Though, if I remember right getting your Mom to come to New York shouldn't be too hard."

"True, it's not. She and my Dad are actually planning a trip out here to see me since it's been awhile."

"Better be on your best behavior Sebastian." Nick told him with a smile.

"I'm always on my best behavior Nicholas." When Nick cocked an eyebrow at him, Sebastian smiled. "What, you don't believe me?"

"Maybe our definitions of best behavior are different." When the rest of them laughed, Sebastian could only feign hurt as Blaine looked up at him before kissing him on the jaw. "Ah, I get it, anything to make Blaine here want to make you feel better."

"It doesn't take you saying something for me to want to take care of him." Blaine replied catching Nick by surprise as well as the others as there seemed to be a bit more meaning behind Blaine's words.

"I knew I loved you for a reason." Sebastian said before kissing the top of Blaine's head, both of them completely oblivious to the fact that everyone was now staring at them wide-eyed.

"Excuse me, but what did we just hear?" Santana asked as she and Rachel kept looking between each other and them.

"Who are you referring to?" Blaine said innocently enough even though all of their expressions gave it away.

"Or should we presume you're talking about me and the fact that I just said to Blaine that I loved him for a reason."

"That!" Rachel replied with a big smile that was rather similar to the ones the rest of them were sporting in that moment.

"You're all ridiculous." Sebastian told them before kissing Blaine once more. "Does it really surprise you that I'm in love with Blaine?"

"Or for that matter, I'm in love with Sebastian." Blaine added.

"No, we just didn't know you'd told each other that." Rachel replied. "Right?" And everyone agreed with Rachel. "Was this recent or have you truly kept us all out of the loop?"

"Recent, though we've both known it for a while." Sebastian said as Blaine placed his hand on Sebastian's thigh. "It was just a matter of finally telling one another. But so you know, you're not going to find out anything more about the moment."

"It's about time." Thad told them earning him a wink from Jeff. "Just don't get all saccharin sweet on us Sebastian or we might not know how to react."

"Don't worry as that will never happen." Sebastian said before taking a sip of his drink. "You and Hunter always keep me on my toes so fear not, it won't happen." When Hunter raised his glass to him, Sebastian smiled before picking his up and nodding in return. After taking a sip, Sebastian set his glass down and took a look around. The way everyone got along was such a refreshing thing to see as Blaine had worried that there were too many personalities for this to happen. Yet while there were a lot of personalities, they all got along.

When they all started to gather their things to go home, Sebastian managed to make his way over to Hunter who was waiting on Kimberly who was speaking with Talia. "Did Thad give it to you?" Hunter asked after glancing over at his girlfriend.

"He did and needless to say, I'm shocked. What prompted you to investigate Kurt of all people?"

"Things you said and didn't say, along with the way Blaine acts as well as things he's said. Kurt wasn't so innocent back when they were married, was he?"

"From what I saw, no, yet I haven't had time to look through it all as everyone was over when Thad gave it to me." Sebastian said before looking over at Blaine who was saying his goodbyes to the guys that were heading back to Ohio. "But from what I saw, I absolutely won't be reading it with Blaine anywhere in the vicinity. Are you sure it's all legit?"

"Positive as I asked that myself when I got it. Now you know why I mentioned to Thad that it shouldn't be read around Blaine."

"I do. I probably won't touch it till after Christmas as tonight we're heading back to Blaine's."

"Well, you two have fun alright as you deserve it. And no need to rush into it, I just wanted to make sure you had your bases covered should something ever happen."

"Thank you Hunter as I'm sure we will. Also, I appreciate that." The two then exchanged a quick hug as Kimberly came walking back over. "The same goes for the two of you." Sebastian said quickly as he didn't want her to get suspicious about what they might be talking about. In the amount of time he'd spent with her, not much got passed as she certainly paid attention to her surroundings. But with her line of work, the fact that she could read people well, it wasn't too surprising and that was precisely the type of girl Hunter needed in his life. He needed someone who was strong, yet sweet. And also has no problem calling him out should he get out of line, while also encouraging him should the situation warrant.

"Oh, we plan on it, trust me." Hunter replied while helping her on with her coat. "And Sebastian, it's about time you told him how you feel."

"Don't I know it?" Sebastian then bent down to give Kimberly a hug and a kiss on the cheek before she and Hunter headed off. Slowly everyone headed on their way till it was only Blaine, Sebastian, Rachel, and Santana. "May I ask what you ladies are waiting for?"

"Blaine told us you'd escort us on the subway." Santana replied. "Is that a problem?"

"Not at all, so let's get going."

During the ride back to Brooklyn, none of them were surprised by how quiet the train was considering the hour and it being a holiday week. So to pass the time, the girls told Blaine everything they loved about his show which caused him to blush. Never would Blaine of figured he'd have such a fan in Santana, yet she seemed almost more excited about what was happening for him than Rachel if that was possible. While they were asking about one of his newer songs, Rachel's phone rang which they all heard with as empty as their car was. Santana tried to get her to ignore it as she knew the ringtone, yet Rachel didn't.

The moment she began to speak, Santana saw Sebastian roll his eyes which caused her to giggle. As the conversation progressed, Santana moved a bit closer because Rachel's expression was priceless. "No Kurt, you're not able to see Blaine perform as the show ended a while ago and Blaine is already on his way home." Santana looked over at Blaine and Sebastian who were just shaking their heads. "Yes, I'm positive he's on his way home as we went out with him and everyone else afterwards."

"Not to mention you're in the same subway car, sitting across from him right now." Santana said softly causing Blaine and Sebastian to laugh. Rachel then tilted her phone towards Santana so she could hear what Kurt was saying. When Santana had to stifle a laugh, Blaine and Sebastian looked at her as the girls continued to listen to him ramble. "He's drunk."

"I don't know why it matters, but yes, his boyfriend was there." Rachel said into the phone. "As were quite a few of the guys from Dalton. No, I don't know if he's reconnected with all of them. But he has reconnected with those that were closest to him. Kurt, I need to go as our stop is next alright. I need to go. Yes, we can talk later. Bye." When she finally ended the call the others began to laugh, while also feeling bad for her as they could tell she was frustrated.

"What did he want?" Sebastian asked as they still had a bit of time before they were getting off. "I mean, aside from wanting to see B perform."

"He honestly had no clue how late it was and thought he'd still be able to make it." Rachel replied. "Then, once I told him he'd missed it he asked if you, aka Blaine's boyfriend was there, as well as wanting to know if the guys were there."

"You can tell he's not thrilled the guys are all back in your life Blaine." Santana told him. "He seemed rather frustrated by it."

"Too bad as he has no say in my life anymore. And honestly, I never should've let him convince me to push them away."

"Little did he expect the guys to understand?" Sebastian said. "Yet they did as they knew you'd never put them at arm's length by choice. Rachel, Santana, does Kurt know Blaine is playing on New Year's Eve?"

"I don't know." Rachel replied and Santana said the same thing. "But we haven't discussed our New Year's Eve plans. If you want, the next time I talk with him I'll ask."

"We'd appreciate that." Sebastian said as Blaine nodded. "It's better to know he's in the house than being surprised like last time."

"Just know guys, he might not tell Rachel as she's told him he probably shouldn't come to Blaine's shows." Santana told them. "As he's now aware the guys are around and she told him it might be safer if he stayed away."

"That actually smart advice considering how the guys feel about him." Blaine said. "Yet, it's a matter of whether or not he listens." Considering Blaine's tone, Sebastian realized Blaine accepted the fact that Kurt could very well be at his next show and there wasn't much they could do about it. Though, thankfully security was aware of Kurt, so he wouldn't be able to get near Blaine inside the bar. And now that Blaine and the band had a manager, getting back to see them was even harder than ever as Vincent was clearly protecting them. While he had no problems letting people backstage, they had to have been cleared before the show or he wouldn't even consider it.

Once it came time for them to switch trains, they all exchanged hugs as they knew they wouldn't be seeing each other till after the holiday. But Rachel told them they'd give them a call once gifts were open which Sebastian told her not to call too early since they love to sleep in. Santana smiled and shot Blaine a wink before they headed off. After the girls vanished, Sebastian looked at Blaine as they only had a short distance to go. "What was that look about B?"

"What look?"

"The one Santana gave you."

"I'll tell you when we get back to my place as long as you won't laugh."

"Deal."

When they finally made their way back to Blaine's it didn't take them long to curl up on the couch after ridding themselves of their coats. Once Sebastian grabbed the blanket from behind them, Blaine glanced back at him and smiled. "Are you sure you don't want coffee or something Bas?"

"Positive." Sebastian replied before tightening his arms around Blaine as they sat quietly in the living room basked only in the soft glow of Christmas lights. "Now, what was that look about B?" Blaine glanced up at him once more and shook his head. "Come now, you know I'm not going to let you get out of telling me, especially when you think it's something I'm going to laugh about. Though, correct me if I'm wrong, last time you thought I'd laugh I thought it was perfect."

"This is different Bas." Blaine said as he moved slightly so he could look at Sebastian. "Santana's look is because I tend to be an early riser on Christmas, always have been. It's one of my favorite holidays so I try to soak it all in." When Sebastian didn't say anything, but only smiled Blaine rested his head back against his chest. "You don't think it's silly?"

"Not in the slightest. And so you know, I said what I did as I didn't know when you got up as I tend to get up early as well. Hell, I even did it in Europe when I was by myself. There is something very tranquil about Christmas morning; I can't quite explain it though."

"I agree. While I was a kid, it was all about rushing downstairs to see what Santa left under the tree. Now, I don't know what it is yet I can't seem to sleep in."

"That's fine by me Killer. Now, why did you think I'd laugh?"

"Some people think it's childish to still get so excited on Christmas morning." With that answer, Sebastian loosened his hold and tilted Blaine's head up towards him. The look in Sebastian's eyes alone said what he was thinking. "Yes, he thought it was childish and would tease me about it. Blaine, you're not a kid anymore so there is no reason to wake up so early. Blaine, do you really think there's anything under there that you didn't see last night?" With each comment the mocking in Blaine's voice grew more and more causing Sebastian to hold him close. While he was new at relationships, he knew you don't do that to the person you care about. And while some might feel it was hypocritical for him to feel like that as he loved to tease people, he knew you had to choose your moments.

"Blaine…Blaine…please, stop." Sebastian said softly as Blaine kept going. Even though he knew getting this out of his system was a good thing, Sebastian honestly couldn't listen to it anymore as it was breaking his heart. When Blaine looked up at him, the look in his eyes was so different than moments prior. It was clear how much those words back then hurt him so Sebastian leaned down and kissed him, wanting the smile to return to his face. That kiss to Blaine's forehead, caused Blaine to scoot up more and the two began to kiss but there was nothing rushed about it. The longer the kiss lasted, Sebastian could feel Blaine relax and he soon felt as relaxed in his arms as he did when they first got settled. One thing Sebastian realized in that moment though, was that he was going to make Christmas special for Blaine in more ways than he'd originally planned. There was no doubt he wanted to see Blaine smiling like a child on Christmas morning as he deserved it.

The next morning when Sebastian awoke, he wasn't the slightest bit upset waking to an empty bed as the smell of coffee and cinnamon filled the air. Once he sat up, he listened more closely and could hear Christmas music playing. And if his ears weren't deceiving him, Blaine was singing. So it didn't take him long to grab a pair of pants and a shirt to throw on and go see what Blaine had been up to that morning. Upon rounding the corner he saw Blaine dancing and singing as he got plates out of the cabinet. Just as he turned to set the plates on the counter he caught Sebastian smiling at him through the cut-out. "What?" Blaine asked as a shy smile crept to his face as Sebastian's smile wasn't necessarily innocent.

"Nothing, I was appreciating the view." Sebastian replied before rounding the corner and walking into the kitchen. "It smells amazing B."

"Thank you." Blaine replied as he wrapped his arms around Sebastian. "Good morning."

"Good morning to you." As Sebastian spoke Blaine moved up on his toes so they could kiss the moment he finished. "You taste good." He then licked his lips before going in for another kiss. Before they could get carried away, Blaine pushed back a bit.

"We'll have plenty of time for that after breakfast. Now, how about you pour us some coffee and I'll take breakfast out of the oven."

"Alright, but only because you said we can continue. Plus…I'm starving." Sebastian then leaned in for a quick peck before letting go to pour their coffee. "What are we having Killer as I smell cinnamon?"

"I made a Dutch apple pancake." Blaine replied as he opened the oven. "It's one of my favorites so my Mom made sure I knew how to make one in case I couldn't find a restaurant that served them. I hope you like apples and cinnamon as there's quite a bit in it."

"I do." Sebastian replied and soon his eyes bugged out the moment Blaine took it out of the oven. "That looks and smells incredible B."

"Thanks. We just have to let it sit for a few minutes or we'll burn our mouths." Sebastian nodded before handing Blaine his cup of coffee which he'd already fixed how he likes. "I'm really sorry about my brief breakdown last night."

"You don't have to be sorry B. I could've handled it better. It just wasn't something I expected to hear. And while I love that you feel safe to open up to me, I don't know how I'll react. It'll take me some time to adjust. So, just have some patience as I've said before."'

"I shouldn't dump that on you Bas. One would think I'd have everything out of my system by now." Sebastian cocked his head to the side which didn't go unnoticed by Blaine. "I see a therapist. After everything that happened, my parents insisted I go and see one as they didn't necessarily recognize who I'd become. And once you compound it with the things I'd been through, it made sense." Sebastian then moved closer and gave Blaine a kiss. "What was that for?"

"It was because I love you and not many people admit to seeing a therapist. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just…"

"Relax Bas, I understand. It's one of the reasons I hadn't mentioned it as I didn't want you to think I'm damaged goods." Hearing those words come out of Blaine's mouth, Sebastian set his coffee cup down before taking Blaine's from his hand and setting it beside his before wrapping him up tightly in his arms.

"That never crossed my mind B. And you are not damaged goods, so get that thought out of your head. You've gone through more than most ever do during their lives so having someone to talk to is a good thing. That way you're not keeping it all bottled up inside as that could destroy you."

"Do you mean that?"

"You know I do." Sebastian then pressed a kiss to the top of Blaine's head. "Now, how about we eat?" Blaine smiled up at him and nodded before going to serve up their plates while Sebastian got settled at the counter.

With it being Christmas Eve, the two talked over breakfast about what they each used to do on those days growing up. It didn't come to much of a surprise to Sebastian to hear that growing up Blaine did all the typical family things as it fit with everything he'd heard about his family. And Blaine wasn't surprised to hear that Sebastian's holidays tended to be a bit more formal because of his upbringing. It wasn't that Sebastian minded as he'd enjoyed them, but he really didn't have much to compare them with since it was all he knew. "Since you're usually traveling, what would you like to do today?" Blaine asked after finishing his last bite.

"What are my options?" Sebastian replied as he took his last forkful around the plate to get that last bits of cinnamon.

"We can do anything you want."

"I want options." When he spoke this time, Sebastian was chewing so his speech was a bit mumbled. Blaine couldn't help but laugh as seeing Sebastian like this was something he would probably never get used to. "So?" He then asked clearly after taking a sip of his coffee.

"Well, we could go see the tree or go skating?"

"You skate?"

"I do, do you?"

"I do, but I haven't done it in quite some time. Am I able to rent skates as I obviously don't have any?"

"Yes, you can rent skates." Blaine said with a smile. "So, is that what you'd like to do?"

"It is how I'd like to start as we'll go from there if it's alright."

"That sounds perfect to me."

After cleaning up from breakfast, the two got dressed so they could go out skating. To say the day wasn't what Sebastian expected, might've been an understatement. While he'd always enjoyed skating when he'd gone, he was reminded it had been awhile with the amount of times he fell. Each time he did, Blaine skated around him before helping him up, all the while having the most adorable smile on his face. The last time Sebastian fell, Blaine carefully helped him up before kissing him softly on the lips. Then with a tilt of his head towards the exit, the two made their way off the ice as Blaine could tell Sebastian was a bit embarrassed by falling as often as he did.

Yet Blaine never made a fuss over it, didn't try to coddle him, just helped him and they continued on their way again. With Sebastian's ass a bit sore from falling, Blaine told him to wait while he returned their skates which he didn't have an issue with. Just as Sebastian was beginning to wonder what was taking Blaine so long, he returned with two cups of hot chocolate in hand. After handing one to him, they decided to go and check out the nearby tree before returning to Blaine's for the rest of the day.

During their walk, they each received quite a few phone calls from friends asking them how they were spending the day. And most were a bit shocked to hear they'd gone skating, as it almost seemed too normal for them. By the time they returned to Blaine's, Sebastian looked at him before giving him a kiss. "May I ask what that was for, though you really don't need a reason to kiss me?"

"Yet you tend to ask." Sebastian replied as they hung up their coats on the rack. "For your information, I kissed you to thank you for not making me feel like a complete fool while we were out. Clearly, I need to practice a bit more to keep up with you."

"You weren't that bad Bas." Blaine said as they walked towards the couch.

"Tell that to my ass." The laugh that escaped Blaine caused Sebastian to turn and wrap his arms tightly around him. "You think that's funny, do you?"

"A little." Blaine replied with a smile. "It could've been worse."

"Trust me, I know as I was downright graceful compared to some of those people out there today."

"That you were. How about you get comfortable and I'll get us something to snack on as well as some more hot chocolate."

"More hot chocolate?"

"Yes, unless you want something else."

"No, that sounds great B." Sebastian then gave him another kiss before letting him go so he could do what he wanted. Once Blaine walked away, Sebastian stretched out on the couch face down as he honestly didn't want to sit for awhile. With the way he was laying, he was able to take in more of which was around the tree and was surprised to see multiple presents for him from Blaine's parents. While he was a bit surprised, at least now he wouldn't have to say anything to Blaine regarding the numerous gifts his parents had sent for him.

When Blaine returned he couldn't help but laugh to himself seeing the way Sebastian was lying as he realized his backside hurt more than he was letting on. "Is there room for me or should I sit on the chair?" Blaine asked while setting the hot chocolate on the table.

"There is always room for you." Sebastian said as he rolled onto his side. "Do you need more room?"

"It's sort of hard to drink that way." With that response, Sebastian scooted up a bit so he was lounging against the arm as well as the back. "Much better." Blaine told him before getting comfortable. "Considering where your eyes were, when do you want to open those gifts?"

"Was it that obvious?" Sebastian replied as he took his cup of hot chocolate from Blaine.

"Not really. But we should figure out when we want to do so."

"Your place, your choice." After he spoke, Blaine began to laugh once again. "What?" Sebastian then watched Blaine lean in before brushing his nose with his finger.

"Whipped cream."

"There are better ways to remove that Killer."

"Are there?"

"You know there are." Sebastian then took another sip, but this time around he made certain to leave quite a bit of whipped cream on his lips. "Are you going to clean me up again?"

"You're incorrigible, you know that?"

"I do, yet you love me all the same."

"I certainly do." Blaine then took Sebastian's cup from him and set it on the table beside his bringing a smile to Sebastian's face. "Have to make sure I'm diligent." Sebastian barely had the chance to smile before Blaine leaned in for a kiss. From there it wasn't long till Blaine found himself lying on his back with Sebastian above him. And considering earlier, he couldn't resist sliding his hands down Sebastian's back to give his ass a nice a little squeeze which caused him to break the kiss. "What?" Blaine asked as he batted his lashes at Sebastian before licking his lips.

"Someone's playful today." Blaine only smiled up at him in response. "But be careful as you don't want to go too far and end up on the naughty list."

"I'd never end up there, I'm a good boy." The playfulness in Blaine's voice didn't go unnoticed.

"You most certainly are." Sebastian told him before leaning in closer. "Just know Santa checks that list one last time before dropping gifts off. You want everything that Santa has for you, don't you?"

"Bas?"

"You're not the only one that can sport a Santa hat Killer."
