"I should have known better with a girl like you, that I would love everything that you do. And I do." I Should Have Known Better, the Beatles -Dasey-

I Should Have Known Better, 2:44

"This is Casey MacDonald, reporting from Pakistan. The U.S. military team responsible for bin Laden's death is rumored to be back in Pakistan. When we arrived outside the compound at Abbottabad, we were turned away by local police. After the break, we'll cover the newest information about the SEAL team and recap the events of May 1, 2011."

Derek Venturi mutes the TV as commercials begin.

His cell phone rings. "Hello?"

"Derek, it's Carmen. Where are you?"

He sighs. His partner. "Home. Why?"

"Were you watching the news?"

"I have it on now."

"That girl, on Channel Six. That's your girl!"

Derek laughs. "Yeah, Casey's on Channel Six."

"You miss her, huh?" The spitfire Latino woman reminded him of Casey.

"Yeah. Listen, it's back on, so I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Got it, Venturi." She hangs up with a click.

Derek turns to the TV. Yeah, he missed Casey. A lot.

"Casey MacDonald here," she smiles winsomely at the camera, wondering if Derek even knew how far she'd come. "Our investigative team back in the States has a theory on the SEAL's team location. Back to you."

The cameraman signals they were no longer live.

Her cell phone vibrates with a text.

Nice job, Case. Watched every second.

She grins. She should have known better. Of course, he still loved her, and was keeping tabs on her. Just like she knew that she'd be back in New York by the time his movie premiered.
