Hello evryone I just wanted to say I'm not dead. And before the magic swords, wands and tomatoes are brought out I come bearing gifts. I present you chapter seven.,
A few months into the school year Percy's POV
I was in the library nursing a headache and trying to concentrate on the book I'm reading when my best friends Fred and George barge in loudly earning a filthy look from Madame Pince. I sighed and put my book away knowing I had no hope of continuing now. The identical brothers skidded to a stop when they reached me.
"Perce we need to talk."
"Like really urgent." They said gasping for breath. I sighed again. My other hopes that this is simply another prank idea were also dashed. I motioned them to fallow me to the back of the library to a secluded corner.
"So what's got you in a funk?" I asked the certified trouble makers. They had gotten their breathing under control by now.
"The third floor corridor-" One of them started. I gave them the look.
"You didn't." I said sternly suppersing the urge to groan.
"We did."
"There was a monster there."
"A huge three headed dog." I was slightly offended now.
"He is not a monster. Actually once you get to know him Fluffy is such a sweethart." I informed them. Cerberuses were such misunderstood creatures and they were so rare too. Other than the original Cerberus Fluffy was the only one I ever saw. The twins, however, looked horrified.
"THAT THING HAS A NAME." They exclaimed in unision.
"Yes and feelings too now be quiet before we get kicked out or worse someone gets wind of it." The twins left soon after that and I put my head down on the table and groaned. I just asked them to leave it alone. Was it too much to ask? Potter boy and his friends were already getting into troublesome matters now all everyone needs is the twin terrors to get involved. Now THAT is a mess nobody would get out off anytime soon.
Time Skip to Halloween- still Percy's POV
I sat with everyone at the Halloween Banquet chatting and eating but I was tense. Even though Halloween was one of the times I am the most powerful as it's the day the veil between the land of the living and the dead is at it's thinnest it's also one of the most troublesome days in the year.
Just when I began to relax the tiniest bit and start thinking maybe, just maybe this year will be fine I was interrupted. By that insufferable man Quirrel too. He stuttered so much most people either pitied him or thought him a fool. But there was something about that guy. Something wrong that made my hair stand and every instinct blear with warning signs.
"Troll in the dungeons. Thought you may want to know." He yelled shrilly and promptly fainted. All was chaos after that. Untill…
"SILENCE!" Even above all that noise everyone in the hall heard him. "Prefects take the students to their dorms. Teachers fallow me to the dungeons."
I cursed internally. Then I saw Potter and Ron Weasley separeting and cursed some more. I knew sending everyone to their dormitories was standard procedure in situations like these but Slytherin dorms were located in the bloody dungeons. Okay choose Jackson. Are you going to chase two kids to make sure they go to their dorms safely or go watch out for the Slytherin House.
I cursed my duties as a heir and ran to the dungeons to watch out for the Slytherins. I hope the kids are good other wise they are done for if the troll finds them. I shadowed the snake house from the shadows and once I was sure they were in their dorms safely I went to Gryfindor Tower to check up on the kids and finish the banquet with my friends. By the time I made it to the common room unseen by any of the teachers the kids were thankfuly there with a third, that girl Granger.
I plopped down next to my pals Gred and Forge and scared the hell out off them.
"Ahh man don't do that sneaking up thing." Fred grumbled.
"I wasn't sneaking you two just need to pay more attention to what's happening around you. And speaking of what's happening around what happened with Potter and your little bro?" I asked. They shared a look.
"Well the official story is that Granger got cocky and went to look for the troll only to be saved by the boys." George started.
"But nobody had seen Granger in the banquet or even after the second period now that we think about it." Fred finished.
"Basicly something happened to the girl int he second period and when our gallant gentlemen heard about the troll they decided to go get her. Did I miss anything?" I theoritised.
"We also have reason to believe they took down the troll by themselves too." George added. I raised an eyebrow impressed. Three first years took down a fully grown mountain troll.
"I know impressive isn't it?"Fred pitched in.
"Yes very impressive. Even more so than his peformance in the Quidditch field if I do say so myself." I commented reffering to the jinxed broom incident in the first Quidditch of the year. After that we spent the remainder of the dinner chatting amicably about random and normal things even though we were anything but.
There you go everyone the long awaited chapter seven.
