Five Years Later

Part 44

With having another performance that evening, Sebastian wasn't too surprised when Blaine mentioned that he'd prefer to take it easy that day. While they both enjoyed going out and doing things, this worked out for the best as Sebastian had some studying he needed to do. So after cleaning up from a late breakfast, they both got settled in the living room for the day. When Sebastian set a few of his books on the table it caught Blaine's attention so much that he stopped what he was doing. "Do you need to read all of those?"

"I'm part way through them all." Sebastian replied. "They happen to be the ones I'll use throughout Law School. Now, are you going to be playing today or composing or what?"

"A little bit of everything. There are a few songs I want to work on the arrangements for, plus I've been jotting down lyrics for awhile so I'm going to see if I have enough to start putting them together."

"So I'm going to get to see you honestly creating here."

"Yes, that's not going to be a problem, is it?" Blaine asked as he opened up his laptop and set it beside him.

"Nope, as I enjoy listening to you."

"But this is going to be a bit disjointed Bas."

"That's fine." Once Sebastian replied, he leaned over to give Blaine a kiss on the cheek. "And if you feel the need to bounce ideas off of me go right ahead." Those words caused Blaine to tilt his head as he looked at him. "I'm serious Killer, it won't be a problem. And with what I have to read today, it'll be a good distraction."

"What are you reading up on?"

"Rape law." When Blaine's expression changed again, Sebastian kissed him on the cheek once more. "Now you know why I said it would be a good distraction."

"That I do."

Considering they were spending a quiet day working and studying, neither really bothered getting dressed beyond wearing lounge pants and t-shirts. They figured if they were going to be working all day, they might as well be comfortable. While the two worked, they weren't too surprised to get a few texts from friends. The best was when they each heard from Santana and Rachel as Quinn was going out to meet Stephen for coffee. And while it might've been insulting to some since she was in town for a visit, it worked out well as Santana was going out with Jordan and Rachel was working that afternoon.

After a few hours of studying, Blaine glanced to the side after seeing Sebastian setting his text book on the table. Once they made eye contact, all it took was for Blaine to tap his lap just once for Sebastian to move so he could lie down with his head on Blaine's lap. With Sebastian comfortable, Blaine could no longer play his keyboard two handed so he concentrated on the melody while running his fingers through Sebastian's hair with his other hand. From the look that Sebastian had on his face when he put his book down, Blaine was content to let him lie like that for as long as he wanted. But when the moment came and one of Sebastian's hands was moving up his thigh, Blaine stopped what he was doing to glance down at him.

There was a glint in Sebastian's eyes that Blaine knew all too well and that he certainly wasn't going to stop Sebastian from whatever he had in mind. The smile Blaine gave him in return was all Sebastian needed to see before proceeding further as Blaine continued to work. Seeing that was added incentive for Sebastian to see if he could distract Blaine from what he was doing. Knowing he wasn't going to get any help from Blaine, Sebastian was thrilled he wasn't wearing sweatpants, but lounge pants that actually buttoned down the front.

With each button that came undone, Blaine would glance down yet Sebastian didn't notice as he was focused on what he had in mind. Yet the moment Blaine felt Sebastian's hand slip through the slit in his boxers and wrap around him he couldn't help but gasp and that caused Sebastian to look up and smirk. Since Blaine wasn't just sitting back, Sebastian was a bit more deliberate in his actions as any time Blaine got too comfortable, he'd proceed further. By the time Blaine felt Sebastian's mouth surrounding the tip he was so worked up that he leaned back against the couch knowing there was no way he'd be able to work with as good as Sebastian had him feeling.

Blaine didn't know what prompted Sebastian to do what he was doing, but he certainly had no objections. The more incoherent Blaine's speech became, the tighter his grip on Sebastian's hair became. By the time Blaine's orgasm took over he was a bit light-headed from the sheer force of it. So when Sebastian straddled his lap a few moments later, he could only look up at him with a loving look in his eyes. "That good, huh?" Sebastian asked as he brushed some of Blaine's curls off his forehead before licking his lips once more. Seeing Blaine this content was a sight Sebastian loved more than anyone might expect as in that moment, it was clearly only about the two of them.

"Very." Blaine replied before placing his hands on Sebastian's hips. "That's certainly one way to get me to take a break."

"I felt showing you what I needed was better than asking." Sebastian then leaned in closer and began slowly kissing down Blaine's jaw line. "Normally, when you play, I have to behave." He told him before beginning to work his way down his neck. "Yet now, I can show you the affect you have on me when you play." The moment Sebastian's lips brushed his pulse point, Blaine leant his head to the side, loving the way it felt. Sebastian knew his body so well that once he'd begun kissing him in this way, he never wanted him to stop.

With as good as he felt, Blaine didn't quite recall when it happened yet at some point Sebastian flipped them as Blaine was now straddling Sebastian's lap. Being like this was more the norm for them and even though Sebastian had been in control, he willingly relinquished it as Blaine became a bit more aggressive. Once Blaine was flush against him, Sebastian's hands moved from Blaine's hips around to his ass and pulled him even closer. In that moment, there was no doubt how badly Sebastian wanted him. And Blaine let him know the desire went both ways after nipping at his ear. "Are you sure Killer as I have no problems taking this elsewhere?"

"Positive." Blaine replied before kissing Sebastian on the cheek. "You'll need to let go so I can get up, no matter how briefly." Sebastian nodded in response so he released his hold and Blaine made his way off his lap. While Blaine was removing his clothes, Sebastian lifted up enough from the couch to push down his pants and boxers before removing his shirt. Being rid of his clothes was a relief for him as he watched Blaine move towards the end table. Once he was tossed the bottle of lube, Sebastian kept his eyes on him to see if anything else was coming his way. Yet the next thing he saw was Blaine making his way back onto his lap. "What is it?" He asked noticing the way Sebastian was looking at him. "Change your mind?"

"When it comes to you B, I'd never change my mind." Sebastian then wrapped his hand around Blaine's neck and pulled him into a kiss. "I was just wondering if you were going to give me anything else." The way Sebastian cocked his eye brow Blaine instantly smiled before holding up the small package. "There it is."

"Tempting as it might be now is not the time to not use one." Once Blaine replied, they exchanged what they had in hand and finished getting ready. Considering how many times they'd done this, it didn't take them long and soon Blaine was rising up on his knees with his hands on Sebastian's shoulders. The way Blaine bit his lower lip to muffle his moan there was no doubt in Sebastian's mind that there was more stretch than usual. Yet before he had a chance to say anything, they were kissing and Blaine had started to move above him.

It didn't take them long to find a rhythm they were both good with as they were soon completely caught up in the moment. With it being midday, they were both trying to keep their volume in check considering one of Blaine's neighbors had kids. So the moment they heard a loud knock on the door, they both froze for a moment which stunned them both considering how close they both were. But once they didn't hear anything, they quickly resumed.

So when the next knock came, they both ignored it as they were both too close to care. "Blaine…are you guys home?" The sound of Wes's voice through the door caused them both to stifle a laugh which was difficult. It also let them know they had to be quiet as the last thing either of them wanted was Wes and whoever was with him as they were sure he wasn't alone hearing was the two of them in the moment. And while they heard his voice once again, it didn't matter because they were both going over the edge. When Blaine pressed his head against Sebastian's as he could no longer hold himself up, they each heard their phones going off nearby.

"I think they want to see you Killer." Sebastian told him as he ran his hands over Blaine's back.

"They should've called first since they knew you crashed here."

"I doubt the first thing that came to their mind was the fact that we might be having sex in the middle of the afternoon."

"True." Blaine then leaned in and gave him a kiss. "What do you say we take a shower?"

"Don't you want to call Wes back?"

"Not till after we shower as we're a bit sweaty."

"Lead the way Killer."

So while they were heading to take a shower, Wes and Thad decided to go and grab something to eat while they waited to hear back from Blaine and Sebastian. "You know, I wouldn't object to going to see Rachel at work." Wes told him as they entered a café near Blaine's building. "As I'm sure you want to see her."

"I appreciate that." Thad replied. "But Saturdays are pretty crazy for her so we really wouldn't get a chance to talk. Plus, it's not like we won't be seeing each other this evening."

"True. Did Nick say where he was going when he left?"

"Just that he was meeting up with Jeff and Morgan."

"Might this be about him meeting her friend?" Wes said before they were shown to a table. And while he could've continued, he chose to wait till they were seated as the café was a bit loud. By the time they were seated, Thad replied that he thinks it is as Nick looked a bit nervous before leaving the apartment. His observation about how Nick was acting before he left certainly made sense. "That would make tonight interest as I'm presuming she'd be coming to Blaine's show."

"It would. But that's the sort of interesting I don't mind." Thad told him. "I mean, we you can't tell me I was the only one waiting for Hummel to rear his head last night."

"You weren't." Wes replied. "At least tonight we really don't have to worry since this show wasn't advertised much in advance. I still can't believe how quickly everything is happening for them. I mean, I've read about it happening once in a while, but most artist really struggle."

"True, but timing seemed to work in Blaine's favor. They do say success in a music business not only takes talent, but being in the right place at the right time." Wes nodded as he knew that was all too true. "Yet we both know he did struggle to get to this point, just not in the way most might expect. When Sebastian told me he wasn't comfortable performing anymore I almost thought he was talking about someone else."

"Considering I'd been in touch with him, Blaine truly didn't let anyone know how bad things were. Hell, when I spoke with Sam over winter break even he didn't know. I hate that he felt so alone that he couldn't turn to all of us."

"Hummel did a number on him." Thad told him before they placed their order. "Even Rachel didn't know and she was probably around him the most. While she and Santana saw a change in him performing, they had no idea what brought it on."

"Have you told Rachel anything that Blaine's shared with us?"

"No and I don't plan to as it's not my place. That's up to Blaine and I really don't think he wants her to know. I've gotten to know her well enough to know she'd be devastated that she didn't see how truly bad things were between them. Think about it Wes, you feel bad as you couldn't pick things up while talking to Blaine. For Rachel, it was happening right in front of her for the most part." Just as the last part left his mouth, Thad noticed a change in Wes's expression. "You know more than I do, don't you?"

"Possibly."

"Relax; I'm not going to push as I know if Blaine wants to share, he will but not until he's ready."

"I think the fact that everyone has been understanding about it, means a lot to him."

"That is something I do know. We've all come to the conclusion that he clearly needed that time to himself after he left Hummel to find himself. To see who he is now, we can only wonder what he was life after he left him."

"And I'm pretty sure, we're never going to find out since even those that saw him had no clue what was really going on." Wes added. "Yet now, he knows he's not alone and doesn't have to tackle things by himself."

The two were about done with their late lunch when they finally heard back from Blaine and Sebastian. Considering what each of them told them, Wes and Thad were both rather certain they were home when they stopped by but were probably preoccupied at the moment. Once they were invited over, neither hesitated in accepting as they both wanted to talk with Blaine. While they loved the moments they were all together, it didn't often give them time to truly talk. And with everything that was happening for Blaine career wise, they had plenty of questions.

During their walk to Blaine's, their conversation was interrupted for a few minutes when Hunter called with a question about the venue Blaine was playing that evening. Thad teased him for a moment as he wondered why he was receiving the call yet Hunter's answer made sense as he didn't want to disturb them knowing the weekends were some of the only time they spent together. When Wes questioned it afterwards, Thad told him that while they might see each other during the week, it's more about being around one another as Sebastian was studying. After thinking about it for a moment, Wes understood as he had more than a few friends attending Law School. So when you combine Sebastian's class load with Blaine's crazy schedule it made sense that not all time spent together was equal.

Once they arrived, they both took notice of the fact that Blaine's hair was damp when he opened the door to invite them in. "Late shower?" Thad asked as Blaine closed the door behind him.

"Yes." Blaine replied as he pointed towards the coat rack for them to hang their coats. "So, what has the two of you in my neck of the woods?"

"We thought we'd swing by as you've mentioned spending performance days at home." Wes told him as they walked towards the couch. The closer they got, they spotted Sebastian sitting in the corner studying while looking freshly showered as well. "We're not interrupting, are we?"

"I'm studying while B does his thing, be it writing or composing or practicing." Sebastian replied as he looked up at them before they took seats. "It's pretty standard for us on the weekend especially when B's performing during the evening."

"So you two do go out?" Wes said and they both nodded. "I figured as much considering what Thad here has to say most of the time."

"He mainly goes out on the weekends and maybe one night during the week." Sebastian told him. "But that's what he gets for going to Med School."

"Cute coming from someone going to Law School." Thad said.

"True, but I'll be done before you." The look on Sebastian's face when he spoke, got Blaine shaking his head slightly as this little conversation was proof of how some things truly don't change. "Now seriously, what brings you guys by?"

"Well, with everything that's happened we were curious about everything that's going on with Blaine." Wes replied. "We really haven't had much of an opportunity to talk about it."

"What would you like to know?" Blaine asked as he set his guitar back in the stand as it had been leaning against the couch.

"For starters, since you guys got the contract, how much time have you spent in the studio?"

"Probably more than you'd expect." Blaine replied. "But we haven't all been together all the time because of classes. So, during those times we've been able to work on our individual parts. Yet, we've got a long way to go as we've only picked out a few songs since the initial session that sort of kick started everything."

"Will any of those numbers be on the album?" Thad asked as Sebastian went back to studying as he was well informed in regards to everything that was happening with Blaine. Though, it would only take one glance at him to know he was tuning out the conversation completely.

"Yes, it's just a matter of which ones. The entire process is a bit more complex than one might imagine. Not to mention, there is always that chance that a recorded song doesn't make it as it doesn't fit the overall tone of the album." Blaine told them.

"Now, I'm sure this has been covered…" Wes said. "But, I was talking to my Dad about everything and since you write a lot of your own music he was hoping you're covered in that regard."

"I am." Blaine reassured him. "While I have a manager, I also have a lawyer who made sure I was taken care of in that regard." Once Blaine spoke, Sebastian felt all eyes on him.

"Yes, B was taken care of and not railroaded into signing something that didn't benefit him when it comes to royalties. He also registered with the two biggest performance rights organizations that will also protect him."

"So, more was going on beforehand than any of us knew?" Thad asked and they both nodded.

"It's not that I didn't want to tell you all, it's just…there was so much going on and I needed to stay focused." Blaine told them. "It was hard enough not telling you guys. And at that point, it was such an overwhelming experience trying to get everything taken care of."

"That explains why you seemed a bit more stressed around that time." Wes said. "Did you talk to anyone outside of Sebastian?"

"My parents, Bas's Dad, and Cooper."

"That's an interesting combination." Thad told him. "Yet at the same time, it makes sense. Your parents, because well, they're your parents. Cooper as he's had to deal with agents and lawyers just in a different regard. As for Sebastian's Dad, he's a lawyer that could give you honest answers to questions you might have as well as help steer you in the right direction."

"You pretty much got it." Blaine replied while getting a wink from Sebastian.

"It makes sense why you didn't talk to all of us about it." Wes said. "I mean, between finals and the holiday we all had a lot going on. Plus, it's not as though any of us could've really helped you. If anything, we probably would've annoyed you asking tons of questions you didn't have answers for yet."

"Basically, and there is still more going on but it's going to be a continuing process. The only difference being that over time I'll be more used to it."

"Do you know what your schedule is going to look like for the summer yet?" Thad asked him causing Sebastian to lift his head once more. "I'm only asking as the guys were all thinking of doing something but we want you to be able to join us."

"Our summer schedule is still being worked on but once it's finished, I will let you know what it looks like for certain. Yet I will tell you now, I do have a trip planned for right after graduation before everything starts. Vincent thought we could all use a slight break before the craziness truly begins with being on the road." Right after Blaine mentioned he had a trip planned after graduation, Wes and Thad both looked at Sebastian who they could tell was smirking from behind his book from the look in his eyes. "Yes, the trip is with Bas guys."

"And no, you can't join us." Sebastian added earning him a look from Blaine. Yet as hard as Blaine was trying to be stern, it wasn't working because he was in complete agreement with him. They had both talked earlier about whether or not to make it a group trip. But with all the traveling they already knew Blaine was going to be doing, they wanted this trip to be about them.

"And here we thought you'd be joining him on the road." Thad said as Wes nodded in agreement.

"I wish I could, but I'll be clerking this summer. So, now you know why I'm not sharing B during our vacation."

"Acceptable." Wes replied. "And that's an answer all of the guys can accept as well."

"I appreciate that." Blaine told him. "But I do hope to be able to spend time with you guys."

"We'll make it work." Thad replied. "It'll be easier for us to figure something out once you have your schedule. When in doubt, we'll come to you. Care to tell us where you two are going?"

"Some place with sun, sand, and water." Sebastian said causing Blaine to smile. "What, it's true B."

"I know it is, but I think Thad wanted a more precise answer." Once Blaine spoke, Thad reaffirmed what he said and looked at Sebastian."

"Fine, we're going to San Juan."

"Sounds like fun." Wes replied. "I have no doubt you'll make the most of your time." When Thad laughed, Sebastian grabbed nearby pillow and threw it right at his head causing Blaine and Wes to laugh. The fact that their friends treated them no different from any of the other guys was certainly a good feeling. Thad would've probably had the exact same reaction to any of the guys going away with their significant other in regards to what Wes said. When they were informed that Jeff and Morgan were planning on going away as well they weren't surprised in the slightest.

Seeing that Blaine and Sebastian both had work to do, Wes and Thad decided not to drag out their visit as they knew that at some point Blaine was still going to lie down for a nap. During their walk down the stairs as Thad had learnt pretty quickly how right they were in regards to the elevator, the two couldn't help talk about how at ease the two seemed. While Sebastian had clearly changed since starting college, the person they were seeing, especially around Blaine, was more laid back but that didn't mean his comments had toned down much.

On their way back to Thad's, they ended up hearing from Jeff who wanted to know if they wanted to join them for something to eat. Yet wasn't too surprised to hear that they had already eaten nor was he shocked to hear they'd visited with Blaine and Sebastian. When Thad heard laughter in the background, he asked what had Nick in such a good mood to which Jeff replied he'd find out later that night. That response was enough to let the two of them know that Nick had clearly hit it off with Morgan's friend. And while they both had quite a few questions to ask, they knew that then wasn't the time to ask.

After getting back to Thad's, they each decided to get a bit of studying done so that they weren't wasting their entire day on Sunday doing so before returning to classes. While they were studying, Rachel couldn't wait for her shift to end as she was exhausted. And while she would love to see Thad before Blaine's show, she knew she needed to go home and get some sleep as well as hopefully get to spend some time with Quinn. The latter was going to prove less of an issue as Quinn came walking into the diner. From the smile that was on her face, Rachel assumed that her coffee date with Stephen went well. Since the diner was still busy considering it was a Saturday, Quinn made her way to the counter so that she was out of the way yet knew they'd still be able to talk. After serving a table, Rachel made her way over towards her and leaned against the counter. "How much longer are you here?" Quinn asked as one of the waiters brought her a drink.

"An hour." Rachel replied while stretching. "I'll be happy to get home and off my feet for awhile."

"Understandable. Are you going to see Thad?"

"Not till Blaine's show tonight. Now, I'm assuming things went well from that smile you're sporting."

"They went very well." Quinn replied before taking a sip. "He's not only good-looking, but he's so smart and witty. I honestly can't remember the last time I had such an in-depth conversation with someone I'd just met. And he said it was certainly a wise move to come into the city to see Blaine perform as he seems to be getting better every time out."

"Santana and I have noticed that as well. Blaine's clearly coming into his own." Rachel then held up her hand as she needed to go and check on her tables. Once she was gone, Quinn decided to check her phone and giggled seeing a message from Santana asking her to text before returning home if it was going to be before Rachel's shift ended. Quinn sent a quick response acknowledging she'd received it so Santana wouldn't worry. Just as she was sliding her phone back into her purse, she sighed upon watching Kurt come walking through the doors. Thankfully in that moment, Rachel's back was turned so hopefully she'd get a chance to warn her before she saw him.

Yet Quinn knew that wasn't going to happen as Rachel turned and immediately after saw her shake her head. Knowing how Rachel felt about the situation, coming to talk to her while she was working wasn't the wisest of ideas. When Rachel made her way back to the counter to get drink refills, she looked at Quinn before rolling her eyes and giving another shake of her head. "Do you think you'll be able to avoid him?"

"Yes as everyone here knows better than to sit him in my section with everything that's been going on. Just be prepared should he see you as he'll come and talk to you." Rachel said as she put everything on the tray. "Be right back."

Once Rachel had dropped off the refills, she had to go and tend to a few more tables. And during that time, Kurt happened to spot Quinn and do precisely as Rachel had predicted. "Long time no see Fabray."

"Kurt."

"What brings you to town or are you only here visiting Rachel?" Kurt asked as he sat down beside her.

"While I'm visiting Rachel and Santana, I also came into town to see Blaine perform." The moment Blaine's name came out of her mouth, Kurt rolled his eyes. "That's a little uncalled for, don't you think Kurt."

"Let me guess, it all came from Rachel and Santana going on and on about how wonderful he is."

"No, it came from seeing him in New Haven and wanting to see him again." Quinn replied. "And don't act as though you haven't seen him perform more than once. I have it on good authority you've been to quite a few of his performances."

"I have, though the first two were a mere coincidence." Kurt told her. "But I did go to the New Year's Eve show on purpose."

"Was that to see his performance or to find out if his boyfriend would be there?"

"Does it really matter?"

"If you went to see Blaine perform and just so happened to see his boyfriend is one thing. Going with the specific purpose of finding out who your ex-husband is dating is another." While she spoke, Quinn noticed Rachel looking at her, and gave a reassuring nod that everything was alright. "So, what was it?"

"It was a bit of both if I'm being honest. Little did I ever imagine, Blaine would've hooked up with someone like Sebastian, but I really shouldn't be surprised especially after being told he'd been in the city all along."

"Just because Sebastian lived here, doesn't mean anything."

"Come now Quinn, we all know Sebastian has wanted Blaine since he met him. I just never expected Blaine to lower his standards. But, once a cheater always a cheater, right?" It took every bit of control Quinn had in that moment not to snap at what Kurt said not only about Blaine but about Sebastian. When Kurt looked at her he could tell she wasn't happy about what he said. "Please don't tell me you support that dysfunctional relationship too."

"What's dysfunctional about two people who care and love about one another?" Quinn replied causing Kurt to laugh. "Nothing I said was funny Kurt."

"If you honestly believe those two love one another, your view is as skewed as Rachel's."

"Ever think yours is the view that is skewed since everyone sees the same thing and that you're having issues accepting it because Blaine is your ex?"

"Nonsense."

"Fine, that's your opinion. Just know, I don't agree and no one else does either." Kurt looked at her as she spoke as he was a little taken back by what she was saying. "I mean it Kurt, the rest of us don't have an issue with it as it's clear Sebastian makes Blaine happy."

"He's going to hurt him."

"And you didn't?" Quinn replied before taking another sip. "Blaine became a shell of a person during your marriage and now, he's found himself again. I think it's time you stop blaming everything that went wrong on Blaine and start looking at what you might've done wrong."

"Blaine cheated on me."

"From what I was told, he didn't. He didn't see Sebastian till after your divorce was final. And as the guys put it, the smile Sebastian's been sporting since they've been together would've been impossible to ignore."

"Fine, if he wasn't cheating on me with the meerkat it was someone else."

"Clearly, you're never going to believe that Blaine didn't cheat. But I stand by what I said in that you should start looking at yourself because marriages don't often fall apart based on one person alone."
