Chapter 15

TRI-NI-SETTE SKY BARRIER, ANOTHER DIMENSION

Tsuna moaned as he felt someone shaking him.

"Tsuna!"

"Yuni~leave Tsunayoshi be, see, he is already waking up." At this Tsuna snap open his eyes and gasped, "Yuni-can, Byakuran-kun?!" For a second he felt relieved, but surprised he wasn't as happy he thought he should have feel. Shaking off those feelings and he looked them over, "You grown..."

"It has been 5 years, Tsuna," Yuni softly smiled at the boy.

"Whereas you seemed to be the same scrawny kid~" Tsuna groaned at Byakuran crazy grin.

"Byakuran!" Yuni reprimanded.

Tsuna looked around and notice they were inside the multicolored orb and could barely see what is outside of it. He paled when he remembered the last scene he saw, "Hieee! Reborn's going to toture me like crazy for being easily captured!"

"Or maybe you did change after all," Yuni frowned which Tsuna flinched at this, remembering that while he kept his bad luck when he met the two skies, they had not met his Dame self that at least Reborn saw whenever he trained him. Now his fear of them not liking his true dame self...

"Oh! You seen Reborn, I was worried for a while. How is my sun Arcobaleno?" Yuni squealed excitedly.

"Arcobaleno...oh you guys wear pacifiers? Are you all babies or something?" Tsuna asked rather in a hurry to not go back on the last topic, "Since I seen Bermuda from the Vendice guards with a clear pacifier and..." he stared at Yuni shocked face.

"I see..." Yuni gripped her dress before brighten up, "Its true we in Arcobaleno get to wear the pacifier. It is because of our flames and for you two, you get 7 rings each."

"Rings?" Tsuna echoed and looked at Byakuran for an explanation.

Byakuran open his mouth grinning before closing it. He frowned realizing about Tsuna's dangerous ignorance. Its as if someone purposely didn't want him to know...

Yuni believing Byakuran didn't know how to explain said, "Oh yes we all have guardians who guards us and we keep them sane and stuff," Yuni explained, "It is part of the Tri-ni-sette to ease the burden."

"But I don't..." Tsuna trailed off.

"Don't be silly, how else you able to returned your old self if you had not gather your guardians~" Yuni waved off Tsuna's response. Tsuna then remembered she forgets she seen that in her visions and they don't know it since it didn't happen yet.

"Who are they~?" Byakuran looked eagerly at a confused Tsuna.

"Oh Tsuna being so shy," Yuni turned to Byakuran, "there was a reason for what you called my moment of madness."

"Oh when is that my dear Yuni?" Byakuran smirked at the Sky Arcobaleno.

"I guided the Decimo's guardians to him, so when the time comes they swear their allegiance to Tsuna!" Yuni nodding to herself rather proud of herself.

"Oh how wonderful," Byakuran clapped and somehow conjured a small bag of marshmallows.

"...Yuni, Byakuran," Tsuna's bangs covered his eyes, "that sounds rather manipulative of you, normally I will think is hilarious, but do you have any idea what they suffered?"

They shivered at Tsuna's tone, knowing that is rare to see him upset about anything, "Its what the mafia does Tsuna," Yuni tried to soothe Tsuna, but he could almost hear the condensinding tone of you are a civilian.

He then sighs realizing he cannot enforce his beliefs to them, but, "Doesn't mean I will do it."

"Mou, but that is why we like you as a civilian~" Byakuran grinned maniacally.

"Then you are unaware on what I swore to Reborn," Tsuna's eyes glowed in resolve trying to remind them of their own resolves, "To protect those who are precious to me, I will become Vongola Decimo."

Its too late to save you from the mafia then...Yuni and Byakuran looked away as such resolve and for some reason felt guilty for something else.

"Oh so the Sky trio are reunited again," Reynardo drawled, but Tsuna saw a hint of desperation in his eyes. Reynardo came to visit the sky trio after they lapse into silence for half hour.

"Now that you have the complete set, what crazy thing you will do this time?" Yuni hissed, which Tsuna flinched by her harshness. Reynardo barely hid his confusion, only seen by Tsuna. Reynardo quickly backtracked before the other two skies notice by smirking in response.

"Why we never killed you when we had the chance, is beyond me," jeered Yuni.

"Well, the Vongola was in a delicate state, Yuni," Byakuran grinned, but his usual closed eyes open in small purple slits, "besides Vongola needs Tsunayoshi and if it falls, so will the world. Kawahira told us to wait until he returns."

Tsuna ignored the strange implications that Byakuran slipped out without sounding mean and asked, "You knew I would return?"

"Of course, you are our precious fellow sky," smiled Yuni. Tsuna started to feel more uneasy even if he knows Yuni isn't being mean, but...

"Is that all he is to you?" Tsuna looked up at Reynardo feeling...touched. Byakuran and Yuni frowned. Reynardo looked very furious, "Whatever, soon my master will come to get what he wants."

Tsuna only stared Reynardo, wondering why he wants to help this person who hurt his friends so badly. Yet Tsuna feels the older boy is trying to hint something. Something that will help them. It just doesn't add up.

"Your mask is slipping, Rey-Rey," Tsuna softly said.

Reynardo froze and paled, "Sh-shut up!"

"With only being in contact with the mafia for so long and partially blocking you feelings, people probably forgets what are they truly fighting for. I guess is too late for me to make amends, neh?"
"– chan, you can't give up! What about your little brothers! You never forgot, maybe got a little lost, but you must keep trying!" Tsuna desperately shouted at the older girl who was the only company since he was spirited away from one said brother.
"Silly boy, I am in burrowed time, the minute you return, I will be gone," the girl smiled sadly at Tsuna, "but when you get out can you find my idiot brothers so they wouldn't get ensnarled by that old man?"
"I promise," Tsuna's eyes glowed in conviction. The girl smiled proudly, "I see the training to summon your flames are showing something even if you can't manifest your flames again, not yet anyways."
The girl ruffled his hair as she went on, "I'll pray though for one day you find people who will not use you and only care for your happiness, just as you truly wish for theirs."

"Tsuna!" Yuni shook him. Tsuna blinked and notice Reynardo already left during his blackout.

Byakuran stared at Tsuna curiously and somewhat betrayed, "Tsunayoshi, why are you defending someone like him of all people." Byakuran squashed the little voice in his head that whispered how hypocritical of him.

"What do you mean?" Tsuna feeling a little threaten at Yuni and Byakuran almost accusing stares.

Byakuran suddenly took a step back, pulling Yuni with him when he saw Tsuna's hurt look, "I heard you been trying to remember things."

"Remember? You lost your memory Tsuna? About us?" Yuni looked hurt.

"W-well, no I mean yes, maybe, is just when I returned to Okaa-san as a five year old I been recovering some of the memories. During which I been flickering about to 10 years old and here we are." Tsuna explained.

It felt like days passed, but Byakuran assured them it only been hours.

Tsuna bored asked them, "So you guys have any idea to get out of here, yet?"

"You could try to seal away the Tri-ni-sette powers," Checkerface appeared with his top hat and his black and white checkered pattern clothes.

"Hm~why would be? Is it not dangerous to be here?" Byakuran asked starting to feel annoyed or withdrawal from not getting his marshmallows.

"Only those invited by me and my assistant are allowed," Checkerface explained, but the trio narrowed their eyes at him.

"Checkerface, you didn't answer our first question," Yuni pointed out.

"Ah yes, this Tri-ni-sette Sky Barrier will only disappear when someone inside who is no longer recognized by by the Tri-ni-sette." Tsuna felt foreboding over this and felt like he is missing something or is it Checkerface?

"How did you get in here?" Tsuna asked.

"Well I am the Tri-ni-sette Administrator, I can get into anywhere," Checkerface said as he righted his mask, not understanding the question.

"Then why couldn't you warn us, or help them escape?"

"I have my reasons Tsunayoshi," Tsuna didn't like how his intuition went unnaturally silent as he saw Checkerface eyeing him strangely. Before Tsuna could ask him, Yuni pulled him excitedly to Byakuran to hold hands.

"Ok Byakuran you can begin!" she grins at the Mare boss.

"The sea full of opportunities, drowns those who try to destroys," Byakuran begins to chant.
"The Rainbow guides, sacrificing its light," Yuni was next.
"The clam goes through time, protecting its passengers," back of his mind Tsuna is surprised to have remembered the unleashing the Tri-ni-sette aspect that is intertwine deeply with their life flames. The Tri-ni-sette Sky Barrier flickered for a second.

GESSO BASE, ITALY

"You all are pathetic," Xanxus growled as he glared everyone in the room.

Seven people were meeting in one of Gesso's underground private rooms. They had been planning for hours after Tsuna's capture. Now they just need who will go in the other dimension to save the sky trio especially now they have the Dimensional Transporter ready to for the rescue mission. Lal was at the center for experience and knowledge and her glare also helped. She is also representing CEDEF. Next to her is Fon representing the Arcobaleno as the other members were cooling off or training. Then is Hayato Gokudera ignoring the fact he is the youngest in the room sat scowling at Xanxus, but knows in order to save his precious Juudaime, he cannot antagonize these people. Squalo was next to him to keep on eye on Xanxus in case he lets his temper get away from him, who in fact in sitting on a throne like chair holding a glass of wine. Next to Squalo and Xanxus is the Gesso Cloud Guardian Kikyo who looked nonchalant representing Gesso famiglia along with Shoichi.

"Just so you know, we are not getting help from Vongola." Xanxus said with such finality, no one contradicted him. Though Lal and Shoichi knew why. The Vongola Elders might prohibit them or interfere with the rescue of the true heir who is not in their control in especially they were no help when one by one Xanxus lost his brothers to death. The elders did nothing.

"Furthermore I have to stay with the CEDEF since there is still weak enough to be attacked again, but I will let Colonnello joined with the rest of the Arcobaleno with the rescue mission." Lal mentally groaned at the slow recovery and yet to know who in the world attacked them.

Fon nodded and put in calmly, "We will serve as back up since we may be somewhat influenced by the other Dimension, but we are strong enough to support at least." There is no way I am staying out of the rescue itself! I must redeem myself and rescue Mistress Yuni, Fon calmly slid his fists within the other arms's sleeve.

"Well speaking of influence, Spanner and the other technicians found that the Mare ring users cannot enter there for reasons we will not disclose," Shoichi replied, The mare ring users can turned insane, in exception of Shiro-chan, and instead of dreaming of their parallel lives they will be affected when they are awake as well, Shoichimentally frowned. It took a while to calm the other guardians and this is what Shoichi calmed them with.

"Instead we will man the communication room, similar to what we did earlier," finish off Kikyo. He glanced at Shoichi who suddenly gripped his stomach.

"Geez kid, you really should have that checked," Lal reprimanded Shoichi.

Shoichi's glasses gleamed as he replied, "Heh, its just a side effect." Lal glanced to Kikyo who betrayed anything, but smiling in boredom.

"Varia what would you be up to then?" Lal asked at Squalo, knowing asking Xanxus is like talking to a large proud mountain and telling it to move.

"VOI! DISTRACT VONGOLA OF COURSE!" Squalo shouted before ducking Xanxus' empty wine glass.

"Watch it you two!" Gokudera scowled as the wine glass whizzed over his head. Barely curbing his temper, Gokudera went on, but toward the everyone in the meeting table, "We who are no longer bound by that guy wish to be part of the main rescue team. We already pledge our flames and decided to follow Juudaime anywhere. As we speak, the others are training to make up our experience."

"Good," nodded Lal.

"Then we shall be your back up and will join you into the other dimension," Fon restated calmly with his hands still within his sleeves. Hayato bowed his head gratefully toward the Storm Arcobaleno.

"Well meeting adjourned, now get out you maggots!"

"Kufufufu, Is that all you go– " Mukuro was interrupted. He scowled when Hibari almost broke his trident when his tonfas hit near an awkward angle that will cause damage.

"Pineapple, you been slacking off," smirked Hibari. Both cloud and mist flame users became blurs of tonfas and trident leaving wavering vines of darkness and destruction in their paths. Unfortunately their training room could not handle the strain and they proceeded to let their fight guide them around the underground training complex.

"COME ON, CHROME-CHAN! GIVE YOU EXTREME WORSE!" taunted Ryohei to the shy mist user.

Chrome nodded and began to quickly twirled her trident as she build up her mist flames. Once she felt it was enough, she slammed the base into the ground, causing a large crack snaking its way toward Ryohei. Horrid beings and opponents appeared from it, surrounding the sun flame user.

"EXTREME!" Ryohei punched real-but-not-real opponents with his sun flamed fists. Just as Chrome reached her peak of her power, it shattered when their training room wall exploded.

"OI! THAT IS NOT EXTREME! GET YOUR OWN EXTREME TRAINING ROOM!" Ryohei complained. But the two fighters ignored Ryohei and Chrome and kept fighting toward other training areas.

"Agh! Why am I stuck with babysitting with you three?" Zakuro, Gesso storm guardian complained as two children behind him bickered.

"Bluebell wants Bubu!" the older girl pulled the stuffed animal from Daisy. Daisy in the other hand was reaching his limit.

"Bubu is mine! You already have a lot of toys!"

"So?! Bluebell is down here and her toys are all the way up there!"

"Shut up!" Zakuro yelled at them, "Why can't you be like Ghostie who is all nice and qui– " The trio looked at around the corridor and notice the youngest Gesso guardian missing.

"Ah shi– " Zakuro began, but Daisy interrupted.

"Verde is in the building somewhere," Daisy tighten his hold of Bubu in worry. Bluebell pouted realizing Daisy got hold of his stuffed animal in a tight hold, away from her. That is until Daisy's words processed.

"..."

"..."

The trio were silent for a long minute. Zakuro grab hold of the two children's wrists and practically flew through the corridors in search of Ghostie.

"Awesome! You're pure lightning!" Lambo gushed at the shy Ghostie. Earlier when walking behind the bikering guardians, Ghostie notice there was another very young child in his home. He was rather curious at the child who seems similar to his age.

"I am the great Lambo-sama!" the little black large afro child introduced himself.

"Ghostie," responded Ghostie shyly.

"Well the great Lambo-sama thought he will find more subordinates to help him save Tsuna-nii, but," Lambo whispered loudly at Ghostie, "Lambo-sama decided we should be partners! The Awesome Ghostie!" Ghostie blushed somehow and cocked his head confused, but rather touched by the sentiment. Most especially knows the feeling of wanting to save a kidnapped older brother.

"As partners and friends, the great Lambo-sama and the awesome Ghostie shall eat candy in celebration," he took out a couple of candies from his afro before offering some to a reluctant Ghostie. Ghostie took a bite of the chocolate bar and froze.

"Awesome Ghostie? Ghostie?"

"Damn it Reborn!" Skull ducked another overpowered shot from Reborn, "You worse than usual!"

"Need stress reliever," Reborn said as-matter-in-fact.

Then the training room door slide opened, "Whoa Reborn! If you wanted to spar, you could've asked me! I been itching to fight since forever!" Colonnello whistled at the damaged room and barely glanced at the twitching Skull.

"Oh? You mean an excuse to escape paperwork?" Reborn drawled, now a little calmer.

"You know it!" grinned Colonnello.

By silent command, Leon transformed into a special green Leon rifle.

"Oh yeah!" Colonnello looked bloodthirsty pleased to able to go all out without repercussions. After all Reborn is not the only one feel with regrets that needs to be vent out. Falco flew in without trouble and dropped a rifle at Colonnello's out stretched hand.

They position themselves from across the training room in silence without moving an inch. The only sound was made by Skull crawling out from the room. When the training room shook from distant shouts and crashes, the two Arcobaleno took it as cue to begin fighting. It was a massacre of three more training rooms.

Verde eyed Viper suspiciously. In turn she crossed her arms and smirked at him.

"What?" Verde tried to act detached.

"Nothing," her smirk went bigger. Verde's glasses gleamed in annoyance.

"So, are you hiding from the Gesso especially since you are in their home turf?" Viper casually asked.

"No."

"Sure," Viper rolled her eyes, but gave out sadistic glee that kind of reminds Verde from Reborn. Guess having in contact with the hitman rubbed on her or maybe is the Varia..?

"Oh~ if it isn't the royalty of science! The prince always wanted to meet you Verde, shishishishishishishi," Bel laughed.

"What do you want kid?"

"Shishsishishishishi, for this once, the prince will forgive your insolence. But then why ever will the prince talk to you?"

"Cute, you have a fan," Viper whispered to Verde. In the other hand, Verde mentally groaned as he can sense Viper's vibes of blackmail material alert.

"The prince feels the Varia is in need to become the best and by best is by complete," Bel explained as he twirled his knives with his fingers, "the prince wishes to commission a cloud guardian for the Varia, someone worthy of the prince's presence."

The training doors opened. "False prince, its you who is not worthy," Flan put in. He complained in a deadpanned as Bel threw knives at Flan's large hat.

"Whatever false prince. Scar face said its time to go home, the boring meeting is over."

As the Varia heard news from Flan, Verde decided is time for him to leave Viper's presence before something else happened.

He spoke too soon.

Just as he entered the corridor, the doors of the training room remain open, short circuiting for some reason. Suddenly he was flung toward the wall with strong lighting flames flickering around him.

"What– ?" Verde's glasses were a skewed and notice the Bovino child rushing toward what he sense a fast lightning flash that hit him.

"Pfft– hahahahahaha!" Viper laughed after taking a picture of a shock Verde. Oh the irony! she thought.

"Remember what the prince said," Bel commented ignoring Verde's awkward moment.

"Varia home we go, yay." Flan followed his master and Bel toward the exiting elevator around the corner.

"Freaking Karma...if I believe in that stuff anyways," muttered Verde and was grateful when Keiman, his alligator partner helped him up after coming up from a hole in the wall made by yours truly.

Takeshi breath deeply in as he slowly practice his sword moves that Squalo showed him before leaving for the meeting. He ignored the far corner of his training room he was given by the Gesso famiglia that laid a depressed Levi.

Levi, the lightning guardian was upset at not able to join his precious boss in an important meeting. He just found the most quietest room to sulk and not see anyone. Fortunately, Takeshi is quiet only the sword cutting through the air or his flames making noise. At least its quiet...

The rain flame user went back to starting position again as his thoughts wondered. Don't worry Tsu-kun, we will save you! Takeshi frowned as he closed his eyes and reach out his senses. He didn't worry about the sudden exploded wall behind him. He knows Hibari and Mukuro will just pass his room and go destroy somewhere else. He mentally laughed at their antics, glad that some things never change.

Which cannot be said for the knocked out Levi by the debris hitting his head. This is how Lussaria saw when he poked his head from the hole and tutted at the sprawled out form of Levi.

"Oh, my poor darling~ sleeping now is not good, boss said is time to go on another fun mission~!" Lussaria dragged Levi by his leg and left the room.

Takeshi slowly release his breath. Calm as the rain, Takeshi...

Hibari and Mukuro kept on fighting and crashed into another training room not caring about the strange sensation of fighting upside down.

Torikabuto thought for a second how Kikyo will bang his head realizing the damage these two caused, but shrugged it off. Now having an excuse to attack someone willingly. After all they are interfering with his personally training, "I foresee this fight..." Torikabuto began to manipulate reality to show the two fighters their worst fears. Unfortunately it only infuriated them more. Then again that too wouldn't matter.

"CHAOS SHOT!" Reborn shots hit the three fighters in the training room and Colonnello's rifle, " I win," Reborn looking smug.

"Aw, Reborn!" Colonnello pouted dramatically, "1213 to 611, and still winning?" Then Colonnello noticed the unconscious bodies of Torikabuto, Mukuro, and Hibari.

"Tch, we need a healer for these clowns, since is almost time for us to go," scowled Reborn.

"Kora, don't you have sun flames?" Colonnello asked Reborn in disbelief.

Reborn only responded, "I am a hitman not Shamal."

"Alright you crazy maggots!" Lal began, but was interrupted.

"Who put you in charge?!" Zakuro growled at the woman.

She only glared at him with the one she gives to unruly new recruits. He scowled, but only muttered profanities.

"In case you are unaware, the Varia left on important mission that will buy us time and the CEDEF will be their back up," she looked at everyone in one of the lab rooms that hold the Dimensional Transporter. She went on, "As for the rest of you lot, Gesso will stay for communication duty between the groups and help guide you if you get into unknown trouble. The Arcobaleno who are not in duty will be back up for the main team which will consist of those who swore loyalty to the third captured sky. Keep an eye out at all times and if you faced with something weird, communicate it to the Gesso. Now I will not repeat this again, You better save our skies or else. " Once she finished her speech, she left the room. Colonnello grinned at Lal, which she punch him in response.

The Mare guardians began to leave, except for one.

"Hurry up you red head!" Zakuro shouted behind him.

"J-just a minute!" Shoichi responded. He stood at the back of the assembled Rescue team, while the Gesso left the room to the control room. Shoichi eyed his pill case. When he looked up, his eyes locked to Kikyo's eyes.

Kikyo nodded and replied, "Don't take too long."

As for the Arcobaleno and Tsunayoshi's new famiglia (which Reborn snickered privately at the thought of his student's expression when he finds out), they were silent as one checked for their partners and the other checked their weapons and temporary flame rings and special headsets that Spanner and Giannini made for them.

"Sempai, what's up with the bag?" Takeshi looked at a rather strange large backpack Ryohei was carrying. He can tell it looked heavy, but the sun flame user was not deterred.

Ryohei grinned, "LITTLE LAMBO EXTREMELY GAVE IT TO ME! HE EXTREMELY SAID IS FULL OF EXTREME EXPLOSIVES!"

"Haha, that is great, we need all the help we can get," Takeshi smiled as he fingered his sheath that hold his father's sword, Shigure Kintoki.

Everyone then hold their breath as the machine whirled into life. Then the portal opened.

Wait for us, we're coming!

~Special: REYNARDO'S PAST: ITALY~

"Mother? Father?" coughed a little boy was covered in soot, searching the ruins of his small home in the outskirts Italy.

Last thing he remembered was his parents meet up with some old man (or more like spy on). For some reason he doesn't remember what he saw, but his parents were panicked by it. They quickly told him pack up because they are going to a "safe house." Suddenly in the middle of packing, his parents went rigid. His parents summon some flames that it pained them and enveloped the little boy just as an explosion filled his vision.

Now when he woke up and stared at the burned remains of his parents, the boy felt numb wondering how he survive the explosion.

"DANG IT! THAY SHOULDVA CALL ME!" The boy turned dead eyed at the sudden appearance of the girl. He turned his head on its side staring at the red haired girl with weird red eyes.

"Oy, yah with tham right?" the girl signaled with her head at the boy's dead parents. At this nonchalant attitude, the boy snap out of his stupor.

"Hey! I just lost my parents, you shouldn't talk like that you wannabe punk chick!"

"SHUT UP! YAH DON'T SOUND LIKE YAH CARE, YAH PITY CASE!" She yelled back and bobbed the boy's head.

They glared at each other, until the girl sighed and pulled the back collar of the boy's shirt, "Lets get outta here," she muttered and glared at the ruins and her hand guiding a swirled of black and red energy with a circulating line of strange letters or characters of a forgotten language twirled the burnt down area. It was pulled up and turned upside down buried everything leaving just turned dirt. It was as if the house was never there.. The boy gapped at her compass like red eyes.

"What? Nevah see earth flames befah?" the older girl smirked in amusement at his annoyed look.

"Nevah got yah name kid," the girl asked the boy as they walked (he was dragged) through a weird dimensional portal.

"Not telling!" the boy growled. The girl just laughed loudly as she gave him a noogie.

"Always wanted a troublemakin' brotha! Since all me got is a littl' angel boy," the girl said fondly, "now me got two. The name's Mami, Mami Kozato," she glanced down at the boy, who didn't look impressed.

At this the girl gave him a bitter smile, "Thay didn't explain yah much had thay?"

"Explain what?"

"Wouldn't you like to know," the boy was taken back by her change of grammar, almost proper-like. She only gave him an empty smile.

"Hohohoho, Miss Kozato! I see you brought a new recruit!" A silly looking man widely smiled at them. The boy stepped back behind Mami. She scowled in response, "No freakin' way! Me not letting 'im in yah crazy plans!"

"Are you sure that is safe? What about my master? Or better yet what if he got hold of him," the silly looking man's smile turned sharp. The boy clutched on the girl's sleeve.

The girl sighed, "Look here brat, me givin' yah a choice," she looked at the scared boy, "Me can leave yah and yah forget ever'thing yah saw and live normah or," she stared seriously at the boy, "or you can join us and solve the mystery your parents tried to uncover and the Vongola's bloody secrets."

The boy's widen at the first part and looked down. Sure the girl had a strange habit of switching her accent of normal and weird.

"You don't have to decide right now..." began the man.

"No I have nothing out there, I will help. I will do it in their memory and avenge them!" The man put on his gloves and his silly smile was back on his face.

"Welcome to the club brat!" smirked the girl, but looked worried.

"Don't call me that! The name's Reynardo, Reynardo Nightingale!"

"Whatevah Rey-Rey," smirked the girl with the man laughing away.

Reynardo was 12 years old walking with Mami after breaking in CEDEF to get info.

"When can I meet Wonomichi's master?" whined Reynardo.

"Yah can't, is for yah own good," growled Mami feeling annoyed by the same question asked almost everyday now.

"Fine!" scowled Reynardo, "but you sure its someone who is inside Vongola who killed the heir years ago?"

"Three heirs," Mami numbly responded.

"What? When was this? Isn't the plan to put an heir into the boss' seat?" Reynardo turned to her in worry.

"Well...the CEDEF leader is getting antsy and within good reason..." Mami looked stoic face trailing off.

"How so? You haven't had been in contact with the Vongola Lion?" Reynardo glared suspiciously, "didn't he sent assassins to murder your whole family," she looked at him, "except your brother," he backtracked rolling his eyes. He cannot forget how she always talk about the energetic brother who sees Mami as the best thing since sliced bread, or so she tells him.

"Turns out it was all a lie and I don't know what– " she remembered Reynardo was there, so demanded, "now go back to Wonomichi!"

"Why?" Reynardo stared suspiciously at the older girl.

"Just go," she went on ahead trusting Reynardo to obey.

"What is going on?" muttered Reynardo and decided to stand there sulk for a while. After a couple of minutes, he went to walk toward a near the dimensional portal Wonomichi leaves open that only responds to him and Mami, "Now where is that portal?" He searched for the tell-tell signs for any broken black and white squares.

"Lost, little Nightingale?" a rather familiar old voice asked in cold amusement. A sudden memory came to him of his parents and himself running toward the house...he shook his head. He stared at the old man holding a cane who had his head covered in bandages, "Who..?" then everything turned black.

"DAMN-DAMN-DAMN-DAMN!" cursed Mami as she tried to semi-carry a half-conscious Reynardo. She worried after finishing up her personal spying/infiltration mission when Wonomichi with an uncharacteristic frown told her Reynardo didn't show up. Only to see him tripped out of the portal in Wonomichi's chambers.

"Nice vocab, Mami~" Reynardo smiled dizzily.

"He caught yah didn't he?!" Mami.

"Never guess who the old kook found this yesterday~" Reynardo lazily responded grinning as he leaned to Mami's shoulder.

"Oh really who?" she sounded rather worried.

"A Giotto-look-alike," grinned at her, but he barely saw her frown behind her sunglasses and realized her disguise, "you went on a mission? Without me?" She froze suddenly and Reynardo fell, losing his balance.

"Did he do or say anything else?" Mami kneeled down and grab hold of his shoulders. She blinked though when suddenly Reynardo disappeared from her sight.

"Oh, boy," Reynardo blinked at a frowning Wonomichi who eyed him even if he had his eyes closed, "The flame seal we put on you is badly damage."

"What?!" Reynardo and Mami yelled.

"Shh! Master might come by any minute with them." Reynardo stared confused at Wonomichi giving Mami a pointed look.

"I can't believe they are his sacrificial lambs, even if they volunteer. But I didn't know he found the third one," Reynardo felt he was missing something by the dreaded look Mami wore.

"He is just a child," Wonomichi looking guilty with Mami feeling wary. Trying to distract her, Wonomichi waved his hands around Reynardo trying to fix the seal, "What did that man tell you Reynardo?"

"Are you going to let me in on your plans?" he felt annoyed that he only a messenger boy for these people and cannot even be seen by anyone. Oh the old man told him things, but if they don't answer his questions, nor will he.

"Fine," Reynardo replied at their silence. He stood up and began to walk away.

"Rey-Rey, don't be like that..."

"I'm tired, just leave me alone," he snapped and left. Should've done what he said, for all I know they are the suspicious ones. One thing is true, if they can't do it, I will do it myself, he thought.

How wrong I was.
I even regret it now as the years went by since you, Mami, sacrificed your life along with that child who was the most innocent of them all.
Now the story repeats once and I still don't trust Wonomichi and especially that bandaged man.
Funny how many things went wrong, all because that unlimited power.
Now that they are here, I wonder, have I become like them?

A/N: If you were confused about the Vongola Elders sorry about that, but they are going to be in a sense in the sequel, so I was just giving you a cameo what Tsuna is going to deal with in the future. As for the adult Tsuna question; no he wasn't an adult. I tried to give a hint in this chapter, but more will be explained, it will be one of the last large flashbacks in the later chapters. Just as a heads up Toward the True Sky will go in a hiatus for almost two months, again. I will be trying to finish up my other KHR story since I already type two more chapters and I already have an ending in mind(I still need to correct for any errors).
