"For I have got another girl, another girl who will love me till the end. Through thick and thin, she will always be my friend." Another Girl, the Beatles. -Lizwin-
Another Girl, 2:08
"You just don't get it!" Mallory Blake shrieks at him. "She… god, Ed… she's freaking perfect for you."
"Who?" he asks, jamming a hand in his already messed-up black hair.
Mallory sighs, staring wistfully at her wedding dress.
"Edwin. It's our rehearsal dinner. We would be getting married tomorrow."
"Would be?"
"I can't marry you if you love another girl."
"There's not another woman."
"I'm the other woman. Ed, did you ever stop loving her?"
"Who?"
"Lizzie!" Mallory snaps.
He pulls at his tie. "I dunno. I… can't not love her."
"So, I'm your scapegoat."
Ed sighs. "I'm sorry, Mallory. I never meant for it to go this far. I thought I'd have gotten over her before ever getting to this point."
"But you haven't. So, I'm sorry too, Edwin. I'll split the costs with you. Tell your dad and step-mom I'm sorry, but this is the choice I have to make."
Edwin kisses her forehead softly. "I don't regret spending time with you, but I'll never forgive myself for hurting you."
"I'd never forgive myself if I let this continue. I'll always love you. Just not the way she does."
She sets the engagement ring in his palm before folding his fingers over it gently.
"Goodbye Ed."
