Chapter 5

"No! Stop!" Ivy screamed, sitting straight up in bed. Her blue skin and lekkus were bathed in sweat, as were the thin sheets on the cot in her cell. She looked around wildly, before drawing her knees up to her heaving chest, and began to cry softly. She thought she was safe here in the Jedi temple. She thought she could be raised here, learn the code, help others like her. Now she has killed, and been tortured, all in the same day. "I want my mom…" Someone she didn't even know she wanted. "Please…" She soon lost her voice to the sobs that wracked her body. She must escape to the Sith compound. They would take her in and protect her. Not harm her. She forced herself up, pain wracking her fried nerves. "Ow…"

She took a step toward the door, before collapsing to the floor. "Ivy!" She flinched at the sharp, clipped voice, yet it was only in her head. "You're pathetic! Use the force! Remove the barrier of good and bad in your mind and use it! That collar is nothing if you dont let be anything!" Ivy shuddered, curling up on the floor. "Pathetic. Maybe you arent the Sith'ari after all. Maybe we should leave you to rot." With that, the voice was gone, leaving her alone again. The door slid open, revealing the Twi'lek and the wookie again.

" Time to rise and shine sweety. Big day of sifting through your mind." She smiled, becoming more and more like the Twi'lek of her nightmares. The Wookie picked her up, almost gently, and began walking behind the Twi'lek. She managed to glance around during her walk, and found other Jedi imprisoned as well, Thrown in cells in various states of well being. A couple even looked dead. Ivy whimpered, burying her face in the Wookies fur. That could be her. She could be dead in her cell next. Laying there, rotting, no one to care about her. She was alone. And she would die if she didn't escape. She stirred in the wookies arms, causing him to grip her tighter. "No need to escape Ivy. You will see light if its the last thing I do." The Twi'lek smiled evilly, laughing quietly. "Whether its real light or heaven is up to you." She continued walking as Ivy withdrew into herself.

Ivys hand presses against the collar around her throat. Its cold metal was unyielding against her fingers. She tried to open herself up to the force, but it was the barest trickle, yet it was there. This brought a small smile to her face. It was enough. She grasped that barest trickle, and used it to disable the collar, but she left it on. The force slammed back into her like a wave, causing her to suck in a breath and shut her eyes. The Twi'lek looked back at her, a frown on her lips. "Be careful, we might have damaged nerve endings with the shocking yesterday. We will have to change the torture today." They enter a room and shut the door behind them. The only thing in this room was a chair and a table. "Set her down and strap her in. Tight."

The wookie set her down, and strapped her in. "Now child, will you talk today?" She grabbed two knives off the table, spinning them idly while watching the silent Ivy. "No? Ok doll." She spins the knives once more, before driving them home in her lekku. At first, there was no pain, only shocked silence. Then, fireworks exploded in her skull. The pain was like anything she has ever felt before. A scream ripped itself from her throat, and she thrashed in her seat. Another scream mingled with hers, and 2 wet snaps sounded in the midst of her agony. Her vision clouded red, and all she heard was screams, and felt the wet splashes of blood on her cheeks. By the time she finally collapsed and ripped the knives out of her lekku, She was outside the temple. Her force collar was gone, and all she felt was the ringing deaths of the rogue Jedi in the temple. She cried softly, her lekkus still on fire. They were easily the most sensitive part of her body. "Please forgive me… Please…" She struggled to stand, to make it anywhere other than the temple, a safe place anywhere other than here, but she couldn't get her feet to work. Her vision swam dangerously.

She managed to look up when she saw a pair of feet in her vision. They belonged to a man wearing a cloak. He bent down and picked her up gently, and thats when she felt it. The force flowed strongly through this man. "Quiet now Ivy, the Sith have come for their Savior. You have proven yourself worthy of our attention, but not our training. That is a test for another time. For now, rest." He began to walk away from the temple, and Ivy finally closed her eyes and succumbed to the darkness.
