Though I am surprise, I thought it was longer than two months since I last updated.
I put the summary below to help to anyone who were confused, hope it helps (and for myself) I purposely left some stuff out since it will be a surprise.

Summary: There are few who knows the powers of the Tri-Ni-Sette and when the true 3 skies appear at the same time, it becomes a race against time before someone waiting patiently to steal it. A power believed to give immortality, see possibilities of the future, or glimpse of time past.
Tsunayoshi Sawada, the true last heir of Vongola Famiglia (unbeknownst to the child himself) was called by the one who oversees the Tri-Ni-Sette power, fearing someone will able to get hold of it. The man calls the three skies, but his enemy sends someone who is cursed twice already to interfere. But alas for both the overseer and enemy, the earth took Tsuna away for five years. It wasn't without consequence.
Tsuna meets those who were meant to be his guardians, who also taught him to protect. Then the calling was given once more to the sky trio, though by kidnapped or by planning is yet to be confirmed. It does not change the fact to those who were touched by these skies will come to rescue them, but will they save them before they sealed their own fate with their lives? And whose side is the one send by the enemy of the Tri-Ni-Sette administrator?

Chapter 16

SOMEWHERE AROUND THE TRI-NI-SETTE SKY BARRIER, ANOTHER DIMENSION

Wonomichi waited for Reynardo return from whatever he went to.

For once he was glad to be left out from any Administrator duties of the Tri-Ni-Sette that Uncle Kawahira tend to give him all the time. He still doesn't like his uncle's idea of sealing the power. Of course an example of one was what happen 5 years ago and now that he fully understand the plan, he likes it even less.

He knows his uncle is a great...Earthling(?) as the man calls himself, and cares about the earth.

Wonomichi's doubts began when it was time to changing the Arcobaleno to a new generation which created the Vendice. He saw the power that was created within the previous sky Arcobaleno (who replaced Sapira by her "mysterious death," uncle wasn't the same since). The night flames may not be powerful compare to Uncle Kawahira power, but even he can see it becoming more stronger. Sadly his uncle is no longer at his prime else he would have defeated that old man who seeks for the power they oversee. Unfortunately because he is just an apprentice, his words means nothing.

Then he met Mami. Mami taught him that life, no matter how small it is, its still is precious. So they planned together to cover holes to Uncle Kawahira's plan and tried to find a different way that wouldn't consist sacrificial lambs. Then their nemesis got hold of Rey-Rey.

Best for tha one really knows whats goin' on be sacrifice, were her last words before she jumped dimensions with his help and took the youngest sky flame user of the trio. If only she had lived I would have trained her myself to be my apprentice, Wonomichi lamented (Uncle Kawahira claims his training is almost over, but he been saying that for a while now). But life is not that kind. At least he has little Rey-Rey to keep him grounded.

Hopefully his plan will work to save Rey-Rey from his double curse and Mami's last minute sacrifice would not be in vain. After all he will soon be facing the dire consequences if the plan fails.

I'm sorry uncle, I have to do the right thing...

"It is almost time~," Wonomichi mischievously grins at Reynardo when he arrived. Reynardo knowing him for so long, just rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah and your brilliant plan somehow involves me doing something that you yet to tell me to do."

"Hohoho," Wonomichi plays with his hat, "you are going to love it!" Wonomichi looks down at his hat on his hands still smiling to himself.

Reynardo looks away as he put his hands on his pockets to hide their shaking.

"How long you can hold up?" Wonomichi asked without looking up.

Reynardo scowls, "Just do your part and I will do mine. And please don't forget!"

"Don't worry Rey-Rey! I even wrote it on my arm just in case~" Wonomichi waved his marked arm with strange scribbles before disappearing.

Reynardo arrived at the clearing where it has began the ceremony of unleashing and sealing the Tri-Ni-Sette power.

Reynardo quickly hid away from Checkerface's sight as he glared at the Tri-Ni-Sette skies. The hate was more directed to himself as he felt his control of his body beginning to deteriorate like that day. It was only by seeing her "kidnap" the young boy, Reynardo stopped himself from stealing all the others' power. He paid dearly for that stunt. At least Checkerface acknowledge his "supposed alliance" and couldn't be attacked because of it. Well Master Wonomichi also took a hand on preventing his demise between the two powerful people's power struggle. Unfortunately, Reynardo decided to suppress his emotions and not get close to other people. After all he will have to betray them without his consent.

At one point he prayed dearly for someone to save him, but no one came. He began to lose hope, until he was face to face once more with the boy. The pure innocence he knows that will be destroyed by the mafia if he let him live. At the same time he knows Mami let the boy live for a reason. Reynardo knows the consequences of not trusting her.

He shook his head when he sees the white haired marshmallow idiot no longer bound to the Tri-Ni-Sette song, but only sustaining the Sky barrier. Now the power is being held only by the seer girl and the young boy. When Checkerface looks around, Reynardo hides behind a fixture that comes out of the ground. The masked man sighs and disappears after checking the sky trio.

That is when Reynardo winces as he feels the calling once more. Reynardo bites his bottom lip as he feels the agony of fighting the control that bandage man has over him. Dark flames starts to burst out of his body. I have to wait for.. Master Wonomichi's signal...so it ends at last...Reynardo whimpered in pain as he hold back his flames and the orders from the old bandage man.

Dizzy from the fighting in his interior, he remembers back when he was "Decimo," how he never gave missions to the true Vongola 10th Gen. Guardians. He cannot let them be involved in a mission that may kill them. Especially given by the Elders, who he knows they don't like the guardians independence at all. The less people they met, the better is to hide them. Of course with Master Wonomichi's help, clues were dropped and led them to potential allies. Better alive and hating him than died not meeting their true sky. Then again when Reynardo remembers how he "punished" them, but that was easy. After all he can be crueler, but he just couldn't do it fully.

The worse offender, the one who cause all this mess and made the Mafia ever so darker, especially Vongola was because of that old man who sometimes gives "advice" to the Vongola Elders who finalize the decisions of the Famiglia. All claiming its the least he can do just because he was there when Primo build Vongola. Yes its better than be hated and not let them be seen by that man.

"ONE DAY YOU POWER HUNGRY, DESTROYER OF PEOPLE'S LIVES TALBOT! ONE DAY YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES!" Reynardo yelled in pain as his flames exploded the whole area crashing into the Sky barrier.

SOMEWHERE AT THE EDGE OF THE OTHER DIMENSION

The Arcobalano and Tsuna's guardians stood in the middle of the deserted other dimension. All they see is swirling energy in a strange rainbow-like coloring.

"SO WE JUST EXTREMELY FOLLOW THIS EXTREME PATH?!" Ryohei yelled, breaking the silence. They all stared what they suspect is the ground and it was less colored, but narrowed. They were not going to experiment to see if whatever is outside of the "path" isn't a weird abyss or something.

Well most everyone anyways.

"Fascinating," Verde turns to Keiman, his partner and is given some vials. He tries to scoop up the strange material of the outer path with a vial, but it only ripple, unwilling to part its spot. Fon notices him and pulls him back. While Verde protested at being pulled away from an interesting phenomenon, Keiman faithfully follows his partner behind with the empty vials. Behind them, Hayato mutters, "Wonder if there are UMAs nearby."

"Haha, look! This spot makes you going boi– ng!" Takeshi laughed as he tried to take as step, but somehow jumps high. As if gravity had a lower hold on him at that area.

"Idiots we're not here on sightseeing," growled Reborn.

"Now, now, I believe is best if we check if we are going the right direction," Fon calmly stated. Reborn nodded.

"Hey Ryohei! Do you have the DPS?" Reborn asks.

"Department of Public Safety?" Colonnello asked confused.

Reborn rolled his eyes, "Idiot."

"Dimensional Point System," Verde responded condescending at a scowling Colonnello, "since we are in a strange dimension, it uses the information supplied from the box of your previous boss. Which begs to question, where did he came by it or stole it from especially with that design."

"Probably is what got him killed," Skull muttered. He yelped when Colonnello gave a war cry and attacked him.

"Barbarians," Verde muttered as his glasses gleamed.

Their fight was interrupted by the guardians' outburst.

"You stupid cow! I told you to stay back at base!" Hayato pulled out Lambo from the bag that Ryohei was carrying. Hayato was just looking for the device, but found the Bovino child instead.

"Haha! Sempai, the bag sure caused an explosion," they looked at Hayato exploded at Lambo for ignoring their orders of the child staying back.

"So?! Lambo-sama is not the only one who sneaked in!"

"Oh really? Who else?" Takeshi asked.

Lambo stick his tongue out, "Lambo-sama will not sell him out!"

Farther back, a lone person cursed at being separated with the Rescue team when he sneaked behind them into the portal. Somehow when he arrived the other dimension, his communication device stated the group was far off ahead.

The person sighed. Even though he doesn't have much fighting power except that power, he still feels reluctant to use it. He then looks at his medication that cancels out the seal he placed on himself from letting his "other flames" damage his body further. Too bad he discovered too late to save himself from the stomach pains. But for his boss...his best friend who didn't care about his accursed power, he will take the pain when is time.

"Just out of curiosity," Verde began.

"Ha! When aren't you curious?" Skull asked loudly. He then screamed in pain when Colonnello and Reborn kicked him for interrupting. Luckily his partner, Oodako was "swimming" by the road everyone was walking and caught him before he fell into the unknown abyss. Skull sniffed, "You are the only here who cares about me, never leave me buddy!"

"Why did you join that Decimo child?" Verde asked as everyone proceeded to ignore Skull's cries.

"You better not be talking about Juudaime," Hayato growled.

"Maa, maa, I bet Verde meant that flame stealer guy," Takeshi patted Hayato's shoulder. Hayato pushed him away.

"Of course," drawled Verde, "wait, what do you mean flame stealer? The rumors are true?" He looks at Reborn.

"I never got that report Verde," Reborn's fingers itched to shot Verde.

"Whatever you mean? I already gave my report," drawled Verde then turned to the guardians, "you never answer my question."

"WHICH EXTREME QUESTION?!"

"Both," Verde responded. Reborn was also curious how some of them decide to leave Japan or their civilian lives.

"He has the ability to steal flames and somehow took Juudaime's a while back. Somehow he used them to solidify his candidate position," Hayato robotically responded.

"Oh how does it work? How did it looked like?" Verde took out his notebook from Keiman's snout.

Chrome saw Hayato being tight lip about it when she gasped, "Oh!"

"What is wrong Chrome-chan?" Mukuro looked at his cousin.

"Mukuro-sama, didn't that guy had similar flames as the Vendice?"

Mukuro blinked then narrowed his eyes, "Yes it is similar to their flames..."

"Maybe he works with the Vendice? Which is why he wasn't caught by them yet."

Verde sighed as he realize the conversation began to change into speculations he didn't care to know of, "How about why you join 'that guy' in the first place?"

The guardians look at each other.

"Pshaw! Lambo-sama never like the guy when he visited the Bovino mansion. He complained a lot and said blah, blah, destroy, blah, blah, die, blah, blah elders or something," boasted Lambo. Some looked away from the child, remembering Bovino's recent demise.

"Anyway, ignoring the dumb cow!" Hayato awkwardly coughed and turned to Verde, "I remember your boss coming to recruit me to Vongola, but something else convinced me."

Hayato then frowned, "Honestly I don't remember what did. I think...it was an UMA!" Hayato eyes sparkled.

"Haha, that is funny," Takeshi laughed, "It happened to me too, but I don't think it was those UMA thingies." Ryohei exclaimed in agreement.

"Kufufu, the bunny's father recruited me, though the man looked like someone else tried to convince him, since he wasn't happy with the idea."

Mukuro smirked looking up ahead, "Oya, Skylark, what about you?"

Everyone looked up front at the lone figure who is keeping point, away from everyone.

"That mushroom herbivore didn't finalize my decision," Kyoya put in after a minute of trying to ignore them.

"The aloof cloud is right. Little Yuni may had plant the idea to go to Italy, but she wasn't who truly convince you," Everyone turned around and was faced with young man with his head bowed fiddling with his hat on his head with his checkered pattern gloves.

"Checkerface?!" the Arcobalenos shouted.

"Hohoho, that is not my name, little ones~!" The smiling being responded childishly looking up to them, "Hello and good day, my name is Wonomichi~" He twirled a little of his power from his fingers and showed the familiar broken black and white squares.

"LEON!" Reborn calls out his chameleon to turn into his trusty gun realizing who it might be and shouted, "CHAOS SHOT!" Sun-flamed bullets rained at Wonomichi.

Not a second passed when Colonnello caught his rifle when Falco flew by to drop it towards his partner. Then he shoots at Wonomichi. The targeted man only smirks under the shadow of his hat and disappeared, The Rain and Sun Arcobaleno were furious at this as they looked around.

"GWAAAH! CREEPY MAN!" Reborn turned and realize the Tsuna's guardians were herded. Somehow Wonomichi now stood between the Arcobaleno and them.

"Its for the best, hohoho~!" He bowed and took off his hat at the Arcobaleno with his unprotected back at the guardians. The guardians tried to attack, but Wonomichi straighten himself too fast and many broken white and black squares appeared around the guardians.

Just like that they disappeared before the Arcobalenos' eyes.

"You– !" Reborn growled. Wonomichi put on his hat with a quick glance to his scribbled arm, Wonomichi gave his best silly smile at the Arcobalenos.

"Do say hello to my uncle, would you~?" Then Wonomichi disappeared.

The Arcobaleno cursed themselves as they realize all their communication devices were left with Ryohei's bag. Now how will they find them and the three skies?

Then someone behind them, asked, "How strange, weren't there more of you?"

"Well you can thank that to your nephew who also sends his greetings," Verde pushed up his glasses when they face with a checker-face masked man. He raised an eyebrow when Checkerface frowned at them, but shook his head.

"No matter then, I just doing a courteous visit, though its a shame I cannot give the mist and the other rain pacifier wielders, since I am short in time."

"What is the meaning of stealing the three sky-flame users?" Fon coldly interrupted.

"Yeah, why did you took Yuni-sama, you jerk! Enough that you cursed us, but she didn't– " Skull complained.

"Silence Cloud," Checkerface commanded in monotone, "she made her choice as the other two besides it already started and it shall be finished. I only gave you as some would say a 'heads up.'"

"What are you up to?" Reborn asked as he fingered his gun.

"Just telling you to give your farewells to your partners," Checkerface gravely responded.

"Farewell?!" squeaked Skull and looked down at a worry Oodako.

Leon licked his finger in comfort. But how can he when not only his student and boss were taken, but the guardians he watched over when they all were under Reynardo were taken before his very eyes. All he did was watched them disappear and done nothing! Now this man is telling him he would lose his partner too with a "oh well, yout pet goldfish is dying"?!

"In few minutes you are no longer– "

"SHUT UP!" Reborn shook in fury as he shots at Checkerface. It didn't even faze the man.

"No way!" Colonnello stared wide-eyed at Checkerface. He whistle Falco and it brought down a bazooka. Colonnello throws his previous rifle onto his back to carry the higher power bazooka.

"Well for once I agree with them," Verde sighed in resignation before smirking, "Be prepare! For we will defeat you, foolish humanoid!"

"Huh? But Verde you also agreed to save Yuni-sama," Skull pointed out as he was hugging Oodako.

Verde ignored him as Keiman spit out all the important documents into a bag that will fit all the stuff for safekeeping. Verde picked up an innocent looking box which he didn't put away and threw it behind him. Smirking he picked up a dead rat and toss it toward Keiman as thanks. Then he turned to face the box, "Activation code: 'Verde is awesome'." A giant robot transformed from the box and shook the clearing as it went to attack Checkerface.

Fon closed his eyes and felt for his storm flames. Lichi who was sleeping on Fon's head, woke up sensing his partner fury. The little critter went into a battle mode complementary to Fon's. They simultaneously attacked.

"Fighting me is futile, it will not stop the disappearance of your partners," Checkerface stated as he ducked from getting run over by Skull on his motorbike, only to be caught in Oodako arms at Skull's hand signal.

"Better hurry up you three!" Verde shouted at Reborn, Colonnello and Fon as he directed the robot to back up Oodako in case the man escaped form it.

GESSO MANSION, LEVEL M2C (MARSHMELLOW COMMAND CENTER ), ITALY

Spanner chewed on the left over remains of his lollipop as he checked the vital signals of the Rescue team. The door opened behind him, letting in Giovanni and the youngest trio of the Gesso guardians. Without looking back, Spanner asked, "You didn't find Lambo-sama did you?"

The sniffling Giovanni broke down and bawled, "NOOOO! We are terrible protectors! The Bovinos are going to haunt us for the rest of our miserable lives because of our failure!"

Meanwhile Ghostie just remained silent and notice the lollipops in a cup on top of the messy desks in the room. "Oh no! Don't even think about it Ghostie!" Bluebell pulled back the lightning guardian child from getting a lollipop. Daisy in the other hand went to pick up four lollipops.

"Daisy?" Bluebell stared in confusion as Daisy went to give one to Spanner, who didn't look away from his computer screen when he took it with only a thanks. Daisy then went to give one to a somewhat calmed down Giovanni and the last two to himself and shy thankful Ghostie.

"Wait! What about me?!" Bluebell glared at Daisy.

"You tried to take Bubu away," deadpanned Daisy and tighten his grip of his stuffed animal, just in case.

Giovanni sniffled as he tried to eat his lollipop, but he finished it too fast to enjoy it.

"Oh Giovanni, I found Lambo-sama," Spanner casually said.

"Wh-what?! Since when?"

"Hmm? Oh I think after you left."

"Bu-bu-but...Spanner?!" whined Giovanni.

"He is safe," Giovanni sighed in relief, "he joined the Rescue team in the other dimension." At this Giovanni whimpered again. That is when he realize it was too quiet. The children were gone.

"Sp-spanner, shouldn't we been watching the kids?"

"Nah. it was Zakuro's job, no? If anything happens, it will be on his head. Its his own fault for dropping the kids with you," Spanner typed something and scrolled down as if searching for something.

"What? But that Zakuro guy left them with us!"

Spanner sighed, "Relax," Spanner motioned Giovanni to joined him on the look out in the computers, "Is their base, they should be safe."

"So was our base, and look what happened," Giovanni darkly muttered.

Spanner froze in his typing, but he double his efforts in his typing speed. All the while looking at Lambo's vitals more closely than the others.

Kikyo ignores the ever increasing paperwork on his table (he prefers not to think what is the final count once everything is over) all from the damages done on his training rooms alone. That is what he gets for being the "nice guy" of letting other famiglias into their base. If rumors are true about the first generation Vongola's famiglia destruction and chaos, he shouldn't be surprise the eerie similar ex-Vongola guardians'. It was a good thing the two Arcobalenos stopped the most destructive guardians. Shame it was the cost of another training room. He was thoroughly surprise the bloodlust Varia wasn't as destructive. Must have been a weird off day or something.

"I forsee trouble with the Varia side soon," Torikabuto proclaimed. Kikyo nodded and asked for Varia to check in.

"VOI! WE JUST GOT HERE! DON'T YOU DARE TO MOTHER-HEN US OR SOMETHING!"

"Yes~ that is my job, mou!" pouted Lussaria. It will seem Levi is still knocked out.

"Did my associates arrived intact?" Mammon asked.

"So far what Spanner reported, they are fine," Kikyo nodded.

"Shishishi, seems like the mansion is silent," Bel puts in as he threw a knife at Fran's hat.

"Something is off, Boss. There are meanies, but not in a killing mood like the fake prince," Fran reported.

"Well done disciple, I told you I am a better teacher than that pineapple magician," Mammon patted Fran. Xanxus quickly stood up and growled out before cutting the visual input, "We will keep the line open, just in case."

Kikyo hear the door opened in their Communication Center.

"Yo! Where is the red head?" Zakuro asked.

"Have you seen a mirror as of late?" smirked Torikabuto.

"Shut up, wise guy!" Zakuro scowled at the Mist Gesso guardian.

"Speaking of wise guy," Kikyo drawled that made Zakuro wince, "Where are the three guardians I told you to look after?"

"Uh...I left them with the two inventors since they have experience with their charge?" Zakuro shrugged trying not to feel guilty.

"Those three shall leave from their care and..." Torikabuto pretended to prophesize.

"Did you at least foresee that Ghostie will shock me?!" Bluebell scowled as she entered with the other two guardians behind her.

"It doesn't take a seer wannabe to know not to give candy to Ghostie since that Bovino kid did earlier," laughed Zakuro at Bluebell's burned look. Yeah lightning and water is not a good combo for her. But it sure is funny for Zakuro. He still not happy by her little bathroom prank...

"The bathroom no longer works since Ghostie went," Daisy put in.

Zakuro laughed as Torikabuto smirked. Kikyo just pinched the bridge on his nose in frustration. That bathroom took Kikyo months to fix.

"Master Kikyo, we have lost all connection to the Varia," a subordinate stated.

"Just my luck," Kikyo muttered.

"Why can't you ask Shoichi?" Bluebell asked Kikyo. Before he can respond to her, Zakuro spoke up.

"Hey! You never answered my question? Where is he?"

"He is somewhere where he is much needed," Torikabuto put in. Kikyo glared at him. Before anyone asks what he meant, the Mare guardian rings began to glow.

"They brighten when our leader is yet to escape the enemy's clutches," mused Torikabuto.

Suddenly the guardians cried out, frightening their subordinates. Nothing freaked them out more when Daisy shouted out, "GHOSTIE!"

In pain they all turned to the little lightning child who glowed himself and whimpering in pain.

Kikyo slowly stood up walking toward the child, but commanded, "Fo-focus...getting c-cont-tact with...V-Varia...and others."

"Of course!" the subordinate worked faster as those who were not busy lead the guardians against the wall to rest. Unfortunately, none couldn't get near to Ghostie. They worried, but they have a duty and that is to be ready when they are needed and locate their boss.

"Hm, our boss' guardians appear to be asleep. Their brainwaves show such a similar state," Spanner muttered.

"They are not the only ones with abnormal signals," Giovanni frowned at the Arcobalenos' readings in the other dimension, "their partners are disappearing from existence!"

Spanner went over to look and frowned as well, "Not to mention the Arcobalenos' wavelength seems to be getting disrupted? No, complete? Hmm?"

"You think we should help them?" Giovanni asked.

"Yeah..." Spanner thought and snapped his fingers, "we need to get ready for a full transport back to base. I can't believe we forgot to give them a way to return." Giovanni paled at the realization.

"Also, good thing Shoichi is there though. He will help with the powerful flame reading I just saw with the Arcobalenos," Spanner nodded solemnly. Giovanni stared at him in horrifying manner.

"What can he do?! He was as hopeless as us that time when we arrived Japan!"

Spanner smirked darkly, "You forgotten I am a hacker as well, and I know things. Shoichi will do anything for his boss then add the guy's genius..." Giovanni shivered at the maniac look of Spanner.

It was quiet for a few minutes before Spanner dropped another bomb, "We need a dependable medical team for when they return and right now at Communication Center."

Giovanni looked at a busy Spanner and look at the surveillance cameras, "You think?" He gasped out at the Gesso guardians screaming in pain. He passed out.

Spanner calmly looked over to see what was the loud thump, "Oi. I need you awake, can't do this alone," Spanner went to get his special red lollipop and put it in Giovanni's mouth. He only just returned to his station when Giovanni screamed fire. The poor man ran out and freaked out when he was the nearby bathroom out of order. He didn't care he went in.

He returned a minute later, passing by a medical team passing him by. "Stupid Spanner," Giovanni muttered as he went back to work. Spanner put on his earphones and ignore Giovanni's threats.

A/N: The story went faster than what my notes said, so note-wise this is mix of chapter 16 and 17. I might actually finish this story early next year. See you until next month or two!
