I'm sorry for the loonngg wait, I finally done with this super short chapter.

Well... it seems that Oracleshadow is pretty busy, so this still unbeta'ed. (Uhh.. I'm so sorry... I don't want to bother her and she seems very busy, but I don't want to make all readers wait so if someone interested on being a (temporary) beta for this, just tell me in PM or in review or just anywhere (I put a few links in my bio on how you could contact me) Even for only this fic, I'm completely fine.)

And thank you for the anon who suggested on finding a temporary beta~

Edit : This chapter is already beta'ed by C.C Brittania

Enjoy this chapter!

Chapter 10 :Their Departure

It's a normal day. It should be a normal day. Akashi doing paperworks, Kuroko sorting out Akashi's paperworks, Midorima and Murasakibara somewhere in the castle and occasional reports from either Aomine or Kise. The slow and boring days should be repeated. That was, until a fire started in Akashi's office. Kuroko wasn't surprised by this.

"Burning another letter, Akashi-kun?" Kuroko asked as he watched the burning letter. What caught his attention was the red stamp on it. "That sign and stamp... is it from your family?" Kuroko asked.

"You have keen eyes." Akashi commented.

"Thank you, but please do not try to change the topic."

"What topic?"

"The sign and the stamp on the letter."

"Ah... Yeah. It is from my family, from my father to be exact." Akashi said, irritation laced in his usual calm and commanding voice.

"What is the content? You seem very irritated."

The fire died down and Akashi sighed. "Go read it yourself. That letter can't be burned by my fire." Akashi said while looking at the letter that laid on the ground, unscathed.

Kuroko nodded then walked towards Akashi. He crouched and took the letter before walking back to his desk. "Be careful." Akashi warned.

"Of?" Kuroko asked while trying to open the letter, then he realized the sudden burning sensation on his fingers. His fingers had started to get red before Kuroko released the letter. "What?"

"If you are not an Akashi, you can't open it. If you use force, your hand will burn." Akashi said.

"Then why did you tell me to read it if you know I can not open it?"

"Who said you can't open it?" Akashi asked back.

"But you said only an Akashi can open it."

"And who said you weren't an Akashi? You entered my family register as my wife just a few days ago." Akashi said almost immediately.

There was silence for ten seconds.

"I... I'm sorry, I think I forgot about the family register."

"Well... It's alright. The important factor is not the family register. It's the blood." Akashi said. "Use your blood before you open it. The paper will absorb the blood, then you can open it."

"Such a scary paper." Kuroko commented as he cut his skin with the paper knife. The paper absorbed the blood and Kuroko was able to open the letter's seal in no time.

To Akashi Seijuurou and Akashi Tetsuya.

"Akashi-kun, my name is written here as Akashi Tetsuya."

"That's not the part you should be surprised at, get used to it."

"I know, I just want to get the feel of the name." Kuroko said monotonously as he continued to read the letter.

I invite you two for a dinner at the Akashi main house, next Saturday. I would like to be officialy acquainted with Seijuurou's mate for life. Please come on Friday, so that both of you can rest for a night here.

Tetsuya could do some sightseeing around here, if he wants to. The journey here is not a short one so please bring enough belongings. From here, you two can use my teleportation circle so have no worries about the journey back to the castle.

For Seijuurou, do not try to hide this letter from Tetsuya or even try to get rid of it. I modified this letter so that it can not be destroyed. This letter is for both you and Tetsuya.

I'll be waiting.

-Akashi Masaomi-

"Is Akashi-kun's father..."

"He wants to test you. That dinner is just an excuse. The 'journey' to the Akashi main house is the exact test he wishes you to take, because it's not easy to reach the main house even for me that's used to going there." Akashi explained.

"So... are we going?" Kuroko asked, looking at the letter again before folding it.

"We have no choice but to go." Akashi answered. "Prepare your things, we will leave in the morning." He commanded.

"I understand." Kuroko said. He and Akashi left the office, heading towards the dormitory. When they arrived, they seperated ways since their rooms were in different halls.

"After packing, rest. You need to conserve every energy you have." Akashi said.

"Yes."

Akashi and Kuroko were already on their horses before the sun was up, riding with speed because Akashi had said that the travel there was easier before the sunrise. Their belongings were placed inside bags and tied to the horse.

Right before they left, Kise and Aomine arrived. Reporting a successful mission with smug smile on their faces. Akashi just dismissed it as 'Oh. I see.' before mounting on his fully prepared horse.

"Akashi! are you going somewhere?" Aomine asked.

"Yeah."

"Akashi-kun, I'm ready." Kuroko said from behind Aomine, already riding on his horse.

"Wait... Just the both of you? Don't tell me..." Kise stopped, his eyes were shining. "Honeymoon? You two are going on your honeymoon? That's so sweet! Have fun!" He exclaimed. Aomine sweatdropped, Kuroko froze, Akashi stared dreadfully at Kise.

'Kise, such an idiot, he hasn't learnt his lesson.'

'Kise-kun...'

'It seems the punishment Tetsuya and I meted out was insufficient. Ryouta needs to learn from his mistakes.'

"Kise, you're such a dumbass!" Aomine said while elbowing Kise's stomach.

"Ehhh? What did I do wrong?"

"Enough. We're wasting time here. Let's go, Tetsuya." Akashi said and Kuroko nodded.

"Wait." Another voice that definitely wasn't Akashi's, Kuroko's, Aomine's or Kise's said. Kuroko looked towards the door that connected the castle's halls and the stable and found another two of Akashi's squad members.

"Midorima-kun, Murasakibara-kun." Kuroko said before dismounting from his horse to greet them properly. He walked towards the two and bowed.

"Here, have these for your vacation." Midorima said as he gave Kuroko a small white bag.

"Thank you, Midorima-kun. Also, we are not going on a vacation." Kuroko said expressionless while receiving the bag.

"Bye, Kuro-chin. Have fun with Aka-chin." Murasakibara said, smiling lazily.

"Thank you, but I doubt I will have fun. Worried and uneasy would be more appropriate."

"Worried? Uneasy?" Kise repeated. "Ahh... Don't worry. It may hurt since it's your first time, but it will turn into pleasure eventually." Kise said, blinking his eyes.

There was moment of silence.

"Let's go Akashi-kun." Kuroko said while walking as fast as possibe to his horse and mounting it.

"Yeah." Akashi agreed. His horse had already walked few steps with Kuroko following behind.

"I leave the squad in your hands, Shintarou."

"I understand." Midorima said curtly, saluting at his captain, followed by the other members. Akashi just nodded, before manuevering his horse to go faster.

"Despite what you think about them, they still respect you." Kuroko said, matching his speed with Akashi's.

"Of course, if the king moves the other pieces will also move."

"You have a really good leadership skill, Akashi-kun."

"It's impossible to control them without a good leadership skill. It's an absolute necessity for you too. For you are me and I am you."

"I know. Thank you for the reminder." Kuroko smiled and focused more on riding his horse.

Trivia :

-Kuroko already learned how to ride a horse since he was 6 years old. His father taught him, while his mother often rode with him just for the fun of it.

-He knows about the main family's stamp and seal, because when he was small, they often received letters with the same sign and seal addressed to his father. He knew it was from the main family, but he didn't know 'who' exactly the main family member who sent those letter was.

In the next chapter or the two after this, I will reveal more of the letters Kuroko received addressed to his father. It will come as a surprise~ (and I'm not good at composing letter so please forgive me for the crappy letter up there)

So short, sorry. I got this and all the chapter following it until the end all imagined, but it's hard to put it into words. On another topic, I got another AU idea for our beloved AkaKuro, another multi-chaptered but honestly, I don't know if someone has already done this AU that I want to write.

The plot should be quite slow, with the first and second chapter showing the difference between Akashi and Kuroko's world and the third is the chapter when they first met.

Lastly, review?
