Five Years Later

Part 56

After receiving Thad's text that Tuesday, Sebastian had gone to the studio to have dinner with Blaine as he'd replied to Thad asking what it was about. And the moment Thad had told him, Sebastian knew he needed to talk to Blaine face to face. Needless to say, Blaine was a bit surprised at what Thad wanted to talk to them about. Yet, he knew as did Sebastian there was no way it was going to happen that week as Blaine's schedule was ridiculous. But while the two had dinner that night, Blaine came to the conclusion that he needed to fill the rest of the guys on what was going on. While it wasn't on the top of his priorities, he knew he couldn't hide what had happened any longer from his friends as too much had happened. Not to mention, he and Sebastian both agreed that Rachel would probably need Thad once she was filled in on all that happened.

On Thursday evening, Blaine still hadn't returned to his apartment when Sebastian received a call from his parents letting them know they'd arrived. "I wish you would've told me you were going to come by." Sebastian said into his phone as he sat up on Blaine's couch.

"That negates the surprise aspect of it Sebastian." His Dad told him with a light laugh. "But you should know, your Mom mentioned more than once that you might not be there when we arrived." Once the words came out of his mouth, Sebastian could hear his Mom laughing in the background before telling him she'd told him so. "Are you out with Blaine this evening?"

"Actually, I'm at his place waiting for him to come home. He was in rehearsal for tomorrow night's show as they are adding a couple of new numbers to their set." Sebastian told him before taking a sip of his drink.

"Is it safe to presume you won't be returning to your home this evening?"

"That would be correct. Is that a problem Dad?"

"Not in the slightest." Before Sebastian's Dad could say anything else, Sebastian heard his Mom say hello.

"I tried to tell him that you probably wouldn't be home." His Mom told him. "But you know your Dad; once he sets his mind to something it's hard to get him to change it."

"Yet you continue to wonder where I get that stubborn mindset from." While Sebastian answered, Blaine came walking into his home. "It's the perfect example of like Father, like Son." The moment those words left Sebastian's mouth, Blaine had a good hunch that Sebastian was speaking with his parents. After giving Sebastian a kiss, Sebastian mouthed that it was his Mom on the phone as Blaine went to put his guitar in the rack. "Yes Mom, that was Blaine you heard. Yes, that was a kiss that you heard." Sebastian couldn't help but smile while shaking his head as Blaine looked at him and asked if she really heard that to which he nodded. "No Mom, just because Blaine is home I don't have to get off the phone."

"If you do, we'd understand as I'm sure the two of you want to enjoy what's left of your evening." His Mom told him. "The last thing we'd want to do is intrude in the smallest of ways while we're here."

"Trust me Mom, it's fine. We still have plenty of time to spend together this evening." Once he spoke, Sebastian extended his arm as a way of asking Blaine to sit down beside him which he readily did. "Did you and Dad have a nice flight into the city?"

"We did. The only snag in our travel plans came when our driver was late. I'm pretty certain your Dad was going to get into one of his moods because of it."

"Not that I'm making excuses, but did your flight arrive on time or were you early?"

"We were about ten minutes late actually which was why he was upset."

"I would be too. How was it you weren't upset as you hate waiting almost more than he does?" Once he spoke, Sebastian relayed what was going on to Blaine before kissing his forehead. "Mom?"

"I was concentrating on the fact that we're finally going to meet that dear boyfriend of yours in person." While she spoke, Sebastian glanced at Blaine who was situated so that Sebastian's arm was draped over his shoulder holding him while his head was on his shoulder. "Sebastian?"

"Sorry Mom, I got a bit distracted."

"By Blaine most likely." Once she spoke, Sebastian's Dad looked at her as she had quite the look on her face, one that Sebastian would often get.

"Not in the context you might be thinking, truthfully, I hope that's not what you're thinking." From where Blaine's head was, Sebastian could see Blaine cock an eyebrow before Sebastian gave him a squeeze. "He's actually sitting here beside me right now."

"Please tell me you warned that dear boy about us Sebastian." His Mom told him as she was rather certain Sebastian's recent response probably caught Blaine's attention.

"Blaine will be fine Mom, trust me. You and Dad aren't that different from the Andersons."

"Is that so?"

"Yes. Now, do you and Dad have plans for tomorrow as I do have class as does Blaine?" Sebastian asked as he was curious how his parents were going to spend the day.

"We're going to be visiting with some friends that we haven't seen in some time."

"Alright. You should know that if you need something to do, you and Dad should head over to the French Embassy as they are hosting an exhibit about some of the great Impressionists."

"Sebastian, while I appreciate the information, those events are usually invitation only." His Mom replied as they entered their hotel's lobby.

"You're on the list." Sebastian proceeded to tell her. "Nick Duval's girlfriend works at the Consulate and arranged for you and Dad to obtain admittance. There should've been tickets at your hotel waiting for you." He then heard his Mom ask his Dad if there were any tickets given to him when they checked-in earlier that evening.

"So that's what's in the envelope addressed to Monsieur et Madame Smythe."

"Oui." From that point in the conversation, Blaine turned to look at Sebastian as he and his Mom were conversing solely in French. While he was catching bits and pieces, they were clearly speaking much faster than Sebastian did when the two of them spoke. But once they began talking about what sort of attire to wear the next night, Blaine stretched and kissed Sebastian on the cheek before telling him he was going to go and take a shower. When Sebastian looked at him, a smirk slowly crept across Blaine's face as he knew Sebastian would prefer to join him than finish his conversation with his Mom. Yet after rehearsal, Blaine really couldn't wait any longer to take one.

Wanting to give Sebastian ample time to not only finish his conversation but join him, Blaine took his time getting undressed before getting into the shower. He was just rinsing the conditioner out of his hair when he felt Sebastian's body pressed against his back and his arms wrap around him. "I hope you didn't cut the conversation short on my account." Blaine told him before turning in his arms to face him and allowing the water to flow over Sebastian as well.

"I didn't, though my Mom would've understood." Sebastian told him before giving him a kiss. "While they're quite proper, they're not quite what one might think."

"I gathered as much when you said not in the context you were thinking." Blaine replied. "What was that about?"

"Well, you heard me say I was distracted." Blaine nodded. "She said by Blaine most likely and well, her tone was anything but innocent." When Blaine's eyes went wide, Sebastian kissed him on his forehead. "Yea, that's why I said they aren't exactly what one would think. Like I said, you being at my place wouldn't be an issue as they are more than comfortable with my sexuality. Hell they're quite comfortable about sex in general. Honestly I was more uncomfortable with the talk than they were and you know I'm more than comfortable with the topic."

"You were young."

"True, but they can still manage to embarrass me." When Blaine looked at him, Sebastian smiled. "I know, they're some of the few that are able to do that. So, fair warning."

"Noted. I'm more than game to distract you now though." Blaine told him. "That is if all your homework is done."

"Are you telling me I don't get any if my homework isn't done?" Sebastian replied as he slid his hands lower till he was gripping Blaine's ass. Once he had that firm grip, he pulled Blaine up a bit and flush against him. "Killer?"

"I said that because I'd much prefer to have you in my bed for the rest of the night which can't happen if you have homework."

"Are you saying that once we start you wouldn't be able to control yourself?" Blaine nodded, bringing quite the sexy smirk to Sebastian's face. "Not that I'm complaining, but what brought this on?"

"It's just how I'm feeling today as you've been on my mind all day. So?"

"You'll be happy to know I finished all the reading I needed to do for tomorrow and actually began reading the next section we're going to cover. So, I'm all yours as long as that goes both ways."

"It does, I'm all yours as well."

With the schedule Blaine had for the next day, he ended up getting up with Sebastian in the morning so that he could get his bag packed. Unlike when they'd gone to dinner with his parents, they were meeting at Sebastian's for a drink before heading to dinner. While he was packing what he was wearing for the show that night, Sebastian wrapped his arms around him once he was dressed. "Relax B." Sebastian whispered softly into Blaine's ear as he could tell he was nervous. "They're going to love you almost as much as I do."

"But…"

"Blaine, it'll be fine but I understand all too well as I felt this way last week." Sebastian told him as he turned Blaine in his arms so they were face to face. "Like you told me, the only thing different is that they're seeing you face to face and not through a monitor."

"I…I just want to make a good impression Bas."

"Just be yourself Killer, that's all they want much as your parents wanted the same from me." Sebastian then leaned down and kissed him gently on the lips. "If you're still nervous when you get to my place after class I'm more than willing to help you relax."

"As tempting as that is, I don't need to be in a post-sex daze when I meet your parents."

"Just know the offer is there." As they looked at each other, Blaine smiled as the look on Sebastian's face was so genuine and caring. "Now, are you packed so I can bring your bag with me as I have time to drop it off?"

"Yea." Blaine then pointed to where it was just behind him. "If I change my mind I can grab something from the clothes I have at your place for tonight." Sebastian smiled before giving him one more kiss before letting him go. "Have a good day Bas."

"You too B!" Once Sebastian spoke, Blaine gave him on last kiss before he grabbed Blaine's bag and headed on his way. It was mornings like this one that made them both so happy when they realized they'd only be doing this for a couple more months since Blaine was moving in with him at the end of April. While it could seem quick to some, they both knew it was the right thing to do for the both of them.

The day was thankfully flying by as Sebastian honestly couldn't wait for Blaine and his parents to meet. And more than once throughout the day, Hunter gave him a hard time about the fact. The two were getting coffee before heading for the library to get in a bit more studying when Sebastian heard his name being called out. After a quick look at Hunter, Sebastian looked around and soon saw his Dad walking towards them. "Sebastian, I was hoping I'd be able to find you." His Dad said before giving him a hug.

"What…what are you doing here?"

"I came to say hello." Mr. Smythe then looked at Hunter before looking at Sebastian. "Where are your manners Sebastian, aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?" When Hunter smirked, Sebastian shook his head.

"I'm sorry. Dad, I'd like you to introduce you to Hunter Clarington. Hunter, this is my Dad, Xavier Smythe."

"It's a pleasure to meet you sir." Hunter replied as he extended his hand so the two could shake.

"Are you the…"

"Yes, it's the same Hunter, Dad." Sebastian then looked at Hunter who raised an eyebrow. "Now, where is Mom?"

"Getting her nails done as she didn't have time to get them done before we left."

"I'm going to let the two of you talk." Hunter said as he placed a hand on Sebastian's shoulder. "I'll see you and Blaine's show tonight. It was nice to meet you sir." Xavier nodded as Hunter soon headed on his way to the library.

"He didn't need to go." Xavier said as the two began to walk.

"Well, you are clearly here for a reason." Sebastian told him. "How did you manage to find me as this isn't a small campus?"

"You might've mentioned that you tend to go to the library before your last class each Friday. So, I took a chance while your Mom was occupied."

"What do you want to talk to me about Dad?" Sebastian asked as he stopped walking and adjusted his bag on his shoulder since they were now out of the flow of foot traffic. "As I know you wouldn't just drop by for no reason when you're going to see me in a matter of hours. So, what is it?" Xavier then motioned towards a nearby bench for the two to sit. Once they were situated, Sebastian turned to look at his Dad.

"Honestly, I came by to make sure you're okay as this is the first time you've ever introduced us to anyone. I mean, at one point your Mom was afraid we were never going to meet anyone you were seeing."

"What would've been the point of introducing you to anyone that I couldn't see a future with or that I wasn't in love with?" Sebastian replied rather matter of factly to his Dad and the change of expression on his Dad's face didn't escape him. "Don't get ahead of yourself, okay. I was just trying to get across that this isn't some silly case of puppy love or whatever some might call it."

"Are his feelings for you as strong?" Sebastian nodded. "So the two of you have spoken about it?"

"With everything that happened to get us to this point, we know we need to talk and we do."

"You know it's not going to be easy considering the career path Blaine's on as he's going to be away quite a bit."

"We know that, but we both believe we can make it work." There was a look in Sebastian's eyes that his Dad could never remember seeing before. "And this first summer tour will give us a good idea of what things are going to be like. Not to mention, you remember law school Dad, I'll have plenty to keep me busy while he's gone come fall as well. Plus the wonders of technology are at our disposal."

"And here your Mom was afraid you and Blaine hadn't discussed any of this." Xavier said to him. "But clearly, you boys are well aware of what's ahead of you."

"We are. Dad, when you see him perform tonight, you'll see why this is what he's meant to do." The smile on Sebastian's face spoke volumes as to how proud of Blaine he was. "And I'm going to support him every step of the way."

"We can't wait to hear him after everything you've told us as well as what we've heard and seen from those videos you've shared with us."

"Seeing him live is an entirely different experience." Sebastian then looked at his watch. "While I'd love to talk more, I need to go meet Hunter to study as we've got a busy weekend ahead of us."

"Go, I'll see you later on." Sebastian smiled before going to meet Hunter in the library. As he walked away, Xavier sat back and smiled. While he was rather sure from their talks over Skype, there was now no doubt in his mind just how deeply his son was in love with Blaine. This was going to make his wife happier than she already was as for so long she was afraid that Sebastian wouldn't let himself fall in love.

By the time Sebastian returned home that day, he was surprised to fine Blaine asleep in his bed which was rare as he tended to fall asleep on the couch. Yet once his eyes left Blaine he saw his tablet beside him as well as numerous pieces of paper. This was a scene Sebastian had become quite accustomed to as it often happened when Blaine was working on a new song. After giving the other side of the bed a look, Sebastian slipped off his shoes before getting into bed behind him. Sebastian had just wrapped his arm around him when Blaine turned his head towards him as his eyes fluttered open. "Go back to sleep Killer, we've got time."

"Can't." Blaine mumbled before trying to sit up which was difficult with Sebastian's arm around him. "You need to let me go Bas." Sebastian did as he asked and Blaine pushed himself up before rubbing his eyes. "I didn't even realize I'd fallen asleep."

"Long day?" Sebastian asked as he sat up to lean against the headboard while rubbing Blaine's back.

"Somewhat. Did you look at any of this?" Blaine replied before yawning as he continued to wake up.

"No, as I know better than to look at a work in progress till you tell me I can." Sebastian told him.

"I appreciate that." Blaine then turned enough so that he could give Sebastian a kiss. "How was your day?"

"Not bad. My Dad showed up though." That last bit caused Blaine to turn as he stopped gathering his work. "Yea, I thought the same thing considering we're seeing them. But, he was just being my Dad and making sure he had a clear picture of the situation."

"What picture?"

"Of what is going on between us. Remember B, you're the first person I've ever introduced to them." When Blaine bit his lower lip, Sebastian placed his hand on Blaine's cheek. "I told him what was the point of ever introducing them to someone I didn't love. Plus being a Dad, he wanted to make sure we are aware of what's ahead of us considering your career is moving forward."

"So, he had a similar talk with you that my parents had with me."

"Yep." After Blaine had everything stacked and set aside, he got comfortable beside Sebastian. "How are you feeling about tonight?"

"Nervous, but not as bad as I was this morning. I'm actually looking forward to it."

"Good as they're looking forward to meeting you as well." Sebastian told him. "So, I guess that means you don't need my services."

"Not now, but thank you for the offer." Blaine replied as he took Sebastian's hand in his and interlaced their fingers. "Maybe later?"

"Maybe?"

"Fine, later, once we're back here."

"That's better as I have this innate need to ravage you after watching you perform. You performing is quite the aphrodisiac for me."

"So I've noticed. Are we going to do brunch with your parents tomorrow like we did with mine?"

"I was thinking we would. Also, they weren't able to get to the exhibit today so I thought we could all go tomorrow."

"That would be nice." Even though they easily could've done something, the two stayed in bed talking till it was time for them to start getting ready for the night. Since they were leaving from Sebastian's, Vincent had told Blaine at rehearsal the previous day that Scott would be accompanying them much as he'd done when his own parents were in town. "Are you sure you're parents aren't going to think it's weird that Scott's accompanying us?"

"No as my Dad is well aware of what's been happening." Sebastian told him as he took ahold of his hand. "And knowing him, he's filled my Mom in on the basics."

"Is it wrong that your parents knew before mine?"

"Slightly, but I know you were hesitant about telling them as you didn't want them to worry any more about you than they needed to. Plus, you're the one that told me to keep my Dad in the loop of what's going on because of what Hummel has done. Speaking of, how are your parents doing now that they know everything?"

"My Mom has called me every day since they got home; making sure Kurt hasn't come near me."

"One really can't blame her B."

"I know. Speaking of that situation, have you heard back from Wes and Nick about Tuesday night?" Blaine asked as they headed toward Sebastian's liquor cabinet.

"I have and they will be here. Wes did mention that Nick asked him if he knows what it's about."

"What did he say?"

"That he needed to just wait." Blaine shook his head knowing Nick didn't have the most patience of all the guys but it was certainly better than Thad. Before Sebastian could say anything else, his doorbell rang so he gave Blaine a kiss before going to answer.

Once Sebastian walked away, Blaine straightened what he was wearing and took a deep breath as this was the moment. It wasn't long till he heard laughter which helped put him at ease before they all appeared at the end of the hall. Right after Blaine made eye contact with Sebastian's Mom, she whispered into Sebastian's ear before smiling. Even with as nervous as he was, Blaine met them halfway and soon Sebastian was at his side. "Mom, Dad, this is Blaine, in the flesh. B, my parents Xavier and Victoria Smythe."

"Mr. and Mrs. Smythe, it's a pleasure to finally meet you." Blaine said as he extended his hand, but was soon wrapped up in a hug he hadn't expected from Victoria. As they hugged, Blaine glanced at Sebastian who was smiling.

"The pleasure is all ours Blaine." Victoria told him. "And no formalities here, please call us by our first names."

"She's right Blaine." Xavier told him once his wife let him go before giving him a hug as well which surprised Sebastian though the hug was nowhere as long as the one his Mom had given him. "And it's not as though you've called us Mr. and Mrs. in any of our earlier conversations."

"That's very true sir." Blaine replied before Sebastian nudged him in the side. "Hey, you did the same thing with my parents."

"Is that true Sebastian?" Victoria asked as she looked between the two.

"Yes Mom, it is true. Now, may I get either of you something to drink while we wait for our transportation to arrive?" Sebastian asked before taking Blaine's hand in his.

"I'll have my usual Sebastian." Xavier replied and Sebastian nodded. "Dear?"

"Chardonnay please." As Sebastian went to, turn he felt his other hand taken. "Why don't you leave Blaine with us?"

"B?"

"It's fine Bas." Blaine replied, so Sebastian let go of his hand before giving him a kiss on the cheek. Once Sebastian went to get their drinks, Victoria took Blaine's hand as they went to take a seat. While Sebastian fixed their drinks, he made certain to pay close attention to what his parents were saying to Blaine. The conversation started off rather basic in them asking Blaine how he'd been since the last they'd spoken before they started to get to know him a bit better. "For the most part, I've always known that I wanted to perform. It was only a matter of which area I wanted to focus on."

"May I ask how your parents took it as it's not an easy path?" Victoria asked as she took her glass of wine from Sebastian. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." Sebastian replied before handing his Dad his glass of Scotch. "Mom, please."

"It's alright." Blaine reassured him once he sat down beside him. "It was hard for the very reason you mentioned. Also, they'd witnessed the pitfalls of a career in the entertainment industry already."

"How so?" Xavier asked.

"My brother, Cooper, is an actor and he had quite a few tough years before getting a commercial gig that lead to other things." Blaine told them. "Because of that, they were very open and honest with me but said they'd support me as the final decision needed to be mine."

"Much as you'd done with me." Sebastian said as he slid his arm around Blaine.

"That's true, we did." Xavier replied. "I firmly believe that whatever you set forth to do with your life needs to be something you believe in. And while I'm thrilled you chose to go to Law School Sebastian, you would've made one hell of a photographer."

"Thank you." Sebastian told him.

"I'd have to agree." Blaine said. "He's got an incredible eye." After the words left his lips, Sebastian kissed Blaine on the temple. "It's true." Blaine said as he glanced up at him and smiled. They could've easily gotten lost in that moment, but the doorbell rang again. "I guess our transportation is here."

"Let me go check." Sebastian told him before going to see who was at the door. Once he got up, Sebastian looked at his parents once more in a way Blaine could tell he was telling them to behave.

"Are you getting excited about what's in store for you this summer?" Victoria asked.

"I'm excited and nervous at the same time." Blaine told them. "Everything is happening so fast that it can get a bit overwhelming."

"That's to be expected." Xavier told him. "But from what Sebastian has told us, you deserve everything that is happening to you."

"None of this would be happening if it wasn't for Bas." Blaine replied. "He had faith in me when I was doubting myself."

"Is that so?" Victoria asked.

"It is. There hasn't been a day since that I have forgotten that. While I probably don't need to tell this to you, but your son is the most incredible person that I know."

"You didn't, but I can tell you we don't mind as it's nice to know someone else can see how special Sebastian is." Just as those words left Victoria's mouth, Sebastian appeared at the end of the hall accompanied by Scott.

"Is everyone ready to go?" Sebastian asked as he looked at everyone.

"Sebastian?" Xavier said as he looked at Scott who was standing slightly behind Sebastian.

"I'm sorry. Mom, Dad, I'd like you to meet B's bodyguard, Scott. Scott, my parents Xavier and Victoria."

"Mr. and Mrs. Smythe." Scott said as he looked at them and smiled. "Blaine, do you have everything?"

"Yes, that's my bag by the door." Blaine replied as he stood. "Shall we?" The Smythes nodded and soon got up as well. After gathering their coats, it wasn't long till they were all on their way. While Sebastian's parents were getting into the car, Blaine looked up at him. "What did your Mom say to you after she and I first saw one another?"

"That you're even cuter in person." Sebastian told him before placing a kiss on top of his head. "Now be forewarned, they're going to ask questions over dinner."

"That's fine as my parents did the same to you. I'll be okay, promise."

During their ride to dinner, they kept the conversation to basics or Sebastian did as he had no clue what else his parents wanted to know. It was during this time Blaine found out that Xavier was a partner in a rather prestigious law firm since he was no longer State's Attorney. And that Sebastian's Mom had actually helped him design and decorate his home. While Sebastian had told him she was an interior designer, he had failed to mention how sought after her firm or more particularly her talents were. Yet knowing this, helped him see where Sebastian got his eye for photography as she viewed things differently than most. So finding this out, showed just how much of his parents' son, Sebastian really was.

Once they arrived at the restaurant, they were seated almost immediately which pleased all of them considering Blaine was performing that night. "Are you certain Scott won't join us?" Xavier asked once they were all seated.

"Positive." Blaine replied. "He prefers staying back as I'd had a similar conversation with him prior to my parents coming into town."

"Has it taken some getting used to having him around?" Victoria asked.

"I still am, but it's getting easier. While at first I thought having him around wasn't necessary, sadly, I've been proven wrong on more than one occasion that his presence is."

"B's got quite the fan base already which you'll see this evening." Sebastian told him.

"Bas."

"It's true B, stop being so modest." Blaine looked at him, but soon smiled as he knew trying to argue this point with Sebastian was pointless. Each time they had a little moment like this, Sebastian's parents were watching the dynamic between the two. And while Xavier had spoken with Sebastian earlier, he could see with his own eyes that the feelings between the two were certainly mutual, as could Victoria. "Are you two going to stop staring at us?"

"Sebastian." His Mom said as she looked at him.

"It's true, you were."

"Bas." Blaine said softly as he placed his hand on Sebastian's thigh. "It's okay. My parents did the same thing. The only difference, I didn't call them on it." When Sebastian looked at him, Blaine smiled.

"You know we meant no offense Sebastian." Victoria told him. "But seeing you like this is something we're still adjusting to. I hope it didn't make you uncomfortable Blaine."

"Not in the slightest." Blaine told her. "As I said, my parents had similar moments last weekend."

Once they'd ordered, they had a bit more time to talk and much as Sebastian had expected, his parents began to dig a bit deeper. The moment his Dad brought up that Sebastian had mentioned Blaine had previously gone to Dalton, Sebastian took a rather large sip of his drink. "From what you've said Blaine, you hadn't gone to private school all your life so what prompted your parents to send you to Dalton?"

"Has anyone seen our waiter, I need a refill." Sebastian said hoping to change the subject, but Blaine looked at him and nodded. "B."

"It's okay. While my parents has considered sending me to Dalton, before I started high school. I ended up being sent after…" Blaine paused and took a deep breath and during that moment Sebastian took ahold of his hand. "…after ending up in the hospital as I was beaten pretty badly for being gay." Blaine hadn't even finished speaking when Victoria placed her hand over her mouth in shock.

"We…we didn't know." Xavier said as he looked at Sebastian whose focus was on Blaine in that moment. "I'm so sorry."

"It's alright, you didn't know." When he spoke, Blaine could see the Smythes' focus was on Sebastian. "Please don't be upset with him as I'd asked him not to tell anyone once he found out. I prefer people hear it from me if they're going to hear about it."

"We're not upset." Victoria told him after glancing at her husband. "Sebastian did the right thing in respecting your wishes. At least for me, it's still hard to hear things like this."

"Victoria is correct Blaine, we're not upset with him no matter what our expressions might seem to convey. Much like my wife, it's never easy to hear things like this as we know it could've easily happened to Sebastian as well. I just hope that my question didn't bring up any ill feelings for you as that's not what I intended."

"It didn't. While it's not something I talk about, it's a fact of life for me that this has happened and ignoring it isn't going to change that." The Smythes nodded as sadly they knew Blaine was right, nothing could change what had happened to him. Yet seeing that it hadn't broken him showed them just how strong Blaine is.

They were finishing up when Blaine excused himself to go and let Scott know they'd be ready to leave in about twenty minutes so he knew when to have the car brought around. During this time, Sebastian's parents looked across at him. "Don't look at me like that."

"Like what?" Victoria asked.

"I don't know…that look you currently have as I don't recognize it and you're making me feel uncomfortable." Sebastian said before looking for Blaine who was still speaking with Scott. "B will be back soon."

"We know." Xavier told him. "And you can relax Sebastian. I'm pretty sure your Mom was going to tell you what I'm about to and that Blaine lives up to everything you've told us about him."

"He's a remarkable young man Sebastian." Victoria added.

"He is, more than you know." Sebastian said. "And if you haven't seen everything yet, what till you see him on stage…he owns it."
