John wheeled out of the hospital via wheelchair with his father Jameson next to him
"Dad for the last time...I don't need the wheelchair I feel completely fine" John said with a sigh.
"Oh I don't care if you feel fine she said for me to keep you in this wheelchair so that's what I'm going to do!" Jameson said
"Ugh fine..." John said relaxing in the chair closing his eyes.
And then he heard the sound of three children playing
He opened his eyes watching them play with a ball and he was instantly reminded of his childhood
Jameson's phone rang
"Goddamnit! I have to take this John wait here" Jameson said flipping out his phone and clicking answer he walked back inside the hospital leaving John out there
One child kicked the ball so hard the ball went flying on to the road the other child ran on to the road to get the ball not noticing the truck driving towards him
The child grabbed the ball looking at it the truck honked loudly the child turned and was blinded by the headlights
John's eyes widened he lunged out of the wheelchair standing up
"GET OFF THE ROAD NOW" John shouted running on to the road at incredible speeds he went covered the child with his body
The truck crashed into John's back
The truck stopped on impact John grunted in pain
John freed the child from his grip the child instantly ran back to his friends
Jameson witnessed the truck hit his son and tons of passerby's also witnessed it
Most of them recorded it
John looked at his hands in amazement
He saw a gem embedded in both of his palms they were glowing brightly
"What the hell are these..?" John asked himself
Peter walked into a coffee shop he was suppose to meet Gwen and Harry why? he invited them both there to tell them his secret
At first he didn't want to tell them cause he knew knowing his secret identity would put them both in danger...Hell just knowing him placed them in danger
He looked around for them
"Hey over here!" Harry said waving his hand in the air
Peter saw both Harry and Gwen sitting at a booth
Peter sat next to Harry while Gwen sat across the table
A waitress walked to their booth she was their age and she was a Redhead
Peter and Harry looked at her in amazement
Gwen rolled her eyes watching them
"Hi I will be the one serving you today" She said with a beautiful smile
Harry blushed slightly stuttering
"I-I would like a cheeseburger" Harry said stuttering
"How about you?" She said looking at Peter
Peter was looking down at her neck she was wearing a scarf but he was able to see some choke markings on her neck probably a abusive boyfriend He thought
"I'm up here you know" She said with a giggle
Peter looked up at her face
"O-Oh it's not what you think.. I wasn't looking at your... nevermind I would like a cheeseburger also with fries please.."
She nodded she then looked at Gwen
"How about you?" She said
"I would like a drink with fries" Gwen said
"Okay... what drink?" She asked
"Soda" Gwen said
"Okay" She said looking at Peter and Harry once more as soon as she turned away her smile disappeared
"Did you see the way she looked at me?! she totally likes me guys.." Harry said
"Dream on Harry.." Gwen said
"Wow someone's jealous" Peter said
"Me jealous? nope" Gwen said
"Hey look isn't it that guy who was saved by Spiderman like 3 weeks ago?" Harry asked looking at a newspaper on the table
Peter and Gwen looked at the newspaper
"Astronaut hero saves child!" Was written on the newspaper in large letters and it was BOLD
"Wow amazing.." Gwen said
Peter stared at the newspaper confused but also surprised
"I have to tell them about my identity.." Peter thought rubbing his chin
Damnit.. I want to tell them I really do but if I do.. Peter thought looking at them
I-I can't.. Peter thought
"I have to go guys sorry" Peter said standing up
"Peter you haven't even ate your burger.." Gwen said
I-I know.. Just tell the waitress that I don't want it anymore" Peter said standing up and leaving
