Prue was pacing the room nervously while her arms waved around hysterically, "how did Chris come here?" she questioned, "and why the hell was he transparent?" she continued her rant.
"I think with you being here, his existence is threatened" he suggested, immediately regeretting the sentence.
"WHAT?" she shrieked, "Andy, please don't tell me I'm going to lose my son" she pleaded, and he looked sympathetically at her.
"Prue, calm down. You heard what he said, your sisters are working on getting you back, which will in turn save his existence" he soothed.
"What if it's too late?" she wondered, and he fell silent.
"You know what that means Prue" he said softly, and she shook her head adamantly at him.
"I. WILL. NOT. LOSE. MY. SON" she bellowed, "I. WONT. LET. HIM. DOWN. AGAIN" she barked, "he needs me, he needs me to take away the pain that he had lived through without me and I wont abandon him" she said defiantly, and he smiled.
"I know all of that, but you need to have faith in your sisters, he's their nephew, and they care about him too. They'll figure this out" he assured her, and she sighed knowing that he was right.
"Why don't you tell me about the day Andie was born?" he asked, and she furrowed her eyebrows at him.
"I thought you said that you watched over us all the time?" she retorted.
"I was only allowed after your….um….alleged death. The Elders were worried that you might sense me, and it would've stopped you from moving on" he replied.
"Well, I was about a week overdue with her. Piper had thrown me a babyshower that night, and Phoebe's past life decided to pay her a visit and warn her about something" she started the tale, as she made her way out of the attic, "We spent most of the day watching over Phoebe, and making sure that she doesn't end up dead, till we figured out a way to banish her past life. We had just vanquished the warlock and her past life, when my water decided to break" she continued, as she made her way down the stairs and headed towards her room, "we didn't even have enough time to grab our stuff and get to the car" she narrated, as she pushed the door open to her room, "Leo delivered her here in my room" she finished, as she stared at the neatly made bed.
"When he placed her in my arms, I looked up half expecting to see you looking back at me, or looking at her" she confessed tearfully, "it broke my heart that you weren't there, but then she opened her eyes and looked at me, and the world just faded away. Only she and I existed, nothing else mattered. I only snapped back when Phoebe and Piper started squealing" she chuckled through her tears and he laughed.
"Let me guess, Phoebe started cooing in her baby voice" he guessed, and she nodded as she laughed along with him.
"Yeah, and Piper hugged me, while Leo said that we need to go to a hospital, though he showed no signs of actually following through with that" she continued.
"I wanted nothing more than for you to witness it, that's why I named her Andrea" she informed him, and he smiled, as a tear rolled down his cheek, "that way she'll always have a piece of you in her" she choked out, as she reached up and stroked his cheek.
Piper and Paige were both bent over a book each, while Phoebe levitated over them and skimmed through the titles of the book on the many shelves in the library. Leo had gone to console with the Elders about Chris's situation and what he had told them before he disappeared, and hadn't returned yet. Gideon was also helping them look through different books, while Sigmund was assigned to keep an extra eye on the kids with Mrs. Hannigan.
They all looked up at the familiar sound of jingles signaling Leo's return, and Piper narrowed her eyes at the sheepish look he had on his face.
"Why do I get the feeling that I wont like what you are about to say?" she alluded, and he smiled sheepishly at her.
"Well, the Elders said that they have no idea how Chris was conceived in the first place, let alone how to help us make him again" he started, and now it was time for the other two sisters to glare at him, "they think that his entire purpose was to warn us against the future evil and that he faded away when his presence was no longer required" he continued.
"So he went back to the future?" Phoebe suggested hopefully, and Leo shook his head sadly at her, "no I'm afraid not" he objected, "they think that he ceased to exist" he finished, and Piper slammed the book in her hand shut, and got to her feet.
"If those damned Elders think that we are going to give up on our nephew because they are incompetent, then they have no idea who they are dealing with. We don't turn our backs on family, and we are going to get our nephew back and he is going to live a long and prosperous life" she stated defiantly.
"Even if we have to go to the land of the dead ourselves" Paige added, and Leo sighed, knowing that there is no point in arguing with them when they are in that state, but it appears that Gideon didn't.
"I know you girls are upset, but if young Chris had fulfilled his destiny then nothing you three can do will bring him back" Gideon chimed in, and Leo winced at the knowledge of what was coming next.
Piper rounded on him, while Paige glared, and Phoebe raised her eyebrows in surprise at his statement, "your colleagues have done nothing all our lives except screw it up. They didn't know that Prue wasn't really dead, they didn't warn us against Shax attacking, or the metaphorical window, or the Hollow. NOTHING" she listed, "they abandoned us in the times of need time and time again, so if they think that we are going to follow in their footsteps then they are mistaken. We are going to get our sister back, and Chris will be born. And if they wont help us do it, then they can kiss their Charmed Ones goodbye till we figure it out" Piper screamed, and Gideon nodded in understanding.
"Then may I suggest we focus on getting Prue back first? After all, the boy needs a mother to be born and it seems to be the one problem that can be solved at the moment" he chose his words carefully, and Piper nodded.
"I think I may have found something" Paige called the attention to her, and the page she was looking at.
Phoebe floated back down, as the other rushed to her side, "do you think it'll work?" she directed her question to Leo, who was reading the words intently, "yeah, I think it might" he conceded.
"Let's get going then"
Prue laid her head onto Andy's bare chest, as she traced her finger into invisible patterns, while he ran his fingers up and down her bare back. The sheets pulled up around them, with only Prue's leg peeking out from under it. They had been laying in comfortable silence for a while, just enjoying each other's company and prolonging the inevitable of facing the consequences of their actions.
"Andy" she called softly.
"Mhm" he responded, as he rested his cheek on top of her head.
"The day you died, when we were in the park" she started, as she raised her head to look him the eye, "when I told you that I still loved you" she continued, and he nodded at her to continue, "you said that you didn't know that I did" she said, and he smiled sadly at her, as he brushed her hair away from her face, "did you really think that I stopped loving you?" she asked.
"I started doubting it when I learned that you broke up with me because of something I said while under a spell" he confessed, "I mean you didn't even give it a try" he added, and she averted her gaze.
"When you came to me after the ghost of Alcatraz and told me that you wanted nothing to do with witchcraft, and that you wanted the wife with the white picket fence and the screaming kid; I saw the guilt in your eyes, the pain and that's when I knew that I was right to break it off after what you said under the spell. I wanted to spare you the pain and guilt, and I didn't mind taking the full blame for it. After all, it was my secret, and my heritage that caused it all" she explained, and he felt his chest tighten.
"Oh Prue" he exclaimed fondly, before he used his hand to lift her head, and pulled her towards him, capturing her lips with his own in a loving kiss.
"I regretted that decision the minute I left your office, but I knew that if we tried and it didn't work out, that you were going to feel guilty for it, and I didn't want that. And I thought that if you made the decision based on one spell, then you must've not loved me as much. I never loved another woman the way I loved you, you were always the love of my life" he confessed, "so when you told me that you loved me, that you were willing to use your magic on me just to make sure that I stay away; I knew that I was an idiot to let you go and I couldn't remember any of the reasons I used to justify staying away from you" he finished.
"I cant believe I have to lose you again" she cried, burying her face into his neck.
"You'll never loose me baby, I will always be with you" he promised her, as he tightened his arms around her.
"Is the potion ready?" Paige asked, as she walked back into the library with a sleeping Wyatt in her arms, and Leo hot on her heels with a sleeping Andie.
"Yes, spell?" Piper replied.
"Done" Phoebe called from her place next to the table.
"You must throw this potion at the place where Prue is" Gideon instructed.
"The manor" Paige offered.
"Not just the manor, the exact room" he elaborated.
"How the hell are we supposed to know that?" Piper screeched.
"The spell that Phoebe has will guide you to her exact location, once you do, throw the potion and you'll find your sister standing in front of you" he answered, and they all nodded.
Prue walked back into the attic, fully dressed with Andy trailing behind her.
"Why are we back here, Prue?" he asked.
"I don't know how to explain it, I just feel like I need to be here" she replied, before she turned around and gasped.
"Andy, you're transparent" she pointed out, her voice laced with fear as the meaning of her words dawned on her.
"It's time for you to go" he told her, and the tears instantly pooled into her eyes.
"I'll never stop loving you" she vowed, "and Andie will always know who her daddy is" she added tearfully.
"I know, but I need you to promise me that you'll stop blaming yourself for what happened to me. I would rather die a thousand times than live in a world where you weren't" he said, as he bent down to kiss her forehead one last time, "I love you Prue" her voice was merely a whisper.
Before she could get a chance to open her eyes, Phoebe's relieved voice reached her ears, and she opened her eyes in time to see all three sisters and Leo slumping their shoulders in relief, and Chris fading into view behind them.
"YES. I'm back" he exclaimed joyfully, and all four of them turned around in shock.
"Wait, how…."Piper trailed off, as she saw the tears pooled into her sister's eyes, she knew that look. She had only seen it once before, the look of absolute defeat. She closed the distance between them, and pulled her into a hug, "I'm so sorry honey" she whispered into her hair, and Prue just buried her face in her shoulder, moving one hand to wrap around Phoebe when she joined the hug, and clasped Paige's hand when she offered it. Both Leo and Chris just stood by and watched as the three younger Halliwells consoled their older sister.
"Good to have you back" Leo greeted Chris, pulling him into a one armed hug, which Chris didn't resist, though his eyes didn't leave his mother's broken ones.
"I know that we all need to talk, but can we do that in the morning, I'm beat" Prue said pleadingly.
"Sure thing sweetie" Phoebe cooed, "sweet dreams"
