I woke up to my phone ringing loudly next to me. I groaned, reaching over grab it and silence it.
"Hello?"
I croaked, my voice thick with sleep. An all too familiar voice came out of the speaker.
"Good morning sparky, you sound like you did some major drinking last night."
Tony teased-I could almost hear his smile through the phone. I groaned again when I saw the time on my alarm clock, unhappy that I'd been woken up so early on a Friday.
"Whaddo you want, Iron Butt?"
I asked, forcing myself to sit up in my mess of a bed. I couldn't bring myself to actually open my eyes as I sat there listening to Tony talk.
"I'm having a get together tomorrow, you should come. No ones seen you at HQ since you started babysitting Loki."
He sounded like he was demanding rather than suggesting I attend, and I sighed.
"Is anyone I know going to be there?"
I inquired tiredly, doubting that I'd know many of the guests. There was a pause on the other end and I waited patiently for him to reply. As I waited, I shook Loki awake, earning an irritated grunt from the god before he rolled away from me. I sighed in annoyance.
"Come on, Loki. Get up, you've got work, remember?"
I said, shaking the Aesir again, this time with more force.
"Whoa, wait, what the hell is Rock of Ages doing in your bed, Eris?"
Tony nearly shouted into the phone. I took in a deep breath, trying to prepare myself to tell him.
"Oh, well, he just likes to sneak in here sometimes when he can't sleep. He usually passes right out anyway, nothing to worry about."
I laughed, trying to downplay the actual things that happen with him in bed. It wasn't like we were having sex, but I knew that Tony didn't want Loki within 100 feet of me. I hoped my tone would calm him and save my neck.
"Yeah, Eris, I'm gonna need you to put me on speaker."
Tony 'suggested' firmly. I was about to protest but I did as I was told anyway.
"Okay?"
I drawled, letting him know he was on speaker.
"Alright, Reindeer Games, listen up. Sleeping better be the only thing you do in her bed, you get me?"
My eyes widened in surprise at Tony's words. He had never threatened anyone knowing I was within earshot before. Loki let out an amused huff before rebutting.
"Oh, I could get away with much more than that in her bed, Stark."
The god sneered at my phone. Blood rushed straight to my cheeks and my mouth fell open in shock. I was mortified by what the god had said.
"Loki!"
I growled, punching him as hard as I could in his arm. He winced a bit, not having expected it. A string of yelled obscenities were flying through the phone, making Loki snicker quietly at my side. I glared at him as Tony continued to curse and threaten the dark haired god.
"ANYWAYS,"
I said loudly, cutting Tony off. I sighed when he kept his mouth shut.
"I don't really want to go to a party if I don't know anyone there."
I continued, feeling thoroughly annoyed by Loki's antics.
"Come on, Eris, you need to get out every once in a while."
Tony argued, not letting me go so easily. Thankfully he'd forgotten Loki's comment for the moment.
"Fine, I'll go."
I began, my eyes wandering back to Loki, who was now standing and stretching, like he always did when he woke up. I smiled, and added,
"But only if I can take Loki."
I said with a sly smirk.
"What?"
Loki and Tony asked in unison, making me giggle.
"Take it or leave it, Tin-man."
I told him with a triumphant smile. I took Tony off speaker, just in case he wanted to start cursing again. He groaned in an annoyed fashion at first to convey his unwillingness.
"Fine, Reindeer Games can come. But you better keep him on a tight leash, Eris. I'm not going to put up with him messing up my party."
The billionaire said in a slight growl. I rolled my eyes.
"He's more than capable of behaving himself."
I shot back hotly.
"He'd better be."
Was all Tony said before hanging up. I clicked my tongue in annoyance and placed my phone back in my lap. Tony sent a text with information about attire and the time of the party and I turned my phone off, in case he wanted to continue to bug me. Loki spoke up then.
"Where are you dragging me to?"
He asked with an amused smirk. I sighed to myself and fell back onto my pillow.
"Tony's having a party tomorrow, and he's forcing me to go."
I mumbled into my pillow sleepily. He turned towards me, a brow raised curiously.
"Are you going back to sleep?"
He inquired, incredulously. I grunted in response and burrowed deeper into my cushy bedding. I heard him walk over to my side of the bed, and he spoke beside me now.
"Just because you do not wish to go, does not mean you should punish me for it."
Loki grumbled, I'm sure he crossed his arms too but I had my head turned the other way.
"I'm not punishing you, princess. I want you to come because I enjoy your company. Plus, if you don't, I'll be really lonely. You won't let me be lonely, will you?"
I crooned in a whiny voice, giving him a stare with soft-boiled eyes and a pout. Loki shut his eyes and growled.
"Why must you always use that expression on me?"
He asked rhetorically as he walked out into the hall. I took that as a yes and smiled, settling back down into my bed. About a half hour later, I was shaken out of my light slumber.
"What?"
I groaned, not bothering to move.
"I'm leaving, get up."
He ordered. Something about him bossing me around made me smile.
"Do I have to?"
I whaled, really not wanting to get up yet.
"If you want free coffee, you will come with me."
The god spoke directly in my ear, his voice gentle. I felt shivers run down my spine and I let out a moan, thank the Norns I had a pillow against my mouth-that made it sound a lot less lustful. I pulled myself up and dragged myself out of my warm nest of blankets to dress myself in pants-half asleep, I didn't really notice or care that Loki was still standing there. When I turned back to him, he bore a strange look in his eyes but I didn't pay it any mind and followed him out of my apartment. Halfway to the coffee shop, I realized his hair was different.
"Since when do you wear your hair up?"
I asked, sounding a little rude. I was just surprised that he'd done it. He looked down at me, furrowing his brow.
"Does it look bad?"
He questioned, brushing a hand over it. I smiled and shook my head.
"No, it looks nice. I've just never seen you do anything with it before."
I explained as we walked. The Aesir just shrugged and we continued in silence. When we got to the shop, I said hello to Ronni (inviting him to the party while I was at it), grabbed my free coffee, and said goodbye to Loki. Once I was home and had finished my coffee, I perused my closet for something nice to wear for tomorrow. I only had one dress and it was far too short for a party like this. I cursed myself, now I'd have to go buy a new one along with a suit for Loki. I guessed we could just go together after he got off at three.
A Little After Three
Loki's POV
As soon as I walked out of the coffee shop, I saw Eris waiting for me in her car by the curb. I walked over to the car and she rolled down the window so I could hear her speak.
"Get in, loser. We're going shopping."
She said with a grin. I smirked, recognizing the line from a movie Eris had shown me. I didn't really care for it, but as long as she didn't make me wear pink on Wednesdays, then I could deal with it.
"Why are we going shopping? I know we just went to the grocery store yesterday."
I inquired as I got in the passengers seat of the vehicle. She smiled a bit as she pulled into the street before explaining.
"I need a dress for the party, and you need a suit."
She answered simply, eyes focused on the road as she drove. I gave her a knowing grin and allowed an illusion to cover my body in the form of a suit. She glanced at me for a moment and laughed to herself.
"Well, I need a dress. And you can't do that for an entire evening, can you?"
She questioned, raising a brow.
"It's a fairly simply illusion to hold, so yes, I believe I could manage."
I replied just before looking out the window to my right.
At some dress place...thingy...
Eris looked around the boutique, asking me to help her and look for a floor length dress. She tried several on, all of different fabrics, styles, and colors. While she was busy changing into a red dress, I decided to look through the dresses once more. I couldn't help but think this was all a bit ridiculous, that no one should fuss over dresses like this. I also didn't understand why I was needed there when Ronni would be going to keep her company as well. That's when an emerald dress caught my attention. I took it off the rack and examined it more closely. It was a fine dress, with a pleasing color scheme of green and gold. I would be sure to have Eris try this one next. Eris came out of the changing stall in the red dress with a disappointed frown.
"You don't like it?"
I asked, coming over to her. She sighed and nodded her head.
"Red really washes me out...this is getting pointless."
She complained, crossing her arms sullenly. My lips turned up into a smile and I presented her with the dress I had selected, knowing she would like it: or at least find amusement in my choice. She looked at it with glowing eyes and then up at me with a smirk that I returned.
"We may as well match."
I suggested, handing her the dress. She took it and turned her back to me.
"Can you unzip me?"
She asked, looking at me over her shoulder. I gave a short nod before pulling the zipper down her dress. It opened now all the way down to the small of her back. I smiled at the glimpse I got of her precious back dimples that rest at the base of her spine. She murmured a thanks before go back into the changing stall to try on the dress I gave her. A few minutes later, she stepped out of the stall, cheeks flushed and posture slouched in embarrassment.
"Loki, this dress is beautiful, but I...I don't have to confidence to wear something like this to a party."
She confessed, looking at the floor guiltily. I frowned slightly and placed a reassuring hand on her cheek.
"There is no reason for you to feel shame or dread when showcasing your beauty. Look,"
I began, turning her towards the full view mirror.
"You are stunning in this dress, if I may say so. I believe this dress looks almost as bewitching as the woman wearing it."
I murmured from behind her, resting my hands on her bare shoulders. Before, I hadn't noticed the open back that was garnished with thin, gold chains and a snake holding them all together. I was sure she was more concerned about the amount of cleavage it showed, but I could see in her eyes that she was beginning to like the way it looked on her. She turned to me with a smile and nodded.
"Then, I guess I'll take it."
She announced, walking back into the stall to change. While she payed for the dress, I put the rejected items back on a random rack before joining her up at the register. We then retreated back to the apartment for the evening.
Saturday
Eris' POV
It was finally the evening of Tony's party, and I was getting ready before Ronni and Loki got here. They both had to work until closing tonight, so they would be meeting me at my apartment-from there, we would get ready here and head to the Tower. I was just putting the final touches on my makeup before slipping into my skintight evening gown. It hugged every curve of my body, and it accented my butt very well, now that I was looking at it. I sat down on the edge of my bed and hiked my skirt up so I could reach my feet to put my golden heels on. As I slid my left foot into my shoe, I noticed something on the bottom of my foot. I dropped the heel and turned my foot over so I could see. A long scar ran across the sole of my foot and I realized it was from when I had healed Loki. I smiled fondly at it and traced a finger along it.
'You missed a spot, Loki.'
I thought to myself before putting the other heel on.
Loki's POV
Ronni and I finally closed the shop at eight that night. On our way back to the apartment, my cellular device started ringing. I stopped walking and pulled it out of my back pocket to see that it was Kara calling.
"Hello?"
"Hello darling, I would like to have your company at my place for zeh night..."
Her voice was silken with an underlying lust that turned my blood cold and hot at the same time. I let out a rueful sigh.
"Kara, I have plans with Eris tonight. Remember, I told you yesterday at the shop?"
I reminded her, gaining a look from Ronni. I put a finger up and he nodded in understanding. Kara made a whining noise on the other end of the line.
"But you are mine, not hers, Loki. Come to me tonight, and I will show you zhat you are more zhan just my slave, you are zeh center of my universe, what keeps me alive."
She husked into the phone. My brows furrowed at the word slave.
"Kara, I can't. I promised I would be there-"
"Save your voice for ozher things, my darling. For you will be needing your breath."
She murmured, breaking my resolve in an instant. I swallowed hard, knowing I may regret this.
"Alright, I'll be there soon."
I replied quietly before ending the call. Ronni looked a little bewildered, only having heard my side of the conversation.
"Tell Eris that I will meet you both at the party a little later, there's something going on with Kara."
I said, feeling guilt for the first time in a very long while. Actually, I'm sure I hadn't felt guilt like this since I was a child and had accidentally turned myself into mare and-no, no, this wasn't the time to think about that or Sleipnir.
"Oh, alright. I'll let her know."
He confirmed with a nod. I smiled weakly.
"Thank you. I should not be long."
I told him, before turning in the opposite direction.
Eris' POV
I heard Ronni's voice come out of the intercom, which I didn't understand at first but I let him in and answered the door when he knocked.
"Where's Loki?"
I asked, stepping aside to let him inside. Ronni looked a bit uncomfortable and scratched the back of his neck before answering.
"He had something to take care of."
He told me, looking up at me with concerned eyes. My brows furrowed in worry.
"Is everything alright?"
I inquired, feeling slight dread at knowing the answer.
"I think so, he just said something was wrong with Kara."
He explained a little less tensely. At the mention of Kara, I was less worried about Loki, and more angry at him for blowing me off for someone else.
"Well, I hope it isn't anything too bad."
I muttered, a little sullen now that I knew what was going on. Ronni snorted and turned to me with an incredulous grin on his face.
"What?"
I snapped, crossing my arms impatiently. He snorted again in amusement and turned to me fully.
"You can cut the act, hun. Loki isn't here."
He said with a smirk. I didn't understand.
"What act?"
I demanded, my rage fueled by Loki's rare act of idiocy. The blond laughed again and leaned back against the kitchen counter as he regarded me with teasing eyes.
"I know you, Eris. You hate this chicks guts."
He accused, smiling now at my expression. I gaped at him, pissed that he'd said that, but more pissed because he was right.
"I don't even know her-"
"You don't have to know her to hate her. You've told me a billion times how much you care for Loki. And now that somebody's taken him away from you, you can hardly stand it."
He began, walking into my bedroom with me following him inside.
"Frankly, I'm shocked you're not in tears half of the time."
He finished, tossing his dress shirt, tie and suit jacket on my bed. As he looked at me with those sky blue, sympathetic eyes, I could feel my eyes beginning to water. He rushed over to me, cupping my face.
"No, no, no, don't cry! You'll screw up your makeup and you look so pretty tonight! Don't you dare, that's an order."
He said, pulling my head to rest against his chest. I laughed a little, a few tears pouring from my eyes. I pushed him away playfully after a moment.
"You need to get dressed. And I have to fix my makeup now, asshole."
I joked, crossing over into my adjourning bathroom. I quickly cleaned away the smudged makeup with a wet Q-tip and replaced the now faded eyeliner with a new coat. When I met back with Ronni in the living room, he was struggling to tie his black tie. I smirked and shook my head in mock disapproval as I walked up to him and took the mess of knots from his hands. I made quick work of his tie and tightened it around his neck. When I finished I smiled up at him and admired my work.
"Thanks, I'd be lost without you."
He thanked me, kissing my cheek as he pulled his jacket on.
"Come one, let's go. Loki said he'd meet us at the party."
Ronni insisted, wrapping and arm around my shoulder as he guided me to the front door. I nodded in agreement but other than that, I was silent for the entire way to the Tower.
Loki's POV
As soon as Kara's door opened, I was pulled inside and pressed up against the closed door. I was surprised to say the very least, as I looked down at Kara in confusion. I was about to speak, but she pressed her lips against mine in an instant. Every coherent thought or feeling I had was dissolved in that moment, replaced by a strange numbness. I could do little more than comply as she lead me to her bedroom.
Eris' POV
When we arrived at the Tower, Tony's party was already in full swing. The room was filled with boisterous laughter and talking while music played in the background. Ronni and I didn't get very far before Tony found us.
"Hey, you made it! You look great."
He complemented as he went in for a hug. I blushed a little and smiled.
"Thanks. Tony, this is Ronni, he's my fairy godmother from college."
I explained, introducing the two with a smile. I made sure to put emphasis on fairy, so Tony wouldn't feel that Ronni was another threat to my purity. (Which, was pointless considering the few times Matthew and I did the frick frack.) The two shook hands and exchanged a few words before I was pulled back into the conversation.
"Where's Rock of Ages?"
Tony inquired, raising a brow. My mood immediately fell and the perceptive blond next to me answered for me.
"He got caught up in a personal matter. He'll be meeting us here soon."
He replied to the billionaire-playboy-philanthropist. Tony glanced at me for a moment before nodding in understanding. I didn't want to be here right now, especially with the way I was feeling at the moment.
"I need a drink."
I murmured, walked off towards the bar. Ronni soon followed and placed a comforting hand on my shoulder.
"I'm sure he'll be here soon."
The young man assured me as he took a seat next to mine.
Loki's POV
Nothing about what was happening seemed right, but I couldn't control anything about the situation. Any and all control was in Kara's hands somehow. Her face loomed over mine as she straddled my on her bed. Her hand rested gently on my bare chest, and she smiled suddenly down at me, those blue eyes now darkened with lust.
"Your heart flutters like a bird beneath my hands. Tell me, is it out of fear of me, or the desire my hands stir in you?"
She whispered, unable to hide her pride-filled grin. I didn't answer, unable to speak under whatever spell she had enchanted me with, but whatever sanity was left of me then was extremely frustrated with the situation at hand. I was never one to be dominated, ever. Not in battle, not in debate, and certainly not in the bedroom.
Eris' POV
It had been two hours. I had been waiting here on my ass like a fool for Loki to show up, and I hadn't seen him yet. Luckily, Ronni had been monitoring my alcohol intake, so I hadn't been able to drown my anger and hurt. I sat at the bar with a deep frown set upon my face as I thought to myself.
"I just hope everything is okay, I hope no one is hurt..."
I tried to soothe my own mind into believing that load of crap. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt a warm, gentle hand rest on my shoulder. I turned to see Tony smiling at me, but there was an undertone of pity to it that made me angry.
"Hey spark-plug, why don't you do a song for us, hm? I haven't heard you play in years..."
He suggested, trying his best to distract me from my feelings. I smiled sheepishly and shook my head.
"No, no, I-I haven't practiced in a really long time. I'd make a fool out of myself."
I replied, brushing his hopefulness off. Ronni, Tony, and nearby guests that had heard the conversation all began to encourage me to preform for them. I didn't feel up to it, but perhaps I could let out my emotions through music instead of getting blind stinking drunk. I sighed in resignation and stood, ready as I'd ever be to do this. The crowd of strangers cheered me on as Tony guided me to the grand piano he had on a raised platform. Oh god, what was I even going to play? I'd just have to pull out something I know by heart.
"Hello."
Said the man sitting at the piano. He smiled up at me but I didn't have any sort of facial reaction other than the dread stuck on my face.
"Hi."
I replied quietly, feeling very uncomfortable.
"Would you like to sing a duet?"
He inquired, still smiling friendly. I nodded, feeling it may be easier if I could have a partner with me on this 'stage'. As I took a seat on the reflective bench, my heart began to beat against my rib cage like it was trying to escape. I swallowed, my throat having gone dry without warning.
"Do you know 'Stay'?"
He asked, raising a brow hopefully. I smiled softly and nodded. He grinned and nodded back at me.
"Whenever you're ready."
He whispered. I took a deep breath in and slowly released it before putting my fingers on the keys.
"All along it was a fever. A cold sweat hot-headed believer. I threw my hands in the air, said, "Show me something,". He said, "If you dare, come a little closer." Round and around and around and around we go. Oh now, tell me now, tell me now, tell me now you know. Not really sure how to feel about it. Something in the way you move. Makes me feel like I can't live without you. It takes me all the way. I want you to stay."
The stranger came in on his cue next.
"It's not much of a life you're living. It's not just something you takeāit's given. Round and around and around and around we go. Oh now, tell me now, tell me now, tell me now you know. Not really sure how to feel about it. Something in the way you move. Makes me feel like I can't live without you. It takes me all the way. I want you to stay."
Loki's POV
Once Kara finally seemed to fall asleep, the seemed to have warn off and I pulled my clothes back on, heading straight for the Tower. When I arrived in the room where the party was being held, I looked around for Eris. That's when I realized everything was quiet, save for two people singing.
"Ooh, ooh, ooh, the reason I hold on. Ooh, ooh, ooh, 'cause I need this hole gone. Funny you're the broken one but I'm the only one who needed saving. 'Cause when you never see the light it's hard to know which one of us is caving."
Eris was singing and playing the instrument she had shown me before. But she wasn't alone-a young man around her age was sitting next to her closely, singing in harmony with her. My blood boiled at the smiles and looks they shared as they preformed.
Eris's POV
"Not really sure how to feel about it. Something in the way you move. Makes me feel like I can't live without you. It takes me all the way. I want you to stay, stay. I want you to stay, oh."
Everyone clapped loudly. If they hadn't been standing already, I was sure there would have been a standing ovation. The stranger and I both stood and took a quick bow. I turned to him to shake his hand.
"I'm Hayden, by the way."
He mentioned, blushing a little from embarrassment. I chuckled.
"I'm Eris."
I replied with a smile.
"Encore! Encore! Encore!"
I was filled with horror at the crowd's words and almost refused before noticing Loki was making it closer through the sea of human bodies. I avoided eye contact and smiled at the crowd before turning back to Hayden.
"Whaddo ya say?"
He asked with a charming smile. I nodded and took a seat next to him again. I smirked as a song came to mind.
"It's a solo, but can you play 'Over the Love'?"
I inquired sheepishly. He nodded and he began to play.
"Ever since I was a child, I've turned it over in my mind. I sang by that piano, tore my yellow dress and, cried and cried and cried. And I don't wanna see what I've seen, to undo what has been done. Turn off all the lights, let the morning come. Now there's green light in my eyes, and my lover on my mind. And I'll sing from the piano, tear my yellow dress and, cry and cry and cry, over the love of you."
Ronni was cheering like a loud, drunken idiot and I smiled.
"On this champagne, drunken hope, against the current, all alone, everybody, see, I love him. 'Cause it's a feeling that you get, when the afternoon is set, on a bridge into the city. And I don't wanna see what I've seen, to undo what has been done. Turn off all the lights, let the morning come."
I would look off into the crowd every now and then, but I was always sure to avoid Loki's heavy stare.
"Now there's green light in my eyes, and my lover on my mind. And I'll sing from that piano, tear my yellow dress and, cry and cry and cry and, over the love of you. Cry and cry and cry and, over the love of you. Cry and cry and cry and, over the love of you. Cry and cry and cry and cry. I can see the green light, I can see it in your eyes. I can see the green light, I can see it in your eyes. I can see the green light, I can see it in your eyes. I can see the green light, I can see it in your-"
I glanced down finally, meeting my companions wide eyes. I hadn't realized I'd trailed off until now, and finished the song.
"...Eyes."
Again the audience cheered and both Hayden and I took a bow. Luckily, they had not requested another encore, because I had fully exhausted my will to sing for the rest of the night. My new acquaintance and I made out way down into the crowd and spoke with one another more in depth. I found out the he was hired by Tony to preform for a few hours and that he'd brought his wife along with him. While we were trying to find Hayden's wife, we bumped into Ronni.
"Oh my god, you guys were electric up there! You two have to do it again sometime!"
He gushed, fanning his hand dramatically in the air. I chuckled and blushed again for what seemed like the hundredth time that night. When I looked back to Hayden, his eyes were focused on someone over his shoulder. He sighed and turned back to me and Ronni with a slight frown.
"It was so great meeting you two, but my wife says we need to go home. We only have the babysitter until midnight."
He said, dismissing himself quickly. I sighed and smiled slightly.
"He's a nice guy. But I doubt I'll be running into him on purpose anytime soon."
I admitted in a murmur to my blond friend. He smiled and gave a nod towards someone. I looked up to see Loki approaching us with a grin; it made me all the more irritated with him thinking he could get away with ditching me. I crossed my arms impatiently and the raven haired man spoke.
"You were wonderful up there, Eris."
He complimented, making me role my eyes.
"Thanks, how nice of you to finally show up."
I spat, before turning and walking away from the god. People could read the expression on my face and they knew to move out of my way as I walked passed them. A hand grabbed my shoulder gently, and I stopped for a moment, not bothering to look behind me.
"Eris, I'm sorry."
His voice was sincere and it made my heart ache that much more, but I wouldn't give in to him. I whirled around and brushed his hand off of me, frowning up at him.
"I don't want to hear it, Loki. We had a deal! And you blew me off to go hang out with your girlfriend."
I forced myself to omit the word 'stupid' before the word 'girlfriend'. My face softened slightly as I just watched him standing there without any excuse.
"I just thought you were better than that,"
The Aesir's head snapped up at that, a look of confusion on his features.
"Coming at someones beckon call..."
I finished, exiting the room without any further protests from Loki. I waited in my car for ten minutes to see if he would follow me-he didn't. But as soon as I was back at my apartment, he materialized in the living room. I was caught off guard but I just continued past him and into my room. This time he followed, and I stopped in the middle of my room, waiting for him to speak.
"Eris, please..."
Loki whispered, his hands lightly gripping both of my arms. I hung my head to hide the tears forming in my eyes.
"I don't know what happened to me this evening, but I was not myself. Every time I tried to gain control of my thoughts and actions, I was pulled deeper into this...senselessness. I'm sorry I was not there for you this night, but I fully intend to make up for my absence."
He turned me around to face him and smiled down at me. I sniffled and wiped an eyes as casually as I could.
"Yeah? What do you plan to do?"
I asked skeptically, raising a brow. He smiled more now.
"I haven't the faintest idea yet, but! I know we will spend all of tomorrow together, alright?"
He suggested, squeezing my arms a bit in his hands while his thumbs traced circles into my skin. I bit my lip at the feeling but hoped it just looked like I was thinking the gods proposal over.
"Alright, we'll spend tomorrow together."
I replied, not very enthusiastically. Inside I was very pleased, but I still felt the sting from earlier. Without much warning or grace, Loki pulled me into his chest and wrapped his arms around me firmly.
"I'll see you in the morning, dove."
He murmured into my hair before releasing me. I was shocked that he was going to his own room instead of staying to sleep in mine, but I shook it off, maybe he just wanted to give me space before tomorrow. I stripped out of my dress, washed my face, unpinned my hair but left it dirty, and put on a pair of pajamas before crawling into bed. I was so exhausted, I thought I might actually be able to get to sleep with Loki in my bed for once.
Hey! Okay, yeah, this took forever and that totally sucks but hopefully the length will make up for that! I want to thank you all so much for reading and commenting and following and everything! Your support and praise really does mean the world to me, so thank you. Hopefully I'll get the next chapter out with a shorter wait time, but who knows. Also, sorry about the poll, it was my first one ever so it didn't go very well. Another side note, I kinda just threw Slepnir in there, no real reason why, just thought it would be kinda funny. Another other side note, if you follow LokisDirtyWhispers on tumblr, then you'll probably see some familiar phrases here and throughout the rest of the story. Anyways, I'd love your guy's opinion, do you guys want me to write the fluffiness that is Loki and Eris spending the day together, or would you prefer I write ploty chapter next? Let me know in the comments! Love you guys! Xoxo
