Five Years Later
Part 66
When Rachel awoke on Saturday morning, she couldn't help but smile as her eyes fluttered open seeing Thad still asleep beside her. Even though she'd hoped things would go the way they did, she never expected it to turn out the way it did. And while she was comfortable, curled up next to him, she knew it probably wouldn't be long till he woke up and would want coffee. So, Rachel carefully pushed herself up as to not disturb him and slid out of bed. As she took in the clothes all over the floor, she giggled softly before grabbing a pair of panties from the drawer, and then her robe. Once it was tied tight around her, Rachel took another look at Thad asleep before heading out.
She must've been more tired than she realized as she honestly jumped upon laying eyes on Santana who was sitting at the table sipping her coffee. "Morning." Rachel said softly before going to grab two cups out of the cabinet to pour them coffee. "You're up early."
"I couldn't help myself." Santana replied. "Is Thad still sleeping?" Hearing those words leave her mouth, Rachel froze with the coffee pot above the cups. "Is he?"
"You…you know he's here?" Rachel said before pouring a lone cup as there was no way Santana was going to let her go back to her room without talking.
"I do." Santana told her as a smile crept to her face. "Enjoy yourself last night?"
"Yes." Rachel replied before sitting down at the table across from her. "Um, how do you know Thad's here…if you don't mind me asking?"
"Honestly?" Rachel nodded before taking a sip of her coffee. "You two lost track of time and I came home as you two were, how should I put this, finishing up." The way Rachel's eyes bugged out, it took every bit of control Santana had not to laugh loudly. "I had no idea you were so vocal Rachel. You're quite the little minx."
"Santana…please…"
"Relax Rach; I'm not going to mention what I heard to Thad, though I doubt he'd be embarrassed considering his personality. So, was it good?"
"Good, would be an understatement." Rachel told her before taking another sip of her coffee, a smile visible on her face. "Mind-blowing, is more like it. I experienced things I've never experienced before." The looked of shock on Santana's face, caused Rachel to giggle. "It's true."
"I'm honestly not surprised to hear he's a stud in bed, not in the slightest." Santana said to her. "All of those boys have a certain swagger about them. Hell, have you ever noticed the smile Morgan's always sporting, especially around Jeff?" Rachel giggled some more as Santana had a point, all of the guys did have a certain swagger to them and Morgan was always in a good mood. "Care to tell me what new thing you experience?" Just as the question came out of her mouth, Santana's smile grew as Thad came into view. "Morning Thad."
"Morning." He replied before leaning over and kissing Rachel on the cheek. "Coffee?"
"Ready to enjoy." Santana told him, before shaking her head as Rachel's eyes were following him as he was wearing his suit pants, but no shirt. "You know, you didn't need to put those pants on. I've seen plenty of guys walking around in boxers." Thad turned to look at her after pouring his coffee, cocking his eye brow in the process.
"Boxer briefs actually." He said with a smirk before leaning back against the counter. "I'm not interrupting, am I?" Considering what could be an awkward situation, Thad didn't seem to be phased in the slightest."
"No." Rachel told him. "Did you sleep well?"
"Extremely." Thad replied, causing Santana to giggle. "Find something funny with my answer?" From the look on his face, Santana could tell he knew they'd been talking about him prior to him joining them.
"Not really." Santana told him. "So, do you two have plans for today or are you having a quiet day?" Rachel then looked at Thad who was drinking his coffee.
"Well, not surprisingly, I have some studying to do as usual." Thad said. "But besides that, I don't think we have plans. Rach, anything you'd like to do?"
"Not really, as quiet sounds nice considering my life is going to change starting Monday. What about you Santana, plans?" Rachel asked as Thad glanced at her and smiled.
"There is an exhibit at the MOMA that Jordan wants to go check out, so that's how we're going to be spending part of our day. From there, I'm not sure. Why, do you two want a bit of privacy?"
"Oh, we can have privacy, my place." Thad stated, causing Rachel's eyes to widen slightly. "Plus, I need to go home as that's where all my study material is. Not to mention, I really don't want to be wearing a suit for the rest of the day."
"Makes sense to me." Santana said to him. "Rach, are you going to go home with him?" Rachel nodded after exchanging a look with Thad. "Okay, since that's the case, you can shower first as I've got some time till I need to meet Jordan." Rachel smiled before getting up from her seat so that she could go shower. Once she walked away, Santana focused her attention on Thad. "Take good care of her Thaddeus as she doesn't let many people get close."
"Don't worry, I will."
"Oh, I'm going to always worry as I care about her." Santana told him. "But I trust you'll take care of her as I know you care about her as well."
"I care about her, a lot."
"I can tell." Santana then got up from her seat and walked up to him, then kissed him on the cheek. "And she cares a lot about you too." She'd just turned to walk away, but stopped and looked back over her shoulder. "I hope the two of you played it safe last night."
"Of course we did." Getting such a response from him, had them both smiling as it was clear they were both on the same page without stating it directly. Once she walked away, Thad headed back towards Rachel's room to finish getting dressed as he'd shower once they got back to his home. By the time Rachel returned from her shower, Thad was dressed and sitting on her bed waiting for her. "Feel refreshed?" He asked as she pulled out clothes to wear.
"I am." Rachel told him. "Thanks for making the bed."
"Don't mention it." Thad replied. "I figured since I helped mess it up, it was the least I could do." The smile on his face, warming her heart in a way she didn't think was possible. "Do you want to stop for breakfast on our way?"
"Don't you want to shower and change first?"
"Considering how hungry I am, I can wait. Plus, I won't be the first person to go out for breakfast in this town in the clothes I wore the night before." Thad then leaned back a bit as Rachel got dressed. "You should probably bring a change of clothes with you."
"And why is that?" Rachel asked as she pulled her hair up into a ponytail.
"Well if you decide to stay, you'll have something to wear tomorrow." When Rachel looked at him, Thad smiled. "I'm not saying you need to stay, I was just saying if you do. Also, even though last night was wonderful I'm not the type of guy that believes that because we've now slept together it's going to happen every time we're together."
"Though, you wouldn't object." Rachel replied catching him off-guard.
"No, I wouldn't. How about you?"
"When it happens again, you won't get any complaints from me."
"Good, as we're only getting started." After he spoke, Rachel looked directly at him. "It's true hun, last night was us getting to know what the other likes. Imagine what it's going to be like once we know exactly what the other enjoys." Rachel couldn't help but bite her lower lip as she knew he was right, it could only get better. Yet after what she experienced the night before, she wasn't sure how it could get better. When they looked at one another again, Rachel took a deep breath as she could feel her body begin to react to the thoughts in her head. Clearly, while Thad was being a gentleman in saying he was good if it didn't happen all the time, it was going to happen again sooner than he probably thought.
While the two of them were getting ready to head to breakfast, and then Thad's, Sebastian was slowly waking up as Blaine was still sleeping. After making his way out of bed, Sebastian looked at Blaine who was stretched out on his stomach, his naked body visible as he'd kicked the covers off at some point during the night. Having Blaine's backside on full display this way, Sebastian couldn't resist grabbing his camera from the dresser and taking a few shots. Images like this were certainly going to be appreciated once Blaine went on the road. Not to mention, while Sebastian found the sight extremely intoxicating, Blaine also looked quite innocent which was a contradiction in terms but fit Blaine well. There was so much more to Blaine than most would probably ever get to know, yet for those that knew him, they were lucky to experience it. And for Sebastian in particular, he got to experience all aspects of Blaine which was something he loved. As some of those aspects, were reserved solely for him.
After taking a few pictures, Sebastian set his camera back on the dresser before going to start a pot of coffee and checking the weather for the day. His hopes for the day were that he and Blaine could go out and do a bit more exploring as there were some places on the water he wanted to share with him. Once the coffee was done, Sebastian was tempted to go and wake Blaine, but decided against it. So after heading back into the room to put some comfortable clothes on, Sebastian headed out onto the back deck to enjoy his coffee. While it was brisk out considering it was March, it didn't change Sebastian's mind as he loved listening to the water crashing against the seawall, as well as the fresh air.
It was probably a half hour later when he looked to the side as a shadow fell across his legs. "Morning Killer." Sebastian said as he looked up at him. "Sleep well?" He asked as Blaine sipped his cup of coffee and soon nodded upon lowering his cup. "Care to join me?" Blaine nodded once again, and sat down beside him on the loveseat, curling up next to him. "It's beautiful, isn't it?"
"It is." Blaine said before yawning. "I can see why you love coming out here. How long have you been up?"
"A little more than an hour." Sebastian told him before wrapping an arm around him. "I didn't wake you, did I?"
"No." The sound of Blaine's voice when he spoke caused Sebastian to bring him a bit closer as he felt Blaine was adorable when he was waking. "You could've thrown the covers back over me though."
"But then I wouldn't have had that amazing view of your ass." Sebastian replied. "You know it's a weak spot of mine."
"I know that well." Blaine told him while resting his head on Sebastian's shoulder. "You grab it enough."
"I didn't get dubbed Mr. Grab-ass for just any reason after all." Sebastian said before kissing Blaine on top of his head. "Plus, I don't ever hear you complaining." Blaine glanced up at him and smiled. "What do you say to me making us breakfast since we stopped at the store before coming home last night?"
"I'd like that. Anything I can do?"
"No, as I'm going to take care of you this morning. You'll just have to sit there and look cute."
"I think I can do that." Blaine told him before looking out onto the water. For the two of them, with as hectic as their lives had been, this weekend was something they both needed, to get away from the city and enjoy some quiet time just for them.
Once they headed back into the house, Sebastian headed straight for the kitchen while Blaine went back into the bedroom for a moment. It didn't take him long to place his bag on the bed and pull his IPod out of it. Even though he knew he didn't need to do this, his resolve on the matter hadn't changed, he wanted Sebastian to hear his first single. When he walked back into the kitchen, Sebastian had his back towards him as he was already at work chopping as he was making them omelets. It only took a glance to the side to see a docking station on the opposing counter so Blaine didn't have to bother him. After getting the song cued up, Blaine hopped up on the island, remote in hand so he had the perfect view of Sebastian once it began.
The moment music began filling the kitchen, Sebastian turned to look at him, smiling as he did so. Then once the lyrics began, his eyes widened before slowly making his way towards Blaine who was softly singing along. Once he was close enough, Blaine took Sebastian's hands in his as he continued to sing and Sebastian listened.
The moment I looked into those green eyes
Something deep inside me came alive.
And though it took me time to realize
Now is our moment, now is our time.
Finally our love is truly alive
From jealous glances, to vicious lies
Nothing's going to break apart our lives
We've waited so long, to recognize
Now is our moment, now is our time
Just before the song finished, the two were kissing and Blaine was wrapping his legs around Sebastian's waist. When they finally paused long enough to catch their breath, Blaine leaned back enough that they couldn't begin again. "Should I take this to mean you like it?" Blaine asked after licking his lips.
"I love it B." Sebastian told him before caressing his cheek. "Wait, is this…" He didn't have to finish as Blaine slowly nodded. "Your first single is about us?"
"Yes. I planned on not letting anyone outside of the band hear it before it debuts, but while listening to it the other day I knew I needed to let you hear it. I mean, as you noticed it's about us and I wasn't sure how you were going to feel about it."
"What do you mean B?" Sebastian asked, slightly confused by what was going through Blaine's mind in that moment.
"How you'd feel about my first single being about us. Vincent and Malcolm had narrowed it down to three for the label to choose from and this is the one everyone loved the most, including me. While it's a love song in a sense, it's also a song about embracing life."
"I love it, and only those that know us will know that it is. Also, I can see why they chose it as it's catchy as hell Killer. But, Hummel isn't going to be happy when he hears it."
"I don't care if he's happy or not. As you mentioned, only those that know us will know the full story behind it. And if he admits the jabs in the song are about him, he's not going to be painting a pretty picture of himself."
"That's true. What does your band think of it?" Sebastian said as he wrapped his arms a bit tighter around Blaine, breakfast the furthest thing from his mind at the moment.
"They love it as well. It's as you noticed, it's catchy as hell so they've all be singing it quite a bit. And Justin loves the guitar riffs in it."
"For good reason as they truly show of his skills, as it does with everyone else. Each of them gets featured in their own way. Though, I'm a bit partial to your vocals." Sebastian then leaned in for a kiss. "But that shouldn't be a surprise." Blaine smiled up at him. "Have you figured out which idea you want to use for the video yet?" Blaine shook his head. "Since I've now heard it, if you want I can help you narrow it down."
"I'd like that." After he spoke, Blaine noticed the expression that came to Sebastian's face as the playlist had continued. "Yes, you're hearing more of what's on the album Bas. I have copies of all the tracks we've recorded."
"While I shouldn't ask, do you mind if you copy them for me? I mean, I won't let anyone else listen to them. And I'll still be buying your album and…" Sebastian's ramble got stopped by a kiss from Blaine who afterwards told him he'd copy them for him once they got home. With that taken care of, Sebastian finally stepped away to get back to fixing breakfast as Blaine set the table while they continued to listen to the new tracks. "These are all incredible B."
"Thank you. I hope you've noticed that quite a few are songs you picked out of my boxes of songs."
"I have, and I love the arrangements you've put with them. Everyone is going to freak out when they hear the album B."
"I hope so, as we really are putting our all into it."
"You can tell B, even if I didn't know already." Sebastian told him with a smile as he glanced over his shoulder. "None of you half-ass anything."
"Thank you."
By the time breakfast was done, the two sat at the table and talked while looking out onto the water. The more Blaine took in their surroundings, the more relaxed he became. When they were finishing up, Blaine's phone went off which earned him a look from Sebastian as they were going to try and stay disconnected that weekend. Yet they both knew going in, Blaine couldn't really turn his phone off with everything that was going on. After a quick glance at his phone, Blaine looked back at Sebastian and smiled, letting the call go to voice mail. "You could've gotten it."
"I can call Tina when we get back to the city. She probably has questions for when we go her way the week after next." As he finished, Blaine noticed Sebastian's expression change. "It won't be that bad Bas."
"I know, but that won't stop me from missing you."
"Nor I, you." Blaine replied while reaching out to take his hand that was on the table. "Plus it'll give us a chance to figure a few things out before summer."
"Very true." After he spoke, Blaine cocked his head to the side. "What is it B?" The main reason he asked is that Blaine had an expression on his face that always seemed to coincide with him thinking. "B."
"Nothing." He replied, though a smile crept across his face and it was anything but innocent.
"You can't say that, looking the way you are." Sebastian told him before bringing him out of his seat and onto his lap. "What's going through that mind of yours Killer?"
"I'll tell you later as I need to think it through a bit more, but I think you're going to like it if I can figure out the logistics."
"Blaine."
"Sebastian." Blaine stated before kissing him. "Let's get cleaned up and then you can take me to all those places you told me about last night." Knowing that new look on Blaine's face too well, Sebastian nodded before they both got up to clear the table and begin to clean up.
After the kitchen was clean, it was time they took showers as well. And while they could've easily joined one another, they didn't want to lose track of time. So, knowing they'd have plenty of time to enjoy themselves further once they got back they went to separate bathrooms to do so. When Blaine came walking back into Sebastian's room, he was surprised to see Sebastian sitting on the bed with his laptop open along with his camera. "Bas!" Blaine blurted out seeing one of the pictures Sebastian had taken that morning on the screen.
"Yes." Sebastian replied, looking at Blaine innocently, even batting his lashes for good measure.
"Just tell me why." Blaine stated as he moved beside him, before being brought down onto the bed beside him.
"Because you're gorgeous." Sebastian told him, no hint of innuendo in his voice, just sincerity. "It's actually a very artistic shot B. And while I didn't take it for artistic purposes, I can see it for more than what some might see at face value."
"You mean a shot of my naked backside."
"Precisely." Sebastian then leaned over to kiss him on the cheek. "Do you want to see the others as I actually took a few?" Blaine nodded so Sebastian paged over so Blaine could see the others. And while he might've been shocked, he started to look at them outside of face value as Sebastian had mentioned. They truly were beautiful shots. "That's one of my favorites." Sebastian said of the current one on the screen as you could still see Blaine's naked form, but the sunlight lit Blaine's face in a rather angelic way. "I'm sorry if me taking them bothered you, I can delete them if you want."
"Don't." Blaine told him before giving his hand a squeeze. "My initial reaction was based on shock that you'd done so. But they are actually, really tasteful Bas." He then saw Sebastian turn his head to look at him. "I mean it. Just do me one favor though."
"You name it B."
"Don't put them on your phone as I wouldn't want them accidentally getting out."
"I hadn't planned on it. And don't worry; right now my laptop isn't even connected to the internet for that reason. I was downloading them as I didn't want them on the camera when we went out incase anything happened. Then once we're home, I'll put them on the external drive that stays in my office." Sebastian then kissed him. "Last thing you need is with your career starting pictures of this nature getting out no matter how tasteful they are."
"True, though I'd survive my bare ass on display."
"Is that your way of telling me I can't take any shots of you lying on your back?" When he spoke, Blaine saw the token Sebastian smirk on his face that was anything but innocent. "Come on B."
"I'll think about it." Blaine then kissed him once more before getting off the bed. "Now, finish up as we have a drive to start if I remember correctly." It was only moments later when Sebastian got up after putting his camera back into his bag so they could get going. After grabbing their coats, the two were soon on their way. More than a few times during the drive, Blaine glanced over at Sebastian who looked more than content behind the wheel of his car.
Considering Sebastian's personality, most would be surprised to see how much he enjoyed the outdoors and nature considering he seemed a natural fit for living in the big city. Yet once they made it out to the Montauk Point Lighthouse, Blaine could see a glimmer in Sebastian's eyes most didn't see too often. Then after grabbing his camera out of the back, they began to walk and take in the sights. With it being March, it was rather quiet as it chilly being on the water's edge. But they'd both dressed appropriately and were able to enjoy themselves. As Sebastian described the area, Blaine could tell he came out there quite often. So after taking in the lighthouse, they headed down towards the water.
Once they got settled on the rocks, Blaine felt Sebastian's arm wrap around him before moving his camera before them to get a picture. While Blaine could take a decent selfie, he was surprised to see the shot Sebastian was able to take of the two with his actual camera. Seeing the smile on Blaine's face, Sebastian put the camera before them once again to take another, but this time kissed Blaine on the cheek while snapping it. Moments like this between the two were ones their friends probably would rarely see as with it being only them, all of Sebastian's walls were down as were Blaine's.
"Do you think we could come back out here after I come home this summer?" Blaine asked softly as he leaned back against Sebastian.
"Of course we can." Sebastian told him before pressing a kiss to his cheek. "I take that to mean you find being out here as peaceful as I do." Blaine nodded. "I'm happy to hear it. It's easy to get lost in the sound of the surf, isn't it?" Blaine nodded once again. "Just a bit of warning though Killer, it's not going to be as quiet next time."
"I know, but time alone with you after everything is going to be exactly what I need."
"Me too B. And since we have such a beautiful view from the house as well, we won't have to leave if we don't want to."
"I thought the same thing Bas."
They only sat there for a bit longer, before getting up so Sebastian could finish showing Blaine some of his favorite spots. It didn't come as much of a surprise that most of his favorite places were on the water, yet they were each quite different from each other. By the time they headed back to the house, the sun had already set for the day. Considering they'd eaten out, once inside the house they headed straight for the family room. With one look from Sebastian, Blaine grabbed a few of the floor pillows from off to the side as Sebastian started a fire to help take the nip out of the air.
After placing the pillows near Sebastian, Blaine headed towards the kitchen earning him a look from Sebastian. But he soon smiled when he saw Blaine getting two wine glasses out of the cabinet before opening a bottle. "And here I thought you might not want any more." Sebastian told him as Blaine got settled beside him on the floor, in front of the fire.
"I only had one glass with dinner Bas." Blaine replied as he poured as Sebastian held the glasses. "And considering the setting now, it would feel wrong to not have any." He then leaned in and kissed Sebastian softly on the lips. "Thank you for a wonderful day Bas."
"You're welcome, but it's not over yet." Sebastian told him before taking a sip as they both leaned back a little. "And you're right; wine fits the setting as all movies have pretty much told us this is appropriate." While he spoke, he felt Blaine's hand slide up beneath his shirt and caress his chest. "B, do you want to truly fulfill all those clichés the movies have put into our heads."
"I am a sucker for romantic clichés." Blaine replied before kissing down Sebastian's jaw. "As long as they're done with the right person. And you Bas are definitely the right person." Blaine's lips were just moving to his neck when Sebastian moved to the side causing Blaine to stop. "What's wrong?"
"I'm going to say something that's going to sound completely absurd, but if I don't I know it's going to continue bothering me." Sebastian stated before taking another sip of his wine before looking at Blaine's big hazel eyes.
"Did I do something wrong Bas?"
"No." Sebastian told him before setting his wine glass aside and caressing Blaine's cheek. "I personally love that you're as much of an instigator as I am when it comes to our sex life."
"Then what is it?"
"Did you ever do this with…with Hummel?" Sebastian said, half expecting quite the reaction from Blaine. But instead, Blaine leaned against his hand before looking Sebastian in the eyes. With as confident as Sebastian was, it didn't surprise Blaine anymore when he let his few insecurities show.
"No, I didn't." Blaine replied. "Would it have bothered you if I had?"
"Honestly, I don't know." Sebastian told him. "Yet, I couldn't stop myself from asking you."
"This would be all us Bas." Blaine then kissed his on the lips. "Remember, that part of my married life was less than stellar."
"I know B, I just had to ask." Once he spoke, Sebastian leaned his head back and sighed. "I ruined the mood, didn't I?"
"No, you didn't." After the words left his mouth, Blaine moved so he was now straddling Sebastian's lap. "I'm glad you spoke up as the last thing I'd want is you to be distracted when we get started." Blaine told him as he leaned in closer. "I want all your focus on us." Before Sebastian had a chance to speak, Blaine's lips were on his and his hands were busy undoing Sebastian's pants. If there was one thing Sebastian had learned since they'd been together was Blaine had a way of reassuring him anytime his insecurities came though. And with that knowledge, he knew they were in for one hell of a night.
