Chapter 14
Jake thought it was a good idea not to tell Bella about the vampire the other night to which I replied with some very colorful language which resulted into a fight and now we're not talking.
I sat in History class and bounced my leg I was not in the mood to be taught how much of an ass Henry VIII was I felt a tap on my shoulder
"You ok?" Bella asked I nodded
"You? You haven't spoken much since they left"
She flinched and sighed "I'm…better but still…numb"
I smiled slightly "I think I have an idea of how to make you feel better"
After school
"I don't know Delph" Bella looked warily at me with one of Charlie's shot gun in my hand
"O come it will be fun" I aimed the gun at the target which was one of Jake's shirts tied to a tree. Yeah that's right one of Jake's shirts because he's a douche. I fired and it hurt my shoulder a little but I felt giddy
"Your turn"
She took the gun and I showed her how to aim when she took the shot she was shaking a little but she turned to me and grinned
"I love it"
Apparently we scared the neighbours and Charlie brought the police department to the house, it was kind of funny to his face when he had 20 police officers behind him wearing bullet proof vests
"Just what possessed you to do that?" He asked as me and Bella sat on the sofa
"I was helping Bella get some emotions of her chest"
"By shooting a t-shirt on a tree, who's that t-shirt anyway"
"Jake's" I shrugged
He looked at me "Why were you shooting Jake's t-shirt"
"We had a disagreement"
He rolled his eyes and looked to Bella "Do you feel any better?"
She looked up and nodded "Kind of"
He grabbed his coat "Well that's not good enough come on"
Charlie took us to the police station to fire guns in the gun firing section, awesome!
Charlie had to stay behind to deal with some kids who got drunk I drove bella and me home
"Thank you" she said
"For what?"
"Helping, who knew firing a gun would be fun"
We laughed and I saw something out of the corner of my eye a flash of red Shit!
I started the car and drove us to La Push
"Delphine"
"Just hang on Bells" I was pushing 50 as I rounded the corner to the reservation I screeched to a halt and Jake came out with Sam and Billy
As soon as Bella was out of the car I grabbed her and pushed her towards Jake
"Delphine" they shouted
I heard a rustle behind me I turned and suddenly something was on me my head banged on the ground I looked up and saw a woman with fiery red hair and eyes to match she snarled at me
"Get of me you bitch" I spat
She snarled and went to bite me but was shoved off by a wolf I turned and saw Jake holding Bella I saw three other wolves try and get the red head but they were gone in a blink
"Delphine"
Bell hugged me tight "You ok?"
"I'm fine" I looked her over making sure she wasn't hurt
"Let's get in the house" Jake said
I had explained everything to Bella, how Jake and the others were werewolves, how we knew this Victoria was out there but wasn't sure why now we knew it was the partner of James the vampire who tried to kill Bella. Bella was resting before we headed back. I was standing on the front porch when Jake cam out and wrapped his arms around my waist he kissed my forehead
"Are you ok?" he asked
I nodded and turned round to him I brought him down for a kiss
"I'm fine" I sighed "If I meet the Cullen's again I'm afraid I might have to get something sharp and hit them over the heads with it"
He chuckled "You know that won't do any damage to them right?" he tilted his head
I shrugged "It will make me feel better though"
I kissed him but was interrupted by a gagging noise
"O god get a room" Paul commented I flipped him the bird without breaking contact from Jake
We separated and he nudged my nose with his
"I love you"
I smiled widely "I love you too"
"Where's Bella?" Seth came out and looked around
"She was on the couch" I walked in but saw no Bella "Damn she's quick"
"We'll look she's couldn't have gotten far, you and me will check the beach everyone else check to forest"
"Bella!" we were on the beach the harsh wind whipping my hair in every direction, great that's not going to leave knots
"Shit!" I looked to Jake and saw where he was looking; on top of the rocks I saw a figure
"Bella!" I shouted as I saw the figure drop into the ocean "O my god" I ran to the water but Jake stopped me
"Wait here I'll get her"
I paced as I waited for them to come back I heard a splash and saw red hair I looked at it with a glare and it was gone
"Delphine" I saw Jake carrying Bella's lifeless body
"O my god Bella"
He lay her on the beach and I applied mouth to mouth on the third try Bella spluttered and coughed up water
"Thank god, I swear when your feeling better I'm going to beat the shit out of you"
She looked at me "I wasn't…suicide…saw Edward"
I looked at Jake "Edward?"
He shook his head "There was no one there"
"I think I saw Victoria in the water" I turned but saw nothing
"Let's go"
I called Charlie at the station and said we were at Jake's Bella was currently naked wearing only a blanket as her clothes were drying. I made her some hot tea and sat down next to her
"What were you think Bella"
She looked at me "when I get like an adrenaline/danger rush I see Edward" I frowned "it happened in Seattle when I got on a motorcycle with a guy…"
"WHAT!"
"Just please"
I sighed and let her know with my eyes we were so going to talk about that
"And it happened again when Jake taught me how to ride a motorbike"
I turned to him with raised eyebrows on the other coach seat he smiled guilty
"So every time you put yourself in a dangerous situation which could potentially kill you or worse you see Edward"
She nodded and yawned. I sighed taking the cup from her hand
"Lye down and I see if your clothes are dry"
We got in Jake's car Bella was saying bye to everyone
"Delph…"
"Don't" I replied to Jake "I know you were helping her, I'm not mad" I leaned over and kissed him gently
As we parked up Jake tensed and started the car again
"Jake"
"Vampire" he hissed
"In the house?" Bella said
Before Jake started the car Bella said
"That's Carlisle car"
I turned and saw a black Mercedes parked outside the house
Bella jumped from the car and ran to the house, Jake tensed "I can't go in if their back, the treaty"
I nodded "I call you" I kissed him before following Bella
I walked into the living room and…
