Chapter 17
I looked to Bella to see she was already looking at me in horror
"I'll turn her myself" Alice spoke
"Can you see this Alice?" Aro asked "Can you be certain you will change her?"
"If so" the blond one said "prove it"
Alice looked at me with fear in her eyes she knew, her and Bella knew if I was ever turned into a vampire my relationship with Jacob was over the ring which was still on my finger felt like a giant rock
"I'm afraid dear Delphine" the bored one said standing up "you must not leave"
"I wouldn't say anything" I argued my heart began to race which didn't help my case "Bella's my sister if I did say anything it would come back to her, and no one would believe me"
"We can't take any chances" the blond was spoke
"I'll ask Carlisle to speak to her" Edward said
"He'll talk to her about it"Aro sighed "You know the rules Edward, Bella is an exception because I have seen she will be turned but unfortunately Alice cannot foresee Delphines future being turned into a vampire, we cannot risk it"
I turned to Bella and she had tears in her eyes she began to speak but I stopped her
"Fine" I turned to Aro "but you give her time she needs to be turned into a vampire"
"Delphine" Bella gasped
Aro thought about this before nodding
"And you kill me, you don't make me into a vampire"
He didn't say anything but nodded
"Can I have a moment then, to say goodbye"
The door behind us opened and a woman walked in with a bunch of people
"Heidi, please come in" Aro spoke before looking to me "Very well, I will have someone come to get out when we are done"
I nodded and we walked out, Demtetri followed behind us and showed us into a room which was dimly lit before joining the others just before he closed the door we heard screaming
"Delphine you can't…Jake" Bella gasped
"Shush" I hugged her tightly "it's ok" I stroked her hair
"Now I want you to do something" I pulled her back and looked in her eyes which were teary "I want you to tell Charlie that I was bored of Forks and I wanted to travel again say that I love him but I needed to go I felt trapped there"She sniffed
"What about Jake"
I paused, I felt my heart break the thought of never seeing him again and my last conversation with him burned through my mind I turned to Edward
"Is there a pen and paper somewhere" He nodded he disappeared and reappeared with a pen and some paper
"I'll write a letter to Jake and one of you will give it to him"
Bella began to cry and hugged me tightly
"I don't want you to…"
"It's ok Bells" I kissed her forehead "I love you ok, I love you and you're going to be fine"
I looked at Alice and Edward "Keep her safe and never ever leave her again"
"I promise" Edward looked at me like he wanted to cry Bella pulled back and wiped away her tears I was shocked to find myself in Edwards arms I chuckled and hugged him back
"I am so very sorry this happened to you Delphine"
"It's ok, I'll piss them off before they kill me I'm not going to die without insulting one of them"
He pulled back and smiled weakly he kissed my forehead "I'll miss you and I promise to keep her safe and to be with her always and forever"
I smiled "Thank you"
Alice hugged me next
"I'm sorry I couldn't…"
I broke her off
"I wouldn't be a vampire Alice, I couldn't do that to Jake" She nodded and handed me the piece of paper to write to Jake I sent everyone on there way to get out of here, I didn't want Bella to see me being taken away for these bastards to kill me.
It seemed like forever but Demetri opened the door
"It's time"I sighed and stood up
I followed him out the room I looked to the reception I saw the woman wasn't there anymore I guess she was for didn't take me back into the giant room but took me down to a narrow corridor which opened up into a corridor. The walls covered in dark red and black banisters it was kind of beautiful with the gentle lighting it reminded me of the old Victoria houses you would see in Italy back in time
"Where are we going?"
He didn't answer only continued to walk until we reached the room on the end he opened the door and ushered me in. Despite my efforts it really was a beautiful room
"I was disappointed to learn Aro is intending to kill you" I turned but gasped as I was suddenly pinned to the wall
"I suppose im going to have to fix that" and then he bit me
Bella POV
My head was tucked into Edward's shoulder Alice was talking to Jasper on the phone as the woman brought me another coca cola can
"Are you ok?" he stroked my hair gently
"No" I muttered "I can't believe I left her"
"The Volturi have remained in power Bella because they know how to manipulate, they know how to use people, If you would have stayed they would have killed you both"
Bella was silent for a moment but then thought of someone who was going to be even more broken by Delphine not coming back
"What am I going to tell Jake?"
Delphine POV
I was in so much pain I thought I might throw up I'm going to kill that bastard if I got out of here. Aro had come by 'just in time' to pull him off me. Just in time my ass they planned this the pain began to fade and I lay still.
Jake's POV
I waited by Bella and Delphines house hearing my dad and Charlie talking inside my dad reassuring Charlie everything was going to be fine I wasn't so sure I felt pain and sickness from the moment she went with Bella and the leech I stood up as I saw the Mercedes pull up I saw Bella and the two leeches great that meant all of them would be coming back.
But my heart dropped as I didn't see Delphine.
I ran to the car and aimed at Edward
"Where the hell is Delphine" I got in his face and he looked pained
"Jake it's not Edward's fault"
"What do you mean?" I turned to Bella who had tear strakes down her face "What happened"
