Chapter 18
I was going to kick his ass then I was going to kill him that bastard had changed me against my will and I was going to go full Carrie on his ass.
I opened my eyes and I could see everything more clearly I could hear the traffic from outside and the beeping of cars.
Sitting up I looked around the room and noticed I was lying on a bed which had been fitted with crisp clean sheets which felt soft to the touch
The door opened an I saw Aro standing there with that smug ass grin
"Delphine, we are…"
I cut him off because I was not in the bloody mood "Spare me the o we are so glad you're alive bullshit where is that slimy bastard"
Demetri turned the corner and smiled I leaped at him but was stopped by the big guy, Felix I think he was called
"Demetri is sorry he turned you Delphine"
I scoffed "Of course he is" I glared at him god I wish I could kill him
"But isn't it better this way?"
"For who you or me?" he looked confused and I rolled my eyes "don't play innocent"
"Master" Jane walked in and glared at me I flipped her the bird as best as I could without bug guy strangling my arms "Garrett is here to see you"
"Ahhh wounderful, please follow us Delphine I have asked a friend to come and identify your gifts"

Jake POV
I could hear them outside of the house Leah was pissing me off
"He needs to get out of this mood, I feel depressed all the time"
"Leah" Emily scolded
"You know how it works Leah" Sam said "When we loose our mate"
"I know" Leah sighed
I clutched the bed sheet closer to me and I could still smell her I clenched my eyes closed and begged myself not to cry I smiled slightly when I saw her sock hidden underneath my desk
Flashback
"Jake where's my sock I can't go without it" she looked under the cushions and I chuckled
"No idea"
She charged at me I grabbed her and pulled her underneath me I tickled her until she begged for mercy I began to kiss the side of her neck and sliding my hands underneath her shirt her breathing became irregular
"Do you really need your sock?"
"No"
She pulled me down and kissed me

It was no use I bit my lip and started to cry knowing I had lost the only person I would ever love I had lost my friend, soul mate and future fiancé
Bella's POV
I was sitting in the cafeteria, Edward held my hand as we listened to Alice talk about the prom
"You ok?" I looked at Edward and smiled weakly
"I can't believe she's gone"
He held my hand tighter
"I need to see Jake" I said
"No" Edward said "It's too…"
"Edward, they were engaged like it or not I'm going to see him"
Edward nodded and kissed my forehead "Ok"
Delphine POV
I stood with my arms crossed looking at Garrett
"A shield what the hell is a shield?"
"A shield can block any psychic power from invading that persons mind which is why Jane cannot harm you"
I looked to Jane and smiled "o I bet that's pissing you off"
She walked over to me but I punched her in the face I was held back by Demetri and Alec held his sister back
"She is more powerful than Renata she can project her shield to multiple people"
I saw a woman shift next to Aro her face is rigid with distress and she looked uncomfortable she looked at me and I couldn't help but feel sorry for her
"Thank you Garrett please stay for dinner"
Aro didn't wait for a reply and shrugged out of Demetris grip and he chuckled at me
"You'll learn to care for me Delphine"
"Go to hell" I spat
He grinned before walking away with the others
"Delphine" I turned to Garrett and he smiled kindly he seemed to be generally uncomfortable "May we walk"
I grinned "We may"
If vampires could blush I had no doubt he would have "sorry old manners"
I shrugged
Aro POV
I watched Delphine and Garrett walk out of the room
"Master"
I turned to Demetri
"Good work turning her"
He nodded
"Do you express feelings for her?"
"Love? No but I would like her as my mate"
I nodded with a smile "she can protect us in battle when Reneta can't"
"Would Corin be able to make her more at ease here"
I shook my head "No we need to do this the old fashion way, seduce her Demetri"
He grinned "My pleasure"
"Poor Jane will be heartbroken"
He scoffed "if that girl ever had a heart she would have tore it out herself"
I chuckled lightly knowing it was true
Delphines POV
"Delphine you must be careful here"
"I know"
"What I said to Aro is only half true you are a shield but you are so much more"
I looked at him confused
"You're a mimic you can copy any power you wish, any vampire you come in to contact with you will naturally copy their gift"
"So I'm like a mockingjay bird? I can copy any tune or in this case any power"
"Exactly but you cannot let anyone know, you can protect yourself with this but you must learn how to channel it the power is already there"
I nodded and smiled "Thank you"
