38. Chapter 38

#38 Infuriating

Casey McDonald went to her locker early Friday morning for her day of classes. She had two tests today, one in Science and one in History. Casey was not worried at all for Science, it came easy to her and should be a breeze. History, on the hand, Casey was kind of freaking out about. It was to be five pages long and 80 questions, and Casey was kind of freaking out.

Casey had been studying all week, and even made 150 flashcards to help her study. She took her books and binders out. She immediately opened up her history binder to take out her flashcards. As she flipped open her binder, a panic swept though her. She couldn't find her cards. She rapidly flipped through the notebook and couldn't find them anywhere. She quickly disorganized her locker, tearing it apart, but still no luck.

The rest of the day Casey was freaking out. She couldn't function without her notes. By the time the test came, Casey completely blanked out. She took the test and was sure she failed.

As she packed up her binders and papers, Derek who was also in the class, passed by her and dropped something on her desk. As Casey looked up she saw that Derek had put her cards on her desk, all 150 of them. Casey was furious. She grabbed her stuff and ran out of the room, running to find him.

Casey finally caught up to him outside in the parking lot heading into the Prince car. "Derek!" Casey yelled, and Derek completely ignored her. She slid into the passenger seat and repeated herself. "DER-EK!" She yelled. "What? I'm sitting right next to you." He said casually, infuriating Casey even more. "You stole my flashcards!" She exclaimed. "Yeah, forgot about the test, couldn't fail it. So I broke into your locker and took out your crazy cards." He said easily, pulling into their driveway.

He walked out of the car and into the house, with Casey following close behind. Derek headed up the stairs, ignoring Casey's calls. Casey followed Derek into his room. "Derek, I am talking to you!" She said angrily, and he quickly whipped around. And in one quick moment, he grabbed her face and kissed her, quickly silencing her ranting. She quickly found herself kissing him back.

After they broke apart, Casey whispered, "You are so infuriating." Derek and Casey finished that sentence in sync, leaning in and kissing again.
